Pregnant Ella looks to the future in Emmerdale spoilers
Ella’s return to the village has been nothing short of dramatic. After being involved in a car crash, the disgraced receptionist stunned Liam by revealing she was carrying his kid.
Liam didn’t respond well to the news and humiliated Ella by forcing her to take a pregnancy test. Despite all of this, Ella wants to make a future for her unborn child.
After booking in for a scan, Ella asks Mandy Dingle if she’ll hold her hand through the appointment. She also explains she’s undergoing a paternity test to prove to Liam the baby is his.

Liam has a change of heart
The day before her ultrasound, things take a turn when Ella starts experiencing stomach cramps.
She’s clearly in a lot of pain and Vanessa Woodfield advises her to go and get examined at the doctors. Ella visits the surgery and is seen by Liam, who checks her over.
The GP is still struggling to get his head around the idea of becoming a dad again. But after talking things through with Paddy Kirk, Liam gets a fresh perspective on the situation.
Seeking out Ella, Liam asks if he can join her at the scan, but she refuses to have him there. And who can blame her after his unkind behaviour!

Ella and Liam are rocked by baby bombshell in Emmerdale spoilers
A mix up with the transport results in Liam going with Ella to the hospital after all.
The former lovers are anxious as the sonographer takes a reading and flags up a problem. But then comes the big sucker punch – no foetus can be found.
Before anyone has the chance to explain, Liam jumps to the conclusion Ella must have invented the pregnancy.
After all, she has a track record of not telling the truth. And if she could conceal the fact she was a killer, Liam reckons it would be easy to fake a baby.
Seeing red, he accuses Ella of lying all along, pointing out that’s why she never wanted him at the scan.

Ella is public enemy number one
Back in the village, Liam is in bits as Paddy consoles him. Much like his mate, Paddy assumes the worst and is sickened how Ella could stoop so low.
With both men convinced Ella invented there being a baby to trap Liam, Paddy declares she’s truly unhinged.
But are they just assuming Ella’s a pathological liar without considering the other possibilities?
Did Ella actually invent her pregnancy? Or could there be another explanation? And will Liam be willing to listen?

The Grange B&B in Emmerdale offers tourists, and on a pretty regular basis, locals, a place to stay. It’s been a fundamental part of village life since 2002.
Business has been up and down over the years, but whatever crisis its faced, the B&B always seems to bounce back.
The Grange is currently jointly owned by village residents Bob Hope and Nicola King, but has changed hands many times over the years.
It’s also been the scene of a grisly murder – or two – but just don’t tell the guests!

History of the B&B in Emmerdale
The building of The Grange dates way back to around 1700. It was once the residence of a lady called Mrs Butterworth.
It’s next door to the former corn chandlers dwellings, which in 1976 were transformed into The Woolpack after the original pub was found to have subsidence.
The first time the building was featured on air was in 1990 when a tanker crashed into its front wall.

Murder most horrid
In 2002, village resident Alan Turner took over the running of The Grange. Alan already had considerable experience in managing a business, having previously been the landlord of The Woolpack.
Four years later, Alan’s son Terence Turner came to stay at the B&B. It was revealed he had abused his sister, and Alan’s daughter, Stephanie Forsythe, when they were teenagers.
A fight broke out upstairs in The Grange between Terence and Steph’s husband Dr Adam Forsythe, who ended up bludgeoning his brother-in-law to death with a fire extinguisher.

But he wasn’t the only unlucky person to meet a grisly end in the B&B.
In May 2018, serial killer Lachlan White claimed another victim. He lured Gerry Roberts to the B&B – that was undergoing renovations at the time – and proceeded to bash his brains out.

Louise and Terry take over
In 2004 Louise Appleton and Terry Woods were in a relationship and it was getting serious. They decided to buy the B&B together and Matthew King stepped in to help with the financial side of things.
Unfortunately, Matthew’s intentions weren’t honorable and soon he and Louise began an affair. When the truth came out, the B&B deal came through.
However, Terry once again tried to buy the place, with new girlfriend Jean Hope. Jean couldn’t come up with the cash, though, so Louise stepped in again. She sold her share of the Woolpack to Val Lambert to spite Diane who she blamed for the breakdown of her latest relationship.

