As Ross embarks on new fling with Steph Miligan, Mike Parr confirms which Emmerdale woman was Ross’ ‘one true love’

Recent episodes of Emmerdale have seen Ross flirt with both Charity and Steph, but Mike Parr has revealed all on Ross’ love life.

With Ross single and mourning the tragic death of his ex Rebecca, Mike has opened up about which former Dales woman was Ross’ ‘one true love.’

    Emmerdale: Ross’ love life

Ross has been unlucky in love over the years, returning to the Dales with quite the tragic bombshell. He revealed to Charity that his ex partner Rebecca had died and Seb was now living with an aunt.

With Ross now back in the village, he’s distracting himself from the grief it seems… turning his head to Charity. Seeing sense, Charity rejected Ross’ advances though. Fair play.

But, now, he’s left Charity alone and in now flirting with newcomer Steph Miligan instead. The pair even ended up sleeping together in the barn. This happened despite Steph admitting that Ross isn’t the sort of guy she’d go for. We’re not sure we believe her…

Mike Parr on Ross Barton’s ‘one true love’

Spoilers for next week reveal that Ross is startled when Jade kidnaps April and takes her to a car park. It sends all sorts of bad memories rushing back for Ross as he remembers Donna’s death.

And, Mike Parr has now confirmed that despite all these new romances and flings, it was Donna that ultimately won Ross’ heart.

Speaking to Emmerdale Insider and other media, Mike shared: “That was his first experience with love.

“When love is snatched away from you, you’re always going to glamorize it and think about what it could have been. But I think was probably the one he loved the most.”

“Nobody lives up to Donna in his eyes.”

Speaking about how Ross is haunted by Donna’s memory in the coming weeks as he’s taken back to the place of Donna’s death, Mike teased: “It’s hugely traumatic for him. It brings back the worst memories, you know, seeing somebody die, especially the first girl who has ever loved you and your first experience of love to fall off a roof chained to a paedophile. That’s a traumatic event for him.”

Will Ross ever find a love like he had with Donna again?

  • Is this Amelia’s Emmerdale exit? As Tom King suggests leaving the village together, just how will Daisy Campbell leave the soap?

Is this Amelia’s Emmerdale exit? As Tom King suggests leaving the village together, just how will Daisy Campbell leave the soap?

It has been announced that Daisy Campbell will exit Emmerdale as Amelia Spencer at Christmas, but we don’t know how she will leave yet. Daisy has admitted in an interview that she was told the news earlier this year, but the choice to leave was not hers.

Speaking to The Mirror Daisy admitted: “It wasn’t my choice to leave Emmerdale and it was a shock at first. Being in Emmerdale is all I have ever known. I’ve spent the whole of my childhood growing up in the soap and it felt daunting. Once they explained, I totally got it.

“Amelia isn’t part of the Dingles, her dad has left, Samson has gone now and she doesn’t have any family. There is nowhere to take Amelia and I understand that. I feel incredibly lucky to have been in the soap for 13 years and to have been handed so many opportunities at such a young age.”

Speculation began a while ago over how Amelia will leave and with the scenes airing very soon (yes, Christmas really is just around the corner!) her exit will be upon us before we know it. But are scenes in Monday November 25’s episode setting up her exit storyline?

Tom suggests moving away to Amelia in Emmerdale

As Amelia remains smitten with Tom and constantly looking at him through rose-tinted spectacles, Tom manages to charm her again tonight. He pretends he’s really into God too and they pray together. He then suggests he’d like to put a ring on it, before bringing up the idea of moving away from the village to start their life together.

Could this be her exit from the soap? Will Amelia leave to start again with Tom? Is that how he goes too?

After so much tragedy in her young life, will Amelia leave on a high and get her happy ending? Or will there be more trauma ahead? Here are all the theories on her exit.

Tom's mask is starting to slip in front of Amelia (Credit: ITV)

    1. Tom to kill Amelia?

Okay, so Daisy has ruled out Amelia dying with her comments to The Mirror: “I am pleased the door is being left open. But I can’t say too much about how she leaves.” However, could this just be a red herring? It wouldn’t be the first time the soap has tricked fans…

Things are getting so tense between her and Tom right now and next week will mark a turning point as Amelia starts to see his true colours. He lashes out at her during a bonfire night outing and it’s enough to make Amelia stop and think.

Plus, we’ve already had scenes of Amelia’s death when Belle imagined her different futures. They were particularly harrowing, but was this foreshadowing what’s to come?

Some fans certainly seem to think so with many commenting on social media: “Tom will do something to her.”

It would also leave Esther to be brought up by her grandparents, Sam and Lydia and we can think of worse things than them having a child to focus on.

    2. Amelia to kill Tom?

In a twist, could the roles be reversed? Could Amelia be the one to lash out in self-defence and kill Tom? Belle has already attacked him with an axe, but he survived. He also survived an electrocution in Moira’s barn. Will Amelia deal the fatal blow to her abusive boyfriend when it gets too much?

And if she does, would that send her to prison? Or would she take Esther and go on the run to avoid jail?

“What if she kills Tom?” wrote one fan. Others agreed they would be happy with this outcome.

    3. Amelia to leave Emmerdale with Tom to start a new life

We’re really not on board with this theory, but could Amelia fall so far under Tom’s spell they up and leave Emmerdale together?

Tom has now suggested as such, much to the disgust of Sam Dingle, who has begged the police to stop them. The cops aren’t able to do anything right now as they don’t have enough evidence to act.

So will Amelia be whisked off to a life of fear and terror? If Tom gets his way, she will do.

    4. Off to uni

Some fans have speculated that university is in Amelia’s future. She always was a brain box and was expected to achieve great things. But having Esther caused trouble with her schoolwork and she’s struggled to get back on track, working in Mandy’s salon to make ends meet.

But could all the nasty Tom business cause her to have an epiphany and realise that she does want to make the best of herself? Will she leave to get a better education and put her past behind her?

    Noah and Amelia look sad

    5. Amelia to leave Emmerdale and live with her dad

With the man she thinks of as her dad, Dan, in prison could she leave to live with her uncle-who-is-actually-her-biological-dad, Daz. He’s her only remaining family member, other than her brother Sean, so if she realises what a mess she’s made in the village and needs to cut ties, Daz is the only real person she could turn to.

  • Pete Barton to return on Christmas Day? A new fan theory predicts

Pete Barton to return on Christmas Day? A new fan theory predicts

Following on from Ross Barton‘s return, a new fan theory has predicted Pete Barton will be the next one to return to Emmerdale.

