Emmerdale spoilers: Gabby and Vinny prepare to take the next step in their relationship

In Emmerdale spoilers for next week things are hotting up between Gabby and Vinny as they decide to take their relationship to the next level.

This is a massive deal for Vinny, having never been intimate with anyone before. Not even his late wife, Liv. So will his first time be a moment to remember?

Gabby and Vinny’s romance is blossoming in Emmerdale spoilers

They say opposites attract and that’s proved to be the case for Gabby and Vinny. Their friendship blossomed into a sweet romance earlier this year, taking them, and the viewers, by surprise.

Historically, Gabby has always gone for bad boys. Remember her toxic affair with Jamie Tate and engagement to lying rogue Nicky Miligan? She certainly knows how to pick them. Vinny might not possess the same smooth charm, but he’s a decent guy. And that’s just what Gabby needs.

Vinny was the one who made the first move, and was buzzing when Gabby reciprocated his advances. Everything was going great, until Gabby told Vinny she knew he was a virgin.

Embarrassed by his lack of experience, Vinny panicked and called time on things with Gabby. But now they’re back on and Mandy’s son feels ready to take the plunge.

    Vinny declares he’s ready

As Gabby and Vinny reunite with a kiss, he tells her he wants them to take the next step.

Vinny has never had sex with anyone before. He married late wife Liv Flaherty, fully accepting of the fact she was not sexually attracted to him. Being together was more important to Vinny than a round of bedroom athletics.

However, Vinny knows Gabby will want more from a relationship. He tells her he’s ready, but does Gabby feel the same? Will she be the girl to pop Vinny’s cherry?

Aaron gives Vinny and Gabby his blessing in Emmerdale spoilers

After his encounter with Gabby, Vinny has a chat with former brother-in-law, Aaron.

He realises what’s going on between Vinny and Gabby and decides to give the couple his blessing. It’s a huge relief for Vinny, who feared what Aaron would make of him moving on from Liv.

But Aaron refuses to dwell on the past and encourages Vinny to seize his chance of happiness. Could this be the start of something special for Gabby and Vinny?

The bride-to-be is thrilled when Amelia surprises her with a hen do and karaoke set. But before she can let her hair down, Mandy’s got a client to entertain and a beard trim to do on Bear.

Unable to fit it all in, Mandy passes Bear’s appointment on to Amelia and sneaks off to call her findom admirer. She gets into character and starts exchanging dirty talk with the caller. But Mandy’s whole world is about to implode when Bear overhears her conversation.

Alone in the Salon, Bear can’t believe his ears when Mandy’s findom call starts coming through the karaoke speakers.

The sound of his future daughter-in-law exchanging smut with a person, who’s not his son, comes as a real shock. Bear struggles to compose himself and is clearly troubled by Mandy’s betrayal.

There’s awkwardness in the air when Mandy re-enters the room. Bear makes a few barbed comments, which leave Mandy feeling on edge. But will she realise he’s rumbled her secret?

Returning home, Bear starts reading up on findom in a bid to understand what Mandy is up to. But as Marlon decides to throw Paddy an impromptu stag, Bear is torn whether to keep quiet.

He soon decides to give Mandy the chance to own up and confronts her with what he knows. Mandy is naturally mortified and desperately tries to justify her actions. But she remains steadfast in her refusal to tell Paddy – which makes Bear even angrier.

He threatens to spill the beans, but Mandy convinces him not to by promising to quit the sex work.

Mandy and Paddy’s wedding day arrives in Emmerdale spoilers

It’s the moment Mandy has been waiting for as she prepares to say I do to man of her dreams. But across the village, Paddy is having serious doubts.

The vet is reeling from the discovery that Mandy has been lying to his face for weeks. Not only is she up to her eyeballs in debt, but she’s also been masquerading as financial dominatrix, Madame Diamante Dales.

Paddy discovered the truth from his father Bear, who overheard Mandy in conversation with one of her clients. Bear then confronted Mandy, who promised she’d turn her back on the seedy side hustle and be faithful to his son. But it was yet another fib, which Bear proved by posing as an online admirer to catch her out.

Refusing to let Paddy be taken for a fool, Bear came clean to his son. Paddy’s now got to decide to what to do and work out if Mandy is the one for him.

Meanwhile, Mandy is giddy with excitement as she and son Vinny prepare for the nuptials. Bob watches on as the excited pair rush to the Salon to get ready for the day ahead. But Mandy’s bubble of bliss is about to get burst.

