What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Caleb framed Cain and threatened Aaron, while Liam got things really wrong

Emmerdale tonight saw Caleb’s dark side come out as he framed Cain and threatened Aaron. But will Aaron get the better of his uncle?

Meanwhile, Liam’s extravagant proposal hit more than a few hiccups, so he decided to put the idea ‘on ice’. Which might just be the stupidest thing he’s ever said…

Cain arrested

The police arrived at the garage to arrest Cain. Caleb, Ruby and Steph were watching and Steph shouted at the police car demanding answers. Ruby was beside herself, sure this meant it was all about to come crashing down around them. Caleb promised he would always protect her.

Aaron then caught Caleb snooping around at Butlers. But Caleb pocketed some keys and managed to fob him off – for now.

At the station Cain stuck to the story, but the evidence was stacking up – he was the last person to see Anthony alive, he’d scrapped the car illegally and Manpreet had complained about noise after hours. Cain then agreed they could search the garage.

Aaron saved Cain’s skin – but was threatened by Caleb

They found nothing – which it turned out was because Aaron had worked out what Caleb was up to and got there first. Caleb had planted Anthony’s tooth in Cain’s car boot and Aaron had found it before the police got there.

Aaron wanted answers. But Caleb fronted it out and insisted Aaron was in too deep and he couldn’t interfere with his plan to frame Cain. Caleb then produced CCTV of Aaron taking Anthony’s stuff and driving Anthony’s car to the garage.

“Loyalty’s for losers Aaron,” Caleb told him as he insisted Aaron had better keep quiet or else he would be next.

Liam’s plan to propose in Emmerdale tonight

Aaron was being hassled by John over how he was coping when Liam turned up. He wants Chas’ hand in marriage. But Aaron was distracted by the police being outside with Cain. The interaction between the two was quite amusing – Liam’s eagerness met with Aaron’s grumpiness gave us a good chuckle.

Despite Aaron’s blessing, Liam was left disappointed when he didn’t win the limo ride in the raffle. Bang goes his big romantic proposal under the moonlight.

Liam then asked Suzy to source him another limo, but Kerry was about to spoil that when she invited Chas to join her on a girls’ night.

As Chas insisted she hated Valentine’s Day, Liam covered his embarrassment by saying he’d hired the limo for a boys’ night.

He later confided in Paddy that he worried he didn’t really know Chas at all. He said he was going to keep it on ‘ice’ which is foreshadowing if ever we heard it.

Leyla at rock bottom

Suzy caught Leyla with cocaine at Take A Vow. Leyla explained it was Jacob’s and she couldn’t believe he was reaching for drugs. She vowed to act and tracked him down to the Hide.

Leyla confronted Jacob in front of his friends and he insisted it wasn’t his. Jacob’s mate then confessed it was his.

Despite trying to make it up to Jacob, his mate made things worse by trying to flirt with Belle and comparing her to a pigeon. He was dispatched pretty quickly after that.

Meanwhile, Leyla was sobbing at Take A Vow over how she’d messed up with Jacob. Belle tried to comfort her, but it was no good.

Also in Emmerdale tonight…

Amy had bought some sexy undies for Valentine’s Day and decided to test them out a day earlier. Which was unfortunate because the social worker they were meeting about the adoption turned up early and caught them in the act. She seemed understanding though and offered to come back later.

Fortunately, it all went really well and the adoption process has begun. But will there be any more slip-ups?

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Belle showed Tom who’s boss as Caleb sobbed over Ruby and Cain

In Emmerdale tonight Tom King realised he was no longer able to manipulate Belle as she showed him she’s done with him for good. But will he listen?

Meanwhile, Cain’s behaviour and Steph’s admission put the puzzle pieces together for Caleb who realised Cain and Ruby had slept together. And now he’s plotting revenge…

Caleb worked out the truth about Cain and Ruby

Cain was awkward with Caleb when he popped over to the garage – and made out it was just because of the Anthony cover-up.

When Caleb returned home he found PC Swirling with Steph and Ruby. Steph still wants answers and wants to declare her grandad officially missing.

Later, Steph told Caleb she had been to the doctors to get the contraceptive injection. Caleb flashed back to finding the morning after pill in the bin and thinking it was Steph’s. Then when she mentioned she’d seen Cain and Ruby glaring at each other in the street, Caleb flashed back to Anthony’s claims they were sleeping together.

The penny had dropped – and frankly we wish it hadn’t. This would have been far better left alone. Actually, far better if it had never happened, but it did and here we are.

Caleb then drowned his sorrows in the pub – and lashed out at Mary who was feeling really shakey after seeing Vanessa and Suzy all loved-up. They ended up offering comfort to each other.

Caleb couldn’t hold it together when Cain arrived, and he went and sobbed in the toilets.