Ross returned to Emmerdale in October after six years away. He originally left the Dales in 2018 to start a new life following the horrendous acid attack. Now a new fan theory has suggested that Ross’s brother Pete could be on his way back to Emmerdale.

Pete left Emmerdale in 2020 to join Ross in Liverpool. Could he once again follow his brother and head back to the village?

Pete left Emmerdale in 2020 (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)

Who was Pete Barton in Emmerdale?

Pete is the eldest son of Emma and James Barton. Despite leaving the village to be with Ross, Pete’s rivalry with his brother was the main focus during his time in Emmerdale.

Pete quickly grew fond of Debbie Dingle, but on their wedding day he discovered that she had been cheating on him with Ross. A helicopter then crashed into the venue and Debbie was seriously injured.

While Debbie was in hospital, Ross and Pete had a fight. Pete believed he’d killed Ross and so abandoned his body in the woods. it was later revealed that Ross was alive and well.

The two continued to fight, and after assaulting Ross once again, Pete was sentenced to a short stint in prison.

During his time in the Dales, Pete was unlucky in love. His marriage to Debbie was annulled, he made pass at his aunt Moira and had failed relationships with Rhona and Tracy.

Could we soon see Pete’s rivalry with Ross again? (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)

Fan theory predicts Pete Barton return to Emmerdale

Ross Barton returned to Emmerdale in October as part of Billy Fletcher’s illegal boxing story. Ross was revealed to be Billy’s opponent. Though he has since attempted to distance himself from the underground boxing scene in order to be a good father to son Moses.

Last week, Holly Barton also returned to Emmerdale. The character died of an overdose back in 2016, however she appeared as part of mum Moira‘s dream while she was having an operation for the removal of a tumour.

Now a fan theory has predicted that Pete will be next. Taking to X, they wrote: “September – Emma appeared. October – Ross returned. November – Holly appeared. And on Christmas Day Pete Barton is returning!!!”

When questioned further, the poster wrote: “It’s mostly just a theory but he hasn’t acted in ages and him starting again now seems like suspiciously perfect timing.”

Actor Anthony Quinlan, who also played Gilly Roach in Hollyoaks, has had two acting credits since leaving Emmerdale – a short film titled Asphyxiate, and an episode of crime drama London Kills. But will he be making his way back to the Dales?

  • Emmerdale releases dramatic trailer for Tom’s demise and fans couldn’t be happier – but it’s not over yet

Emmerdale releases dramatic trailer for Tom’s demise and fans couldn’t be happier – but it’s not over yet

A new dramatic Emmerdale trailer has dropped and it teases Tom King’s demise – but it’s safe to say, Tom doesn’t plan on going down without a fight.

Fans have rejoiced upon seeing the new trailer, which shows the walls closing in on Tom King at long last. But it’s not over just yet as Tom doesn’t plan on going quietly.

Here’s what the trailer tells us about Tom’s final chapter.

Amelia has stuck by Tom (Credit: ITV)

    Tom and Amelia in Emmerdale

Following his prolonged abuse of Belle in Emmerdale, Tom has embarked on a relationship with Amelia Spencer – perhaps because she is one of few residents in the village gullible enough to believe his lies.

After Belle revealed the extent of her husband’s abuse, the Dingles and other villagers closed ranks around her, but Amelia continues to defend Tom despite being on the receiving end of his cruel tongue herself.

On bonfire night, after seeing the Guy was dressed like him, Tom took out his anger on Amelia. Tom accused her of acting like a stray dog and called her pathetic, but she still forgave him.

Last week, Tom went even further and told Amelia she was acting like a hooker. However, the trailer reveals that Tom will need Amelia on side if he is to win in court against Belle.

The walls are closing in on Tom (Credit: ITV)

    New Emmerdale trailer

The new trailer shows Tom breaking into Jacob’s Fold and spying on Belle as Charity’s voice reassures Belle that Tom’s bail conditions mean he can’t go near her.

Tom is then shown telling Sam the police will believe his word over Belle’s because “all they have to do is ask Amelia how I treat her, which is like the perfect gentleman.”

However, the trailer quickly shows a concerned looking Amelia, while another shot shows Tom pulling Amelia out of the house while she shouts “you’re hurting me”.

More worryingly, Tom is shown pushing Belle against a car as he shouts at her: “You always have to take things too far.” Meanwhile, a worried Cain and Charity are shown in a car rushing to the rescue. With the walls closing in, what will Tom do?

    Fans rejoice

On Emmerdale’s Instagram page, fans were happy to see the end is nigh for Tom. One viewer wrote: “Yes yes yes. I can’t wait for Tom to get caught,” while another added: “Please let Tom finally be caught! Belle deserves justice. I think Amelia is starting to see who he really is. The sooner Tom goes, the better.”

A third fan said Tom’s downfall “can’t come soon enough,” with a fourth writing: “not before time.”

Others fans are eager for Tom to get his comeuppance and don’t want to see him die. One viewer said: “Just let Tom be arrested, Belle gets her say, then everyone believes her, Belle gets Piper back.”

Another fan was more extreme in their view, writing: “I swear if the writers kill him off and he doesn’t get caught, I will stop watching.”

Whatever the soap has planned, things don’t look good for Tom.

  • Bradley Johnson asks for parenting advice at 4am after welcoming first baby and sharing adorable pictures

Bradley Johnson asks for parenting advice at 4am after welcoming first baby and sharing adorable pictures

Emmerdale star Bradley Johnson, who plays Vinny Dingle, recently welcomed his first child and has been asking fans for parenting advice – at 4am!

Bradley and his fiancée Sammie Johnstone confirmed that they’d became parents over the weekend (Saturday, November 23), after the Vinny Dingle actor announced the pregnancy back in June.

Although an exciting time for the pair, reality has hit hard as both parents were awake at 4am wondering how to settle their baby.

    Bradley Johnson becomes a dad

The Vinny Dingle actor revealed June that he and Sammie would soon be “mum and dad” and shared an image of a cake with the words: “baby coming December 2024.”

However, said baby arrived early. Bradley confirmed via Instagram on Saturday that the baby boy arrived on November 19.

In the Instagram post on November 23, Bradley wrote: “Albie Jake Johnson. You are absolutely everything.” An adorable image of Albie was included alongside a snap of a wooden plaque revealing Albie’s date of birth and weight – 6lbs 13oz.