The Eric Pollard years at the B&B in Emmerdale
In 2008, Eric married the irrepressible Val Lambert and Louise, who had moved back to Australia, sold her share of the B&B to them. Terry then sold his share to them a year later. Together Eric and Val really put their stamp on the place.
Two years on, teenage tearaway Amy Wyatt rocked up at the B&B under the pretence of being a nurse looking for a cut-price room.
The Pollards soon discovered Amy was on the run from her foster family. But they took pity and invited her to stay, before going on to formally adopt her.
The fortunes of the B&B fluctuated over the years, and Pollard struggled to stay afloat after Val’s tragic death in 2015.
Chas and Charity went to war over the B&B and the Woolpack (Credit: ITV)
Unwelcome guests
In 2022, Pollard hired Chas Dingle to be the new manager of the B&B.
Chas had just been forced to sell her share of The Woolpack and was out for revenge on her cousin Charity, who had taken the role of landlady of her beloved boozer.
Eric helped Chas sabotage Charity’s grand re-opening, but as payback Mackenzie Boyd infested the B&B with rats!
Unsurprisingly, Chas’s stint at the B&B ended shortly afterwards and she returned to where she belongs – behind the bar of the Woolie.
Bernice and Bob’s partnership didn’t last long! (Credit: ITV)
The end of an era
In 2023 Eric made the tough decision to sell up to help out son, David Metcalfe, who’d fallen into financial troubles with David’s shop.
Bob Hope and Bernice Blackstock became the new owners of The Grange and set about giving the place a very glamorous glow-up.
Having completed their rather bougie makeover, Bernice and Bob invited the residents to attend their grand reopening party and hired a harp player called Tim to provide the entertainment.
Bernice also ended up playing sweet music with the harpist. But tragedy struck when Bob thought he had found Tim dead in one of the B&B’s bedrooms.
This time there had been no foul play, it looked like poor Tim’s heart had just given out. However all was okay when Tim actually woke up, having taken a sleeping pill to block out Bernice’s snoring!
Bernice and Bob’s partnership didn’t last long after that.
In November 2023 Bernice was found to have been defrauding her sister Nicola King and did a flit from the village.
The Grange is now co-owned between Nicola and Bob.

Home Farm in Emmerdale is the sprawling country estate and the jewel in the village crown. The grand 17th century property has 11 bedrooms and acres of land.
It is located about half a mile from the village and is part of the Home Farm Estate.
The current owner and lady of the manor is Kim Tate, who has lived there on and off since 1989.
Kim lives in Home Farm with her husband Will Taylor, his daughter Dawn Fletcher, her husband Billy and their baby son Evan.
Home Farm is situated on the edge of the village and was originally named Millfield Hall. It belonged to the Verney family and had been in their possession for generations.
In 1973, George and Laura Verney were lord and lady of the manor. Following George’s death five years later, his nephew Gerald Verney took over, but was then forced to sell up to pay off his mounting debts.
Millfield Hall was sold to North Yorkshire Estates (NY Estates) and given the new name, Home Farm.
Over the next decade, various families resided in the property and managed the Home Farm business estate. These included Trevor Thatcher, Maurice Westrop and Richard Antsy.
In 1988, Joe Sudgen and Alan Tate were swindled out of purchasing Home Farm by ruthless Denis Rigg, who lived there for a year he was crushed to death by a bull.
The country pile went up for sale again and was snapped by haulage baron Frank Tate, ushering in a new era for Home Farm.

The Tates at Home Farm in Emmerdale: 1989-2005
Frank Tate arrived in the village in 1989, alongside his second wife Kim, and his grown-up children Chris and Zoe.
Rich and powerful, Frank not only purchased Home Farm, but all the land that went with it. He had big plans for the village, but was met with opposition from the locals, in particular Jack Sugden.
When a plane crashed into the village in 1993, Frank became a local hero after he helped save lives.
Drama
Kim Tate had successfully managed to find her way into Frank’s bed, having started out as his secretary. However, she soon tired of married life and had two affairs. The first was with gamekeeper Neil Kincaid and then Home Farm employee Dave Glover.
Divorce
Frank and Kim divorced after he uncovered her betrayal with Neil, but they remarried on Christmas Day 1994.

