It’s coming up to Cain’s birthday and Moira is set on celebrating, despite Matty’s concerns. But someone who is in no mood for a party is the birthday boy himself.

Emmerdale spoilers: Cain lets Moira down again

Moira has her pathology results appointment and understandably wants Cain by her side, so when she realises she has no idea where he is, she postpones them.

However, time is ticking and she can’t keep putting it off, so after a final attempt at getting through to Cain, Moira heads to her appointment alone.

Cain, however, was trying to get back to Moira when he found himself blocked in a parking spot, thanks to Jai.

When he finally gets out, he’s in a rush. And in an unfortunate timing, he is stopped by PC Swirling.

In true Cain fashion, he doesn’t handle the situation well, and his angry approach leads to him being arrested.

Swirling allows the Dingle to have a phone call with Moira, where she is completely thrown to hear he’s at the police station.

While she eases his worries by telling him her results were fine, she admits to Matty that she will need to go through radiotherapy.

Swirling lets Cain off with a warning and while he should head straight home to Moira, he doesn’t.

Instead Liam later finds a drunk Cain in the allotment. Trying to do the right thing, he drops him back home to Moira.

But when Moira is evidently angry at Cain’s behaviour, will Cain’s guilt get even worse?

After revealing to Leyla that he has invested all of his savings into cryptocurrency, it looks like his risks are just set to continue.

As he was in the queue, about to board his new life, DS Foy arrived and arrested him.

But while this means he is behind bars, Tom is not the sort of person to go down without fighting, so could he make another appearance?

Emmerdale spoilers: Caleb begs Ruby to forgive her father or else they will lose everything

In Emmerdale spoilers for next week, Ruby continues to struggle with Anthony being back in her life.

Emmerdale’s newest addition, Anthony, wasted no time in causing a stir in the village, as his daughter, Ruby, wanted nothing to do with him.

Ruby made it clear to everyone in her family that Anthony was not welcome. Viewers know that Ruby’s parents wanted her to have a termination instead of going through with her pregnancy, and kicked her out when she refused.

However, her reaction to Anthony arriving made some fans think there may be a much more sinister backstory between them. As many predict Caleb isn’t Steph’s father.

But now that Steph has brought Anthony back in to Ruby’s life, she seems to go on a downward spiral.

Emmerdale spoilers: Ruby continues to spiral

When Anthony revealed his cancer diagnosis, Ruby was quick to accuse the man of lying for sympathy.

But as time goes on, she is shocked to realise he is telling the truth.

One person who desperately wants them to make amends is Steph. So, she sets out to convince Caleb that they need to clear the air.

Ruby, wanting to keep Steph in her life, decides to try to keep the past behind them. This proves harder than she thought as when Anthony plays happy families with Caleb and Steph, Ruby distances herself.

Anthony catches on that Ruby doesn’t actually mean her forgiveness, and decides to try and convince Steph to leave the village with him for support.

Steph, still wanting her family to reunite, is heartbroken when Anthony doesn’t believe Ruby will ever forgive him for the past.

Not wanting to lose his daughter again, Caleb begs Ruby to put her feelings aside and find a way to tolerate being around Anthony.

Knowing having Steph in their lives is important to both of them, Caleb infoms his wife that this is only possible if she changes her outlook.

But is Ruby able to move on from the past? Is there more about Anthony and Ruby’s history than we know?