Bradley’s Emmerdale co-stars congratulated him on the news, with on screen mum Lisa Riley, who plays Mandy Dingle, writing: “You know how proud me and Al are of you and Sammie – we love you loads… CONGRATULATIONS… we are available for baby sitting whenever, sending the biggest amount of love.”

Samantha Power – who recently joined as Tina Dingle – wrote: “Oh my god! Just gorgeous! Massive congrats to you all xxx”. Amy Walsh, who plays Tracy Metcalfe, wrote: “Awwwwwwww congratulations!!! He’s early!!!! Hope you’re all doing amazing! He’s beautiful xxxx” and Isabel Hodgins, who plays Victoria Sugden, added: “He is delicious. Sending my love to all three of you. Congrats xx.”

The new dad asks for advice

Like most new parents, the sleepless nights are taking their toll on the couple.

On Sunday night, Bradley shared a clip to his Instagram Stories, where he asked fans: “Just asking for a friend, when you’ve burped, changed nappy, fed, and repeated that 10 times. And it’s been two hours and your baby is still looking at you like that… [pulls silly face] and every time you put them down, they go… [screams] – just what do you do?”

Samantha could be heard laughing in the background as she told Bradley it was 4am.  He then joked “4 o’clock? Got work tomorrow. Gonna need a lot of make-up on these eyes.”

The clip was captioned: “Smashing this parenting,” with a laughing emoji along with a time stamp which showed it was 4.14 in the morning. It gets easier, Bradley, we promise.

Who does Bradley Johnson play in Emmerdale?

Bradley has starred in Emmerdale as Vinny Dingle since 2019.

Despite being raised by Mandy Dingle, it was recently revealed that his real mother is Tina Dingle. Something that was kept a secret from Vinny, much to his disgust.

During his time in the village, Vinny has suffered much hardship. After welcoming his dad back into his life, Paul soon started to abuse Vinny – both physically and emotionally.

Vinny was later left heartbroken when his wife Liv Flaherty died during the big storm week in 2022.

  • 11 most iconic Emmerdale villains – psychotic killers, violent abusers and master manipulators!

11 most iconic Emmerdale villains – psychotic killers, violent abusers and master manipulators!

As far as soap villains go, Emmerdale has definitely had some of the best and most terrifying we’ve ever seen. There have been a wide spectrum of baddies over the years – from deranged mass murderers, to evil rapists and unhinged bunny boilers.

Most recently, it’s been the turn of twisted Tom King to inflict his terror on poor Belle Dingle and the rest of the village. At last, Tom’s crimes are about to catch up with him, but what happened to all the other bad guys and girls?

Here’s a look at 11 of the most legendary Emmerdale villains…

Meena shoots a gun dressed in all black in Emmerdale
Serial killer Meena was about as evil as they come  (Credit: ITV)

    Emmerdale best villains: Meena Jutla

As Emmerdale’s first female serial killer, Meena Jutla has already secured her place in soap history.

She was introduced as Manpreet’s estranged sister, and at first it seemed Meena’s only crime was seducing her brother-in-law. But how wrong we were. Meena was a psychopath, who’s already committed murder before she even set foot in the Dales. Her first two victims were her best friend Nadine and her own father.

Viewers quickly realised Meena was about as unhinged as they come. This was someone who took sadistic pleasure in stalking her prey, and liked to sing to pop music before going in for the kill.

In total, Meena killed three villagers. First, she pushed teen Leanna Cavanagh to her death off a bridge, Aaron Dingle‘s boyfriend Ben Tucker was bludgeoned over the head, and Andrea Tate was beaten then left to burn alive in a maze fire. The nutty nurse would have happily carried on and almost claimed Manpreet’s life before the police captured her.

Meena’s now safely behind bars, which is good news for the locals, but we miss her evil brilliance.

    Cameron Murray in Emmerdale
Cameron nearly ended Chas’s life (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)

    Cameron Murray

Crazed Cameron Murray managed to rack up quite the body count during his two year reign of terror in Emmerdale.

The love rat turned killer when he bashed Carl King’s brains in with a brick during Emmerdale’s live 40th anniversary episode. Carl was threatening to out Cameron’s affair with Chas Dingle, so he found a way to silence him. Permanently.

Guilt-ridden, Cameron confessed what he’d done to best mate Alex Moss, but then panicked he’d tell the police. Cameron took Alex hostage before murdering him to ensure his secret was safe. Gennie Walker became his third victim when she threatened to expose his involvement in Carl’s death.

Cameron went to prison, but broke out and returned to the village, where he stormed The Woolpack with a shotgun and held the locals hostage. The dramatic siege reached a terrifying climax as Cameron tried to drown Chas in the pub’s flooded cellar. However, he ended up killing himself when he grabbed the live wire of an electric bulb.

    Graham Clark in Emmerdale
Emmerdale villains: Graham Clark was a wolf in sheep’s clothing (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)

    Graham Clark

What is it they always say about the quiet ones? No one would have suspected teacher Graham Clark was a murderer at first glance.

After a disastrous marriage to cold-hearted Chris Tate, Rachel Hughes thought she’d found the one in Graham. He helped her redecorate her home, cooked her lovely meals and even alphabetised her CD collection. But these weren’t just sweet gestures – Graham had a sinister agenda.

Gradually he took control of every aspect of Rachel’s life, even getting her to dye her blonde hair red to resemble his late wife. The penny finally dropped for Rachel while the couple were out walking in the countryside. Rachel realised Graham had murdered his missus and made her death look like suicide.

She tried to flee, but there was no escape. Graham pushed Rachel off a clifftop to her death.

With his deadly secret still safe he turned his attentions to Rachel’s best mate Kathy Glover. He almost killed her in a car crash, but she managed to escape. Graham wasn’t so lucky and died when the vehicle exploded into a ball of flames.

Carl King assaulting Chas Dingle in Emmerdale

    Emmerdale best villains: Carl King

There aren’t many nice things we can say about Carl King. He was spoilt, arrogant, reckless and didn’t give a damn who he hurt.

But what tipped Carl into villain territory was when it was revealed he’d killed his own dad! Carl pushed old Tom King (who to be fair wasn’t that nice either) out of a window on his wedding day.

Carl got away with murder for years, and god knows how because practically half of the village knew he’d done it. But his big downfall came when he crossed killer Cameron Murray.

Carl was obsessed with his ex Chas Dingle, but then discovered she and Cameron were having an affair. Consumed with jealousy and rage, Carl attempted to rape Chas, but she hit him over a head with a brick and fled, believing he was dead.