Deaths
Kim’s toy boy lover Dave perished in a fire at Home Farm on Boxing Day 1996 after rescuing her baby son, James from the flames.
Frank survived his first heart attack in 1994, but his next one in 1997 proved to be fatal. Every moment of his slow and painful death in the living room of Home Farm was witnessed by Kim – who then fled the village in a helicopter to escape prison.
In 2003, Home Farm heir Chris committed suicide after learning he had an inoperable brain tumour. He tried to frame former wife Charity Dingle for murder.
Destruction
By 2005, Zoe was done with Home Farm and arranged to emigrate with her daughter Jean and Chris’s son Joseph. She was blackmailed into selling to the King family for a reduced price. But in a parting act of defiance, vengeful Zoe triggered a gas leak which resulted in Home Farm going up in flames!

The Kings: 2005-2008
In 2005, widower Tom King moved in with his sons Jimmy, Matthew, Carl and Max – as well as their numerous wives.
Like the Tates, the Kings were also in the haulage business, and ran their enterprise King & Sons from the estate.
The Kings may have been rich and powerful, but life at Home Farm brought them nothing but misery and misfortune.
In fact it’s only Jimmy who lived to tell the tale.

Death
Are you ready? Max, the youngest King son, was killed in a car crash in 2005. Tom met his maker on Christmas Day 2006 when he was pushed out of a window at Home Farm, sparking the show’s biggest ever whodunit. It turned out son Carl King was responsible.
Matthew was next to fall off the mortal coil when he died trying to mow down Carl. And as for Carl, he got his brains bashed out by serial killer Cameron Murray.
Left in dire financial straits after Tom’s death, in 2008 the King brothers were forced to hand the Home Farm baton over to the Wylde family – who more than lived up to their name.

The Wyldes: 2009-2010
Mark and Natasha Wylde snapped up Home Farm and moved in with their three kids, Nathan, Maisie and Will.
The power couple had it all going for them – good looking, rich and successful. But Mark’s murky past quickly caught up with them.
Drama
It transpired that Mark was actually called Daniel Lamb and had changed his identity after falling into debt. Mark was also a bigamist, and had walked out on wife Faye Lamb when she was pregnant with their son, Ryan. Faye and Ryan soon showed up at Home Farm and 30 years of deceit were laid bare.
Death
Scorned Natasha ended up shooting Mark dead in the estate’s woods after discovering the truth about his double life. She was sent to prison for his murder, meaning Home Farm was up for grabs again. And Declan Macey’s wife, Ella Hart pounced.

The Maceys at Home Farm in Emmerdale: 2010-2014
Natasha’s former lover Declan Macey was the next businessman to claim the throne of Home Farm. Joining him in residence were his ex-wife Ella and their daughter, Mia.
Declan’s sister Megan also lived there for a while with her son Robbie, as did their father Dermot.
Drama
Declan was arrested for murder after human remains were discovered on Home Farm land. The bones belonged to Alex Moss, who was one of serial killer Cameron Murray’s victims.
Declan had a short-lived marriage to Katie Sugden and then went on to marry Charity Dingle.
After going off the rails, Declan attempted to end his own life by setting fire to Home Farm. He then hatched a dastardly plan with Charity to frame Sam Dingle and his girlfriend Rachel Breckle for the crime.
Declan then totally lost the plot, and tried to kill Charity. But his nephew, Robbie got caught in the crossfire and killed by a flare gun.
Declan went on the run and Home Farm was repossessed.

