Classic Emmerdale spoilers: Donna wants to join the police, Eric’s suspicious, and Jack’s annoyed again

In today’s Classic Emmerdale spoilers for episodes airing on ITV3 on Thursday, December 12, Donna drops a bombshell on the unimpressed Dingles and then gives Marlon an ultimatum!  Eric’s suspicious about Pearl’s finances, and Jack’s annoyed again

These episodes originally aired on June 4 and 5, 2006.

Donna is not taking any nonsense in Classic Emmerdale

Donna is working hard to make a success of the night cafe, so she is not impressed when the Dingles descend en masse and announce they should eat free because they’re family.

To make things even worse, she finds Shadrach swigging booze in the shop. She gives chase, and he legs it upstairs – where they interrupt a frisky Bob and Viv dressed in their best saucy attire!

Furious (and more than a little disturbed!) Donna makes a citizen’s arrest.

    Eric’s suspicious

Meanwhile at Home Farm, Eric is suspicious when Pearl shows up at the housing development launch. He asks her if she’s planning to invest in property now. And he tells her that first she pleaded poverty, then paid off her debts in one fell swoop – and that makes him wonder what she’s up to.

He even suggests she might have stolen the cash – which isn’t that far from the truth.

Later, Pearl is even more shaken when Edna quizzes her about where she got the money to repay the debt.

    Katie’s night is ruined

Elsewhere, Katie plans a night in for her and Andy, but it’s ruined when Jo comes home early and helps herself to their wine.

    Donna drops a bombshell

The next day, a still angry Donna is determined to press charges against Shadrach. Marlon is horrified and asks her to reconsider but she won’t give in. Zak tells Donna she must face the Dingle court. But Donna thinks the whole thing is ridiculous.

And then she drops a bombshell! She tells the stunned Dingles that they’d better get used to her shopping them, because she’s planning to join the police!

She even gives Marlon an ultimatum – his family, or her.

Classic Emmerdale spoilers: Jack’s cross – again

Daz is working at the Woolpack but while he’s collecting glasses, he’s draining the dregs. Jack’s annoyed to find him tipsy and blames Diane for not keeping an eye on him.

    Rodney’s got an idea

Meanwhile, as Rodney browses the shelves in the shop, Viv reads aloud from the newspaper. She shares a story about a donkey sanctuary that could be forced to close due to council cutbacks and Rodney realises this could be a good way to win votes…

Emmerdale confirms Ruby was the victim of sexual violence as they prepare to air flashback episode

Ruby Fox-Miligan’s tragic past will be revealed in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale. Viewers will learn that she was a victim of sexual violence as a child.

As Steph goes through some old photos she comes across a photograph from Ruby’s 16th birthday. When she shows her mum Ruby says she doesn’t remember – but it’s clear she does.

Flashback to Ruby as a teen in Emmerdale

In flashback viewers will then get to see Ruby’s sixteenth birthday party. It’s here they will get a glimpse of her tragic past – although the scenes are not graphic in content.

Ruby’s husband Caleb doesn’t know what happened to Ruby as a child. This is because she has buried the trauma as a coping mechanism throughout her life.

But now the arrival of Steph as well as Ruby’s dad Anthony has stirred up a lot of emotions for Ruby. Her life has begun to spiral out of control. The painful memories have resurfaced and flooded her thoughts. And the truth about her past goes someway to explaining why she pushed Steph away as a child.

Fans have been convinced that something awful happened with her father. Some even speculated he could be the father of Steph and not Caleb.

Others are sure the mysterious Rob, who has been mentioned by Anthony and we will see in the flashforward, is behind the attack.

“Ruby has always been troubled and volatile in nature,” said Emmerdale Producer, Laura Shaw. “Finally our audience will be able to learn more about the past that has haunted her and made Ruby the woman she is today.”

Classic Emmerdale spoilers: Pearl’s money troubles get worse, and Jack is cross with Victoria

In today’s Classic Emmerdale spoilers airing on ITV3 on Wednesday, December 11, Pearl’s money troubles get worse, there’s tension between Jack and Diane, and Daz’s mum is back.

These episodes originally aired on June 1 and 2, 2006.

