4 spoilers for tonight: Eric faces the music, and Ross gets a harsh warning

In Emmerdale spoilers for tonight, Pollard faces an angry Brenda, and Tom manipulates Angelica.

Fans have seen Eric’s health deteriorate lately. Just last week he opened up to Leyla on how he has put his entire savings into cryptocurrency. And things are only set to look worse.

Also as Tom is finally behind bars for his abusive behaviour, he still finds a way to control someone. This time, he turns his attention to someone close to home.

All of this and more in Emmerdale spoilers for tonight’s episode.

    1. Eric faces the music

After realising there is no money in his account, Eric is terrified that he has made a huge mistake.

And now Brenda knows everything, Pollard has to prepare himself to face her anger.

But he isn’t giving up, as he is determined to make things right. However, those attempts don’t go down well.

Soon enough, Brenda is questioning if Eric even wanted to marry her, or if his decision was influenced by his medication.

As Brenda is devastated, Eric has to live with the heartbreak and turmoil he has caused. Can he make things right with Brenda? Or is this the beginning of the end for the couple, especially as we know Brenda is leaving the village.

    2. Tom is still pulling strings

Just when everyone thinks Tom is finally out of the picture, he proves how manipulative he can really be.

The only other member of his family that he hasn’t had a chance to try and win over is Angelica.

With his niece having spent time away for causing the death of Heath, Angelica has been feeling that she is evil lately. And although Jimmy and Nicola have been trying to make her see this isn’t the case, it appears Tom is the one to get through to her.

Tonight, she finds herself being reeled in by his flattery, and soon enough she’s on Team Tom and believes his anti-Belle stance.

    3. Mack taunts Ross

When Ross Barton returned recently, he made it clear to Mackenzie who Moses’ father was.

But as time has gone on, Ross keeps messing up. And Mack is the one who gets to pick up the pieces.

Nobody knows that Mack is the one who stole Jade’s money, and he is chuffed with himself knowing he can provide for his family more than Ross can.

This is something he wastes no time in taunting Ross with – leaving the Emmerdale bad boy furious.

    4. Ross gets a warning

We’re sure that whenever Ross finds out Mack stole the money he will be out for revenge. But until then, Ross has to deal with the fact Jade blames him. And tonight she makes it extremely clear to him there are consequences to the money going missing.

She gives him a harsh warning, telling him what will happen if he doesn’t find a way to give her the ten thousand pounds.

And it seems that no matter how many times Ross assures her it wasn’t him who stole it – she does not believe him.

Will Ross manage to find the money? Or will those closest to him face the consequences?

  • Emmerdale fan ‘works out’ Steph Miligan’s real father – and it’s not Anthony or Caleb

Emmerdale fan ‘works out’ Steph Miligan’s real father – and it’s not Anthony or Caleb

Lately Ruby Fox-Miligan has been acting strangely in Emmerdale as her daughter Steph and father Anthony come back into her life. Speculation has been rife that Ruby was abused by her dad. But a new Emmerdale theory gives a different contender for Steph’s biological father – and it’s not Caleb or Anthony.

Steph brought Anthony to the village in an attempt at getting him and Ruby to reconcile, but it was very clear from Ruby’s reaction that was going to be harder than anticipated.

Her reaction to him showing up in the village led to other reckless behaviour – sleeping with Cain Dingle.

Ruby struggles to forgive Anthony – is there more to it? (Credit: ITV)

    Emmerdale Ruby’s relationship with Anthony

Ruby explained her reasoning for hating her father. When she was pregnant he tried to force her to get a termination, and then kicked her out of the house.

That alone gives Ruby a good enough reason for wanting him to stay away, but it’s clear Steph isn’t ready to give up.

And with Anthony informing them about his cancer diagnosis, Steph is desperate for her mum to at least consider giving him another chance.

The news also shocks Ruby, as she struggles to know how to process everything. But fans recently guessed there was a more sinister twist waiting to come out about Ruby and her father.

They theorised that Ruby had been abused by Anthony, and that he is Steph’s real dad. However, as new spoilers have been released, many fans are now speculating someone else is Steph’s father – and it’s not Caleb or Anthony.

In an upcoming episode, flashback scenes will explore Emmerdale Ruby’s backstory, and fans will come to get a surprising insight to her life.

The flashbacks feature a 16-year-old Ruby, around a year before Steph was born, getting along with a fellow teenager, Rob. Through the flashbacks fans will learn why she insists she can’t remember that day.