Over at Tenants, Bear doesn’t hold back in expressing his disapproval over Mandy’s betrayal. Marlon, however, tries to stick up for his cousin, pointing out she must have been desperate to take up sex work. The pair end up at each other’s throats, but their quarrel is interrupted by an announcement from Paddy.

After going back and forth, the vet has reached his decision. He DOESN’T want to marry Mandy!

Naturally, Bear is thrilled by his son’s decision to cancel the wedding. But Marlon doesn’t share his feelings though, and wonders if there’s a way he can change his best friend’s mind. As Marlon tries to figure out how he can prevent a disaster, Mandy’s still none the wiser.

Now dressed in her wedding outfit, the bride shares an emotional moment with Vinny. But their happiness is short-lived when Bear enters the Salon. Revealing he was her secret caller, Bear also declares Paddy knows everything about Mandy’s findom business.

The humiliation is real, and Mandy knows she’s got some serious grovelling to do. She dashes across the village to apologise to Paddy. But will sorry be enough to change his mind about the wedding? Is the best day of Mandy’s life about to turn into her worst?

After Rose beds Will, 7 other Emmerdale affairs really wound us up

Seductress Rose Jackson finally got what she wanted in Emmerdale after she lured Kim Tate’s husband Will Taylor into bed.

Rose has been putting it on Will for weeks, carefully planting seeds of doubt over the state of his marriage. It’s all been part of a bigger plot, orchestrated by Ruby Fox-Miligan, to get revenge on Kim.

Intent on destroying their rival’s life, Ruby ordered Rose to complete their plan by sleeping with Will. She did as she was told and made her move. This time, Will didn’t resist and gave into temptation, betraying his wife in the process.

Rose may be on a high after getting her wicked way with Will, but we can’t share in her enthusiasm. In fact, the whole thing is really annoying.

But Rose and Will isn’t the first Emmerdale affair to have us yelling at our screens. Let’s take a trip down memory lane. Apologies in advance.

    Worst Emmerdale affairs

Al and Chas cuddle up in bed in white dressing gowns at a hotel
Chas has been forgiven, but this has not been forgotten (Credit: ITV)

    Chas Dingle and Al Chapman

Woolpack manager Chas Dingle has made some pretty stupid mistakes in her life, Al Chapman being the biggest.

The affair started back in 2022. Chas was bored of her marriage to dependable Paddy and struggling over mum Faith’s terminal cancer diagnosis. Needing a distraction from her pain, Chas embarked on a torrid affair with on/off nemesis Al.

It wasn’t the first time Chas had cheated on Paddy, but her antics with Al felt in rather poor taste. Chas was so caught up in her forbidden romance, she ended up missing Faith’s final moments. Fans were disgusted by Chas’s selfishness as she carried on telling lie after lie to cover her tracks.

When the affair became public knowledge, the fallout was epic. Al ended up six feet under after being shot dead by young Kyle, and Chas didn’t fare much better. The Dingles turned against her and Paddy was equally unforgiving.

It left viewers wondering if there could be any redemption for the former landlady. Two years on, Chas is back in the circle of trust, but it’s taken a lot of work to get there.

    Bob Hope and Laurel Thomas

It’s difficult to think about Bob Hope and Laurel Thomas’s 2017 affair without shuddering.

Because Bob had been a bit of a dog back in the day it didn’t come as a surprise when he strayed. But his choice of lover certainly raised a few eyebrows.

Laurel and Bob’s affair began after he supported her claims against unhinged Emma Barton. They began sleeping together, but it wasn’t long before Brenda rumbled the betrayal.

Hours after tying the knot with Bob, Brenda outed her husband’s affair to the village. Following that rather public humiliation, Bob attempted to make a go of it with Laurel. But they soon realised what we’d known all along – they were better off as mates.

Laurel is back on the market after her split from husband, Jai Sharma. But please, Emmerdale writers, no one needs a repeat performance of her and Bob.

Emmerdale affairs: Paddy Kirk and Viv Windsor/Tess Harris

Paddy Kirk shocked everyone – including himself – when he cheated on second wife Emily with postmistress Viv Windsor.

The mere thought of Paddy romping with Viv was enough to put anyone off their supper. His betrayal broke Emily’s heart and led her to leave the village.

Paddy clearly isn’t a man who learns from his mistakes. While married to third wife Rhona Goskirk he strayed with teaching assistant Tess Harris.

Their ill-fated fling resulted in tragedy when Tess was killed in a hit-and-run. And Paddy’s betrayal pushed Rhona into the arms of Tess’s monstrous widower, Pierce.