He was still very much alive, and when Cameron found Carl he decided to finish off the job. Carl’s death was part of Emmerdale’s 40th live episode and was watched by an audience of 8.8 million.

    Tom looks angrily at Belle

    Tom King

Like father, like son, Tom has shown himself to be one of the worst Emmerdale villains: a violent bully and abuser. But the vet’s disturbing behaviour began at a young age.

When he was just 13, Tom – or Thomas as he was known back then – started a campaign of harassment against Chas Dingle, the woman he believed had killed his father. The twisted teen sent Chas disturbing pictures, bombarded her with anonymous calls, vandalised her home, and even threw a glass bottle at her.

After his wicked antics were exposed, Tom fled to Saudi Arabia to live with his mum. He returned 10 years later, all grown up and seemingly a changed character. But that was all a front, as poor Belle Dingle discovered.

The young couple got married in February 2024 and appeared the picture of happiness. But behind closed doors, Tom was exhibiting abusive and controlling behaviour. He physically, emotionally and mentally tortured his wife, isolating her from her family and friends and continually gaslit her into believing it was all her fault.

Tom’s crimes have been wicked and shocking to see, but justice is finally about to be served. And we will not be sorry to see the back of him.

Kim Tate looking annoyed in Emmerdale
Cross Emmerdale villain Kim Tate at your peril (Credit: ITV)

    Kim Tate

No Emmerdale villains list is complete with out the queen, Kim Tate. She’s deliciously wicked, rather than being evil to the core.

Kim has committed so many sins over the years it’s impossible to reel them all off. But she’s been a thief, a fraudster, an abductor, a manipulator, liar and cheat. You get the picture.

But despite Kim’s catalogue of crimes, she’s only actually killed one person. And that wasn’t through violent means.

Who will ever forget that iconic moment when she stood by and watched as Frank suffered a fatal heart attack on Home Farm’s living room carpet? The look of satisfaction on Kim’s face as she saw the life fade from her estranged husband, and how she used her compact mirror to check whether Frank had stopped breathing? So terrifically twisted.

    Lachlan White in Emmerdale
Lachlan White killed four people during his time in the village (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)

    Emmerdale best villains: Lachlan White

Lachlan White went from being a socially awkward kid to one of soap’s most prolific serial killers.

The only son of Chrissie White, Lachlan was characterised as a bit of weird loner. He did strike up a friendship with Belle Dingle, and encouraged her to seek help over her mental health problems. But that’s really where his niceness ended.

Events took a sinister turn when Lachlan developed an unhealthy infatuation with Alicia Gallagher. Believing his feelings were reciprocated, Lachlan committed a sexual assault on Alicia. Chrissie called the police on her son and he was placed on the sex offender’s register for two years.

After that, things spiralled really out of control. The teenager accidentally shot his grandfather Lawrence, then deliberately caused a car crash which claimed the life of Lawrence and Chrissie.

He murdered lovely Gerry Roberts by bashing his skull in with a rock, then killed Terry Bates, a conman who was posing as Gerry’s uncle. He nearly added three more bodies to count – Robert Sugden, Liv Flaherty, and his aunt Rebecca White, but they lived to tell the tale.

Lachlan was eventually captured and sent to prison. But that didn’t stop him hiring his dad to burn down Wishing Well Cottage in a final act of revenge against the Dingles. What a lovely lad, eh?

Laurel's life was made hell by Sally Spode (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)
Laurel’s life was made hell by Emmerdale villain Sally Spode (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)

    Sally Spode

Sally was the wife of a vicar, but there was nothing holy about this dangerous woman.

After her marriage crumbled, Sally turned to her ex-boyfriend Ashley Thomas for help. He and wife Laurel took pity on Sally and welcomed her into Mulberry Cottage with open arms. But little did they know they’d invited a lunatic into their lives.

Sally developed an unhealthy obsession with Ashley. She wanted him, and therefore Laurel had to go. In scenes fit for a horror film, Sally locked her love rival in the church then set fire to the building. Somehow Laurel managed to make it out alive, but Sally wasn’t done yet.

The craziness continued as Sally drugged Ashley to try to get him into bed. She kidnapped Edna Birch’s dog, held little Angelica King hostage and even made claims that she was pregnant with Ashley’s baby. No wonder why Laurel saw red and nearly pushed her off a balcony.

In the end, Sally was declared mentally ill and sectioned.

    Craig Reed

Craig was an old friend of Lydia Dingle‘s who seemed a nice enough chap when we first met him.

The former couple knew each other from their time living together at a children’s home. Lydia, then known as Jenny Finn, had become pregnant and gave birth to their stillborn son, Toby.

33 years later, Lydia and Craig reconnected and she told him about their baby. Craig offered Lydia a cleaning job, but then began to make creepy advances towards her. Frightened by his behaviour, Lydia told Craig she was quitting, but he refused to let her go. He trapped Lydia in his office and raped her.

After suffering in silence for weeks, Lydia bravely told her family what had happened. Nearly every member of the Dingles was out for Craig’s blood, so when he was discovered dead in the middle of a field it looked as if one of them had finished him off.

The truth was somewhat more shocking and bizarre. The rapist was actually killed by the hooves of Kim Tate’s horse, Ice, who got spooked and trampled Craig to death.

    Emmerdale best villains: Emma Barton

Emma Barton’s problem was that she really loved her family. A little too much.

The estranged wife of James and mum to Pete, Ross and Finn came to the village looking for forgiveness for walking out on them years previously. She somehow managed to worm her way back into their lives, but the happy family reunion did not last long.

Realising James’s heart lay with sister-in-law, Moira, Emma held him hostage (while in her wedding dress). He escaped her clutches, but she then pushed him over the edge of a bridge, causing the Hotten Bypass Crash.

Emma also made out she had motor neurone disease to try and keep her boys close. She abducted Moira’s newborn baby son, Isaac, and accidentally shot and killed her youngest lad, Finn.

She also met a grisly end when Moira shoved her off a viaduct.

    Pierce Harris in Emmerdale

    Pierce Harris

Widower Pierce Harris came into Rhona Goskirk‘s life when his wife, Tess, died. She had been having an affair with Rhona’s husband Paddy at the time of her death. Grieving and all over the place it probably wasn’t the best idea for either of them, but Pierce and Rhona fell into a relationship.

He seemed perfect on the surface: smart, sophisticated and handsome. But beneath the surface lay a controlling abuser. He forced himself on Rhona even though she wasn’t in the mood and grew abusive.

Rhona’s best mate Vanessa knew what he was and tried to get her friend away from him, but Rhona wouldn’t listen. She went ahead and married Pierce, but when he raped her on their wedding day, she decided she had to go to the police.