He then questioned Cain about whether he’s willing to stick to the plan. Cain insisted he wouldn’t let him down. But something Cain said was all the confirmation Caleb needed. His face darkened as Cain left and we’re left wondering exactly what he’s plotting against his brother…

Belle got rid of Tom for good in Emmerdale tonight

Lydia had finally realised Belle seeing Tom is a bad idea. But Belle was adamant she has to do it.

In the prison visiting room Tom was admittedly surprised Belle came. He played the victim and said he knew he didn’t deserve it.

Tom went on that he wanted to achieve a future together and Belle told him all they would achieve would be a divorce. Tom begrudgingly admitted he had made some mistakes (big of him). And then he said he believed her family were pushing the divorce and now she’s seen him she must know they can work it out.

Tom then insisted he would fight her for everything if she tried to divorce him. She told them there wasn’t anything to fight for and she’s not going to get scared again.

Belle then left him, with one final look of defiance back that told him she is done and that is it. Is this the last we see of Tom? We really hope so.

Joe wasn’t ‘done yet’

In the ktichen at GHome Farm, Charity threatened Joe off hurting Noah again. He then popped some pills, reminding us all that something is seriously wrong.Â But what?

Joe was later in the pub when Cain approached and threatened him with a bogwashing if he went near Noah again. Joe then took a mysterious phone call and told the caller Noah will “be in the right place at the right time” and insisted he wasn’t done yet.

Leyla made a discovery

Leyla was determined to go in the limo ride she’s giving away for the raffle, her loneliness overwhelming her. Meanwhile, Jacob planned a night out with Sarah and his mate, leaving Leyla on her own again.

She later tripped over Jacob’s bag and was shocked to find a bag of white powder in there. But will she confront him over it?

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Tom returned to torment Belle as Charity and Noah turned the tables on Joe

Tom King returned to our screens in Emmerdale tonight (Tuesday, February 11) as Belle attempted to start divorce proceedings. Manipulative Tom saw this as an opportunity to get his claws into Belle again, and demanded a face-to-face meeting. What is Tom up to?

Elsewhere, Joe celebrated as his plans for Noah began to come together. But, as he and Charity suddenly turned the tables, he found that the scamster had suddenly become the scam-ee. And, as Dawn fretted about Charity, she began to see Joe’s true colours..

Meanwhile, Moira rejected Cain, and Rhona and Marlon continued to pester April.

Tom returned on Emmerdale tonight

Tom King was the first face we saw as the opening credits finished rolling on tonight’s episode. Receiving a visit from the prison chaplain, he had something on his mind.

Having learned that Belle had begun divorce proceedings, he was desperate to see his wife again. He seemed convinced that seeing Belle face-to-face again would help him to iron out all the, ahem, misunderstandings between them. He asked the chaplain to speak with Belle’s solicitor on his behalf.

Meeting with her solicitor, Belle set into motion the terms of the divorce. After warning her that Tom would probably try to delay proceedings, Belle’s solicitor suggested it’d be a good idea to pay Tom a visit in prison.

The prison chaplain’s message passed on, Belle mulled over going to see Tom. Back in his cell, Tom took out his temper on the chaplain – only to be informed that she’s planning on visiting tomorrow.

“I’ve been dreaming of this moment. This is the chance I’ve been waiting for since I’ve been locked up… and I’m not about to waste it,” he sneered sinisterly. What does Tom have planned for Belle now?

Noah and Charity turned the tables on Joe

Noah was dismayed to find that someone had broken into his van and stolen his tools. Smug Joe was on hand to ask him if he was regretting not taking the Dubai job yet – real subtle, Joe.

He continued to rub it in, accusing Charity of making Noah miss out on the biggest opportunity of his life to stay home and ‘be a mummy’s boy.’Â We’d agree, if he didn’t so obviously have something terrible planned for his half-brother.

As Noah left for his job and Joe sauntered off, Dawn headed over for a word. Charity reassured her that she had no interest in snitching on their affair – but left her with a warning.

Later, sulky Noah unloaded on Lydia, telling her how he felt his business was dead in the water. In the cafe, Joe continued to bang on about Dubai, telling him that the offer remained on the table. Noah accepted and, as they shook on it, agreed to meet later to celebrate in the Woolpack.

Back at Home Farm, Dawn wanted to talk about Charity’s blackmail. Joe, however, was utterly disinterested (“I don’t have a marriage to ruin, so it’s not my problem”), leaving her under no illusion as to where she stood.

Selecting a bottle of the Woolpack’s finest champagne, Joe was in the mood to celebrate – and rub Charity’s nose in it. However, she had news of her own. They’d found Noah’s tools in a local pawn shop, and she and knew Joe had put them there.