    Pearl gets in deeper

Pearl is determined to finish the silk flower order, and with Eric out of the factory she sees her chance. But when she’s caught red-handed by Eric himself, he fires her on the spot and demands his money back by 5pm the next day, leaving Pearl in despair.

    Mum troubles

Daz’s mum Denise returns to the village after a call from Victoria. Daz agrees to meet Denise but he tells her he won’t be leaving with her. Instead, he says he’s going back to live with Katie and Andy at Butler’s.

    Jack’s being grumpy

Jack and Andy are annoyed with Victoria for interfering and Jack grounds her. But she’s cross too, especially when Andy lectures her about what it’s like to have a mother like Denise. Later, though, Victoria apologises. While Diane warns Jack to put Vic first rather than worrying about Andy and Daz.

Pearl chats to Val looking serious

Classic Emmerdale spoilers: Pearl scams Val

Later, Pearl shares her worries with Edna who urges her to be honest with Len. But when Val asks for details of the investment scheme, Pearl spots another opportunity. She takes Val’s money – pretending she’s going to invest it – and repays Eric.

Pearl’s left hating herself while Eric is suspicious.

Jack’s even more grumpy in Classic Emmerdale

Wanting to build bridges with Daz, Diane offers him a job collecting glasses at the pub. But Jack isn’t happy with Diane’s idea.

Elsewhere, Toni worries she’s messed things up with Paddy. Shadrach turns up at the night cafe wanting a freebie, but Donna sends him packing.

Emmerdale spoilers: New Year flashforwards hint at a dramatic 2025 in the village

Emmerdale spoilers for the new year have revealed that viewers will be treated to five exciting flashforwards, giving everyone a hint of the drama that will unfold in the village in 2025.

But who will the flashforwards feature and what will they reveal?

Read on to find out more in our Emmerdale spoilers.

Kim plants a kiss on Will

    Home Farm mayhem

As the new year dawns at Home Farm, things aren’t looking good for 2025 chez Tate/Taylor.

As eerie music plays, it’s clear there’s been a struggle in the deserted house. The Christmas tree is overturned with decorations strewn on the floor. Where is Kim? Where is Will?

Is this anything to do with Peter and his plan to destroy Kim? And who is he working with?

Jacob looks upset in his doctor's scrubs outside the ward

    Medical mishaps?

Jacob’s career as a doctor is stepping up, with a special episode focusing on his first day in his placement in A&E.

We can’t help but wonder if one of the flashforwards will feature him. And let’s not forget, those rumours that his mum, Leyla, will be killed off, aren’t going away. Perhaps the flashforward will hint at a tragedy in Jacob’s future?

    Ruby out of control?

We love Ruby so we hate to see her life spiralling out of control with the reappearance of her dad, and her dalliance with Cain messing with her head.

Could Ruby be involved in a flashforward, coming hot on the heels from this week’s flashBACK?

Perhaps a glimpse as to the future for her relationship with Caleb, which let’s face it, is pretty toxic.

Can Coira recover? (Credit: ITV/Comp Emmerdale Insider)

Emmerdale spoilers: The end of Coira?

Secrets never stay secret for long in Soapland – we all know that. Because Cain is looking shifty every time Moira talks to him and Ruby is falling apart, we think this is one secret that will be common knowledge by the new year.

Perhaps one flashforward will show the end of our beloved Coira? We’re not sure if they can come back from this, can they?

Brenda looks devastated as Eric explains

    Broken-hearted Brenda

We know Brenda’s leaving Emmerdale, and we know Eric’s broken her heart, but what we don’t know is when or how she is leaving. And we don’t know if one of the new year flashforwards will give a hint about how she goes.

  • Emmerdale review of the week: Eric’s lost everything, Jade’s awful, and Moira’s got lovely hair

Emmerdale review of the week: Eric’s lost everything, Jade’s awful, and Moira’s got lovely hair

Our Emmerdale review this week is a mixed bag. There were things we loved and things we didn’t. A few things that we thought were really cleverly done and some that really weren’t.

Here’s what we thought in our Emmerdale review of the week.