Pierce was sent to prison, but when he was released he came straight back for Rhona. He murdered her then-boyfriend Graham Foster and took Vanessa hostage. Rhona eventually set him up so the police would arrest him again.

    Pierce died in prison.

  • 11 Best Cain Dingle moments in Emmerdale – brushes with death, family feuds and a lot of lovers!

11 Best Cain Dingle moments in Emmerdale – brushes with death, family feuds and a lot of lovers!

Cain Dingle has been at the heart of the action in Emmerdale for nearly quarter of a century. Next year, will mark the character’s 25th anniversary in the Yorkshire based soap, and what an incredible journey he’s had.

One of the show’s all time greats, Cain Dingle has seen and done it all. He’s schemed and cheated, spent time in prison, survived countless attempts on his life, and seduced a lot of ladies into bed.

Now he’s moved into a new chapter in his life as the new head of the Dingle clan, and we can’t wait to see what the future holds. As we prepare for the wild ride ahead we thought we’d look back on some of his biggest moments.

So here are Cain Dingle‘s best bits – the good, bad and ugly…

Best Cain Dingle moments in Emmerdale: Discovering Zak was his real dad

Cain arrived in Emmerdale on March 30, 2000 for the funeral of his cousin, Butch. Being the designated black sheep of the family, Cain had grown up believing his father was Shadrach. But in fact, he was the fruit of his Uncle Zak’s loins.

On Valentine’s Day 1974, Zak had a one-night stand with his sister-in-law, and Cain’s mother, Faith, which resulted in her falling pregnant. Nine months later Cain was born, and it was assumed he was Shadrach’s son.

The truth came out in 2001 during a heated exchange between Zak and Cain. The angry duo were about to come blows when Cain uttered those familiar words: “You can’t tell me what to do”. Zak’s wife Lisa, who was trying to pull them apart cried, “Tell him”, and with that Zak revealed he was Cain’s real father. Cain did not take the news well and branded Zak a ‘dirty liar’. He eventually came round and accepted Zak as his dad, with the pair even becoming close.

With Zak’s sad passing in October 2024, Cain has now assumed his role as head of the Dingle family.

    Seducing a police officer

Cain’s weakness for married women was explored early on when he began an affair with PC Angie Reynolds.

He’d had his eye on Angie for months, and it was clear her ‘disdain’ for him was masking a secret desire. So when Angie found out her husband Sean had cheated she decided to do the same.

Bedding the local criminal gave Angie a real thrill, but the excitement soon wore off. Cain got pied and was devastated. But instead of fighting for the woman he’d grown to love, Cain went down the seedy route and slept with Angie’s teenage daughter, Ollie, in revenge.

Sickened by Cain’s actions, Angie decided to frame him for a robbery, but the plan went disastrously wrong. Angie was fatally injured in a car chase and died in Cain’s arms as he pleaded with her to tell him she loved him.

These emotional, raw scenes proved Cain was capable of loving someone other than himself.

Cain and Charity have a complicated history in Emmerdale

    His escapades with Charity

Cain’s closet is full of skeletons, so it came as little surprise to the viewers when it was discovered he’d had a fling with his second cousin, Charity.

The pair’s explosive romance was a huge part of Cain’s early years in the village. Charity was undoubtedly his first love and together they created one of Emmerdale’s strongest ever partnerships. But it’s not all been hearts and flowers – Cain and Charity have loved and hated each other in equal measures.

It all started as a dalliance when they were underage teens, but the spark was still there as adults. After being reunited with their daughter Debbie Dingle, Cain and Charity resumed their affair.  Fans couldn’t get enough of the couple’s antics. Not only were Cain and Charity compatible in the bedroom, they also made formidable partners in crime. With their penchant for illegal scams, these two became the Dales’ answer to Bonnie and Clyde.

In 2009, Cain decided he wanted to make an honest woman out of Charity. He popped the question with a plastic engagement ring – who said romance was dead?

They almost made it down the aisle, but then Charity decided she wasn’t ready for marriage. She and Cain split shortly afterwards.

In the years since, there have been a few steamy liaisons, as well as a brief affair in 2016. But whether they’ll ever get it on again is anyone’s guess!

Best Cain moments in Emmerdale: Scheming with Sadie King

Cain always works best when he’s teamed up with a strong woman, who will give him as good as she’s got.

Scheming Sadie King (Jimmy’s first wife) enlisted his services to prevent Charity from marrying her millionaire father-in-law, Tom King. Sadie, who was already sleeping with Cain, asked her lover to seduce Charity and take photos.

He did as he was told and Sadie stopped the wedding by showing Tom the incriminating snaps. He jilted Charity at the altar and Sadie was victorious.

Having no further purpose for Cain, Sadie dumped him. And how did he respond? By killing her beloved pet dog, Damon, that’s how!

But Cain wasn’t done there. After pretending to shoot Sadie – which was all part of a scam to extort money from the Kings – Cain made off with the money and left Sadie with nothing!

    Fathering four kids

Less of a moment, but more of a journey. Cain’s development from selfish singleton to devoted dad has been an interesting one to watch.

Cain is a four by four – meaning he’s got four kids with as many women.

First up is Debbie, his only daughter, who was the product of his teenage fling with Charity. Debbie came back into Cain’s life when she was a preteen and over the years they were able to establish a close bond.

Cain’s next child was Nate Robinson. He came to the village out for revenge on the man who abandoned him, and set about seducing Cain’s wife, Moira. When the affair and Nate’s true identity was revealed it turned out Cain never even knew of Nate’s existence. Nate is now living in Shetland, and he and Cain aren’t on speaking terms.

His other two lads are Kyle Winchester, who was conceived after Cain seduced a young Amy Wyatt, and Isaac, from his marriage to Moira.

    Coira have always been passionate

    The magic of Coira

Cain and Moira’s affair was pure fire and one of the best in Emmerdale history.

At the time their fling started, Moira was married to farmer John Barton. But if there’s one thing that gets Cain going then it’s the thrill of the chase. Passions first ignited in Cain’s garage, then the lusty duo couldn’t keep their hands off one another.

Moira dumped Cain after he outed their betrayal to John, and the fans were gutted. They wanted more, and their wish was granted when Coira resumed their romance after John’s death in 2012.

They became husband and wife in 2014, but thankfully Cain and Moira haven’t turned into a boring married couple. Their ten-year union has been littered with betrayals (on both sides), and full of drama.

