What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Tom claimed he was attacked and Ross tried to kiss Charity

In Emmerdale tonight, Tom continued to pull the wool over his uncle Jimmy‘s eyes. This time, he received sympathy from Jimmy after claiming to be attacked.

Elsewhere, Ella drunk away the afternoon and confided in Chas about her heartbreak. Unbeknown to her, Chas is the cause of that heartbreak.

Here’s everything that happened in Emmerdale tonight (Monday, November 4).

Emmerdale tonight: Tom claimed he’d been attacked

After Nicola spent the night at Laurel’s and refused to take Jimmy’s calls in Emmerdale tonight, Jimmy got snappy with Tom.

Tom told Jimmy he was constantly getting hateful messages online. Jimmy responded that he didn’t have time to mollycoddle Tom and instructed him to leave the house for a while. Later, Laurel came across Tom crouching on the floor by the church with blood over him.

Jimmy, as dopey as ever, apologised to Tom for making him leave the house. Tom claimed he hadn’t seen his attacker, but both he and Jimmy decided Sam Dingle were the guilty party. Tom continued to manipulate Jimmy and told him he didn’t want to go to the police as he didn’t want to cause any more trouble for Belle.

“I’m better off just keeping my head down, coping on my own,” Tom told his uncle, while we screamed into a pillow. Jimmy responded: “I’ll always have your back.”  Can someone bang his head against a wall, please?

In the village, Jimmy accused Sam of being the one to smash up Tom’s car and of attacking Tom.

The often thick Sam had us all saying “Yes, Sam!” when he told Jimmy: “And you think you’re the clever one? Protecting that idiot? He’s pulled the wool over your eyes, big time. We can all see it. Even your wife can see it.”

The truth came out at the end of the episode when Tom got into the car belonging to his solicitor friend Ollie. And if there was any doubt, it was revealed that Tom had arranged the attack himself. Ollie had been the one to hit Tom as Tom didn’t think the online messages were enough to garner sympathy.

Tom then threatened Ollie, telling him he would divulge the information he knew about him if he didn’t continue to do as Tom asked. Tom informed him they needed a back up plan to ensure he didn’t go to prison – legal or not.

Emmerdale's Liam and Chas talking at the bar in the pub

Liam and Chas made a decision

After being dumped by Liam, Ella spent some time in the Woolpack knocking back drinks. She opened up to Chas and told her: “It feels as though he’s plunged his hand into my chest, ripped my heart out, and stamped on it till it’s flat.”

“He obviously didn’t love me as much as I loved him,” she went on. Chas couldn’t have looked more guilty if she tried, but Ella didn’t catch on. Boy, is she in for a shock.

Later, Chas told Liam about her interaction with Ella, telling him how upset Ella had been. They agreed to keep their relationship a secret and to not rub Ella’s nose in it. Liam then went on to say that after a bit of time he’d be shouting about their relationship from the rooftops – because that wouldn’t be rubbing Ella’s nose in it at all.

    Also in Emmerdale tonight

Ross made a move on Charity

Ross didn’t take too kindly to Mack describing Moses as ‘our son,’ telling him, “I think you meant to say ‘your son’.” The cheek – he hasn’t been around for six years!

Later, Charity spied on Ross as he told Billy that the boxing rematch was off. Charity told Ross that she was impressed by him for being sensible. Ross took Charity’s praise the wrong way and during a cosy chat in the pub, Ross leaned in for a kiss. Charity immediately pushed him away and insisted she loved Mack.

Ross quipped, “Yeah I met him, not my favourite person.” He wasn’t put off though and told Charity: “I know that you want me.” It’s a tough life for Charity, having both Mack and Ross at her beck and call…

    Angelica struggled to settle in

Cathy went to visit Angelica, who admitted that she was struggling with being back in the village. Angel also said she didn’t ever want to go back to school for fear of bullying.

When Bob spoke to Nicola later on, Nicola was visibly upset that Angelica felt she didn’t belong in the village. Will she be able to help her daughter feel better?

  • What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Nicola is our new favourite as she gave Tom what for – and left Jimmy

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Nicola is our new favourite as she gave Tom what for – and left Jimmy

Nicola King proved she is absolutely not backing down in Emmerdale tonight as she picked her team and made her feelings about Tom perfectly clear. Honestly, we’ve never much warmed to Nicola until now when we absolutely love her!

Elsewhere, Liam was a bumbling wreck, but he managed to do the deed. Now he just has to live with the consequences.

Here’s everything that happened in Emmerdale tonight.

Tom can't manipulate Nicola, the queen of manipulation! (Credit: ITV)

    Nicola took on Tom

Not preparing to sit around and let Tom get away with it, Nicola turned her attentions to grilling Amelia for information. But Tom caught them and insisted Nicola talk to him directly. He then sat her down for ‘a chat’ to get to know each other better.