    Brenda chats to Eric seriously?
Eric lost all of Brenda’s savings (Credit: ITV)

    Eric’s gamble

We have been surprised by how invested we are in Eric’s impulsive behaviour and the fall out. We’ve been musing about why this has drawn us in, when it’s really a rather low-key storyline. And here’s what we reckon – it’s old school, isn’t it?

Classic Emmerdale is full of stories about money worries, scams and fraud, so in terms of subject matter this feels like something from back in the day (though back then, it would have been Pollard doing the scamming!).

But more than that, it’s been a slow burn. Eric changed his medication a while ago. It was a throwaway, inconsequential storyline that we didn’t think was important. But since then his behaviour has become more impulsive, and now his whole world has fallen apart because he’s gambled away all his money and Brenda’s too on a cryptocurrency scam.

It’s so sad to see Eric suffering and to watch Brenda’s heart breaking. We wish there was a way back for them. But it doesn’t look good, does it?

Jade in between Billy and Ross
Why is Jade so scary? (Credit: ITV)

    Emmerdale review: Evil Jade

Jade continues to be a strange mix of mega-villain and petty criminal. And we do not like it. Nothing about her weird pursuit of Ross makes sense. In fact nothing about her at all makes sense.

She is a master criminal who has a team of henchmen and one henchwoman, evil enough to dangle poor April off a multi-storey carpark. She knows everything about everyone. She has a fancy car and someone to drive her round in it. And yet her line of business appears to be running half-hearted boxing matches. She’s hardly Lex Luther is she?

What was her plan when she viciously assaulted a little girl? If her minion had dropped poor April, Jade still wouldn’t have had her money.

Why are all these hard men so scared of her? Is it the beret? And WHY OH WHY didn’t Ross, or Billy, or Aaron or Mack just call the police?

Anyway given she’s still determined to get her mitts on the missing £3000 so it seems it’s not the last we’ve seen of Jade. YAY.

April is dangled over the side of the carpark
There was a silver lining to April’s ordeal (Credit: ITV)

    April, Marlon and Ross

The awful cloud of the whole Jade thing though, had a silver lining. Two in fact. First of all we love the revisiting of April and Ross’s relationship. They have a sweet, quirky bond that really works.

And secondly, how good was Marlon and April’s chat about Donna? It’s nice to see them together and their relationship changing as April grows up. Plus it’s always good when soaps show the long-lasting effects of grief – just as Emmerdale is doing with Moira and Holly.

    Emmerdale review: Caleb and Ruby
Caleb’s not listening to Ruby (Credit: ITYV)

Rubbish husbands in our Emmerdale review

Marlon’s a treasure, but elsewhere in Emmerdale, the husbands are definitely lacking. They’re all just useless! Cain’s moping about feeling sorry for himself after he *checks notes* slept with his sister-in-law. Poor lamb.

Caleb’s busy ignoring wife Ruby’s obvious distress about her dad’s presence and not even asking her what’s up.

Mack’s playing Disney dad but being a right wally about it (and frankly, he deserved that punch from Ross, and the slap from Jade’s henchwoman). Eric’s lost Brenda’s life savings… the men of Emmerdale aren’t covering themselves in glory, are they?

    Forgotten characters

Mary’s back! Yay! And even Ivy got a mention this week. We find it really frustrating how characters vanish for weeks at a time in Emmerdale. Now, if we could just find Rhona…

Emmerdale review: Will Moira be okay? (Credit: ITV)
Moira’s got lovely hair (Credit: ITV)

Things that didn’t make sense in Emmerdale this week

There were a few things that left us scratching our heads this week, so we thought we’d lump them all together.

First of all, how quiet was that multi-storey carpark, in the middle of Hotten, three weeks before Christmas? The only cars parked in the whole place belonged to Jade, Billy and Aaron. There were no people around. No office workers, no Christmas shoppers. No one saw a thing. What luck,

Elsewhere, we were bemused by Moira’s very sweet memories of Holly leaving notes for the fairies in the bottom of a tree trunk. Except Holly was about 16 or more when the Bartons first came to Emmerdale.

But we didn’t spend too long wondering about that because we were very distracted by Moira arriving home with a toss of her luscious locks. Which, though enviable, seemed slightly out of keeping for someone who’s just had major brain surgery.