Reveling in Joe’s anger, she informed him that they’d bought back Noah’s tools – and gotten him some work too. As he stormed out, Charity and Noah celebrated a plan well foiled.

Rhona and Marlon pestered April

Rhona returned home, having taken down all of the Missing Child posters from around town. She and Marlon worried about how they could best protect April from all of the gossip, online and around the village.

Joining them in the kitchen, April re-iterated her need to be left alone. No chance of that – and they barged into her room without knocking. “We need to talk,” Marlon insisted, ignoring her admission that she wasn’t ready to do so yet.

Rhona told her that she and Marlon planned on registering the baby’s birth on her behalf. In no mood to talk about it, April suggested they do what they want… just leave her alone.

Moira felt self-conscious on Emmerdale tonight

Moira and Cain returned home after another radiotherapy session. As she fretted, he reassured her that he was still attracted to her. She was shocked as a clump of her hair fell out while she sat on the sofa. Upset and wanting to be alone, she packed Cain off to the pub while she sat behind and wept.

In the Woolpack, Cain sought advice from Charity and Lydia. They told him that he needed to prove his dedication to Moira – and stop feeling sorry for himself. Back at home, he reminded her that he was going nowhere, hair or no hair.

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Joe didn’t take Noah’s news well and Belle started divorce proceedings against Tom

Marlon continued to struggle to get through to April in Emmerdale tonight. After taking April to say goodbye to her stillborn daughter, she lashed out at her dad.

Elsewhere, Noah had a change of heart and told Joe that he didn’t want to go to Dubai any more. Joe didn’t take the news well, leaving Noah shocked by his reaction.

Marlon took April to say goodbye to her baby

Desperate to find a way to help April, Marlon and Rhona went to visit Lydia and asked her to relive the painful time during which she gave birth to a stillborn baby.

Lydia told them that she felt ashamed when she lost Toby and that it was the darkest time of her life. When asked if it would be a good idea for April to go to the hospital and say goodbye to her baby, Lydia said it meant the world to her when she was finally able to scatter Toby’s ashes and say goodbye.

However, she told them that everyone manages things differently and what worked for her won’t necessarily work for April.

Rhona and Marlon made the suggestion to April anyway. The next scene showed April at the hospital with Marlon. It seemed that a corner was being turned as April asked her dad to go into the room with her.

But, once in the room, April couldn’t speak and quickly left the room, while Marlon emotionally said: “So sorry I never got to meet you, but youâ€™ll always be part of our family.”

Later, April had a go at Marlon, and said she only went to the hospital to shut him up and that she hated being there. “I donâ€™t know what you expected me to feel, but I didnâ€™t feel it. I feel nothing.” Marlon and Rhona watched on helpless as April walked away.

Joe discovered Kim doesn’t trust him in Emmerdale tonight

Joe was surprised to see Charity Dingle waiting for him. “Look who it is. My least favourite of the Tates,” she said. It’s quite an accomplishment to hold that title!

Charity went on to threaten Joe, telling him that he has to tell Noah the job in Dubai is off the table or sheâ€™ll tell Dawn’s husband Billy about Joe and Dawn’s fling.

Joe wasn’t bothered about her threats and called her bluff. “If you want to break up a family where a kid has got cancer, you do your thing, you go for it.” He also called his affair with Dawn casual and made it clear he doesn’t care about her marriage. Nice guy.

Admitting defeat, Charity flung Kimâ€™s laptop at Joe. He of course went through it and discovered that Kim had bugged his room. He later encrypted the audio files, before getting Dawn to give the laptop back to Kim and blame it being missing on the kids.

Later, Joe found the bug in his room and faked a phone conversation. He said: “Kim? I know sheâ€™s not blood, but sheâ€™s as good as… Yeah, I feel like weâ€™re really starting to make a connection.” Call us cynical, but won’t it look a bit suspicious that the first file Kim will hear after getting her encrypted laptop back is that one?

Noah had a change of heart

Joe presented Noah with the contract to his new job in Dubai in front of Charity. Charity once again tried to talk Noah out of it, but he was adamant, telling his mum: “Iâ€™ve got no work. No girlfriend. I live with my mum who wonâ€™t even let me do anything. She wonâ€™t even let me keep my dadâ€™s watch that Joe gave me.”

Sarah later spoke to Noah and asked if he definitely wants to go, reminding him heâ€™ll be without family and friends. Following this, Charity tried another tact and told Noah she was just being selfish and will accept his decision.Â

The displays of love clearly worked as Noah went to see Joe and told him he no longer wanted the job.

To say Joe was not happy would be an understatement. And after Noah said, “Anyone can do that job. Iâ€™m nothing special,” Joe said something that hinted at an ulterior motive.Â “You are Noah, youâ€™re the one,” he said.

