Emmerdale star Dean Andrews breaks silence over Will exit and confirms his character’s real fate

Emmerdale fans have shared their suspicions over Will Taylor’s sudden death, with many convinced he could still be alive. But now actor Dean Andrews has set the record straight.

Will passed away on Christmas Day after suffering a heart attack at Home Farm. He had been in the midst of a row with wife Kim Tate when he suddenly collapsed.

Despite him being pronounced dead, Emmerdale fans have shared theories involving Will faking his own death.

    Will dies in Emmerdale

On Christmas Day, Will suffered a fatal heart attack in surprise Emmerdale scenes. He had been rowing with estranged wife Kim after his plan to destroy her came to light.

Kim had confronted her husband over the plot, leading to Will begging her for forgiveness. Kim then went on to leave but Will collapsed, clutching his chest in the process.

After Kim realised Will wasn’t in a good way, she and Joe rang for an ambulance. While they waited, Kim performed CPR on her husband as he began to lose consciousness.

Unfortunately Will couldn’t be saved and paramedics pronounced him dead when they arrived.

Emmerdale fans think Will isn’t dead

Despite Will being declared dead by medics, many Emmerdale fans were unconvinced he had actually passed away. Taking to social media, soap viewers shared their thoughts on Will’s sudden death.

One person commented: “I could be reading to much into this but @deanoandrews hasn’t posted a farewell to the show like Daisy did,” while another said: “I still don’t think he is dead.”

Others shared their theories about how Will’s death could be a set-up. A fan said: “It’s a set up he’s not dead I think! Ambulance drivers were actors.” Elsewhere, somebody else said: “But were they ‘real’ ambulance people? I think the whole thing is a set-up and will is still alive.”

    Dean Andrews speaks out

Following fans’ uncertainty over Will’s passing, actor Dean Andrews has finally spoken out on his departure. He broke his silence on New Year’s Eve, after spotting the various theories about Will being alive.

In a video shared to Instagram, he addressed Emmerdale fans and confirmed he had left the soap for good.

“I just wanted to come on to thank everybody who has sent messages regarding my departure from Emmerdale,” Dean said. “There was a little conjecture as to whether Will was dead. He’s dead. He’s gone.”

Furthermore, Dean clarified when he filmed his final scenes and thanked his co-stars. The actor added: “I’ve been left for around seven or eight weeks and I’ve been there for about five and a half years.”

“And in that five and a half years I’ve worked with some really lovely people, amazing crew and my little family on Emmerdale along the way, have always been lovely to work with,” he said.

  • Emmerdale favourite trapped under the ice in flashforward scenes – 3 theories on who dies

Emmerdale favourite trapped under the ice in flashforward scenes – 3 theories on who dies

Emmerdale has revealed a flashforward that shows one character will find themselves in grave danger in the New Year. The soap teased five flashforwards to give fans a look at what they can expect in 2025.

While one teaser shows Cain standing by a grave and another sees Mackenzie running through a wooded area, there’s one flashforward which has really got fans talking.

The haunting clip shows someone trapped under a frozen lake, with just their hand visible. Fans have eagerly started to guess the identity of the person, with many theories being shared.

Here’s three possible ideas about who could be trapped in the lake in Emmerdale’s flashforwards…

3 theories on who could die after Emmerdale flashforward

    1. Could Dawn be involved?

Some Emmerdale fans have suggested Dawn could find herself in icy waters next year. Taking to social media, soap fans wondered if she is the person in the lake.

“We hope it’s not Dawn,” one person wrote, while a second added: “That best not be Dawn in that lake.”

However, someone else suggested that Dawn could be involved in the storyline but is not the character actually in the lake. One fan commented: “That looks like a male hand… Dawn looks very suspicious…”

    2. Will Leyla meet an icy end?

Following the reports that Leyla will exit Emmerdale in January, many fans have predicted she will find herself trapped in the lake as part of her departure storyline.