He tried to play patronising Mr Nice Guy, but Nicola did not buy that Belle imagined it all due to her mental health. She told him he was wasting his time, she could see through him and his lies. We’ve never liked Nicola this much before!

Tom tried desperately to manipulate her, despite her standing up to him. But she gave it to him with both barrels insisting he was a wife beater – at which point Jimmy walked in. And once again took Tom’s side.

    Divorce him, Nicola. Now.

Well, she didn’t quite go that far, but as Jimmy insisted she apologise to Tom, Nicola refused. And then she said her and the kids were moving to Laurel’s until Tom left. Tom offered to move out, but Jimmy told him to stay put, accusing Nicola of playing games.

But Nicola was deadly serious insisting she would not have Tom around her children. Then she went to pack her bags.

We never thought we’d say this, but we are totally Team Nicola. How can Jimmy not put his own children first? It’s beyond us. He is an absolute idiot.

And go Nicola! Is anyone else thinking of a DS Foy and Nicola King spin-off series bringing abusers to justice? Just us? Okay then…

Liam did the deed in Emmerdale tonight

Liam was once again apologising to Chas who insisted he had to break up with Ella. He finally plucked up the courage to talk to her, but she jumped in and started banging on about their first Christmas together. He bumbled and stumbled but eventually told her it wasn’t working. He also lied there was no one else, which was probably a mistake.

The sticking point now is that she has nowhere else to go so they have to keep on living together. He suggested staying with Chas, but as he hadn’t told the truth about their relationship that was a definite no-go as far as she was concerned. What a pickle, Dr C.

    Also in Emmerdale tonight…

Ross was backed into a corner by Mack (Credit: ITV)
Ross was backed into a corner by Mack (Credit: ITV)

    Did Mack set Ross up?

There was trouble at the farm when Mack supposedly saw some men hanging out, so Ross went to sort it with a gun. But when he fired a warning shot to whoever it was, it was Moses who appeared, alongside Mack. Oops. But something stinks here – did Mack set him up to make him look bad in front of Charity? Mackenzie certainly didn’t waste any time laying it on thick to his wife about what a bad dad Ross was almost shooting his own son.

Charity, of course, have a go at Ross about the incident, but he turned it round and commented that she kept trying to save him. Is there something in it? Does Charity still lust after Ross?

    Angelica returned

Angelica is home, but she was worried about what people thought of her. Jimmy was Mr Perky Positive insisting it was a fresh start, but then Bob came across them and didn’t react well, particularly as she was wearing Heath’s hoodie.

When Angel walked into the house to find Tom and Nicola arguing, she ran out, upset. Nicola found her on the bridge and tried to comfort her, promising she was going to get her daughter through this.

Meanwhile, Bob was in the pub nursing a pint and drowning his sorrows. He doesn’t think he’ll ever be able to make peace with it. Laurel advised him he had to move on, but can he?

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Tom was released but Nicola vowed to bring him down – and we love DS Foy!

Emmerdale tonight saw the police close in on Tom – even though he was then released. Nicola is on to him and is going to prove it, and DS Foy also has his number. Soon enough there’s going to be nowhere to hide for Tom King – and we can’t wait.

Meanwhile, Liam chose Chas, but failed to dump Ella, and Charity and Cain reached out to Ross, against their better judgement.

Here’s everything that went down in Emmerdale on Thursday October 31.

    Foy has Tom’s card marked

Tom had spent the night in the cells awaiting questioning. Meanwhile police were swarming the village on the hunt for the tablet. Jimmy was furious with Nicola, while Nicola was desperately trying to get through to Jimmy, but he was still firmly Team Tom.

In questioning, Tom tried to talk his way out of things and insisted he felt terrible about shouting at Carl. DS Foy did not buy his act at all. We love this man.

A bank statement and invoice were produced proving Tom bought several spy cameras. Tom admitted buying them and installing them, but said it was to protect them after being burgled twice. But every answer Tom gave, DS Foy had a comeback. This cop has got Tom’s number and he’s not going to stop until he brings him to justice. He is fast becoming our hero.

And then Foy played his ace: the tablet has been found! (At this point you’d have found us dancing around our sofas with joy). And it has been traced to Tom. Although it’s broken, Foy is sure their tech team can recover the data.

Nicola and Jimmy got good news

Back at home, Nicola and Jimmy were still at loggerheads. But a call about Angelica interrupted them. She is coming home tomorrow. The couple eventually agreed to stop bickering and that they would go along with the outcome the police decided over Tom.

Sadly for everyone, that seemed to be that Tom walked free. He was soon dropped back in the village having not been charged. Sigh.

Jimmy was over the moon, Nicola not so much, and she made it very clear she did not trust Tom as far as she could throw him.