Ruby pretends she doesn’t remember her 16th birthday – but flasbacks reveal the truth (Credit: ITV)

Emmerdale theory suggests Rob is the real dad of Steph as Ruby’s past explored

Now, fans are convinced this new character Rob is actually Steph’s dad. And perhaps there is more to come from the story.

On a Reddit thread, fans theorised: “I originally believed that Anthony had physically abused Ruby when pregnant. If the assault theories are true, I don’t understand why he would risk losing Steph by reuniting with Ruby. And I don’t believe she would keep quiet, knowing he could do the same to her.”

Instead, the fan provided a different and new Emmerdale theory.

“I think now we’re supposed to believe that Rob is the biological father of Steph, but the writers may be having us on because that would be obvious.

“Hopefully they’re not just trying to take the focus off Anthony. And I hope Caleb really is the father. But maybe the Foxes saw Rob as ‘better’ than Caleb. Maybe he was rich and they set him up with Ruby. He may have abused her without her parents knowing.”

The theory helps understand why in Emmerdale Ruby tries to get the attention off her 16th birthday, and also why she hates her father so much.

Whatever the reason is, it’s clear there is much more going on than we currently know.

  • Steph pregnancy to expose Cain and Ruby affair? Hot Emmerdale fan theory

Steph pregnancy to expose Cain and Ruby affair? Hot Emmerdale fan theory

In typical soap fashion, a new Emmerdale theory suggests a shock pregnancy for Steph may be the catalyst for Cain and Ruby’s secret to be exposed.

Everyone knows secret one-night stands never stay quiet in Emmerdale. Especially when the person strays with someone close to home.

Viewers were left unhappy a few weeks ago when Cain slept with Ruby, his brother’s wife, while Moira was in brain surgery.

In a twist that has been deemed “completely unnecessary”, Cain and Ruby agreed it stays between them.

Cain and Ruby’s secret is a ticking bomb

But coming up, Cain’s guilt begins to eat away at him, and we know he gets arrested for his behaviour. But fans aren’t convinced he will confess to his wife.

Instead they think it will be Steph, Ruby and Caleb’s daughter, who forces the secret out.

Around the same time as Cain and Ruby, Steph herself had a bunk-up with Emmerdale bad boy Ross Barton. So when Caleb spotted the morning after pill packaging in the rubbish, he just assumed it was hers.

However, we know it was actually Ruby’s. And, as Emmerdale made a point of showing Caleb find the packaging, everyone believes that will have to play into the reveal.

Could Steph be pregnant with Ross' baby?
    Is Steph pregnant? (Credit: ITV)

Emmerdale theory suggests pregnancy for Steph

One new theory suggests Steph may actually be pregnant with Ross’ baby, and so obviously Caleb will then question what he found – leading to a huge bombshell hitting him and Moira.

The Emmerdale theory was first posted on a Reddit thread, and fans were quick to agree that it made sense.

One commented: “She will at least have a pregnancy scare and this is how Caleb will realise the morning-after pill packaging he found in the trash was not Steph’s.”

Another added: “I can totally see this happening!”

“They also made a point of showing the ‘this never happened’ text that Ruby sent to Cain. Either Caleb or Moira will see it,” a third penned.

Although, while many agreed, another fan suggested an alternative that would also bring another side to Anthony into the mix.

They wrote: “I thought Ruby’s dad would somehow figure out about Ruby and Cain. He could blackmail her about keeping quiet so he could stay in the village.”

While Mike Parr recently admitted he would love Ross to remain single, if Steph was pregnant, would Ross appreciate the chance to do fatherhood right? We know he is set to step away from trying with Moses..

Either way, it’s only a matter of time before Moira and Caleb find out. And we’re sure there will be fireworks whenever they do.

  • Emmerdale glimpse at Christmas in village leaves fans terrified

Emmerdale glimpse at Christmas in village leaves fans terrified

It’s that time of the year again. Soaps begin to tease their big winter storylines. But Emmerdale has given fans a glimpse at Christmas, and viewers are terrified.

As the first previews of Christmas in the Dales have been released, Emmerdale also shared their own look at the festivities. But the eeriness left fans concerned.

In a 40 second video posted on X (formerly known as Twitter), all the Emmerdale Christmas lights were on display. The caption simply read: “We love our Village at Christmas!”

While it may have been an innocent post to get everyone in the Christmas spirits, many thought it was hinting at something ominous.

The video showed an empty village, not one person in sight. And as the camera moved throughout, we got to see each building’s Christmas lights up close.

But why did the village need to be empty? Why was there an eerie feeling? Well fans think they were hinting that all may seem peaceful, but that’s not the actual case.