Now they’re facing their toughest challenge yet as Moira has been diagnosed with a brain tumour. And while she was on the operating table, Cain had a bunk-up with sister-in-law Ruby Fox-Miligan. Not his finest hour and the less said about that, the better.

Judgement Day in Emmerdale Who Attacked Cain storyline

    Who Attacked Cain in Emmerdale?

Cain was the centre of a huge whodunnit (aka Judgement Day) when he was bludgeoned with a crowbar and left for dead.

The attack took place in December 2011, at a time where Cain had stacked up a rather large enemy count. Those in the frame for the attack included Moira and her husband John, Cain’s 17-year old baby mumma Amy Wyatt, and Charity’s boyfriend, Jai Sharma.

But in the end it turned out the mystery assailant was Cain’s own dad, Zak. He’d grown tired of his son’s continual bad behaviour and felt Cain needed to be taught a lesson for disgracing the Dingle family name.

Zak finally ‘fessed up after realising Cain’s love rival Jai had been charged with the crime.

Cain was horrified, but eventually forgave his dad and went on to make a full recovery.

Cain survived an attack from Aaron in Emmerdale

    His other brushes with death

Cain is Emmerdale’s own Lazarus – seriously, the guy is indestructible!

He survived having his skull smashed in by Zak, but that’s not the only time Cain has cheated death.

In revenge for destroying his parent’s marriage, Adam Barton set fire to Cain’s garage with him inside – but he somehow live to tell the tell. A couple of years later, Cain was diagnosed with a brain aneurysm and nearly drowned in a freezing river after refusing to have it operated on.

What else? Well. Cain survived an explosion after trying to have Nate killed for sleeping with Moira. He suffered a near-fatal brain injury during a violent punch up with nephew Aaron, and most recently he cheated death rescuing Moira from a burning burn.

    How does he do it?!

Harriet Finch had a steamy romance with the bad boy Dingle
Cain’s been to bed with a vicar too (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)

Best Cain moments in Emmerdale: An unlikely romance with Harriet

What’s the one about the local bad boy seducing the village vicar?

Cain started a scandalous affair with police-officer-turned-clergywoman, Harriet Finch in 2017 after he and Moira temporarily split. After enjoying secret romps in the church vestry, Harriet, like many women before her, found herself falling for Cain.

Breaking all codes of conduct, Harriet joined Cain on the dark side, getting mixed up with drug dealers and the like.

While things were good, Cain and Harriet made an exciting couple. But deep down Harriet, and everyone else, knew Cain was still in madly love with Moira.

Their relationship eventually fizzled and Cain went back to his wife.

Cain was heartbroken when Faith died in Emmerdale

    Losing Faith

One of Cain’s most heartbreaking and human moments came in 2022 with the death of his mum, Faith.

The pair had a complicated history due Faith walking out on Cain when he was 12-years-old. Faith turned up in Emmerdale in 2017 to make amends, but Cain wasn’t interested in getting to know her.

They eventually made their peace after Faith was diagnosed with terminal cancer. Deciding she wanted to die on her own terms, Faith planned to end her own life with an overdose of morphine.

Cain was by Faith’s side in her final moments. Cradling his mum in his arms, Cain apologised for his past behaviour and told Faith he loved her – three words that she’d longed to hear.

These highly emotional scenes won praise amongst viewers and showed a tender side to Cain we rarely see.

Kyle was protected from the police by his dad
Cain went to jail to save Kyle (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)

    Taking the rap for Kyle

Family loyalty is everything to Cain and he proved it when he made the ultimate sacrifice for his son, Kyle.

Al Chapman’s murder was one of those great OMG moments in Emmerdale. At first, it seemed Cain had killed his nemesis in revenge for his affair with Chas. But it turned out Al was gunned down by timid 10-year-old, Kyle.

In the aftermath of the shocking crime, Cain vowed to protect his son. He ‘confessed’ and was sent to prison for a crime he didn’t commit. He’d still be there if Kyle hadn’t done the right thing by owning up.

Cain reunited with Caleb in Emmerdale

Imagine a slightly younger Cain, but with all the same bad boy traits. Well, that’s his younger brother, Caleb Miligan.

Despite their similarities, the Dingle brothers did not grow up together. While Cain was raised by his family, Caleb was brought up in the care system and had a miserable time.

His arrival to the Dales in Christmas 2022 came as a huge shock for Cain. It had been three decades since they’d crossed paths and it turned out Cain had lied to Caleb by telling him Faith had died years previously.

After a rocky start, the pair finally started to get along. It’s been up and down, but Cain and Caleb have forged a strong bond. We think he’s going to prove a useful ally in the future.

  • Emmerdale review of the week: Moira’s alive, but Cain needs to go. And who is Steph?!

Emmerdale review of the week: Moira’s alive, but Cain needs to go. And who is Steph?!

This week’s Emmerdale review is brought to you from a place of deep despair, with cries of “WHHHHYYYY?”

We are most definitely not on board with Cain and Ruby doing it. In fact, we’re so horrified by it that we’ve had quite an extreme realisation about Mr Dingle – more on that later.

The awfulness of Cain and Ruby’s hook-up has tainted the whole of this week’s Emmerdale for us, but when we put our minds to it, we can remember some moments of brightness among the gloom.

Here’s what we thought in this week’s Emmerdale review.

Moira and Holly in Emmerdale in 2025
We loved Moira’s reunion with Holly (Credit: ITV)

    Moira and Holly’s reunion

Let’s start with the good stuff: the build-up to Moira’s op, her fear about leaving her kids, and the op itself.

We’re not always a fan of quirky tricks in soaps, but having Moira see daughter Holly Barton was a really lovely touch. And her leaving Holly to go and check on the boys was a clever way of showing us how much she wanted to live.

It was sweet and emotional, and really moving. Natalie J Robb, who plays Moira, really knocked it out of the park too, showing us Moira’s terror about her operation in a very understated way. It was great.

Poor Sam has coped with a lot (Credit: ITV)
Poor Sam has been through a lot (Credit: ITV)

    Sweet supportive Sam

And do you know what else we loved? Sweet Sam turning up at the hospital to support Cain, even when Cain left the hospital.

We’ve been watching Sam and Alice’s sad journey on Classic Emmerdale, so probably because of that we felt a bit teary seeing Sam arrive with his Tupperware of pasties, ready to step up for his family. What a sweetheart.

Steph's arrival will cause a stir in Emmerdale (Credit: ITV)
Did Steph even exist before she came to the village? (Credit: ITV)

    We’ve got questions for Steph!

