Eric Pollard to take his own life as his Parkinson’s symptoms worsen, predict fans as they question whether he is leaving Emmerdale

Fans of Emmerdale have predicted that Eric Pollard will take his own life, following recent scenes that have seen him struggling with his Parkinson’s symptoms.

Last year, Eric was diagnosed with the neurological condition. He originally kept it a secret, but finally shared the news with his partner Brenda.

With Eric struggling lately, Emmerdale fans are predicting that they are setting things up for a sad ending.

    What happened to Eric?

Earlier in the week, Eric suffered from the shakes when he went to confront Caleb over the number of lorries travelling through the village.

However, in Wednesday’s episode (November 13), Caleb became an ally after he realised how much Eric was struggling.

Eric didn’t turn up for work because he couldn’t get his legs to move in order to get out of bed. When he finally managed to get himself out, he walked into the village in his pyjamas and slippers, where he was found by Caleb.

Caleb took Eric to see Dr Liam, who told Eric he was suffering from something called freezing. While Eric believed his Parkinson’s was worsening, Liam reassured him that wasn’t the case. The problem is actually that there is a shortage of the medication that Eric requires.

It was clear that Eric didn’t like the idea of being somebody’s problem. Could that realisation cause him to take his own life? Fans certainly think so.

Fans predict Eric Pollard will take his own life

Taking to X, fans were quick to jump on the idea that Eric will take his own life. “Who’s willing to bet Eric books Dignitas?” wrote one fan, referring to the Swiss organisation that provides physician-assisted suicide.

Another echoed the thought, writing: “Emmerdale. I see a Dignitas storyline coming…” While a third fan added: “ Euthanasia storyline incoming then?!”

A fourth fan wrote: “I reckon Eric’s going to commit suicide,” while other fans expressed their sadness that Eric might be leaving. “Hope this isn’t leading to Eric’s exit,” one said.

Chris Chittell, who plays Eric, is married to co-star Lesley Dunlop in real life. It was recently announced that Lesley, who plays Brenda, will be leaving the soap. Could a double exit be on the cards?

  • Denise Welch’s casting in the Belle plot prompts a very strong reaction among Emmerdale fans – and they are really not happy

Denise Welch’s casting in the Belle plot prompts a very strong reaction among Emmerdale fans – and they are really not happy

The news that Denise Welch will be joining Emmerdale as part of Belle and Tom‘s abuse story has not gone down well with fans.

The year long story, which has seen Belle subjected to abuse by husband Tom, is thankfully coming to an end next month.

The conclusion will air in a special hour-long episode. However, fans are disappointed that Denise Welch will be part of it.

    Denise Welch to join Emmerdale

Loose Women panellist Denise Welch is no stranger to the world of soap. She has appeared in most of them in fact! Denise played Natalie Barnes in Coronation Street and Trish Minniver in Hollyoaks. She also had a guest stint in EastEnders as Alison Slater, as well as playing French teacher Steph Haydock in Waterloo Road.

It’s now been revealed that she’ll be appearing in Emmerdale. Speaking on Loose Women about the role, Denise said: “It’s a one-off one hour special and it’s the first time Emmerdale have ever done it. And for those of you who are fans of Emmerdale, there is a very powerful year-long story of domestic abuse. Which of course, appealed to me when I knew I’d be part of it because of [Loose Women’s domestic abuse campaign] Facing It Together, and this is a culmination of that story.

“So the episode takes place exclusively between the court and the jury and I am one of the head’s of the jury called Heidi.”

The special hour-long episode will highlight the real-life voices of domestic abuse victims and survivors. It will also feature Casualty star Charles Dale and Jack Ellis, who played Jim Fenner in Bad Girls. But it’s Denise’s casting that has prompted the strongest reaction.

    Fan reaction

Taking to the Emmerdale Insider Facebook page, fans of the show were quick to share their thoughts. And most expressed disappointment at the news. They accused the soap of “scraping the barrel”.

“What the hell do they want her in it for?” asked one fan. Another added: “Her voice is worse than Mandy’s.”

A third viewer wrote: “Hope not, she spoils everything she goes in.” A fourth echoed the sentiment and wrote: “She will spoil Emmerdale.”

Other fans threatened to stop watching the soap, with one saying: “Don’t make me stop watching something I have watched forever.” Others were straight to the point, simply writing, “Can’t stand her.”

Will she win Emmerdale fans round?