He then got aggressive and told Noah he had to sign the contract, before shouting: “Youâ€™ve got no idea what youâ€™ve done.”

Belle made an important step in Emmerdale tonight

Leyla noticed that Belle has been quiet. Belle Dingle revealed that it was coming up to her one year anniversary with Tom. Although it means Belle can divorce him, she admitted to feeling anxious because Tom will fight her on it. “I know he will, ’cause he can never make anything easy for me. Iâ€™m dreading dealing with it,” she said.

After a positive girly lunch, Belle returned home and spoke to Lydia about the anniversary. With a smile on her face she said she does have something to celebrate about the anniversary: “Iâ€™ve called a lawyer. This is step one of divorcing Tom.” Go, Belle.

What happened this week in Emmerdale: April’s back, Joe’s got our attention and Ross is wasted

It was another bleak week in Emmerdale as April came home after running away on Christmas Day and giving birth to a stillborn baby, but what else happened in Emmerdale this week?

There were more developments in the Joe Tate story, Leyla admitted she was lonely, and the knowledge of next week’s limo crash left us wondering who’s for the chop…

Here’s what we thought of it all in this week’s Emmerdale review.

What happened in Emmerdale this week: April’s back!

Of course the big story this week was April. In a standalone episode we saw the troubled teen resort to sleeping in a squat, with her new friends Bex and Dylan.

We watched poor Bex get stabbed and then die, and watched the harsh reality of Dylan surviving on the streets.

And then in heartbreaking scenes, pregnant April gave birth to a stillborn baby and nearly died in the process.

It was a lot. Actress Amelia Flanagan, who’s played April since she was five, held the whole episode together brilliantly.

She’s so talented and she made April’s torment very believable.

Why did she stay away?

We didn’t love it all, though, great as it was. Mostly because we kept wondering why April didn’t just go home!

Even new friend Dylan pointed out that April had a home and a family who were looking for her.

Obviously Rhona and Marlon arenâ€™t perfect and things haven’t been easy, but they love her. She’s got Bob, and Mary, and Ross, and loads of people looking out for her.

We know that had she told any one of them that she was pregnant, they would have (eventually!) all stepped up to support her.

And while not knowing the real circumstances of mum Donna’s death isn’t ideal, it didn’t feel huge enough for her to put herself through that ordeal.

Though, saying all that Marlon is extremely annoying. So perhaps April had her reasons.

Main character Marlon

As we were watching this week’s eps, it struck us that April has proper ‘main character energy’, managing to make everything about her and her ordeal. Somehow she even managed to make Becca’s death about her, wailing that it was her fault (it clearly wasn’t).

And we reckon we know where she gets it from â€“ her dad Marlon.

April hadn’t been home more than a matter of hours before he was whinging that she’d told Ross about the baby when he’d agreed they weren’t telling anyone, and grumbling that he’d let her down… It’s not always about you, Marlon.

Is Ross wasted?

Speaking of Ross, we still love his friendship with April. But we can’t help thinking he needs more. We’re pleased to see him back in the village, but he’s wasted just being someone for April to moan to.

And now Joe Tate’s back too, it seems even more disappointing that Debbie Dingle isn’t! We’d love to see her â€“ and Jack â€“ back in the village. Recast if necessary, but bring her back!

What’s Joe got planned for Noah?

Debbie was, of course, legendary for being a misery guts â€“ just like Dawn. So it seems Joe’s got a type!

We’re really enjoying Joe’s return. It feels like it’s been paced just right, with his secrets being drip-fed to us perfectly.

We were already intrigued about what he was up to, when we discovered Kim didn’t trust him either and now Charity’s got Kim’s laptop and we’re all in. Loving the mystery!

Though we’re genuinely concerned about what he’s got planned for Noah and we’re not convinced this job in Dubai really exists…

Worries about naive Noah aside, we also loved Joe’s sarky comment about Dawn’s hoodie.

And the little glimpse into Charity and Ryan’s relationship â€“ they’re a good pairing and we’d like to see more.

Emmerdale review: Is Billy doomed?

One thing we were wondering was whether Billy could be the one to die in the limo crash next week. Him dying would make things both better and worse for Dawn â€“ which is the best kind of plot complication.

What else happened in Emmerdale this week?

Our favourite soap friendships are the unlikely ones â€“ Kim and Zak Dingle for example. Or Ross and April. So we’re really keen on Ruby and Aaron’s blossoming friendship. They’re supporting one another and we’re here for it.

Meanwhile our top fave Leyla is lonely and having a rotten time of it and we’re not happy.

She’s such a delight, and we’re really nervous she might die a sad lonely death in the limo crash.