And when Tom’s car was smashed up, Nicola insisted Tom had to go. But Jimmy took Tom’s side again and Nicola vowed to prove Tom was no good.

So with both Nicola and Foy on the case, surely it’s only a matter of time before Tom is caught and punished.

Liam chose Chas in Emmerdale tonight

Liam was doing his vampire make-up for Halloween, when Chas arrived to get Eve’s bunny. Things were awkward but he was forced into accepting her invite to the Halloween bash at the pub.

Liam later visited Chas to return the bunny and confessed he has been avoiding her. FINALLY, Liam and Chas admitted their feelings for each other. They agreed it would pass, but couldn’t resist and were soon kissing. Ella interrupted their kiss and Liam hid. But once she’d gone, Chas told Liam he had to make a choice.

Liam said it was obvious: it was Chas every time. But as he tried to break the news to Ella, she revealed Paddy had fired her. And then he ended up giving her her job back at the surgery. Liam also chickened out of breaking up with her.

When they turned up at the party at the Woolpack later, Chas was as stony faced as Morticia Adams (who she was dressed as) when she realised Liam had not ended things.

Is this yet another non-starter for the pair? Too much false hope is getting us bored.

    Ross revealed more

Aaron found out Rebecca had died three months ago. He was upset and broke the news to Victoria. She insisted they needed to find Seb – she has remembered she is his aunt and wants to bring him up herself. Another crusade for Vic then, eh?

They found Ross in the pub who told them Robert had agreed to it all and signed the papers for Seb to move to Bristol. Ross claimed to have visited Robert, which is a bit odd because yesterday he denied any knowledge of Robert being involved. Is there more to Rebecca’s death story than meets the eye?

Charity then tried to talk Ross out of fighting again. She told him to pull himself together for the sake of his son. Then she went into bat for him with Cain asking for a job for Ross – and a place to stay. Mack wasn’t happy about it, but Cain agreed, insisting there had better not be any trouble. Cue a text from Jade telling Ross to stop ignoring her and call. Sounds like trouble to us…

Things are getting on top of Belle (Credit: ITV)

    Belle lost hope

Belle is doing better, but is still terrified about going to prison. She is convinced everyone will believe Tom and there’s no talking her out of it. She was completely defeated.

Sam and Charity decided not to tell Belle about the developments in the village. But Sam couldn’t keep his mouth shut and gave Belle the hope she needed. Which proved to be a huge mistake when he later saw Tom free in the village.

    Cain can’t cope

Moira’s been gone five minutes and Cain’s run ragged, running the farm and the garage and baking cakes for Isaac. They were as hard as rocks, but at least he could pull off the pinny!

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Ross revealed what happened to Rebecca and Nicola did the right thing over Tom – for once!

In Emmerdale tonight (Wednesday, October 30), Ross Barton stirred up trouble in the Dales – and he’s only just got back.

Considering the mere mention of him caused trouble between Charity Dingle and Mack – you have to give him props.

Here’s what else happened in Emmerdale tonight.

Charity had to appease Mack over Ross' return (Credit: ITV)

    Emmerdale tonight: Ross explained everything

Ross was standing over James Barton’s grave. Suited and booted in his usual tracksuit, he called out hello to cousin Matty. They shared a brief catch-up, where Ross indicated a lot had changed in his life…

He then went to see Moses, but had no luck as he was with Matty and Amy. Despite this, he confirmed to Charity that he’d be sticking around to spend time with his son. Charity, safe to say, was not too keen.

After a parenting lesson, Ross tried to get round Charity, but she only wanted answers. Ross weirdly then wanted a selfie for Moses. Seems strange for a first return…

Ross gave his two pence on Mack, but Charity found out he and Rebecca had ended. Not only that… she is dead. Yes, Rebecca White has died.

Ross explained he was left with Seb one day while Rebecca went in for a routine operation. However he was then told that Rebecca’s heart stopped during surgery. Since then, he and Seb were close until Seb was taken to live with Rebecca’s aunt in Bristol. Ross thought it was probably for the best.

Nicola reported Tom in Emmerdale tonight

Jimmy headed over to the B&B to let Tom know he was welcome back to the King residence at any point. Nicola wasn’t too keen… rightly so!

She was still angry at Tom, and came up with an idea. She and Carl headed to the police station, and Carl gave a statement about the missing tablet…

The police said they’ll review the recording and get back when they have more information.

Nicola got a shock when she got back to see Tom moved back in. However, the police turned up just in time to take Tom in for questioning.

Jimmy took his anger out by ranting at Nicola, but she insisted the police needed to know. Will they make up? And is this finally Tom’s downfall?

    Also in Emmerdale tonight…

    Moira left

Matty and Moira were still happy to go away, despite the shock of Ross turning up. Cain was more than surprised to hear when they told him… not exactly the news he expected over his morning cuppa.