How did the surgeons at Hotten General manage to get inside Moira’s noggin without so much as harming a hair on her head? Impressive work!

  • Is Brenda and Eric’s wedding off? Here’s everything we know about their fate following cryptocurrency scam

Is Brenda and Eric’s wedding off? Here’s everything we know about their fate following cryptocurrency scam

Eric Pollard has lost everything in Emmerdale – all his money, all of Brenda Walker‘s money, and now it looks like he’s about to lose Brenda, too.

But is it really over for the cute couple? Is their Christmas wedding definitely off?

It’s definitely not looking good. Here’s everything we know.

Emmerdale's Eric and Brenda talking in the shop
Will Brenda and Eric get a happy ending? (Credit: ITV)

Brenda and Eric’s wedding is on in Emmerdale

Eric was baffled when the increase in his investment wasn’t showing on his cryptocurrency account. He tried to speak to his finance advisor about it but got cut off – and that’s when Eric started to worry.

Elsewhere, Brenda had found the perfect wedding dress, but when she went to pay her card was declined. Eric told her it was a technical problem at the bank and fibbed that he’d spoken to someone about it.

But of course he was lying – he’d invested everything he had, and everything Brenda had, too, in the cryptocurrency scam.

In desperation he turned to the racing pages of the newspaper, hoping to win back the money he’d lost, when he was interrupted by Liam who clocked him taking cash from the till.

Worried Liam warned him that a rare side effect of his new medication was that it could make him act recklessly.

Backed into a corner, Eric confessed that he’d lost the cash, and had secured a loan on his house. Liam begged him to come off the medication, but Pollard insisted he was going to the bookies and threatened to call the police!

Eric threatened Liam with the police

    The wedding’s off!

Back home, Eric returned triumphant with Brenda’s wedding dress all bought and paid for. But it turned out Liam had spoken to Brenda and explained what her husband was up to. And she’d had a chat with the bank and found out the truth about what had happened to her savings.

A clearly devastated Brenda asked her fiancé what he was thinking, blowing her life savings. Eric tried to get round her by showing her his winnings because his horse had come in. But Brenda wasn’t listening. She told Eric his betrayal was so deep, she couldn’t get over it!

    Brenda looks upset

The wedding’s off but the couple are on!

Except she did! By today’s episode, Brenda was telling Eric that they were in it together. Though Eric was still convinced his money troubles were all just a big misunderstanding.

But later, a shocked and upset Eric told Brenda and Jacob that the number for his account manager was no longer in service and finally accepted he’d been scammed. And Brenda revealed that she’d already called the police who’d said there was nothing they could do.

Brenda had a chat with Liam, who told her he was convinced it was all a side effect of Pollard’s medication. But it’s too late now. “He’s ruined us,” she said. “Financially we’re sunk.”

But Liam assured her what Eric needed was her love and support. It looked bleak, though, when Brenda asked him what she needed.

And when she saw Eric in the street, she pointed out that he owned the house and everything she’d worked for was gone. Jacob suggested to his horrified grandfather that the only way to pay back Brenda’s money was to sell the shop.

So that’s exactly what he promised to do.

    Eric looks shocked
Jacob told Eric he needs to sell the shop (Credit: ITV)

    Brenda and Eric are off!

But Brenda had something else on her mind. She’d realised Eric was on his new meds when he proposed and she wanted to know if he meant it.

He admitted that he’d never intended to marry again, devastating poor Brenda, who assumed all the lovely things he’d said when he proposed were lies.

Later though, Eric told her he meant every word. He told her he didn’t mind if they got married or not, but said he didn’t know what he would do if Brenda ever left him.

    Brenda chats to Eric seriously?
    Will Brenda forgive Eric?

Brenda and Eric are on in Emmerdale – or are they?!

But then – hooray – Brenda assured him she wasn’t going anywhere.

And this makes us nervous! Because it’s been reported that actress Lesley Dunlop, who plays Brenda, is leaving her role after 16 years as Ms Walker.

So does this mean the wedding’s off or on? We’re really not sure now!