Robert embarked on a high-risk affair with mechanic Aaron Dingle, who exposed their cheating to Chrissie during a dramatic Home Farm showdown.
The house was also the scene of bloodshed in July 2016, when Lachlan held Lawrence hostage with a shotgun after a family feud. Lachlan accidentally pulled the trigger on his grandfather and Chrissie helped him frame Andy Sugden for attempted murder.
Death
In 2018, Lawrence sold Home Farm to Joseph Tate, the grandson of Frank and son of Chris. The Whites then decided to move to New Zealand, but didn’t make it that far as Lawrence and Chrissie were killed in a car crash caused by Lachlan.

And it wasn’t long before Joe’s former step-grandmother, Kim Tate, made a dramatic return to reclaim her rightful place as lady of the manor.
Kim remains in charge, alongside her husband Will Taylor.

Drama
Kim wanted Joe out of the picture and instructed her right hand man Graham Foster to get rid of him. Graham couldn’t go through with it and Joe ended up being attacked and left for dead by Cain Dingle. It was later revealed he was still alive and living off Kim’s money in Monte Carlo.
Kim wasted no time in making an enemy of nearly every local. She ended up getting pushed off the upstairs balcony at Home Farm by Faith Dingle. She survived the fall, of course.

Deceit
Kim moved back into Home Farm permanently in 2019, and that same year her adult son Jamie came to the village.
Ruthless Jamie set his sights on his mum’s empire and began drugging her brandy over a period of months. Kim wised up to her son’s wicked plot and got one over on Jamie by faking her own death!
Kim came under threat again in 2023, when Frank Tate’s secret son Caleb Miligan plotted to destroy her and take control of Home Farm, which he viewed as his birth right.
Caleb conspired with son Nicky to take everything Kim had in revenge for her part in his father’s death – but she got the upper hand.

Death
The body of rapist Craig Reed was found in the fields of Home Farm in October 2023. Every member of the Dingle family was in the frame for the crime, but the real killer was Kim’s horse Ice, who had trampled Craig to death.

David’s shop is the place to go in Emmerdale if you need a pint of milk or loaf of bread. Think of it like a convenience store, but packed full of artisan goodies and with its own personalised jute bags.
A valued local business, it’s situated on Church Lane and attached to Farrers Farm.
It was given the eponymous title from former owner, David Metcalfe, who was in charge from 2015 until his departure from the Dales in 2023.
Many of the village residents have worked behind the till of the shop, and it’s seen its fair amount of action over the years.

The history of David’s shop in Emmerdale
Back before it was a shop, the building was actually a barn. From here, Rodney Blackstock used to run his antiques business.
But that all changed when the wealthy Wylde family arrived in the village and set up residence in Home Farm.

Wyldes Home Farm Fayre
Keen to make her mark, Natasha Wylde decided to open a shop in the centre of the community, providing customers with wholesome, local produce.
The clan purchased the barn, converting it into a shop and living area and giving it the name Wyldes Home Farm Fayre (don’t even get us started on the missing apostrophe!)
Doug Potts and Leyla Harding were employed as co-managers, while Rodney was given the job of delivery driver.
The shop had only been open a matter of days when Rodney left the handbrake off his van. The vehicle crashed into the shop, trapping Doug, Leyla and Ryan Lamb inside.
But as money was no problem for the Wyldes, they just fixed the damage and reponed within days.

Leyla’s
In 2011, co-manager Leyla became the new owner of the farm shop and renamed it Leyla’s.
She bought the business with her boyfriend David Metcalfe, but their partnership – professional and romantic – wasn’t to go the distance.
The couple split the same year and Leyla sold her share to David.

David’s shop in Emmerdale
After Leyla dumped him and the Dales, David took full control of the store. Following in his predecessor’s unimaginative footsteps, David named the shop after himself!
And there he remained until June 2015 when David decided to emigrate to Portugal with then-wife Alicia Gallagher.
He sold the business to Bob Hope’s daughter, Carly, a move which turned out to be very unwise…