He came around to the idea of their tour to visit Adam, especially with Moira’s agreement that she’d be back before her operation.

Nevertheless, Cain was struggling with the prospect of her going away.

As Moira and Cain comforted each other both were painfully aware this could be a rehearsal for a more permanent farewell

    Aaron covered for Billy

Dawn was not happy to see Aaron at the pub. Billy told her to back off, but she was interested to hear what he had to say when he suggested Billy might be hiding something…

After Billy’s stern look, Aaron backed down. Will the truth come out?

Billy hid money from Dawn and offered pizza, she shared concern, but he reassured her they would be okay…

When bringing the pizzas in, he was confronted by Ross, who warned him he was in great danger. Ross said he had to fight again. We wonder how this one will go…

What happened on Emmerdale tonight: Ross returned to the village, and Tom was in trouble

In Emmerdale tonight (Tuesday, October 29), Ross Barton returned to the village. This came in the wake of his fight with Billy – in which he emerged the loser, having taken a sucker-punch to the face.

Elsewhere, Tom tried to talk his way out of trouble, and Mack squared off against Ross.

Here’s what else happened in Emmerdale tonight.

Ross and Billy came to blows in Emmerdale tonight

The bell rang on Billy’s illegal bare knuckle fight, and his opponent was revealed – Ross Barton, in full pantomime villain role. As a concerned Aaron and Mack looked on, Ross set about beating poor Billy into a fine paste.

Aware that Billy was out of his depth, Aaron tried to convince him to take a dive. Meanwhile, Mack attempted to get young Moses – who Ross had brought along to watch – out of the building. As he did so, Moses cried out, distracting Ross.

This was when Billy got in a lucky punch, knocking his opponent unconscious. Aaron was quick to point out that Billy may have landed himself in even more trouble, given he was supposed to have thrown the fight.

“You just made a very silly mistake,” a sinister Jade warned as she handed over a wad of cash. Back at home, he lied to Dawn, telling her he’d come off the worse in a scrap against Aaron.

A face from the past returned

Back at home, Mack snitched on Ross to Charity, revealing that he’d let Moses watch him fight. Charity answered the door to find Ross on the doorstep, glowering away, and demanding his son back.

Throwing his weight around, Ross mocked Mack over his parenting to Reuben – then delivered a devastating blow to the gut which brought Mack to his knees and shutting his mouth… for now.

In a huff, Mack stormed out on Charity. He confronted Ross again in the pub, where he proved he hadn’t learned his lesson – invoking the name of Ross’s mother, Emma.

The pair continued to bicker out on the street, where Ross followed up his physical beat-down with a verbal one, warning Mack that someone had just ‘thrown a grenade’ into his happy little life. Boom.

Tom argues with Jimmy and Nicola on Emmerdale

Tom tried to wriggle out of trouble

Aware that Tom had lost his temper at Carl, Nicola threatened to call the police. In an attempt to worm out of trouble, Tom admitted that he did snap at Carl, but that’s as far as he’d gone… honestly.

While Jimmy was taken in, Nicola wasn’t buying it. Tom admitted the truth about the cameras, but tried to spin the narrative that he’d only been spying on her for her own safety.

Pulling on Jimmy’s heartstrings with a little emotional blackmail, Tom begged for his uncle’s forgiveness. “You’re like a father to me,” doe-eyed Tom claimed, causing dim Jim to recall mistakes he’d made with Angelica.

Tom may have convinced his uncle for now, but Nicola isn’t one to give up easily…

Elsewhere on Emmerdale tonight: the book club is in session

Outside the Woolpack, the three members of the Emmerdale book club – Gail, Mary and Bob – debated the merits of Bob’s latest pick – Jackie Collins’ Hollywood Wives.

As Bob wandered off to dive into his book, Mary asked Gail for a front of house job – which Gail agreed to. It may have been Mary’s first day pulling pints, but she can’t have done much worse than Gail. “Your face… has it always been like that?” Gail tactlessly asked the man with the acid scars.

Against patter like that, Mary looked like an absolute pro in comparison.

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Billy got cold feet and Ross Barton made quite the return

In Emmerdale tonight (Monday, October 28), Billy realised the danger he was in and felt guilty for lying to his family…

Elsewhere, Nicola realised Carl’s bad mood was related to Tom. Her cogs were turning…

We also heard an interesting conversation about Ryan’s celebrity crushes… The Little Mermaid cartoon AND live-action, apparently.

Here’s what else happened in Emmerdale tonight.

Billy got cold feet in Emmerdale tonight

The episode started with a guilty Billy trying to hide his aches and pains…

Dawn was suspicious but buried her thoughts after Billy gave a smile and a few good excuses. Later on, Aaron encouraged Mack to put a stop to Billy’s fighting before it’s too late. While Mack had – as usual – made a few sharp jokes, he tried to talk Billy down.