We think the lesson here is Paddy should have kept it in his pants!

    Better best forgotten (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)

    Moira Dingle and Nate Robinson

Hands up if you remember Moira’s ridiculous affair with Nate Robinson?

It was so confusing to us why Moira would have gone with Nate. Her chemistry and passion with husband Cain was off the charts and they’d recently reconciled after a brief split.

Nate’s relentless pursuit of Moira made for uncomfortable viewing, particularly when it transpired he had a hidden agenda. He was Cain’s long-lost son and wanted revenge on his father for his apparent abandonment. Moira was just a pawn in his seedy game.

But as it turned out Cain knew nothing about Nate’s existence. So the whole affair with Moira was a waste of time and energy.

Liam and Wendy kissing in Emmerdale
This affair shocked everyone! (Credit: ITV)

    Liam Cavanagh and Wendy Posner

The image of these two playing doctors and nurses is one we’d rather erase from our memory.

Local GP Liam Cavanagh and practice nurse Wendy Posner worked together at the local surgery and bonded over their shared love of literature. Things then took a passionate turn after Liam scooped an award for his erotic novel.

He and Wendy first got it on in his doctors’ office and then wherever and whenever they mood took. Fans were grossed out by the pair’s sexy chat and took to social media pleading for the cringefest to come to an end.

Their prayers were answered when Wendy and Liam’s affair finally fizzled. And mercifully neither party have attempted a repeat performance.

    Zak Dingle and Joanie Wright

Sorry but Zak Dingle cheating on his beloved wife Lisa was always going to be a big mistake.

His affair in 2015 with lodger Joanie Wright had everyone in absolute uproar. Not only did it feel completely out of character for the Dingle patriarch, but it also destroyed the soaps’ strongest marriage. Even actor Steve Halliwell (aka Zack) expressed his disappointment at the storyline.

Zak went on to divorce Lisa and marry Joanie, but he soon realised the error of his ways. Joanie was conveniently killed off and Zak managed to win back Lisa’s love. They remained together until her tragic passing in 2019.

But we’ve never quite forgiven Zak for the pain he put her through.

Emmerdale affairs: Tracy Robinson and Caleb Miligan

The recent fling between Tracy Robinson and Caleb Miligan made zero sense to us.

Tracy was happy and secure in her marriage to husband Nate, and they’d only just had got married anyway. There was no real reason for her to look elsewhere. Then all of a sudden she was in bed with his married uncle.

The whole affair between Tracy and Caleb felt forced, almost like they were straying for the sake of it. The chemistry just wasn’t there and it quickly became repetitive and tedious. In fact the most exciting part of it all was when Caleb’s missus Ruby outed their betrayal at Tom and Belle King’s wedding reception.

In conclusion, cheating didn’t do Tracy or Caleb any favours whatsoever.

  • Steph Stokes in Emmerdale: Alan Turner’s villainous daughter and her imprisonment for murder

Steph Stokes in Emmerdale: Alan Turner’s villainous daughter and her imprisonment for murder

Stephanie ‘Steph’ Stokes in Emmerdale was the scheming daughter of Alan Turner and mother of Tricia Dingle. She came to the village in 2002 and spent the next four years wreaking havoc. Still to this day Steph is regarded as one of the soap’s best ever villains.

The character was portrayed by actress and former model, Lorraine Chase.

A former jailbird, Steph was selfish to the core and didn’t care who she hurt along the way. Breaking the law was second nature to her, as was stealing other people’s fellas.

Steph’s reign of terror finally came to an end when she was jailed for the murder of her abusive brother, Terence. But in a shock twist, she didn’t actually commit the crime.

So why did Steph take the rap? And where is she now? Everything you need to know is here.

Steph Stokes and her arrival in Emmerdale

Ex-con Steph was introduced to Emmerdale viewers on September 3, 2002. She turned up at daughter Tricia’s engagement party and instantly turned heads with her glamorous appearance.

However, Tricia wasn’t happy to see her mum. The pair had fallen out years previously after Steph had seduced one of Tricia’s boyfriends. But it wasn’t long before history repeated itself when Steph kissed Tricia’s fiancé, Marlon Dingle the night before his wedding! This shameless behaviour was a sign of things to come.

Kind-hearted Tricia agreed to give her mum a chance to redeem herself and Steph decided to stay. She began working for Rodney Blackstock at the Antiques Barn and showed talent for spotting valuable items.