So we’re crossing our fingers and hoping instead she could meet a handsome firefighter/paramedic/doctor as a result of all the drama instead, be whisked off her feet and spend the rest of her days in romantic bliss.

And finally we need to take a moment to appreciate the absolute cuteness of little Thomas.

Bertie Brotherton, who plays the toddler, clearly adores James Hooton, who plays Sam â€“ those giggles were definitely real.

But also Sam’s long convoluted description of a cartoon with a sneaky mouse and a silly cat? It’s Tom and Jerry, Sam. That’s the name of the cartoon. We reckon Thomas could have told you that!

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: April returned home as Charity learned about Dawn and Joe’s affair

April Windsor returned home to her family in Emmerdale tonight – and quickly became overwhelmed by Marlon and Rhona’s pestering. Elsewhere, Joe and Dawn set some ground rules for their affair, unaware that Charity was listening in on the laptop she stole from Kim.

Elsewhere, Leyla opened up to Suzy and Jacob about her recent spate of loneliness.

April came home on Emmerdale tonight

April’s refusal to come home, it turns out, had come to nothing. She and Marlon arrived back in the village bright and early, where she was greeted by Rhona Leo and Mary.

It wasn’t long before half the village (well, Belle and Suzy) came blustering over to check in. From across the street, Ross wisely kept his distance, offering an amicable wave instead.

As the family sat around the kitchen table, they continued to overwhelm poor April, trying to force toast and Chinese takeaway upon her, while Leo presented her with an unopened Christmas gift – a snow globe.

Clearly overwhelmed (just give the girl some space!) she fled… and who can blame her. Feeling useless, Marlon sought advice from Bob, who told him that he needed to take control of the situation and give his daughter a little reassurance. Meanwhile, with April still not home, Rhona worried that she’d run away again.

Ross found April at her mother’s grave. He apologised for pushing her away, and she shared the news that she’d been pregnant and had lost the baby – a little girl. She told him the father had been a random at a party, and he reassured her that, while what happened was awful, she was anything but. All that off their chest, the pair shared a hug.

Back at home, Marlon and Rhona were about to launch a search party when April returned, with Ross in tow. As she retreated to her room, an upset Marlon bleated about his disappointment that she’d opened up to Ross instead of him. Just give her some space, man!

Joe flirted with a regretful Dawn, who was insistent that their thing could never happen again. He promised to back off, but or how long? With Kim’s laptop still missing, Dawn accused Lucas of having taken it. Packing Billy off to look for the missing computer, she pondered texting Joe.

That evening, Dawn had changed her mind again, and she laid forth the rules for their affair – no strings attached fun, and family are off limits. That said, they sloped off to bed together.

Charity learned about Joe and Dawn

Charity was attempting to hack the stolen laptop when Noah arose, nursing a hangover. She wasted little time in trying to talk him out of his big move again – there’s no Yorkshire puddings in Dubai! – but Noah was having none of it.

Determined to find out what Joe’s up to, she enlisted Ryan’s help in hacking the laptop – which she was convinced was Joe’s, who she (correctly) believed had been behind Noah’s bad reviews.

Computer whiz Ryan succeeded in opening the computer. Realising that it was Kim’s laptop and not Joe’s, they decided to have a snoop anyway. Happening across Kim’s file on Joe, they listened in on a series of boring business calls until Charity struck gold – activating the bug’s live stream, she began listening in on Dawn and Joe, learning about their affair.

Leyla opened up on Emmerdale tonight

Belle and Suzy bragged about how many raffle tickets for the limousine prize draw they’d sold, but Leyla was in a sulk. Her mood continued all day, until she admitted to Suzy and Jacob that she’s been feeling lonely.

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: April opened up to Marlon as Aaron and Ruby shared a heart-to-heart

In Emmerdale tonight, Marlon Dingle finally got the answers he’d been searching for as April began to open up (Thursday, February 6). April is in hospital recovering from complications surrounding her pregnancy – which tragically resulted in a stillbirth earlier this week.

As Marlon sat at his daughter’s bedside, she filled him in on what had happened to her, who the father was… and her plans for the coming weeks. Can Marlon continue to support troubled April?

Elsewhere, Charity struck gold as she dug for dirt on Joe, and Aaron opened his heart up to Ruby. But can she do the same for Caleb?

Meanwhile, news of April began to spread, and Leyla faced tough questions from Jacob.

April opened up to Marlon on Emmerdale tonight

As April recovered in hospital, she began to open up to her dad. Marlon‘s first questions were about the pregnancyÂ – why didn’t she tell her parents? Did she even know?

She revealed how she’d been on the verge of telling them before finding out how her mum had died. Feeling as though she’d been lied to her whole life, why not a secret of her own?

Marlon told her that the police had looked into her social media accounts and knew she’d been taking drugs. She told him how she felt invisible in her own home; that she’d taken a background to Leo and Ivy and Rhona and his own stroke.