“Well the hand under the ice will likely be Leyla’s since it’s confirmed that she’s getting killed off in a frozen lake stunt in January but the other ones look interesting,” one person pointed out on social media.

Another fan said: “Am sure that’s Leyla in the water,” while a third commented: “Leyla the one in the ice? #Emmerdale.” A fourth said: “I think Leyla is in that water then she dies.”

    3. Anthony to die?

Meanwhile, a third theory shared by fans involves newcomer Anthony Fox, the father of Ruby Fox-Milligan. Anthony hasn’t made the best first impression in the village, and it’s safe to say Ruby isn’t his biggest fan.

Some fans have shared their hopes of Anthony meeting a grizzly end sooner rather than later. Taking to social media, one person said: “That banging on the ice wasn’t deeply disturbing at all… I’m hoping though it’s Ruby’s dad.. must be a good actor he makes my skin crawl through the TV screen.”

A second agreed, responding: “Yes!!! Hope it is him!!!!”

  • Emmerdale teases five flashforwards with Cain’s tears over tragic death leaving fans very worried for Moira and Caleb

Emmerdale teases five flashforwards with Cain’s tears over tragic death leaving fans very worried for Moira and Caleb

Emmerdale fans have been left fearing for both Moira and Caleb’s lives following the release of five flashforward clips ahead of 2025. A new trailer has been released by the soap and will be played at the end of tonight’s episode (Tuesday December 31) on ITV.

One of the teasers shows Cain in mourning while standing beside a grave. The clip has left fans wondering which character is set to lose their life in 2025.

Here’s everything you need to know about Emmerdale’s new flashforward teasers…

In one of Emmerdale’s flashforwards, Cain can be seen looking downcast as he stands over a grave. The plot is covered in flowers, including white roses. He looks to have attended a funeral, as he’s dressed in a full suit and long overcoat.

It remains to be seen who the grave belongs to, but with Cain’s wife Moira having been unwell, fans have begun wondering if there’s tragedy to come for the couple.

However, another flashforward scene shows Cain’s half-brother Caleb lying in hospital, hooked up to various machines. Could Cain be standing at Caleb’s grave?

Fans fear for Moira and Caleb

Emmerdale fans have started to share their theories following the release of the five flashforward teasers. Having seen Cain looking upset while visiting a grave, many soap fans have started to wonder if Moira’s life is in danger.

“Omg who’s is the grave Cain is stood near???? It better not be Moira!” one person wrote on social media, while a second said: “That grave had better not be Moira’s”.

A third Emmerdale fan agreed, commenting: “Not Moira or I will never forgive you.”

However, some had other theories. Many have presumed Caleb could be in trouble after a flashforward showed him lying in hospital.

“Does Caleb die?! Is that the grave Cain’s standing over?!” one fan asked. Another said: “I can’t cope if anything happens to Caleb!”

    Emmerdale’s five flashforwards

In Emmerdale’s other three flashforward clips there was also plenty of drama unfolding.

In one scene, Mack could be seen bolting through a wooded area as if he was being chased. Nobody else could be seen in the teaser.

Another flashforward showed what looked like a body being thrown into a lake. While the final clip teased a death, as a hand could be seen beneath a frozen lake, but it was not revealed which character had fallen into the icy waters.

  • Dream plots for Emmerdale in 2025: Justice for Ruby, a Cain exit and more DS Foy

Dream plots for Emmerdale in 2025: Justice for Ruby, a Cain exit and more DS Foy

It’s a new year in Emmerdale and with the end of this year’s biggest storyline – Belle’s abusive marriage to Tom King – it feels like there’s a vacancy for some new plots.

So we sat down and had a think about what we want to see happening in the village in this coming year.

And here’s what we came up with for Emmerdale in 2025.

Jamie is shocked his mum is dead
    Bring back Jamie! (Credit: ITV)

    The return of the Tates

When Tina first came back (where is she, by the way? Is that all done and dusted now?) there were rumours online that Vinny could turn out to be Frank Tate’s son.