Emmerdale is not on tonight – here’s why and when it’s back

Unfortunately for fans of Emmerdale, the soap will not be airing tonight. In a change to the usual TV schedule, ITV will be showing UEFA Nations League football instead.

Last night’s episode (Wednesday, November 13) saw Eric struggling without the usual supply to his Parkinson’s medication and Jai started to realise that Caleb may have scammed him. Viewers can see what happens next when Emmerdale returns on Friday.

Here’s everything you need to know as well as what’s coming up on Emmerdale.

    Emmerdale is not on tonight

Between 7pm and 10pm tonight, ITV will be airing coverage of the UEFA Nations League football match between Greece and England.

As is often the case when England are playing, the regular TV schedule gives way, which, unfortunately for soap fans means there is no Emmerdale tonight (Thursday, November 14).

Emmerdale will be back in its regular 7.30pm slot on Friday, November 15. However previous episodes of Emmerdale and Classic Emmerdale are available to stream on ITVX.

    What’s coming up in Emmerdale?

Friday’s episode will see more of evil Tom. This time, Paddy is the target. Paddy is left feeling compromised when Tom threatens to air his dirty laundry unless he gets his job back at the vets.

Meanwhile, Ruby and Caleb’s estranged daughter Steph makes a big impression when she lands in the village next week.

Steph and Ruby have a showdown, where mother and daughter lay into each other. Ruby lashes out and slaps Steph, resulting in Steph walking out.

Caleb and Ruby later spot Steph leaving the B&B with Ross Barton. Have they slept together?

Elsewhere, Emmerdale will air a special episode for Moira and Cain. As Moira has her operation, the episode will follow Cain throughout the day. However, it’ll be told in reverse chronological order starting with Caleb finding Cain drunk and with blood on his hands.

  • What’s wrong with Eric Pollard in Emmerdale? His Parkinson’s battle and health decline as fans fear he’s going to die

What’s wrong with Eric Pollard in Emmerdale? His Parkinson’s battle and health decline as fans fear he’s going to die

Eric Pollard is clearly struggling with his health on-screen in Emmerdale right now. But as he appears to be in decline, what exactly is wrong with him? Is this a sign his Parkinson’s is worsening? Or is there something else afoot?

What’s wrong with Eric Pollard in Emmerdale?

Emmerdale’s longest-serving character, Eric Pollard is currently going through the mill with his health. Struggling with the stress Caleb’s new depot empire is bringing to his daily life with reems of lorries running back and forth along the road by his house, Pollard lost it on Monday.

When Caleb was dismissive over Eric’s complaints and refused to take him seriously, Pollard took action. He jumped into one of the lorries. But he suffered hand tremors and crashed the vehicle into some crates. Pollard was clearly worried about the state of himself as he couldn’t stop shaking.

Last night (Tuesday November 12) Pollard desperately tried to get a doctor’s appointment to get to the bottom of what was wrong. However he couldn’t get through on the phone and caused a scene in the surgery demanding Ella’s help. He was escorted out by Wendy and Bear.

Things come to head tonight when Pollard can’t get out of bed and is then found wandering the road alone in his slippers by Caleb. Caleb takes him to Liam’s house, but will the good doc come up with a diagnosis? What is wrong with Pollard?

Emmerdale's Eric is sad as he stands in a field alone

Eric diagnosed with Parkinson’s in Emmerdale

Exactly a year ago, in November 2023, Pollard revealed he had been diagnosed with Parkinson’s. Eric first confided in Mandy about his illness, but begged her to keep it a secret. He refused to tell partner Brenda, son David or grandson Jacob.

He confessed that he’d been experiencing numbness and tingling as well as being less steady on his feet.

Emmerdale worked closely with the charity Parkinson’s UK to portray the story as accurately as possible. The soap assured viewers the story would play out on screen over a long period of time.

At the time Emmerdale Producer Laura Shaw said: “When Eric Pollard is diagnosed with Parkinson’s he’s naturally very scared and unsure of what the condition means for his future. The unique position of a show like Emmerdale means we can tell this story really authentically over a long period of time and we can really shine a light on what a diagnosis like this means and follow Pollard on his journey of learning to live with it.

“Working closely with Parkinson’s UK, who have been guiding us through every step of the way, we hope seeing Pollard’s story helps to raise awareness of Parkinson’s and show the day to day reality of those living with it, as well as the impact it can have on friends, family and the local community.”

Eric Pollard actor, Chris Chittell said: “I feel really privileged to be given this storyline. Parkinson’s is indiscriminate, deceptive and wickedly unkind targeting so many. I want to do this storyline justice for the most courageous of people who are having to bear the brunt of this condition.”