As she filled him in on the last month, she revealed how Becca had been stabbed while trying to get April’s purse back. Putting two and two together, Marlon realised that Becca had been the girl he’d identified. And the father of the baby?

It was then that April grew cold, insisting that he was just ‘a random lad at a party,’ and that she didn’t even know his name. She then asked what had happened to the baby. Accusing him of being glad that there was no longer a baby, she stressed that she wouldn’t be coming home.

April had a visitor

Later, Rhona snuck in as April slept, and the pair shared an emotional reunion. As she assured April that everything would be okay, Dylan watched through the window.

He was gone by the time Marlon returned. As the worried parents swapped notes, Marlon fretted that the daughter he once new was now gone forever.

Charity dug for dirt

With Joe and Dawn upstairs, Charity snooped around Home Farm. Panicking as Kim returned, she grabbed the closest thing to hand – a laptop – and snuck back out.

Aaron and Ruby shared a heart-to-heart

Aaron paid a visit to Ruby, hoping to talk things out. Ruby – who was looking glamorous swigging cocktails alone at home – assured him that he had no reason to feel guilty, and should stop tormenting himself.

As they shot the breeze, Aaron opened up over his self-harm, telling her how the guilt of supposedly ‘killing’ Anthony had brought him to the verge of almost doing so again. He was concerned for her – that she was bottling up her own trauma and not talking to Caleb.

She admitted that she found it tough, and wished that Caleb was still in the dark about Anthony’s abuse. She spoke of how she’d pushed Steph away as a child and now felt rejected by Caleb, who pities her.

It was then that Caleb returned home. As Aaron left, Caleb entreated her to talk to him – a tone of voice she didn’t appreciate. He reassured her that he didn’t see her as a victim; that he loved her now more than ever.

Also on Emmerdale tonight…

Back in the Woolpack, Mary and Bob shared the gossip that April had been found, safe and sound. Nobody had bothered to tell Ross though, who walked in to be the recipient of good news for once.

Over at the Dingles, Gabby and Vinny snuck off for some alone time. Can she divert herself from naughty thoughts of Joe?

Lonely Leyla was at a loose end once more, with Jacob already having made lunch plans. He continued to press her on the restaurant she supposedly went to with Suzy, resulting in another flurry of excuses. Will Jacob cotton on to his mum’s loneliness?

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Marlon was reunited with April as scheming Joe played games with Dawn and Noah

Marlon and Rhona were finally reunited with missing April Windsor in Emmerdale tonight. Arriving at the hospital to find her being rushed into surgery, Marlon was shocked to learn that his daughter had been pregnant when she disappeared – and suffered a stillbirth.

Meanwhile, as he continued to manipulate Noah, Joe flirted with Gabby and hooked up with Dawn again.

And, as she continued to struggle with her loneliness, Leyla struck on a bright idea. Elsewhere, Bob learned about April, and guilty parties tried to bottle up their feelings.

Marlon was reunited with April in Emmerdale tonight

Following the news that April had been found, PC Swirling rushed Rhona and Marlon to the hospital. They learned in no short order that April had been admitted to Obstetrics, having suffered a post-partum hemorrhage – she’d just given birth, and the baby was stillborn.

A doctor filled them in on what had happened, telling them that April had been found on a park bench after giving birth in a local gym. She’d been hemorrhaging for a while and required a blood transfusion.

Marlon and Rhona watched in horror as she was rushed into the operating room for another DNC (dilation and curettage to those not in the know – which doesn’t include Rhona, as she rudely snapped at one of the doctors).

The operation was a success, and April stabilised. Marlon was desperate to see his daughter, but the doctors stressed the importance of giving her time.

Walking into her room to find April recovering in bed, Marlon finally reunited with his daughter. “We don’t have to talk just yet,” he told his daughter, as he refused to stop talking.

Dawn grew jealous as Joe flirted with Gabby

At Home Farm, Kim listened in to Joe’s recent Siri searches (the temperature in Dubai, advice on a good peanut butter and jam bagel). She was interrupted by Gabby, who had also been thinking about hunky Joe. As Kim attempted to warn her off, in strolled Dawn and then Sam (the Home Farm drawing room is busier than Euston Station this morning!) who informed her that one of the horses wasn’t feeling too hot.

Meanwhile, taking note that Gabby had eyes for Joe, Dawn took keen interest. Is that a hint of jealousy we detect?

Joe continued to make Dawn jealous by flirting with Gabby throughout the day. As he and Dawn swapped barbs on the stairs, it wasn’t long before the pair ended up in each other’s arms.