We’re old enough to remember how disgusted Tina was when Frank made his feelings for her obvious. But putting that aside for a minute, we are here for this theory.

We’d love Vinny to be both Dingle and Tate, and it would pave the way for Vinny and Gabby to be the new lord and lady of Home Farm.

Plus it would mean the whole drama over Tina’s return wasn’t totally pointless after all.

And if it’s Tates we’re talking, then why not go the whole hog? We want more of them. Bring back Joe! Jamie! Jean! Any other long-lost family members we might have forgotten.

Dawn looking at Ross on Emmerdale
Ross and Dawn share a history (Credit: ITV)

Emmerdale in 2025: Romance for Ross and Dawn

Dawn and Billy bore us stupid. Dawn is whiny, Billy’s self-centred and frankly they’re not doing it for us. But Ross and Dawn, on the other hand… There is still a spark between these former lovers and we think a bit of flirtation could be just the thing to bring the old Dawn back.

Fans want DS Foy to stay - but worry he will turn evil
    We want Foy! (Credit: ITV)

    DS Foy

We’re not letting this one drop. We love DS Foy. We love him. And we think he absolutely belongs in the village. AND we’ve got an idea of what he could do once he’s moved in…

Emmerdale's Leyla with hand on her hip
Leyla’s death looks to be looming but we can’t lose her! (Credit: ITV)

Leyla to stay (and give her a romance?)

We are not big fans of the rumours that Leyla is being killed off. There’s definitely a place for her cutting comments and swishy hair in the village. But we totally agree that she’s not been used properly of late. So, we had an idea. Who’s the ideal romantic partner for lovely Leyla? DS blooming Foy, that’s who!

Ruby hyperventilating outside on Emmerdale (Credit: ITV/Composite: EI)
We want justice for Ruby (Credit: ITV/Composite: EI)

Emmerdale in 2025: Justice for Ruby

Ruby’s heartbreaking story has only just started, and it’s definitely got us gripped. It’s dark, though – really dark. And we’re desperately hoping that Steph doesn’t turn out to be Anthony’s child because that’s almost too much to handle – for us, as well as Steph and Ruby.

What we do want, though, is for Ruby to get justice. We want Anthony to pay for the hurt he did her, and for her family to rally round (we’re not holding our breath for that one, though – Caleb is supremely selfish and Steph seems to be a chip off the old block). Fingers crossed for retribution in 2025.

Cain looking shocked outside the garage on Emmerdale
Take a break, Cain (Credit: ITV)

    A break from Cain

We have long been Cain fans, sticking with him through the bad times (seducing Jasmine, threatening teenage Amy when she was pregnant, the Harriet years…) but we think we might have had enough. His recent behaviour with Moira’s brain tumour, his weird cheating with Ruby and then him moping around, have all pushed us over the edge.

Maybe he could go and hang out with Nate in Shetland for a few months, and come back rested, and a new man. Ooh, and if he wanted to pop into Aberdeen on the way home and bring Debbie back with him, that would be fine too.

    A new family or two

It’s always been a bit of a joke that everyone in Emmerdale is related to everyone else, but it really is getting beyond a joke now. We’d love to see a whole new family arrive, like the Tates and the Windsors did back in the 1990s, or the Kings in the noughties.

Emmerdale reveals five huge flashforwards for 2025 including secrets imploding and disaster for villagers

With 2025 about to be welcomed in by villagers, Emmerdale is set to air a series of flashforwards for the year ahead.

And, it looks as though not everybody will have a happy 2025 but no matter what… it will certainly be a year to remember.

A new promo has now been released that teases what’s around the corner for the villagers. Eek!

    Emmerdale releases 2025 flashforward promo

Tomorrow, on New Year’s Eve (Tuesday, December 31st), Emmerdale will air five flashforwards that will tease upcoming storylines for 2025.