    It didn’t work…

Later, he met with unrelenting Jade to try and get more information. When she wouldn’t give in, Billy tried to back out of the fight.

However, he underestimated the people he got involved with. Later on, Mack was aghast to see Billy on Main Street, being escorted to the fight by Jade.

    Ross Barton is back!

He tried again to talk Billy down but Billy insisted he had to fight for his own safety. Mack threatened to call Dawn, but he stopped him.

Soon Aaron was convinced by Mack to go with Mack to Billy’s fight and try to help him.

Meanwhile at Butlers Barn, Jade unpacked the dangerous rules of the unlicensed fight and the penny dropped for Billy that Aaron was right about the nature of the event.

Billy realised he made a big mistake, but Mack offered some last minute advice.

Much to his shock, he was faced with Ross Barton… And, we’re so glad he’s back!

Nicola speaks to Carl in Ememrdale

    Nicola clocks onto Tom

After much worry and observation, Nicola realised Carl was clamming up every time Tom was mentioned or in the room. The suspect headed off with Rodney to accompany him at work.

After some coaxing, Nicola almost got the truth out of Carl, but they were interrupted by Tom. Nicola was left frustrated after Carl refused to say anything. She called Jimmy to try and hash out her ideas, but he was not convinced.

Later on, she dug out a binned remote control car from the bin, and Carl got scared in case Tom would find out. Nicola managed to get some information, but Carl refused to tell the whole truth.

Tom was grilled by Nicola and soon Jimmy was concerned by what he was hearing as Tom tried to cover up his lies.

Nicola threatened Tom with the police… And, we all breathed a huge sigh of relief!

Moira was caught out in Emmerdale tonight

Moira had to face up to her actions tonight.

She tried to strike up conversation with an angry Cain. After he wouldn’t respond, he revealed he had heard her conversation with Ness about ‘living well,’ which revealed she would like to not be resuscitated if the worst happened to her.

Cain was angry and annoyed she did not tell him. And, we don’t blame him!

Moira reasoned with him and said she thought he had too much family stuff on, what with Zak passing away and Belle getting mental health support.

Cain eventually relented. His biggest fear is Moira’s death, and he hugged her to let her know.

    Gail’s new hobby

Elsewhere, Gail was frustrated with Ryan after a conversation about celebrity crushes. We reckon she was angry because she holds a vendetta against Lara Croft and Jessica Rabbit. She was very vocal about her jealousy over Carol Vorderman too!

She unravelled her woes to Mary and Bob. They comforted her and suggested she needed something new and exciting in her life. We agree…

She was soon roped into joining the book club. Bob picked this month’s book, and the women were left speechless…

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Belle had a huge mental struggle – and her family was concerned

In Emmerdale tonight (Thursday, October 24), Belle’s mental health continued to decline following the death of her dad, Zak Dingle.

Belle has been having an internal battle since suffering abuse at the hands of Tom – and it’s not getting any better.

Now we know Belle is hearing voices in her head. Will she be able to get help soon? Here’s what else happened in Emmerdale tonight.

    Emmerdale tonight: Belle’s struggles

The episode kicked off tonight with Belle trying to tidy up Zak’s grave frantically. Lydia returned with a worried look on her face – not the last time she’d be making that expression, either. Lydia was nervous for Belle, and tried to get her to leave the house for the day. It was no good, however…

She headed to the grave, Belle broke down and responded to voices… but we couldn’t hear them.

Belle tried to dig her dad up. She’s been hearing him among other voices in her head.

After they discover her shouting and covering her ears, Lydia and Sam comforted Belle.

Later on, Sam and Lydia suggested calling Rachel. Sam was unsure, but Belle agreed. She admitted herself into a secluded psychiatric ward to hopefully get better. Poor Belle…

    Emmerdale tonight: Tom is smug

Sat outside the café, Tom argued over the phone about Belle being released from police custody.

He claims it was harassment. Ironic, don’t you think…?

Jimmy brought him out a coffee and we learned Belle will go to prison if she approaches him again.

Rhona passed by and Jimmy cornered her asking about Tom’s job. She said he can’t get his job back until the investigation is over. Adding to this, she said he should find another job as she doesn’t believe it’ll work out with her. Good on her!

At the pub, Charity denied Tom service. ‘Too many Dingles,’ according to Jimmy. They’re a protective bunch, after all.

Jimmy and Nicola had Tom’s back. Nicola got a drink from the bar and overheard Charity talk about Belle’s breakdown… she filled Jimmy and Tom in on the news.

Tom was (frustratingly) delighted, the rest of the pub weren’t.