Meanwhile, at the Dingles’, it was clear that Gabby was having second thoughts about her man. Settling down for dinner with Vinny, Sam, Lydia and Mandy, the chaotic, farty scene was a far cry from glamourous Home Farm with suave Joe.

Back at Home Farm, Dawn immediately had regrets over cheating on Billy again… before they leaned in for another kiss and headed to bed for round two.

Charity stewed as Noah planned his next move

In The Woolpack, Noah despaired as he continued to lose customers. Joe’s poison pen letters have been having the desired effect, and Noah’s business is suffering.

“People can be vindictive,” said Joe as he consoled his half-brother. Singing the praises of an electrician’s salary in Dubai, Joe continued to lay the seeds for his big plan. Listening in, Charity was alarmed.

She was having none of Noah’s move to Dubai – and her attempt to deter her son only seemed to have the opposite effect.

Later, as Joe and Dawn slunk off to bed together, Charity snuck into Home Farm. But what will she find?

Leyla’s bright idea

In the shop, Pollard shamed Leyla for buying a frozen lasagna for one. As she lied about her date with Suzy, Pollard began to twig that she’s feeling more lonely than she’s letting on.

At work, Leyla floated the idea of Valentine’s prize draw with Suzy and Belle. Said prize? A luxury limousine ride…

John worried for Aaron’s mental well-being as he beat seven shades out of a steak. He tried to encourage him to open up, but stubborn Aaron was having none of it for now. Is Aaron bottling up something terrible?

Meanwhile, Ruby told Caleb that she was headed out for a spot of late-night shopping. He was worried about her well-being, but she too is determined to put on a brave front.

Elsewhere, Mary told Leo that he needed to apologise for his behaviour at school. Sending him off to grab some crisps as Bob arrived, she informed him of April’s situation.

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: April’s story was revealed…. including pregnancy, tragedy and peril

Missing April Windsor‘s whereabouts were finally revealed on Emmerdale tonight. Last night, Marlon and Rhona learned that the police had successfully found April. However, the look on PC Swirling’s face made it clear that it wouldn’t be good news.

Tonight’s harrowing flashback episode showed what had become of the teenager since walking out on her family – from sleeping on the cold streets of Leeds to the bombshell news that she’s pregnant. And, as April attempted to navigate life on the streets, she only had more pain and heartbreak in store.

April found herself sleeping rough on Emmerdale tonight

Tonight’s episode picked up from where we last saw April. It was Christmas Day 2024, and she climbed into the back of a taxi to Leeds. With no room at the inn (or her friends’ houses) she was dropped off at a dodgy-looking hotel, where the woman at the desk charged her Â£85 for the pleasure of a grotty room.

The next day, April attempted to call all of her pals in search of a place to stay. Ultimately unsuccessful and roaming the streets, her money dwindled and she found herself sleeping rough on the streets.

After a run-in with two drunk men, she sought refuge in a homeless camp. When a seemingly kind-looking older man offered her a cup of soup, April wisely refused – but was about to take him up on his offer of a bed when a younger man named Dylan intercepted, saving her from the local predator.

Sending the old perv packing, Dylan found her a relatively safe place to stay in the park – and then tried to charge her for it. However, sensing that April was vulnerable and out of her depth, he advised her to go home.

When she started vomiting, Dylan took pity, and brought April back to his own-lodgings, a run-down old house where he sheltered with a woman named Bex and another, older, homeless man.

A week later (New Year’s Eve, to be precise) and April was still there, her friends’ promises of a room having come to naught. It was then revealed that April had been hiding another secret from her family – she’s pregnant.

While begging for change, April’s cup was stolen, and Bex gave chase. April followed, only to find that Bex had been stabbed and was bleeding out on the pavement. Back at the house, she learned that Bex had died of her injuries.

As they grieved the loss of their friend, a heartbroken Dylan encouraged April to go home to her family. But she seemed convinced that Rhona and Marlon would neither understand nor forgive her, and was adamant that she’d not be returning home.

While begging, April found herself on the receiving end of an older lady’s sharp tongue as she questioned the expensive trainers April was wearing. Hungry and without money, she resorted to stealing from a nearby cafe.

Back at their place, she and Dylan examined one of Marlon‘s posters. And she was less than happy with the picture her dad had chosen. Once again, she reiterated that she wouldn’t be going home. So, fearing for her safety, Dylan handed her a switchblade.

It was then that April felt the baby kick. Time was running out, but was April in any place to safely give birth?

April’s tragedy in Emmerdale tonight

Later, April spotted Dylan at a local ‘perv’ hotspot, taking money from a mystery figure in a car. He attempted to give her the cash for somewhere to stay, but April refused.

And, as she returned back to their shelter, she hid as police raided the place and dragged Dylan away. Sneaking out and suffering from agonising pain, she took place in the bathroom of a gym – where she gave birth to a stillborn infant.