They’re set to be rather cryptic scenes, with the audience left anticipating what’s around the corner. Oohhhhh.

Tonight (Monday, December 30th), the soap has released a promo that is bound to have viewers excited for the upcoming flashforwards.

Producer for the ITV soap, Laura Shaw teased: “The flash forwards will tease several storylines that will reveal a sneak peak of what’s to come across 2025. As our villagers toast the New Year, a glimpse into each of their futures will be revealed. As the fate of those depicted hangs in the balance, the only thing for certain is it’s going to be an explosive year in Emmerdale.”

What to expect from Emmerdale in 2025

In 2025, Ruby’s feeling more and more uncomfortable about abusive dad Anthony’s presence in her life, especially now that he knows all about her fling with Cain.

She then confides in Chas that Caleb might not be Steph’s biological father. Ouch.

Elsewhere, tensions are high for Rhona and Marlon as they try to track down missing daughter April. But, will they receive any answers? We hope so!

We also know that Will Taylor has just died, and it’s fair to say that Dawn’s not coping well. After initially suspecting foul play from Joe Tate, Dawn turns her attention towards Kim. But, she then makes some risky decisions that could backfire on her… Oh, Dawn!

And, in a rather vague clue, a fun night out turns disatrous and has devastating consequences that will impact the village forever. Scary stuff. But, who will be involved?

Wendy Posner set to leave the Dales as Susan Cookson character is ‘axed,’ reports claim

Emmerdale star Susan Cookson is set to leave her role as Wendy Posner, new reports have claimed.

According to The Sun,  the star was axed from the soap rather than choosing to leave, and has already filmed her final scenes.

Wendy was first introduced to the soap in 2019 as the mother of Victoria’s rapist, Lee Posner, and his brother Luke. Her Emmerdale journey looks to have come to an end after just over five years.

Susan Cookson ‘devastated’ at Emmerdale exit

A source told The Sun: “Susan was devastated at the decision. She loves the show and loves being part of it.

“She’s really well liked in the cast but unfortunately budget cuts mean hard decisions need to be made and that resulted in Susan being one of a number of cast leaving.”

The source added that the character of Wendy isn’t ‘inspiring a lot of story’ any more, so ultimately they feel her time is up.

However, the door will be left open for Susan to return as Wendy. With Wendy having a grandson in the village, she would certainly have a reason to visit.

    Wendy Posner in Emmerdale

She arrived in the Dales in 2019 to confront Victoria Sugden, who had accused her son Lee of rape. Wendy accused Victoria of lying, not willing to believe that her son was capable of such a thing

Following Lee’s death, thought to be at the hands of Robert Sugden, Wendy eventually accepted that Victoria was telling the truth.

In 2021, Wendy’s other son Luke confessed to her that before Robert attacked Lee, he himself had also attacked Lee. Wendy was torn, knowing Luke could be the real culprit. But ultimately, Robert still remains behind bars.

Wendy begun working at the local surgery and became settled in the village. She started a relationship with Bob Hope, but they split following her affair with Dr Liam.

What is happening in Emmerdale this week?

In Emmerdale this week, the search for April continues and the police search her home looking for clues as to her whereabouts. One thing they find is contraceptive pills, which neither Marlon nor Rhona knew she was taking.

As April’s disappearance takes its toll, Marlon and Rhona are soon at each other’s throats.

Elsewhere, Emmerdale will air a special standalone episode for Jacob Gallagher‘s first day in A&E. However, things don’t quite go to plan and Jacob soon feels under pressure.

When a stab victim is admitted to the hospital, Jacob recognises the purse as belonging to April and he decides to call Marlon. His boss is furious with his conduct, but this doesn’t prevent Marlon and Rhona from turning up at the hospital and begging for news. Has April been found?