Chloe Harris and baby Reuben: Where they went and why Mack doesn’t see his son

Mack is sad about his estranged son Reuben in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale and mentions Reuben’s mum, Chloe Harris too.

The little lad – who is now about 18 months old – got two mentions in today’s ep (Tuesday December 3), with Mack sharing his despair at not having contact with his son.

So as it’s almost a year since Reuben and his mum Chloe left the village, we thought it was time to recap everything that happened in their time in the Dales and where they’ve gone.

    Chloe’s arrival

Everything about Chloe’s arrival in Emmerdale was a little bit odd!

She turned up first of all because her late sister, Gemma, was Sarah Sugden‘s heart donor. She and Sarah struck up a friendship, and it became clear that Chloe had a strange home life. She lived in a big house, but was all alone and despite having lots of cash, was lonely and sad.

In a strange twist, as viewers got to know Chloe better, it was revealed that her housekeeper was Kerry Wyatt! She was taking care of Chloe while her dad Damon was in prison. Not only that, but Damon had a team of creepy henchmen who were watching Chloe’s every move.

    Escape to Emmerdale

Eventually Chloe managed to flee her weird prison and moved to Emmerdale to live with Kerry and her daughter Amy. She struck up a romance with Noah Dingle, and the pair were quite cute for a minute, before Noah got – well – a bit dark.

When Chloe lost interest in Noah and turned her attention to older man Nate Robinson, Noah wasn’t happy. He started being more than a little sinister, snooping through Chloe’s things – including her underwear – and taking hundreds of photos of her. He even held her hostage!

Not surprisingly, Chloe was not happy about this turn of events and Noah ended up going to prison for three months.

Another twist for Chloe Harris in Emmerdale

In 2022, Mack had a one-night stand with a mystery person while he was on a break from then girlfriend Charity after she had a miscarriage. What a gem he is, eh?

Fans were convinced it could have been Aaron Dingle but disappointingly his secret lover turned out to be Chloe.

And when Chloe inevitably turned out to be pregnant, things got even messier.

Chloe didn’t want Mackenzie to know at first, and planned to leave. Kerry was desperate for her to stay and revealed that she was actually Chloe’s real mum. Whaaaaat?!

    Baby blues

Chloe eventually told Mack the news but he’d reconciled with Charity and didn’t want to know. Things got tricky, though, when Charity took Chloe under her wing and even invited her to live with them for a while.

There was a lot of to-ing and fro-ing between Mack and Chloe as he struggled to secretly support her through her pregnancy and during Reuben’s birth.

But of course, Charity eventually found out. She was FUMING. She and Mack broke up and he tried to make a go of it with Chloe.

    Clifftop plunge for Chloe Harris

But the dream of playing happy families fell apart when Mack cheated on Chloe with Charity. Chloe worked it all out and plotted to leave, but actually ended up in the car with Mack and Charity too. And in dramatic scenes, the car plunged off the road. As it teetered on the edge of a cliff, Mack chose to save Charity, leaving Chloe to die when the car crashed down.

Except she didn’t die. In fact, she was fine! But out for revenge.

    Harry Harris

Criminal Harry had been seen on screen before, getting close to Chas Dingle in order to take revenge on her brother Caleb. But it turned out he was actually Chloe’s dad, Damon! Who was also called Harry!

Harry was sinister and abusive, and when he found out about the car accident he decided to take revenge on Mackenzie. Except Harry went a bit too far and held Mack hostage. When Chloe, and then Charity worked it out, they tried to rescue him. A struggle happened and Charity accidentally shot and killed Harry!

Chloe saw a chance to make this work to her advantage and said she’d cover up Charity’s crime and back up her story, if Mack let her and baby Reuben go without a fight.

Mack agreed, though he was heartbroken. He said a tearful goodbye to his son, and off they went, never to be seen again.

Chloe has kept in touch with her sister Amy and mum Kerry. In today’s episode, Amy reported that both Chloe and Reuben were “thriving”.

Who played Chloe Harris in Emmerdale?

Chloe was played by television newcomer Jessie Elland.

Talented Jessie is also a writer and her debut novel The Ladie Upstairs – described as a feminist horror story – will be published next year.