Passed out on a park bench, alone and delirious with pain, April seemed no closer to home as the episode ended. What’s next for April – and will she ever return safely to Marlon and Rhona?

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Caleb confronted Cain over sleeping with Ruby and April was found

A suspicious Caleb Dingle confronted Cain over his alleged affair with Ruby on Emmerdale tonight. Elsewhere, a battered and bruised Marlon hit an all-new low in his search for April. However, a visit from PC Swirling brought some shocking news – April has been found! But in what state is she in?

Elsewhere, manipulative Joe played games with Dawn and Noah, and Cain got to work tidying up his family’s mess.

Caleb demanded answers in Emmerdale tonight

A stressed-out Moira struggled with the breakfast routine with the kids until Cain stepped in to help. Enjoy that toast, Cain, it’s the last bit of normalcy you’ll have for a while.

Later, things were frosty between Caleb and Chas – and the mood remained tense when Cain arrived, with a grumpy Chas telling him to focus on Moira. Sensing that something was amiss between the pair, he questioned Caleb later.

Backed into a corner, Caleb told him about the work in the garage – and asked him to play along. As Cain demanded to know what was going on, Caleb finally dropped the question which had been playing on his mind since confronting Anthony: “did you sleep with my wife?”

Cain denied it all, of course. Pushing to know where he’d gotten such a story from, Caleb admitted that it had come from Anthony. It was then that the sorry truth came out. He told Cain that Ruby had killed her father and, after a promise that the pair would always have each other’s back, they hugged it out.

In the pub, a peeved Manpreet confronted Cain over his late-night garage noises. He then stormed over to see Aaron and Chas, tearing them a new one for their carelessness in disposing of the car.

Afterwards, Cain paid a visit to the police station, informing them that he had some information on Anthony’s whereabouts. Whatever he said clearly did the job – with the police closing the investigation after learning that Anthony had been spotted the day after Laurel’s attack.

Ross tried to get through to Marlon

Rhona and her mum worried about Marlon. He’d been out all night searching for April, and Ross seemed none the wiser. He was clearly covering for Marlon and Leo wasn’t buying it – throwing a shoe at Ross (who throws a shoe?)

The family aren’t coping well, and Mary was starting to worry about the affect Marlon’s quest was having on Rhona and the kids. Where was Marlon amidst all of this? Hiding behind a hedge.

The coast seemingly clear, he returned home – sporting a fresh black eye. Having spotted Marlon skulking home, Ross followed, demanding to know what had happened.

Following a girl he momentarily thought might have been April, Marlon scored a black eye for his trouble. Ross urged Marlon to ease off and take care of his family.

For a moment, it looked like he’d gotten through to Marlon – but succeeded only in getting himself a job as Marlon’s driver.

April has been found!

The family trouble kept coming as Rhona learn that Leo had gotten in trouble at school for fighting with a schoolmate. The next morning, an exhausted-looking Marlon revealed he’d been out all night againÂ – alone.

Rhona and Marlon shared a heart-to-heart as he sat despondently in April’s bedroom. Needless to say, he didn’t take it well when she suggested he step back from the search a little for Leo and Ivy’s sake.

Storming off, he paid a visit to Donna’s grave. After brushing off Charles, Marlon was given food for thought from a concerned Paddy. At the surgery, he apologised to Rhona for his behaviour.

Answers were at hand when PC Swirling arrived at the family home with news on April. She’s been found, but the look on PC Swirling’s face suggests that her story won’t be a happy one.

Joe was playing games

Things were tense between Joe and Dawn. He tried to win her over by bragging about how he was off the painkillers and had just attended his first meeting.

Picking up on the pair’s heavy flirting, Kim warned Joe away from Dawn. Hoping to throw her off the scent, he told her about his painkiller addiction.

Later, he set up a cinema date with Noah. Hanging up on his half-brother, he then logged onto Noah’s trader page and left him a 1-star review for his services as an electrician. “LEFT THE JOB HALF DONE. GOT NASTY WHEN I COMPLAINED. UNSAFE AND AGGRESSIVE. AVOID,” Joe wrote in his finest all-caps.

He was all ears as Noah asked his advice in the Hide. Back at home (farm) his flirting with Dawn continued. Kim wasn’t the only one to pick up on the vibes between the pair – Gabby’s on to them too.

Also on Emmerdale tonight…

Sarah was dressed up to the nines for a date with Jacob. She was left disappointed when he blew her off for his duties at the hospital. Instead, she swung by the hospital to show Jake what he was missing.

Belle swung by to see Leyla and Suzy on Emmerdale – and decided that the time’s right for her to come back to work. Between Suzy’s lunch plans and her son’s new romance, Leyla is clearly feeling lonely.