Who’s leaving Emmerdale? A complete guide to exits, returns and newcomers to the Dales

The Emmerdale cast changes regularly, but who’s leaving Emmerdale next? The village is always busy with comings and goings, and this year is proving to be no different! We’ve recently said goodbye to Nate Robinson, and also waved off Samson Dingle, Suni Sharma, Nicky Miligan and Ethan Anderson this year.

And we’ve welcomed back Ross Barton!

And there is more drama to come in the shape of exits and entrances. Here’s the lowdown on who we’re going to be meeting and who’s saying farewell to the Dales.

    Who’s leaving Emmerdale?

    Emmerdale's Will serious
Will died at Christmas (Credit: ITV)

Will Taylor was the most recent exit to air on-screen as he shocked the nation with his death this Christmas.

On Christmas Day, Will and Kim held a vow renewal before Joe Tate rocked up and told Kim all about Will’s plan to get revenge on her. It turned out that whilst Will thought that Joe (or Jamie as he mistakenly thought) was on his side, he’d been double-crossed.

The stress (or so we think) got too much for Will and he ended up collapsing to the ground and bringing the Home Farm Christmas tree down with him.

He then suffered a heart attack but Kim mistook this for a panic attack and failed to help him, instead powdering her nose and relishing in his suffering.

It was only when Joe Tate turned up and recognised the signs of a heart attack that Kim sprung into action. But, it was too late and Will passed away. Brutal.

    Ella Forster

Actress Paula Lane is reportedly leaving the show in 2025. Paula has played the role of Ella Forster in Emmerdale since the beginning of the year, but it looks like an exit is already set.

The news was revealed on Paula’s own talent Spotlight page, which is linked in her Instagram bio. It states that while she is currently playing Ella in Emmerdale, she is set to finish filming in February 2025. This suggests the character’s Emmerdale exit will appear on the screen in spring time. Emmerdale Insider reached out to Emmerdale who told us they do not comment on cast contracts.

Ella has been part of some huge storylines this year. She quickly became friends with Mandy Dingle and found a romantic spark with Liam Cavanagh. But it all fell apart when it was revealed she had killed a friend of hers during her childhood, and was jailed for a long time

Ella was then pregnant with Liam’s baby and she hoped to rekindle their romance. But she tragically lost the baby, and Liam’s focus was on his feelings for Chas Dingle.

Just last week Ella found out the pair are now giving their relationship a go, and fans have predicted Ella will let her ‘psycho’ side out.

But could this be what leads to her exit?

    Brenda Walker

A report in The Mirror has suggested Lesley Dunlop is leaving her role as Brenda Walker after 16 years. The exit has not been officially announced and Emmerdale has declined to comment.

A source told the publication: “There have been so many exits recently and the talk is of more. With people like Lesley and Roxy potentially in the mix, nobody feels safe.

“The show has grown a lot bigger in recent years but soaps are expensive to make. It’s inevitable saving money means losing people – but it’s a huge shame all the same for those involved, their friends and colleagues.”

Brenda owns the local cafe alongside Nicola King. She is the partner of Eric Pollard and has helped him through his Parkinson’s diagnosis. At the start of this year Brenda was left devastated when her stepson, Heath, was killed in a car accident.

Currently Brenda has no idea Eric has taken their life savings and invested it in a bogus cryptocurrency scheme. She’s sure to find out before too long as all their accounts are empty. But will she forgive him? Or could this cause her to leave?

In real life Lesley is married to Chris Chittell who plays Eric.

    Amelia Spencer

It’s been announced that Daisy Campbell, who plays Amelia Spencer, is leaving Emmerdale after 13 years.

Amelia’s has been in a relationship with domestic abuser Tom King, leaving fans worried she might meet a sad end, though Daisy has said the door is being left open so she could return.

Recently she finally saw the light about the man she had been defending and helped the police to catch him. Tom has tried to get her back on side, but she has refused to be put on his prison call list.