Is Eric Pollard going to die in Emmerdale?

This week’s scenes have concerned fans who have speculated Pollard might die. It comes after a freshly dug grave was spotted on set by a fan on the Emmerdale tour. The grave is positioned next to his beloved wife Val – could this mean something? With Pollard clearly unwell, viewers have started to wonder.

One fan commented on X: “Emmerdale are so setting up Eric’s death this is so sad.” Another added: “Don’t like Eric getting bad when it’s nearly Christmas. Don’t want a Christmas death.”

In fact, tonight we will discover Pollard does not have access to his usual medication due to a shortage. That and the stress caused by his altercation with Caleb are what is escalating his symptoms. But can Liam help Pollard get back on top of this?

It’s not long before defiant Eric is back working in the shop, much to Caleb’s surprise. He’s not giving up yet!

And with a Christmas wedding on the horizon for him and Brenda there’s still life in Pollard yet. However, Brenda is also said to be leaving after 16 years, so chances are there’s also more drama ahead too.

  • As Aaron disappears from screens, Emmerdale fans have beef with his current storylines and they want changes

As Aaron disappears from screens, Emmerdale fans have beef with his current storylines and they want changes

As Aaron disappears from screens, Emmerdale fans have beef with his current storylines and they want changes.

When it comes to Aaron, he’s either getting into a scrap, sobbing his eyes out, or being thrown into a new relationship as part of his central storylines.

But, following Aaron’s latest injuries, fans have had enough of the same old story. They’re hoping for a change in Aaron’s storylines, switching up the record for viewers.

John and Aaron talk, but it doesn't go well (Credit: ITV)
It’s a tough life for Aaron (Credit: ITV)

Aaron Dingle storylines – from romances to fights

Recently on Emmerdale, Aaron found himself caught up in Ross and Billy’s boxing match trouble. He’d attended the fight to help in case anything went wrong but this kind act backfired on him massively. Ouch.

With John telling everyone the police were on their way, Aaron ended up getting punched to the ground by Deano. John came to his rescue, with Aaron then heading to hospital for a short stay (would it be a soap if it was any longer?!)

Aside from getting beaten up, Aaron’s also been creating sparks with his ex-husband’s brother – John Sugden. Eek.

It hasn’t been the smoothest of starts for the pair but they’ve clearly got more chemistry to explore…

Fans are finding Aaron’s storylines boring (Credit: ITV)

Fans beg for change as repetitive Aaron storylines air

Poor Aaron never has it easy. He’s always getting himself into dangerous situations or putting his heart on the line with a new love interest.

Now, fans have noticed that other than dragging Aaron out for a fight or throwing him into a relationship, Aaron isn’t included in many other storylines.

Despite fighting for his life last week, current scenes have an Aaron shaped hole in them. And, when he is, it’s just in scenes he shares with John.

Fans are hoping that change is on its way, and Aaron will finally be involved in other storylines that don’t just involve him ending up with a huge cut on his face and that don’t define him just by the relationship he’s in.

One fan complained: “I think they don’t know what to do with Aaron and the easiest thing is to put him in a ‘relationship’, use Robert like plot device, because they know that most of us want him to come back, and there are also clicks, written articles, etc.”

A second viewer agreed: “So no Aaron tonight, not surprising. Yesterday had a feeling that they have wrapped it up nicely with a bow having pushed Aaron/John along into living together & that’s all we’re getting for the moment. I look forward to an actual story line for him hopefully soon.”

A third person shared: “I had the same feeling unless the boxing SL with ‘John the Grass’ continues soon.”

  • ‘The old Cain is back’ cheer fans as they swoon over his smoking hot scenes

‘The old Cain is back’ cheer fans as they swoon over his smoking hot scenes

Cain Dingle proved there’s still some of the bad boy left in last night’s Emmerdale when he set Tina’s caravan on fire. And fans loved it!

Despite all of the Dingles having had enough of Tina, Cain was the one who took decisive action. But has Tina now gone for good?

Cain burns Tina’s caravan in Emmerdale

Tina proved what a money hungry, selfish person she has now become on Tuesday November 12. She refused to apologise to Vinny for lying about being his mum or abandoning him when he was a baby.

Vinny then gave her an ultimatum – take £50k in exchange for Zak’s will and leave forever, or stay and be his mum. Tina barely hesitated as she took the money and handed over Zak’s will. Only, Vinny had tricked her and inside the envelope was just cut-up paper.