Later on, back at the house, Nicola noticed Carl was uncomfortable around Tom and often tenses up when around him. He even wanted to go home when he accidentally crashed Tom’s toy car.

Will Nicola catch on to Tom’s evil ways?

    Emmerdale tonight: Protective Dingle brothers

Struggling with Belle’s mental health decline and the death of Zak, Sam went to Jimmy’s and almost beat him up in anger. He stopped as he realised Tom could use it against Belle.

Cain walked in and split the men up. They shared a drink and discussed their pressures. It’s a tough week to be a Dingle.

Moira and Cain also discussed Belle’s arrest the day before. Cain was worried, saying Belle will never recover.

In positive news, Moira got a new date for her op – 20th November, but she’s wasn’t sure.

She worried Cain has too much pressure from Zak’s death and Belle’s arrest, but Cain reassured her that he’ll be fine.

Billy, Mack and John in Emmerdale
Despite warnings, Billy is set on the fight (Credit: ITV)

    Billy is determined

Billy took his anger out on his family. Still practising his illegal boxing, he was secretive and on-edge in the home. Meanwhile Mackenzie was impressed at John’s impromptu coaching session. Billy’s defence has improved.

He was still hiding his injury from Dawn.

Later on, John enlisted Aaron’s help in order to persuade Billy he’s not in a fit state to fight. This did not go well. It appears even death couldn’t take Billy’s mind off the fight…

Previously feeling like a failure, Billy’s fight has given him a positive focus. He wanted the money, and pride for his struggling family.

Will he go through with it?

    Mandy finds the will

We were greeted with Mandy’s dulcet tones – before she was surprised with a lock-picking Tina Dingle.

Back to her old ways, she reminded Mandy of their ‘agreement.’ She wanted one thing and only one thing – Zak’s will.

After a hair consultation, Mandy said she couldn’t get the will. She refused to rip off her family. That didn’t last long…

Tina threatened to ask Vinny, which Mandy was not pleased with. They argued over family history, affairs, child kidnapping – the usual.

She threatened to lie to Vinny and make herself out as a victim. She gave Mandy until the end of the day or she’d reveal herself to Vinny and tell him of Mandy’s ‘dirty, little secret.’

After much scrambling and almost getting caught, Mandy finally found what she was looking for. Under a sofa, no less…

Mandy called Tina with the news. Will this be the end of it?

Moira and Ness talk in Emmerdale
Moira and Ness talk her future (Credit: ITV)

    Moira discusses her future

Ness and Moira enjoyed a day together while Cain headed off to the hospital to see Belle.

They discussed her health and updating her will… Ness was hopeful, while Belle remained slightly downcast about her future.

She reminded Ness she could end up brain dead or seriously ill. In preparation of that, Moira revealed she had made an ‘advanced’ decision about her health.

Moira told doctors to make no attempt to resuscitate if the worst happened. Ness tried to get her to change her mind, but Moira seemed set.

She hadn’t told Cain. Could that change in the future? Or will it be too late?

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Belle struggled with her mental health as she was arrested following Tom’s latest sly move

In Emmerdale tonight (Wednesday, October 23), Belle was arrested after she angrily confronted Tom yesterday. Having hauled Belle to the station for breaking her bail conditions, DS Foy issued a stark warning – leave Tom alone, or else.

Meanwhile, Caleb tried to make amends to a still-frosty Ruby. And, with Tina hounding her over the phone, Mandy attempted to bury her head in the sand.

Belle was arrested in Emmerdale tonight

After the events of yesterday Belle, was in a foul mood. After relaying what had happened to Charity, her cousin told her what we’re all thinking: “Cut him off. Don’t give him the oxygen” (both literally and figuratively).

Unfortunately, the damage had already been done. A knock at the door heralded the arrival of DS Foy and his partner, who promptly arrested Belle for breaking her bail conditions by visiting Tom.

Down the station, Belle tried to put forth her side of the story. The detective was sympathetic, but was clear to Belle that she was in big trouble – warning her that she’d face prison if she sought Tom out again.

Back at home, she sought comfort at Zak’s graveside, chatting to her dad while wearing his outsized shirt. “I didn’t know how much I needed you dad,” she told him as they exchanged words, her face full of trauma and hurt.

Heartbreaking stuff – but are the voices in Belle’s head getting too real?

    Caleb tried to make amends

As Caleb begged Ruby to meet him for lunch in the Hide, he was consoled by Laurel, who gave him some food for thought.

Back home, he attempted to make up to Ruby with a bunch of flowers. “Have you been in touch with Steph?” he asked her, floating a name – their estranged daughter – which is sure to take on greater importance in the coming months.

Later, still eager to make amends, Caleb turned up with another gift. He revealed that he’d sorted her out with a trip to visit Nicky and Suni. A nice holiday – but can Caleb be trusted to be left to his own devices while she’s away?