So what finally forces Amelia out of Emmerdale? She’s struggling with the shame and guilt of not believing Belle, has spraypainted Jimmy and Nicola’s door with the word ‘scum’ and is feeling lost and alone. Will she leave the village to seek a new life away from all her past trauma?

    Tom King

Evil Tom King’s campaign of abuse against poor Belle is due to be resolved at the end of the year. Actor James Chase is said to be leaving the show and fans are already speculating how he departs.

Currently Tom is in prison after he was caught out spying on Belle. Cops – including the wonderful DS Foy – had enough evidence to charge Tom with coercive and controlling behaviour. Although he was let out on bail, he decided to skip the country and thanks to some very clever work by Belle, his escape was foiled and he was caught before he could board the ferry.

However, that was not the last we’ve seen of Tom. He is trying all he can to lie and manipulate his way out of prison. He’s set to get cousin Angelica on board to try and fight his case.

And with his trial set for before Christmas Tom is on his way out of the show one way or another – but will it be a lengthy stint in prison? Or a life of freedom?

Reports have emerged that Leyla Harding, who’s played by Roxy Shahidi, is to leave the show in dramatic fashion!

Last month, it was rumoured that Leyla will be departing Emmerdale forever! Stories hit the press suggesting that Leyla could be killed off in explosive scenes.

Fans have been speculating wildly about how Leyla might shuffle off this mortal coil with some viewers even suggesting serial killer Meena Jutla could return to finish Leyla off.

Meanwhile, other fans have suggested evil Tom King could strike the killer blow, or someone else entirely.

We’re frankly devastated by the very idea of Leyla leaving and taking faint hope from the fact that the good people at Emmerdale haven’t confirmed or denied the rumours.

    Who’s joining Emmerdale?

Emmerdale has not released any upcoming casting information.

    Who’s returning to Emmerdale?

Well we don’t know details, but show boss Iain MacLeod told Digital Spy back in September: “This Christmas, there is a huge surprise arrival on Christmas Day. As well as some life or death jeopardy on Christmas Day – but obviously there will be festive brilliance as we do every year – but I think it is one of the most exciting Christmases that I can remember on Emmerdale this year!”

Speculation is now rife that the ‘surprise arrival’ will in fact be a return. Many fans think Pete Barton will come home, now his brother Ross is settling in the village again.

Others think Joe Tate, who may or may not be plotting against Kim (could be just wishful thinking) will be back. And some are hoping (still) for the Robert Sugden comeback they’ve been calling for. Just as John and Aaron are set for a happy Christmas together, could Robert come back to stir up the pot?

  • Review of the week: Joe’s back! Will’s dead! And Ruby’s tugging our heartstrings

Review of the week: Joe’s back! Will’s dead! And Ruby’s tugging our heartstrings

This week’s Emmerdale review is sadly lacking in festive cheer! Because it really wasn’t a merry Christmas for anyone in the village. There was death, a lot of secrets, quite a bit of shouting, and generally a lot of drama!

Which is just the way we like it.

Here’s what we thought of the Christmas action in our Emmerdale review.

    Joe Tate’s back!

The big news this Christmas in Emmerdale was the return of Joe Tate! YAY! It was revealed that Joe was the person pulling the strings, as Will tried to escape Peter’s plan. We were delighted by the news as it always felt like there was some unfinished business when it came to Joe.

And he’s certainly come back with some secrets. He’s clearly not well and we’re desperate to know what that’s all about.

We want to know why he’s back, obviously. And why he’s turned his revenge plot from Charity to Kim (also, what’s with all these younger men harbouring hatred for Kim for YEARS? Bit odd, isn’t it?)

We’ve got a lot of questions and we know we’re going to enjoy finding out the answers.

    Emmerdale review: Will’s dead (sob!)

And as if that wasn’t enough drama up at Home Farm, shortly after Will and Kim had renewed their vows, and Joe had strolled back in, Will was struck down by a heart attack.