She tried hard to fight back, but Vinny knew exactly where he stood and demanded she get out and never come back.

However it turned out she only went as far as her caravan! She sat there, in the Dingles’ driveway, defiant she would get what she was owed. She also dropped the bombshell she has more kids, leaving Vinny stunned at the prospect of siblings.

Cain then decided enough was enough and took action. He poured petrol all over the place and threatened to light it. Tina told him not to and begged the Dingles to get Cain to stop. They didn’t, they just stood and watched. When Tina refused to give an inch, Cain lit the place on fire.

The caravan went up in flames as Cain stalked off saying: “Some people just can’t take a hint,” leaving Tina shocked and speechless.

    Fans react to Cain

The glimpse of the old, no nonsense Cain was enough to get fans hot under the collar – if you pardon the pun!

“Bloomin’ love Cain! No mambypamby faffing around. Just gets in there and gets stuff sorted,” said on on social media.

Another agreed, sharing heart-eyed emojis they said: “There he is! Oh how I’ve missed the old Cain.”

“Omg… that’s the Cain we all love…” said one more, with a fourth adding: “Yes Cain, I love him like this.”

“That is my favourite walking away from explosion meme ever!!!! Cain the gangster back!!” enthused a fifth.

Someone else said: “Gotta say, an angry Cain is…” followed by a fire emoji.

    Has Tina left Emmerdale?

Tina now has no home, no family backing, no copy of Zak’s will – frankly she has nothing. So what’s left for her? She’s not made herself popular with anyone and even those watching at home are disappointed with the ‘new’ Tina calling her nothing like the old one.

She’s certainly not the Tina we know and love from Classic Emmerdale days. But given her new personality, we wouldn’t put it past her to stick around and keep fighting.

Actress Samantha Power suggested this was only a short stint, but with the news of her other children, could she make a more permanent comeback with her Dingle brood?

Emmerdale kids gone bad: Angel confesses she thinks she’s evil, but she’s not the only one – from Lachlan White to Tom King

Emmerdale kids have been getting into trouble as long as the show has been on the air!

Right now, Angelica King is struggling with the reality of being back in the village after serving her sentence for killing Heath in the car accident.

In Monday’s episode her mum Nicola discovered the teen is worried that she is evil.

    Emmerdale kids gone bad!

While Angel wrestles with the guilt of what happened, we were thinking that she’s definitely not the first Emmerdale teenager to go bad. Here’s a round-up of the other youngsters who went right off the rails…

Robert Sugden looking moody with Cain and Jimmy (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)
Nice boy Robert Sugden turned moody and aggressive by his teens (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)

    Robert Sugden

Robert Sugden had lost two mums by the time he reached his teens, and caught his dad cheating, so in some ways it’s no surprise that all that heartbreak made him cold and manipulative.

As a younger teen, Robert was involved in the car accident that left a teacher dead – more on that later. He didn’t learn his lesson, though, as just a couple of years later he crashed his car and scarpered, leaving girlfriend Elaine unconscious. Then he lied about it! He even had a romance with much older Nicola Blackstock (now King). URGH.

Teenage Robert had a feud with his adopted brother Andy, that led to all sorts of trouble over the years. He seduced Andy’s fiancée Katie, and they began an affair. Later, Katie and Robert got engaged, but he cheated on her. And when his feud with Andy led to Max King’s death in – you guessed it – another car accident, Robert left the village and didn’t return properly for another nine years.

Andy's arson attack caused all sorts of trouble (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)
Andy’s arson attack caused all sorts of trouble (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)

    Andy Sugden

Andy and Robert were once best friends – that’s why the Sugden family took Andy in as a troubled youngster. But Robert’s jealousy made things tricky as Andy tried his best to prove he was a proper member of the family.

Unfortunately for Andy and his adopted mum Sarah, that meant him torching the barn in a misguided attempt to solve the family’s financial troubles. Unbeknownst to Andy, Sarah was inside the barn. She died and though Jack got the blame at first, it was Andy who eventually ‘fessed up. Robert never really forgave him.

Lachlan White [THOMAS ATKINSON] has returned from his holiday and is relieved when Belle Dingle [EDEN TAYLOR-DRAPER] explains she doesn't listen to rumours. After having been tipped off over Belle's whereabouts, Lisa Dingle [JANE COX] orders her away from Lachlan who is mortified. Lachlan shouts over to Alicia Metcalfe [NATALIE ANDERSON], begging her to tell the truth
Lachlan sexually assaulted Alicia (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)

    Lachlan White

Troubled and troublesome teen Lachlan was the son of Chrissie White and Robert Sugden’s stepson.