Mandy tried to keep Tina quiet

Trying to smooth things over between his mum and his girlfriend, Vinny and Gabby hosted as Mandy paid a visit to Home Farm with Paddy. She wasted little time in snooping around Kim’s things – and whipped up some extra strong margheritas while she was there.

In the background, her phone rang ominously, with cousin Tina trying desperately to reach her with her latest demands. As the gang headed back into town, Tina spied from a bush opposite the Woolpack.

Hustling her into the salon before anyone could see, Mandy tried to pacify the angry Dingle. And, with Charity arriving to fill her in on Belle’s arrest, Mandy made her excuses and further hid Tina in a back room.

It’s clear, though, that Mandy can only keep Tina under wraps for so long…

    Elsewhere on Emmerdale tonight

Never one to realise when he’s not wanted, Will popped by the cafe, where Jimmy made clear that yesterday’s brutal unfriending still stood. Rejected, Will stomped off, but was that a sense of regret we spotted on Jimmy’s face?

Meanwhile, Billy continued to feel like a failure as the baby cried and Dawn complained about Lucas’s terrible second-hand laptop and a squeaky floorboard. Feeling frustrated and unable to provide for his family, Billy sloped off to take a mysterious phone call.

Elsewhere, a smug Tom delighted in Belle’s arrest. Things were awkward between him and Carl Jr as he and Jimmy left the house. He offered to take the youth out with his remote control car – but Carl couldn’t get out of there fast enough.

Will anyone realise exactly why Carl is so afraid of him?

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Belle confronted Tom – and he called the police

In Emmerdale tonight (Tuesday, October 22), Belle Dingle was left horrified after a mystery delivery left her fearing that Tom was up to his old tricks again. And, as she confronted him in the village, he retaliated by calling the police.

Here’s what else happened in Emmerdale tonight.

Belle feared the worst (Credit: ITV)

Belle got into a tizzy in Emmerdale tonight

Still fuming at Sam for telling Zak about Tom’s abuse, Belle was in a foul mood. This was only exacerbated by the delivery of a bunch of flowers from an unnamed source. Belle immediately assumed that it was Tom.

Roses, Belle claimed were Tom’s gift of choice, even though she’d always told him that she didn’t like them. The Dingles looked on as she stormed out of the house, leaving Sam and Lydia concerned.

She confronted Tom outside Victoria cottage, accusing him of sending the flowers. In typical Tom fashion, he denied everything and called her out for “losing the plot.”

“Do you really want to end up back in the secure unit?” he sneered. He then pointed out how she’d just broken her bail conditions. Flinging the flowers at Tom, Belle suffered a flashback to the night she axed him.

Back at home, she snapped again at Lydia and Sam (currently wearing Zak’s stinky old cardigan). When Sam and Lydia pointed out that she was supposed to be keeping her distance from Tom, she exploded again and stormed out.

Wrapped up in her grief, Belle headed to Zak’s grave to seek guidance from her dad. Little did she know, but Tom was watching from afar, making a sly phone call to the police.

    Caleb burned his bridges

Eager to take ownership of the haulage firm, Caleb paid Jimmy a visit, bright and early. Dragging his feet, Jimmy told Caleb that he’d have to read over the small-print first. With Caleb in a sulk over Ruby learning how he’d scammed her mother, he wasn’t even able to savour his latest victory.

In the Woolpack, he was chastised by Chas. Questioning her over Ruby’s whereabouts, he revealed that she hadn’t been home last night – suspiciously noticing that Chas was sitting there with two mugs of tea. As Ruby emerged, he tried to explain himself – as if one can justify blackmailing a dying woman.

This, he tried to do by claiming that he’d been “looking out for us.” He then revealed that her father had tried to pay him off when they were younger. “I love you, you can’t put a price on that,” he told Ruby when she asked whether he’d been tempted to take the cash.

For a while, it looked as though everything was coming up Caleb. Paying a visit to Jimmy, he attempted to sweeten the deal with a nice bottle of whiskey. However, Jimmy threw it back in his face (not literally) with a shredded contract (literally).

Jimmy revealed that he knew Caleb had set up a secret second deal which would save the haulage company, making it profitable again. Reneging on the deal, Jimmy delighted in telling him that the sale was off.

Back at home, Caleb accused Ruby of ratting him out to Jimmy. She didn’t take it well, spurning his subsequent apology and chucking him out of the house (again).

    Will felt guilty

Still loitering about Home Farm like a bad smell, Will wrestled with his conscience over betraying Jimmy. Kim remained icy with her ex, bragging about her day out to see Dawn and Billy as Will munched on a slice of toast in his dressing gown. “I’d invite you along but they don’t want to see you any more than I do,” she purred on her way out of the door, putting Will right off his toast. Ouch.