Carly Hope takes over
Carly’s reign over the shop was nothing short of shambolic.
She renamed the business Hope for the Best, which should have been an indication to expect the worst. Carly had absolutely zero interest in running the business and even turned up to its unveiling drunk.
And when a burst pipe wrecked all the shop’s merchandise, Carly confessed she hadn’t taken out any insurance. To cover the costs, she and local bad boy Ross Barton robbed a truck to get cash for the repairs.
Carly was eventually forced to confess everything and Brenda Walker reported her to the police.
Wanted for fraud, Carly went on the run, leaving the shop empty.
David’s return to his shop in Emmerdale
David returned and reclaimed his shop at a reduced price when it went under the hammer.
He gave the place a makeover, with a fancy deli bar, and even gave Carly a job so she could repay him.
2021 saw the arrival of the shop’s new delivery bike, which was brought in as part of a drive to be more eco-friendly.
David also brought in his stepson Jacob Gallagher and Kerry Wyatt to run things during his breaks away from the village.

Pollard takes over
In 2022, David ran into severe financial difficulty at the shop. His then-girlfriend Victoria Sugden sold off the land she had inherited from her grandmother, Annie, to bail him out.
However David just kept spending and got into even more trouble when he decided to start doing deliveries and then got a speeding ticket that would have lost him his licence.
In a bid to cover his tracks he put the ticket in Victoria’s name. When she found out she was fuming. They broke up, and David was forced to take his punishment.
Still in debt, David was eventually bailed out by his dad. Eric Pollard, who had sold the B&B to retire with Brenda and travel the world, bought David out.
Then David left town for good and Eric is saddled with running a shop he never really wanted. Tracy currently manages the place, with Jacob helping out too.
Shop wars
Leyla Harding was caught with her fingers in the till when she stole £250 to buy a pair of fancy shoes she’d had her eye on.
Nathan Wylde blackmailed her over the theft, but got his comeuppance when David discovered what he was up to.
And in 2015, David’s grand re-opening had to be pushed back when his dad Eric Pollard trashed the shop in a grief-induced rage, the damage of which took weeks to put right.
Pollard also found himself caught up in an armed robbery when two youths tried to raid David’s and ended up with a broken arm.
Births, marriages and deaths
Unsurprisingly no marriages have taken place the shop, but there have been a couple of baby dramas and near fatalities.
Nicola King went into labour with daughter Angelica while locked inside the shop, but thankfully made it to hospital in time to give birth.
And history repeated itself in 2014 when David’s ex-girlfriend Priya Sharma’s waters broke in front of his wife, Alicia.

In August 1993, Viv and Vic Windsor and their family – moved to the village and purchased the post office.
From then it became a central location and survived several local disasters, including the famous plane crash of December 1993.

In 1994, a gas explosion ripped through the post office. Viv was held at gunpoint by masked robbers in 1994. Then, on Christmas Day 1998, Vic was killed in a bungled burglary. The armed robber was Andy Sugden’s dad Billy Hopwood.
Viv remarried Bob Hope and continued to run the post office and cafe.
Then tragedy struck again in January 2011 when a fire claimed the life of postmistress Viv and her friend Terry Woods.
In 2015, Bob found himself on the wrong side of the law when he pinched money from the cafe till to cover a pay-day loan.
Bob roped Val Pollard in to pose as business partner Brenda Walker to secure the loan. However, he ended up getting arrested for fraud. Bob was bailed, but did eventually go to prison after getting into a fight.
Following his release, Bob came up with the idea of holding a regular mothers and children group in the cafe to bring in more revenue. However, this ended up being rather short-lived.

It wasn’t long before Bob returned behind the counter, but the cafe soon faced total financial ruin after Brenda accidentally served a sandwich containing almonds to Dan Spencer, unaware he was severely allergic to them.
The incident left Dan wheelchair-bound and Brenda was threatened with expensive legal action.
That’s when Nicola King stepped in and decided to capitalise on Brenda’s misfortune.
Nicola offered Bob and Brenda £20,00 in exchange for a 20 percent share of the business, which they were forced to accept.

Bob now owns the B&B – alongside Nicola and Jimmy – and Brenda, Nicola and Jimmy, plus Rodney are usually seen behind the counter of the cafe.
Both Nicola and Brenda are renowned village gossips, so anyone having a private conversation in there should be warned: it won’t stay private for long!