Fans react to Emmerdale Christmas video

Taking to X, fans expressed how they were awaiting something sinister at the end.

One wrote: “Genuinely thought this was going to turn into some kind of horror trailer.”

Another predicted: “Sprinkled with murder, affairs, heartbreak and Christmas cheer.”

“Looks great. But what is the surprise under the tree this year?” a third fan asked.

A viewer wrote: “It looks amazing. But bring on more drama for Christmas!”

    Christmas in Emmerdale

Let’s face it, Emmerdale loves to throw in some Christmas tragedies. The festive period seems to be the perfect time for secrets to come out or killers to strike. So it’s safe to assume this year will be no different.

A sneak peek to December in Emmerdale was released as show boss Iain MacLeod told Digital Spy that 2024 will be one of the most “exciting” Christmases in Emmerdale history.

He teased a “huge surprise arrival on Christmas Day”, as well as “some life or death jeopardy.”

There will also be “heartbreaking family drama with plenty of Dingle action”, along with some “classic gothic antics at Home Farm.”

Currently there are so many storylines bubbling away waiting to be popped open. Will Belle finally get the justice she deserves? Does the truth about Cain and Ruby come out? And just who is returning on Christmas Day – Joe? Pete? Robert? So many questions that need answering.

So with that knowledge, it seems the Emmerdale teaser was trying to lure viewers into a false sense of security. But it looks like Christmas in the Dales is not to be missed!

  • 3 theories on how Ella will leave Emmerdale as Paula Lane is reportedly exiting the soap

3 theories on how Ella will leave Emmerdale as Paula Lane is reportedly exiting the soap

Another character exit is rumoured to be just around the corner as Paula Lane is reportedly stepping down as Ella in Emmerdale in 2025. But exactly how Ella Forster will leave is unknown.

While Emmerdale has insisted they don’t comment on cast contracts, Paula Lane updated her Talent Spotlight page confirming she will finish filming in February.

Exact details haven’t been released, but with Ella having just found out about Chas and Liam, mixed in with her violent backstory, we could potentially see an explosive exit.

Let’s take a look at some of the best theories on how Ella will leave Emmerdale.

    Ella catches Liam and Chas
Emmerdale’s Ella looks set for revenge as she catches Liam and Chas (Credit: ITV)

    1. Ella gets violent – and murders Liam in Emmerdale?

Just last week Ella discovered the truth about Liam and Chas, and she was not happy. And viewers are well aware of her killer past, so could Ella take Liam down in a final act before leaving the village?

Many fans have predicted her violent side will be shown on screen sometime soon. Some even believing she will set fire to the Woolpack with both Liam and Chas in it.

If this is the case, it could lead to Ella going to prison. However, as we have an idea of timelines, she would need to act quick.

But perhaps if she were to try to kill Liam, she may not stick around to see if she succeeded, and instead go on the run immediately.

Fans believe Ella’s revenge is the most likely storyline for her exit.

One wrote on X: “Ella is definitely going to try to get rid of Chas and/or Liam.”

Could Ella end up in prison?

    2. Ella can’t handle Liam and Chas together

Another possibility is Ella simply can’t handle seeing Liam and Chas together. Despite the couple’s initial decision to keep their romance quiet, Ella found out.

So now the cat’s out of the bag, Liam and Chas have no reason to stay hidden. Still working with her ex, this may prove tricky for Ella to move on from.

And maybe she senses that her violent past could come back and to save herself she packs her bags and leaves the village.

That seems too tame for an exit of someone with so much potential to turn into a huge villain.

    Ella exit theories
Ella to die while trying to get revenge? (Credit: ITV)

    3. Emmerdale’s Ella to die?

Could we see Ella’s attempt at revenge fail, and she herself ends up in the crossfire?

We know Ella’s stalking of Liam has intensified over the last few weeks, leading to her finding out about him and Chas. But if she sets out for revenge without thinking things through, it could backfire on her.

Not only would this work as an exit story, but the consequences left in the village would be interesting to watch.

Liam could potentially blame himself for not being more supportive. Chas could also feel the guilt about her and Liam having feelings for each other behind Ella’s back.

Then as a result it could work as an interesting new dynamic in Chas and Liam’s budding relationship.

Whatever way she leaves the village, fans all agree that it’s a shame that actress Paula Lane wasn’t given more to work with.

  • Fans hit out over Paula Lane Emmerdale exit rumours: ‘What a waste of a talented actress’

Fans hit out over Paula Lane Emmerdale exit rumours: ‘What a waste of a talented actress’

It looks like another character is set to leave, as Paula Lane is reportedly leaving the show. And her Emmerdale exit scenes are to be filmed soon.