She continued to rub it in as he read over Caleb’s contract with Jimmy later. “All the better for not having you in the car with us,” she sniped as he asked how her conker-gathering trip with Dawn and Billy had been. Ouch again.

In the pub, Caleb confronted the man who’d sold him out to Jimmy – Will. In trying to ease his conscience, Will had told Jimmy about Caleb’s plans. Having saved Jimmy from losing the haulage firm, Will tried to reach out to his friend, only to be rejected by him too. “Friends? You and me? That ship has sailed,” Jimmy told him, before flouncing off. Ouch yet again.

    Elsewhere in Emmerdale tonight

“Not like you to leave sausages on your plate,” said a tactless Rodney as Mandy and Paddy shared breakfast in the cafe. Mandy was feeling out of sorts after her run-in with Tina yesterday – and took it out on Rodney. But, between his food-shaming and his leering over Tina, kind of deserved it.

Mandy was left feeling uncomfortable as Vinny questioned what Tina is like. Making her excuses, she stormed off to the salon. Her sharp exit had Vinny wondering whether his mum (Mandy, that is) had taken a dislike to Gabby.

“You have never knowingly turned down a Pina Colada,” a suspicious Paddy said as he confronted Mandy over her rejecting Gabby’s party. He tried to reassure her that no-one could ever take her place as Vinny’s mum – but Mandy has her doubts.

She made up with Vinny, agreeing to come for cocktails with him and Gabby tomorrow. But how long can Mandy keep her secret?

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Tina Dingle has a secret son in the village – and Mandy was distraught

In Emmerdale tonight (Monday, October 21), Tina Dingle returned and dropped a huge bombshell, causing Mandy to be fearful.

Tina returned to the village last week during Zak Dingle’s funeral. Her stay was short, however, as she was hauled off by the police for breaching her release conditions.

But now, a tag-free Tina is back. Here’s what else happened in Emmerdale tonight.

    Tina dropped a bombshell

As the Dingles attempted to get on with their lives following Zak’s funeral, Mandy received an unwanted visitor at the salon.

Tina greeted Vinny and questioned him about his love life. After he left, Mandy shouted at Tina that she’d told her to stay away.

Tina snapped: “You don’t get to tell me where I can and can’t go, especially now I’ve got interests round here.”

Suspecting that Tina was after the house again, Mandy reiterated that Tina isn’t included in Zak’s will and can’t have a share of the house, but Tina replied: “Prove it. It belongs to family. And I’m family. And who says we’re just talking about the house?”

This caused a nervous reaction from Mandy, as Tina continued: “I’ve come for everything that’s mine. Vinny is such a sweet boy. Do you know, it makes me sad, thinking about everything I’ve missed out on. What’s mine is mine. My house. My son.”

While Vinny knows Mandy is not his biological mum, he is unaware of his true parentage. Will Tina reveal all to him?

Caleb’s lies were exposed in Emmerdale tonight

Caleb tried to convince Ruby to let him deal with her mum’s will as he desperately tried to keep the secret that Ruby’s mum had given him £100,000 before she died. Ruby was adamant she wanted to be involved though.

During the reading of the will, Ruby was incensed to discover that Helen had left everything to Ruby’s daughter Stephanie and questioned whether Helen and Steph had been meeting up.

“I did everything to keep them apart. I didn’t want any of my mum’s poison rubbing off on her,” Ruby remarked, before leaving to get some air.

Caleb then pleaded ignorance when the solicitor asked him about the mystery payment from Helen’s bank account, Caleb tried to keep this from Ruby, but the solicitor bumped into Ruby in the village and mentioned the £100,000.

Back at home, Ruby screamed at Caleb to “Stop lying to me,” before he eventually relented and admitted that he had the money and wanted to invest it in the haulage yard. Ruby was angry and chastised Caleb for never being honest.

Belle was angry at Mandy’s revelation

Feeling down about not visiting her dad during his last days, Mandy tried to make Belle feel better but let it slip that Zak had been aware about her situation with Tom.

Belle was furious when Mandy shared that Cain and Sam had told Zak about Tom’s abuse. Belle hit out at Sam, but soon calmed down when Sam explained that Zak sensed something was up and they couldn’t lie to him. Sam shared that Zak wanted to “rip Tom’s head off.”

Later, Sam stuck a handmade cross into Zak’s burial site engraved with the words “Our dad”. There was a nice moment as Sam chatted to his dad about the mundane things going on in the village.

    Elsewhere in Emmerdale tonight

Gabby was worried that Mandy thought she was a snob. She was right to share that view as Mandy told Belle that Gabby was from another planet.

Elsewhere, Jimmy reminisced about his brothers, the haulage company and Edna (!) Will told him that even if he sells up to Caleb, he’ll always have the memories. But will Jimmy be able to let go?