We quite like what we’ve seen of Steph so far. But one thing we can’t get our heads round is her parents’ complete lack of interest in her life outside Emmerdale. They’ve not  spoken for more than a decade, but they haven’t asked her where she’s been living, or what she’s been doing, or if she’s single.

Caleb assumed she didn’t have a job – which she apparently didn’t, but then how has she been supporting herself until now? Caleb also assumed she had the skills to be his second-in-command at the factory without checking.

Maybe she’s a doctor or a lawyer or a stripper or a fighter pilot – he wouldn’t know because he didn’t even ask. It’s all a bit odd.

Big thumbs down for Will and Kim in our Emmerdale review

Just get back together already and stop all this exhausting brinkmanship.

Cain and Ruby kiss on Emmerdale
Is there any coming back from this one? (Credit: ITV/YouTube)

We need to talk about Cain and Ruby in our Emmerdale review

We suppose we need to talk about the huge Cain and Ruby shaped elephant in the room. But we don’t want to! Because it’s actually just awful, isn’t it? Nothing about their weird five-minute bunk up in the garage makes sense. And it’s hard to know where to start with listing everything about it that was so wrong. But let’s have a go.

First up, Cain and Ruby have never even showed the tiniest bit of interest in one another. They’ve barely spoken. In fact, they barely spoke in the garage before they were suddenly snogging. It came so out of the blue that it was bewildering. If Cain had to cheat (though we question why) then we’d have perhaps gone for Ella, as they have a bit of a rapport. Not Ruby.

Another objection we have to this whole sitch, is that Ruby has won our hearts over the last few months. We’ve seen her vulnerable side, got to know her, loved seeing her forge an awkward friendship with Moira, and now this. It’s just not Ruby. She makes mistakes undoubtedly, but she is loyal and fierce and – we reckon – a real woman’s woman. This dalliance is so out of character, it might have changed the way we feel about her forever, which is a real shame.

Plus, Ruby is a smart, funny, clever woman who then messaged Cain and left her emergency contraception box in the top of the kitchen bin. Riiiiiight.

We have a lot to say about Cain here too, but actually he deserves his own section, because WHAT ON EARTH is going on there?

Ruby and Cain aren't doing the best job of keeping their secret!(Credit: ITV)
We think it’s time for Cain to go (Credit: ITV)

    Cain needs to go

We have always loved Cain Dingle. We’ve forgiven him so much over the years. But we’re about ready to say enough is enough. You’re 50 years old, mate. It’s time to grow up.

We were disappointed in the way Cain reacted when Moira’s behaviour first started to change before her diagnosis. He let her down then. But, we thought, he’ll step up. He’ll make amends. It’ll be fine.

Except he didn’t and it wasn’t.

First he whinged about being left to look after things at the farm when Moira went to see her son Adam TO SAY GOODBYE, in case she died. Then he refused to talk about any of the important stuff Moira wanted to sort out IN CASE SHE DIED. And then he slept with Ruby while Moira was ON THE OPERATING TABLE. (We apologise for all this shouting but it really feels like Cain’s behaviour warrants a bit of shouting!)

He even punched Jimmy (to be fair, Jimmy did quite deserve it but still there’s a time and a place) and got himself arrested.

And now he’s being utterly VILE to Ruby too. Almost as if he’s blaming her for his own shortcomings.

Suddenly, our Cain Dingle love has vanished. Gone. And we’re seeing him for what he really is – an abusive, stubborn man who’s too set in his toxic ways to ever change.

And for that reason – and frankly we can’t believe we’re saying this but we are – we think it’s time for Cain Dingle to go.

    What do you think?

  • 7 times Emmerdale ruined perfectly happy couples for no reason

7 times Emmerdale ruined perfectly happy couples for no reason

Over the years there have been some iconic Emmerdale couples. And when the writing is done right, we see incredible couples take over the Dales.

But quite often in soaps, storylines tend to go down a route that makes no sense. And our favourite couples often find themselves torn apart.

Just this week this was the case with the adored Emmerdale couple, Cain and Moira. As he waited for his wife to get through brain surgery, Cain found himself drunk and sleeping with Ruby, his brother’s wife.

Our guess is when Moira finds out (which is inevitable in soap world), it will tear the couple apart once again. And for another useless reason. Soaps need to also show happy long-term relationships.

So here is a round-up of some happy couples that found themselves ruined by storylines. While some may have made their way back together, fans will never forget the random break-ups which were very unnecessary.

Kim and Will team up Emmerdale
Emmerdale couples: Kim and Will (Photo by ITV/Shutterstock)

Emmerdale couples 1: Will and Kim

When you think of Kim Tate, you immediately think icon. And when she arrived back in the village in 2019, after 20 years away, she was still the Kim everybody remembered.

But since her return, fans have been treated to a softer side of Kim, which included her finding love with Will Taylor.

The unexpected couple very quickly became adored, and fans were rooting for them to go the distance. After a bumpy day, the couple successfully tied the knot in 2022. But two years later, they’re no longer together.

One of the best things about this Emmerdale couple, was that they always seemed like a team. So when Will had a one-night stand with ex-wife, Rose, viewers were left baffled.

It continued to get ugly between Kim and Will from there as she secretly knew about it and blackmailed him. Then when he discovered it was her, she ended their marriage. The storyline didn’t sit well with fans who thought Kim and Will were much better together.

    Zak and Lisa reunite
Zak and Lisa as a happy Emmerdale couple (Photo by ITV/Shutterstock)

Emmerdale couples 2: Zak and Lisa

One of the most iconic Emmerdale couples would be Zak and Lisa Dingle. When the couple first met in 1996 they were instantly taken with each other. Two years later, they tied the knot.

They were the heart and soul of the Dingle clan, and a truly loved couple through the entirety of the Emmerdale fanbase. For years they were two characters who always put each other and their family first, and wouldn’t dream of anything else. Until Zak’s bizarre affair.

In a storyline that still confuses everybody, Zak strayed from his true love Lisa, and embarked on an affair with Joanie Wright in November 2015.

In true soap fashion the affair was revealed on Christmas Day, temporarily marking the end of Zak and Lisa. The storyline event went as far as Zak and Joanie getting married. But three months into their marriage, Zak finally had the realisation he made a huge mistake.

While the couple reunited and stayed by each other’s side up until Lisa’s tragic death, fans never fully saw them the same way again. And that’s because it was an entirely avoidable plot that made no sense.