Lachlan was awkward and odd, but when he first came to the village he was sweetly supportive to Belle Dingle and encouraged her to get help for her mental health issues.

But it was when he befriended Jacob Gallagher that things took a turn. Lachlan became overly interested in Jacob’s mum, Alicia, and even bought her an expensive handbag as a present, which Alicia returned. Lachlan sexually assaulted Alicia, and eventually his mum Chrissie reported him to the police.

That was only the start for Lachlan. He went on to shoot his grandfather Lawrence, kill his mum and Lawrence in a car crash he caused, murder fan fave Gerry and a conman who was posing as Gerry’s uncle, and kidnap his aunt Rebecca and hold her hostage!

    Thankfully, Lachlan’s now behind bars!

Emmerdale kids gone back: The teens in 2002

In 2002, the village teens – Robert and Andy Sugden, Ollie and Marc Reynolds, Donna Windsor, Katie Addyman and Eve Birch – planned a night out in Hotten.

When they missed the last bus home, Andy tried to impress his mates by stealing a car. Marc got behind the wheel and they set off for home, only to hit someone walking in the road.

Horrified, the joyriders realised they had hit and killed their headteacher, Miss Strickland!

They torched the car and covered up what they’d done, as the village mourned the loss. But Marc’s conscience got the better of him and despite the others trying to stop him, he went to the police.

He tried to take the full blame but his friends admitted they were also involved.

Marc was sent to Young Offenders, just like Angelica, while the other teens got community service.

    Thomas King at Carl's funeral

    Tom King

Back in 2013, Tom King was known as Thomas and he had a vendetta against his dad Carl’s ex, Chas Dingle.

Chas had recently been found not guilty of murdering Carl. She didn’t kill him – that had been Dales serial killer, Cameron Murray – though she had believed she’d committed the crime for a while.

But even after Chas was let off, Thomas still thought she was guilty. He began a campaign of harassment against Chas, sending her creepy photos with the eyes scratched out, throwing bottles at her, trashing the pub living room and generally making her life a misery. And it looks like he hasn’t changed a bit!

No, we’re not sure why she didn’t bring this up when Belle got together with him, either!

  • Emmerdale newcomer Georgia Jay spills the beans on Steph’s arrival and exactly why she hates her mum, Ruby

Emmerdale newcomer Georgia Jay spills the beans on Steph’s arrival and exactly why she hates her mum, Ruby

Earlier this month, it was confirmed that Caleb and Ruby’s daughter Steph Miligan will soon be arriving in Emmerdale. Actress Georgia Jay has now teased what’s in store.

Steph has nothing to do with her parents, but was in touch with her late grandmother.

Arriving alongside Steph will be Ruby’s dad Anthony. But just what is their family history and why does Ruby hate her mum so much?

Ruby, Caleb, Steph and Anthony on Emmerdale
Steph and Anthony are coming to Emmerdale (Credit: ITV)

Who is Steph Miligan in Emmerdale?

Steph is ‘smart, confident and completely reckless.’ Steph hasn’t seen either of her parents in over a decade, but shares all the best and worst parts of their personalities.

Despite not being close to her parents, Steph was, however, in touch with her grandmother Helen. Helen recently passed away and left everything in her will to Steph, which came as a big surprise to Ruby.

Speaking to Emmerdale Insider and other media about Steph’s introduction story, Georgia Jay said: “She’s definitely not there to stay. It’s a kind of ‘come in, I want something, and I’m gonna leave’ kind of thing.

“She wants nothing to do with them [Ruby and Caleb]. She just wants to get the [inheritance] money and go.”
Also speaking about the new arrivals, Emmerdale producer Sophie Roper also said: “With so much yet to discover about Ruby, the arrival of her father and daughter will unlock her past and see Ruby and Caleb tested in ways we’ve never seen before. With two actors of such great calibre, they’re certainly set to make their mark on the Dales.”
Steph's arrival will cause a stir in Emmerdale (Credit: ITV)

Why does Steph hate her mother?

There is a lot of resentment in the Miligan family and Georgia and Will Ash have both said this goes back to Steph’s childhood when she was sent to boarding  school to ‘straighten her out.’ After that, she then felt unable to forgive her mum Ruby for this.

“When she does come back, it’s definitely that feeling of resentment for the abandonment. She’s never felt loved. She feels hurt and she’s not prepared to let that go,” Georgia said.