After attempting to flee to France with Rodney’s prized porcelain, Steph struck up a romantic relationship with her boss. They became engaged, but Steph eventually jilted Rodders after realising he wasn’t as well off as she thought.

Things between Steph and Alan were strained at best (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)

Steph’s complex relationship with dad Alan in Emmerdale

Steph had a complicated and often strained relationship with her father. She had never forgiven him for abandoning her when she was a young girl.

Alan disapproved of many of things Steph did, but tried his best to support her choices. When Steph’s best friend Shelley Williams arrived in the village, Alan paid for them to open a beauty salon.

But in January 2004, tragedy struck when Tricia was killed in a storm. Steph and Alan were initially united in their grief. But as Steph plunged into depression, Alan grew closer to Shelley.

The discovery that her father was sleeping with her best friend sickened Steph. Unable to control her jealousy, she started a vicious rumour that Shelley was a gold-digger. It did the trick and Shelley dumped Alan shortly afterwards.

Relations between father and daughter then went from bad to worse.

During a heated row, Alan declared he wished Steph had died, not Tricia. She responded by pushing him down the stairs, which caused him to lose his memory. Steph then started drugging Alan to keep him under her control. Shelley returned to Emmerdale in search of Alan, and Steph kidnapped her friend, locking her in the B&B cellar.

Events came to a dramatic head when Steph attempted to kill her and Alan by driving them over the edge of a quarry. She stopped herself at the last minute and was arrested. Steph was questioned by the police over the whereabouts of Shelley – who by this point had disappeared.

The horrified Emmerdale locals were convinced Steph had murdered Shelley and branded her ‘psycho Steph’.

The saga of Steph and Shelley

Whilst in prison, Steph was in the grips of a mental health crisis and started experiencing flashbacks of her killing Shelley.

Shelley soon turned up again – alive and well – but refused to forgive Steph’s past sins.

The ladies were reunited on board a ferry in March 2005, which turned out to be Shelley’s last journey. Steph pleaded with Shelley to return home to Alan and tried to grab her friend’s arm. But their heated confrontation resulted in tragedy when Shelley took a tumble overboard.

Steph feared she’d be suspected of murder and chucked Shelley’s suitcase into the water, before returning to the village as if nothing had happened.

Steph’s terror at the hands of brother Terence

Steph thought she’d finally found her happy ever after when she met handsome doctor Adam Forsythe. Romance blossomed, and Steph fell in love for the first time in her life. It also gave her the courage to share with Adam the dark secrets of her past.

Steph bravely revealed she’d been sexually abused as a child by her brother Terence Turner. She also came clean to Adam about Shelley’s watery end. But instead of running a mile, Adam pledged his support to Steph.

Shortly afterwards, Steph’s past came back to haunt her when Terence arrived in the village. A violent alcoholic, he started to make her life a misery all over again.

But events took a shocking turn when Adam arrived back at the B&B to find Terence terrorising Steph. A fight broke out, and Adam bludgeoned Terence to death with a fire extinguisher, before burying his body in the woods.

Adam then whisked traumatised Steph to Barbados, where they married. The newlyweds came back to the Dales and Adam began drugging his wife to ensure she didn’t out his killer secret.

Steph’s arrest and imprisonment for murder

After realising Adam’s true nature, Steph decided to take back control in her life. But then Terence’s body was found and she was arrested for murder.

Steph protested her innocence throughout her trial, but when Shelley’s suitcase was found floating in the sea she knew it was game over. Steph pleaded guilty to killing Terence to ease her conscience over what she did to Shelley and Alan.

It was a final, and shocking, act of selflessness, but Alan was proud of his daughter for being ‘honest’.

Steph was sentenced to life imprisonment and told she’d likely spend the rest of her days behind bars.

The character made a final memorable appearance in October 2013 when she returned for Alan’s funeral. Steph arrived dressed in her best and handcuffed to a prison officer. She then returned to jail – not before hurling a few insults at the locals.

And as far as anyone knows, Steph remains under lock and key. No doubt causing mayhem amongst her fellow inmates.

To Victoria’s knowledge she only has two living siblings. Adoptive brother, Andy – who’s still on the run from the police and current whereabouts unknown. And Robert, who’s serving time in prison for murdering her rapist, Lee Posner.

But might John also be the fruit of Jack’s loins? Let’s not forget old Jack was quite the womaniser in his heyday.

Cain is convinced his wife is behind the arrest and accuses Moira of grassing Samson up. After all, it would make complete sense given what he did to Matty. But Moira is adamant this isn’t some act of revenge and she didn’t call the cops. Is she actually being honest though?