Paula has played the role of Ella Forster in Emmerdale since the beginning of the year, but it looks like an exit is already set.

The news was revealed on Paula’s own talent Spotlight page, which is linked in her Instagram bio.

It states while she is currently playing Ella in Emmerdale, she is set to finish filming in February 2025.

This suggests the character’s Emmerdale exit will appear on the screen in Spring time.

Paula Lane and her time in Emmerdale as Ella

Ella has been part of some huge storylines this year, and fans have been convinced there was far more to come for her character.

First introduced as a receptionist, Ella quickly became friends with Mandy Dingle, and found a romantic spark with Liam Cavanagh.

Viewers were then treated to an in depth shocking backstory for Ella as it was revealed she had killed a friend of hers during her childhood, and had since struggled to not be judged.

Ella was then pregnant with Liam’s baby and she hoped to rekindle their romance. But she tragically lost the baby, and Liam’s focus was on his feelings for Chas Dingle.

Just last week Ella found out the pair are now giving their relationship a go, and fans have predicted she will let her ‘psycho’ side out.

With a history of violence - could Ella be how Leyla dies?

Fans react to Ella’s Emmerdale exit

Fans aren’t reacting well to the news of her upcoming exit, as they all believe she has more to show.

One wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter): “It’s such a shame that Emmerdale has axed Ella. Paula Lane is one of the best actresses in the show and could have had huge potential.”

Another supported the exit: “Can’t blame Paula Lane for leaving. All she was given is misery to keep her character miserable.”

Other fans took to a reddit thread to share their disappointment.

One wrote: “I think she was a great potential character. Her friendship with Mandy was really sweet when she was struggling. I think here was real potential to make her bonds really strong, but they just made her mopey.”

A second expressed their annoyance: “What a complete and total waste. This exit might go down as their worst squandering.”

“So much potential with a talented actress just wasted”, another penned.

Luckily for fans, we still have a few months left with Ella on our screens. And hopefully her exit storyline will be exciting.

  • Ella to set fire to the Woolpack and leave Liam and Chas to burn? Our favourite theory

Ella to set fire to the Woolpack and leave Liam and Chas to burn? Our favourite theory

For a while, viewers have been thinking that in Emmerdale Ella has the potential to make some of the villagers suffer. Mixed with her history, and that she just found out about Chas and Liam, will she make them pay?

When Liam broke up with Ella recently, she specifically asked if she was seeing anyone else – and he said no. But in reality he and Chas were wanting to give things another go together.

Not only did their break up result in Ella moving out of her home, but she also temporarily didn’t have a job. So she really hasn’t had the easiest of times lately.

And so, because of all of this Chas and Liam agreed to keep their romance quiet for a while.

With a history of violence - could Ella be how Leyla dies?

    Emmerdale Ella pushed too far?

But at the end of the day, nothing stays a secret for long in Emmerdale. Thursday’s episode saw Ella’s fears confirmed, as she put the pieces together.

However, in Emmerdale Ella is not someone you would want to mess with. For months fans have been wondering what will tip her over the edge and bring her dark side out. And many think it’s this.

Viewers believe that while Ella may not seem psycho to others in the village, the other side of her is waiting to come out.

Over the last few weeks she has turned into somewhat of a stalker regarding Liam. From constantly wanting to know where he is to needing to know who he is with, it looks like her true colours are starting to show.

While many have predicted she will go for revenge when she learns the truth – a new theory has even suggested how she may do it.

One fan posted on X (formerly Twitter): “Is Ella going to set fire to the Woolpack with Chas and Liam inside?…Psycho [expletive].”

The Woolpack would indeed be a good choice for location for Ella’s revenge, as it tends to be the place for dramatic storylines to reach their peak.

The theory was backed up by another user, who wrote: “Has it been on fire recently? I remember it blew up when Meena was in the show.”

Could Ella kill Chas and Liam in huge Woolpack fire?

This is true, as back in 2021, Al Chapman decided wrecking the pub was his only way to get out of debt, and so he put a whisk into the microwave.

For a while after this the pub was closed, while refurbishments and the legal side of things were ongoing. So it has actually been a while since a big event happened there.

As Chas still currently resides there, could Ella aim to take away her home, job and her life?

It’s safe to say out of all the theories, this one is our favourite. Not only would it add some more drama to the village, but it also brings Emmerdale back to it’s centre; the pub.

We wouldn’t be opposed to seeing how that would all play out!