Chas and Paddy stroll around the village together

Emmerdale couples 3: Chas and Paddy

This Emmerdale couple kept finding their way back to each other. But their most recent break-up seems to be final, and completely avoidable.

Chas and Paddy rekindled their past relationship in 2017, and the couple went on a heartbreaking journey together. Their baby was diagnosed with bilateral renal agenesis, a condition that prevents the kidneys from developing properly. With no chance of survival they said goodbye moments after Grace was born.

But then they had Eve Dingle, and it gave them some happiness back into their lives. All seemed as well as it could be. So when Chas had an affair with Al Chapman, it ruined the couple.

It was an unnecessary plot-line, especially after all they had been through together. While they may be amicable friends now, breaking up their relationship was disappointing.

David and Tracy support each other through difficult times

    4. David and Tracy

David and Tracy seemed like a happy family throughout their time together. They supported each other through the troubling situations they faced.

When David was diagnosed with cancer in 2016, Tracy was there to support him through every step. Then David proposed to her many times before she finally accepted.

But just when things seemed to be going well for the happily married couple, something changed. Not only did David cheat on her with Leyla, he also failed to support her when she was being harassed by an old client.

This all culminated in Tracy leaving him. But fans all wonder, was it really necessary to go down that route? They were happily married.

Robert and Aaron propose to each other
Robert and Aaron before cheating storyline (Photo by ITV/Shutterstock)

    5. Robert and Aaron

This one still stings for a lot of Emmerdale fans, as the much-loved Robron were temporarily torn apart because Robert cheated on Aaron, while he was in prison. Which just so happened to have been a huge concern of Aaron’s that Robert kept assuring would never happen.

The couple had faced so much over their years together, and still are one of Emmerdale’s most loved couples. Aaron eventually forgave Robert, and the pair reunited.

But after the unnecessary one-night stand, it was impossible to understand why the storyline had to take that direction, instead of allowing them to just be happy.

Even years after their last break-up, if Robert returned to our screens, we’re sure fans would immediately want them back together.

Nate and Tracy made up and broke up more times than necessary (Credit: ITV)

    6. Tracy and Nate

Tracy found herself at the centre of another cheating scandal – but this time she was the one cheating. Her and Nate were happily married, with their daughter Frankie.

But after less than a year of marriage, Tracy decided they aren’t actually compatible together, and left him. However, the last while of their relationship she had been having an affair with his uncle Caleb.

They reconnected after a while, but things were never the same, and when Nate wanted to leave the village, the pair ended their relationship for good.

Charity and Vanessa as a happy Emmerdale couple

    7. Charity and Vanessa

Another Emmerdale couple that will go down in history is Vanity. Charity and Vanessa were another unexpected pair. But they worked perfectly together.

When they got engaged, Emmerdale fans were beyond thrilled. But they never made it down the aisle.

While the writers wrote their break-up into the show to facilitate Michelle Hardwick’s maternity leave, fans couldn’t help but wonder if there was a different way to do it.

Charity cheating on Vanessa with Mackenzie – who she is in a relationship with now – just felt like a disservice to a pairing that was so adored by fans.

Dingles destroyed? All the storylines that need changing in order to save the iconic family

The Dingles have been at the heart of some of Emmerdale‘s biggest storylines for three decades.

Whether it’s babies, weddings, affairs, scams, shocks and even sieges, the Dingles have been involved.

The Dingles and Emmerdale are so intertwined that it’s hard to think of a favourite storyline from the last 30 years that they weren’t part of.

    Until now.

    Are the Dingles broken?

Because though the Dingles are still part of the show’s biggest storylines currently, the fans aren’t liking it. Not one bit.

In fact, many Emmerdale fans have taken to social media to accuse the soap’s bosses of ruining the whole family.

What is it that’s got the viewers’ backs up? And what needs to change? Well, where do we start?!

Cain and Ruby destroy the Dingles

Of course there was this week’s shock twist when Cain slept with his sister-in-law Ruby while his wife Moira was having a life-saving brain tumour operation.

The fans didn’t like that one bit (nor did we!).

“You’re expecting too much of your loyal viewers,” one fan grumbled while another simply said: “We don’t like this story.”

Can the soap bring the Dingles back from this? Well, they could make Cain and Ruby sleeping together all a dream

    Ruining the whole family

Once the Cain and Ruby storyline hit, it was as though that had been the final straw for those loyal viewers. Because suddenly, everyone was complaining about the Dingles!

“Do the writers just hate the Dingles now?” asked one disgruntled viewer.

“They messed up the Belle storyline, now this,” complained another.

Belle and Tom needs to finish

While Belle’s domestic abuse storyline started well, with actors Eden Taylor Draper and James Chase being applauded for their acting, the interest in Belle’s ordeal has begun to drop off.

Fans didn’t like Belle being the one to lash out when she hit Tom with the axe. They’re fed up with Amelia simpering over Tom, with Tom’s unrepentant swagger around the village, and frankly they want to see the manipulative abuser behind bars already.

Fortunately, justice is just around the corner for Tom. But is it too late for fans?

And that’s not the half of it!

    Uncomfortable viewing?

Viewers, who were devoted to Aaron and Robert as a couple, aren’t impressed with Aaron starting a romance with John – Robert’s long-lost half-brother.

“It’s just uncomfortable,” one fan shuddered.

    Mack and Charity

No love for Mack and Charity!

Fans also hate Charity and Mack together, with a LOT of viewers wishing they’d been the relationship chosen to be put under stress rather than the fan fave Coira!

“You destroy one of the best partnerships but yet Mack and Charity…are still together,” one fan pointed out.

Is it time to just split Mack and Charity up and get Vanity back together?

Tina’s a disaster for the Dingles

    And there’s more!

Viewers were also unimpressed with the return of Tina Dingle. And that was before she was revealed to be Vinny’s real mum in a twist that we still don’t completely understand.

But while they weren’t loving the storyline, they also weren’t loving the fact that it was done and dusted in a couple of episodes

Though one fan possibly spoke for all of us when they wrote: “Glad that’s over.”

Tina’s gone – and perhaps, for the sake of the Dingles, she should stay gone!

    What next for the Dingles?

With things looking bleak for just about every Dingle, it’s hard to know what can be done to make things better. Like all fans, we love to look back on the good old days and think fondly of Robron, or Vanity. We go misty eyed over the glory days of Emmerdale, like last month before the whole Vinny fiasco, or last week before Cain had slept with Ruby.

Hopefully, this is just a bad patch for the Dingles and they’ll be back on top of their game soon and for another 30 years!