She added: “She was much more of a daddy’s girl. I think growing up, being quite similar to Ruby, the clash was there and naturally Caleb and Steph had a very good relationship. And, when she went to boarding school, it was very much the decision of Ruby.” Sounds like we should expect some fireworks.

Denise Welch is joining Emmerdale for the finale of the dramatic Belle and Tom storyline, according to reports. And she’ll be joined by some other telly legends, too!

Belle Dingle’s abuse at the hands of controlling husband Tom King is coming to an end – thank goodness. And Emmerdale has lined up an all-star cast for the finale of the dramatic storyline, including former Coronation Street star Denise!

Belle’s ordeal will come to an end in a special hour-long episode airing this December, highlighting the real-life voices of domestic abuse victims and survivors.

Now Metro is reporting that the special episode will also feature an all-star cast.

Denise Welch will play a juror as Belle takes on Tom in court. Denise is known for playing Natalie Barnes in Coronation Street, along with Trish Minniver in Hollyoaks, Alison Slater in EastEnders, and Steph Haydock in Waterloo Road.

And she’s a regular panellist on chat show Loose Women.

Soap stars also joining the cast

Charles Dale will also join the line-up for the special episode. He’s best known as Big Mac from Casualty, but he also starred in Corrie as Dennis Stringer.

Bad Girls star Jack Ellis, who played prison officer Jim Fenner, also joins the cast for the Emmerdale special episode.

He also played bookie Harry Mason on Coronation Street back in the noughties.

    Will justice be done?

We don’t yet know how the story will end, but Emmerdale Producer Laura Shaw has promised Belle’s ordeal will be over by Christmas.

“When we first embarked on this journey we knew we wanted to show domestic abuse, coercive control and manipulation in all its guises,” said Laura.

“We knew from the outset that Belle would need some sort of closure on Tom. We don’t want to spoil the outcome of this story and reveal what will happen to Tom, but needless to say, Belle’s going to be in a much better place by this Christmas.”

Will it be a happy Christmas for the Belle? We can’t wait to see justice served – hopefully!

  • Fans fear for Pollard’s life as his health takes a turn amidst Christmas death rumours

Fans fear for Pollard’s life as his health takes a turn amidst Christmas death rumours

Fans of Emmerdale have been left in fear for the life of Eric Pollard after his health appeared to be in sharp decline. This came during last night’s episode (Monday, November 11), as Pollard clashed with Caleb over lorries running riot through the village.

Taking umbrage at Caleb’s dismissive tone, Pollard took actions into his own hands. He jumped into one of the lorries and subsequently backed it into a pile of crates. Pollard put on a brave face, but he knew it had been a result of his Parkinson’s symptoms.

Caleb then popped around to see him later, threatening to call the police if he didn’t stop kicking up a fuss over his lorries.

Emmerdale fans worry over Pollard amid Parkinson’s flare-up

Fans took to social media as these scenes aired to share their concerns about Pollard. And some took his visible Parkinson’s symptoms as a bad omen.

“Don’t like Eric getting bad when it’s nearly Christmas. Don’t want a Christmas death,” fretted one fan.

“Eric is gonna die next year,” said another.

“Eric struggling with his Parkinson’s,” pointed out a third.

Have fans been given cause for worry?

    Emmerdale death teased this Christmas

The fears for Pollard come as Metro.co.uk reports a death is imminent in the Dales. They shared pictures from a fan who did the Emmerdale tour and a freshly dug grave could be seen.

The fan reportedly wrote alongside the snaps: “Did the Emmerdale tour on Saturday and we got to meet the gorgeous Billy (Jay Kontzle). We flew in from Dublin first flight in last flight out it was great. Also, there was a fresh GRAVE!!! See pics.

“I told Billy it better not be his grave and he said no but I am in that storyline! – any guesses?????”

So far rumours suggest it could be Leyla who dies when Roxy Shahidi leaves the soap after 16 years. But could it be Eric? Or even Brenda?

Pollard’s health worsens as Brenda exits the dales

Eric’s worsening health comes as the soap announced that actress Lesley Dunlop is set to leave the soap.

A source told The Mirror: “The show has grown a lot bigger in recent years but soaps are expensive to make. It’s inevitable saving money means losing people – but it’s a huge shame all the same for those involved, their friends and colleagues.”

How exactly Brenda will leave remains to be seen, but it may well play into Eric’s ongoing Parkinson’s story.