He was struggling with chest pain, but Kim wasn’t sure he was being genuine. And in a brilliant bit of cyclical storytelling, she powdered her nose while watcihng him on the floor – just as she did with Frank.

BUT, Joe’s arrival made Kim realise Will was being truthful and snapped her into action. She desperately tried to save her husband’s life, while they waited for the paramedics, but there was nothing they – or the professionals – could do. It was a really clever callback to Kim’s evil takedown of Frank, except this time Kim was devastated. It felt like karma for her actions all those years ago.

We’re going to miss Will but we have a feeling his death is just the beginning of some even bigger drama – and it’s not looking good for Kim.

Ruby's clearly terrified of her dad

    We’re rooting for Ruby

Emmerdale’s had some pretty sinister baddies over the years (not you, Jade), but we reckon Anthony is the most evil of all.

Poor Ruby is clearly terrified of her father. Her reaction to being left alone with him on Christmas Day was shocking and we can see why.

He’s so charming to everyone else, while making sly, pointed comments to Ruby as she quivers in fright, that it makes us shudder.

We were delighted when Cain interrupted Anthony tormenting Ruby mentally, and when he realised how scared poor Ruby was. We also loved him confiding in Ruby about his own abuse at the hands of Shadrach.

This awful storyline isn’t easy to watch, but it’s being handled brilliantly and we’re looking forward to seeing how it plays out. We’re totally invested in Ruby’s torment now. Beth Cordingly, who plays Ruby, is so clever in showing us every side of her character, even when Ruby’s friends and family can’t see it. We’re all in with this one.

    April gets drunk

April’s missing in our Emmerdale review

It’s early days in April’s story, but so far, this drama doesn’t have us gripped. At the moment, everyone just seems to be doing a lot of shouting and finger pointing.

No one – not even the police – seems to be thinking clearly or rationally about where April could have gone, or why. It’s infuriating and frustrating. DS Foy would have found April by now, that’s all we’re saying.

  • As Will Taylor dies of a heart attack, fan theory reckons Joe Tate killed him

As Will Taylor dies of a heart attack, fan theory reckons Joe Tate killed him

In Emmerdale, Will Taylor met an untimely end this week after suffering a heart attack. But fans believe Joe Tate was actually responsible for Will’s death.

Joe returned to the Dales on Christmas Day after six years away and picked up where he left off by creating drama.

After revealing to Kim Tate that her husband Will had been plotting to bring her down, Will collapsed to the floor clutching his chest. But fans think there was more to Will’s death and that Joe had a hand in it.

    Will Taylor dies

During Emmerdale’s Christmas episode, Kim and Will renewed their wedding vows. Shortly after, their bubble of happiness was burst when Joe Tate made a dramatic entrance.

Joe revealed to Kim that Will had been planning revenge on her. He lied about Will’s involvement, telling Kim that Will had actually orchestrated it all by getting in touch with Kim’s son Jamie. Joe also told Kim that he and her financial advisor Peter had only gone along with the plan as a joke, to see how far Will would take it.

Kim asked to be alone with Will, where he attempted to give his version of events. But Kim wasn’t having any of it. Shortly after, Will collapsed to the floor clutching his chest. Kim ignored his pleas for help, accusing him of faking a heart attack for sympathy.

It was only when Joe returned that Kim started to help her husband. However, it was too late and by the time medics arrived at the scene, Will was pronounced dead.

Fans suspect Joe Tate in Emmerdale

After watching Will’s death, fans felt it was too much of a coincidence that Will would die so soon after Joe’s return.

Taking to X, one fan said: “Makes you wonder if Joe slipped some pills into Will’s drink.” A second fan agreed, writing: “ I think Joe put something in the wine, that caused will to get a heart attack.”

Over on Instagram, fans were in agreement, with one asking: “Who killed Will? Joe Tate?” Another fan added: “There is a twist somewhere.”

A fifth fan said: “I’m sure Joe is behind Will’s passing because the pills he is taking.”
