Emmerdale spoilers: John saves Pollard’s life

John is once again hailed a hero in next week’s Emmerdale spoilers after he saves Pollard’s life. The village veteran is on the verge of a terrifying angina attack when John steps in to help. And Liam’s so impressed he offers John a job at the surgery.

John is finding his feet in Emmerdale spoilers

John has decided to try and make a go of a new life in Emmerdale, but things haven’t got off to the smoothest start.

His rude behaviour has rubbed locals up the wrong way and John doesn’t seem like he’s here to make friends. Even poor Victoria, who’s been so desperate to get to know her big brother, hasn’t been able to break through his icy exterior.

Aaron has had slightly better luck, but his affair with John still feels a purely physical thing. John is harbouring big secrets from his past, which he doesn’t want Aaron – or anyone else knowing about.

Are viewers ever going to see the real John?

    John saves Pollard’s life

John puts his experience as an army medic to good use when Eric starts feeling rather unwell.

The Dales legend’s health has taken a knock since being diagnosed with Parkinson’s last year. The news came as a crushing blow for Eric, but it doesn’t seemed to have stopped him getting up to his usual immoral antics.

Pollard is determined to carry on as normal, but events take a terrifying turn when he starts experiencing chest pains. Could he be on his way out?

Thankfully John is at Brook Surgery and recognises the signs of an oncoming angina attack. He takes Eric’s blood pressure then administers a mouth spray to alleviate his chest pains and prevent the attack.

    Liam rewards John’s bravery

Dr Liam is impressed by John’s quick-thinking and thanks him for helping Eric.

Although clearly not comfortable with being centre of attention, John awkwardly enjoys the praise. So when Liam offers him a permanent job, John happily accepts.

Is he finally starting to feel at home in Emmerdale?

John is hiding something in Emmerdale spoilers

He’s been in the village a good few weeks now, but we still know very little about John.

Victoria was overjoyed to discover she had a half-brother she never knew existed and wanted to learn John’s backstory. But unlike excitable Vic, John isn’t an open book. He’s been very reluctant to give any details about his past, which has made it look like he’s got something to hide.

Last month, Victoria discovered a tin box amongst John’s possessions, containing an army dog tag. She questioned John and he admitted he’d been in the forces, but wouldn’t say any more. Later, it was revealed the dog tag had the name ‘Aidan Moore’ inscribed on it. But who is Aidan?

There have been several theories shared amongst fans – these include Aidan being John’s ex-lover, or John himself! But we could be one step closer to learning the truth when Victoria makes a shocking discovery…

Victoria rumbles John and Aaron’s affair

Victoria wants John to know more about his heritage and digs out the old family photos to show him. But John couldn’t be less interested and keeps his eyes on his mobile.

Sick of his rude attitude, Vic snatches John’s phone out of his hands to find out what’s more important. She’s shocked to see her brother has been sending texts to Aaron and realises they’re still sleeping together.

Vic previously caught John and Aaron in a passionate clinch, but both of them swore to her it was a one-off. Now she’s found out John and Aaron have been lying to her and she’s not happy.

In The Woolpack, angry Victoria grills John about his affair with Aaron. But when John storms out of the pub, Vic starts to wonder what else he could be hiding.

Victoria finds out about Aidan Moore

Later that day, a calmer Victoria goes to find John at his van to apologise for her earlier outburst.

She knocks on the vehicle, but when she doesn’t get a response she decides to let herself in. John’s not going to thank her for invading his privacy!

Inside, Victoria comes across the dog tags and reads the name ‘Aidan Moore’ on them. She’s baffled why John would have something belonging to another man.

Moments later, John arrives back and catches Victoria red-handed. He’s furious and wastes no time in chucking his sister out. Will Victoria be able to get the truth out of John and solve the mystery of who Aidan is?

Emmerdale spoilers: Belle makes another devastating discovery about Tom and realises she has to go to the police

Tom remains at large in Emmerdale spoilers

Tom hasn’t been seen or heard from since he disappeared after getting sacked from the vets. And no one seems to know where he is. No one that is apart from Amelia. There’s rumours amongst the locals that Tom is still in contact with the young mum, and the pair have been secretly meeting.

This is of course alarming news, particularly for Belle, who knows how dangerous Tom is.

Belle is slowly trying to readjust to life after the horrors of the past few weeks. She’s moved out of the home she shared with Tom and back in with the Dingles at Wishing Well.

But Belle is forced to return to the scene of such heartache after Kim calls to say Dale Head has been turned upside down. Is Tom behind the carnage? Of course he is!

Belle and Lydia make a horrifying discovery

With Lydia by her side, Belle bravely lets herself into Dale Head to see what’s going on.

As confirmed by Kim earlier, the place is an absolute tip. But as Belle starts looking through the mess she discovers a screw on the floor from a mini camera. Belle’s blood runs cold as she realises Tom must have set the device up to spy on her, and wonders how many more of them they were.

The following day, Lydia tentatively encourages Belle to go to the police and report him for violating her privacy. But the thought of having relive such traumatic experiences and share personal footage in court is more than Belle can bear.

Lydia tries again, but Belle is adamant she can’t go through with reporting Tom.

Belle turns to Lydia for help

After taking a little time to reflect on things, Belle starts to realise what she must do.

She turns to Lydia for advice, and asks if she’ll share her experience of reporting rapist Craig Reed to the police. Lydia agrees, and starts reliving the harrowing details of her ordeal. It’s a deeply painful experience, but one which Lydia hopes will help Belle make the right choice about Tom.

That evening, the ladies reflect on their difficult day as they gaze across the Dingle land. In that poignant moment they are united in their support for one another.

All Lydia can do now is hope she’s said enough to encourage Belle to take action. Can she find the courage to tell the police about Tom?

3 spoilers for tonight, Tuesday September 17: Amy pleads with Amelia to realise Tom is an evil abuser

Amelia is standing by abuser Tom, but in Emmerdale spoilers for tonight Amy tries to get her to listen to reason. Is Amelia finally going to realise she’s been taken in by the evil King?

All this and more in Emmerdale on Tuesday September 17.

Amelia is still standing by Tom in Emmerdale spoilers

    1. Amelia has fallen under Tom’s wicked spell

Thanks to Belle’s bravery, the village now knows what kind of a monster Tom King is. Belle revealed her harrowing ordeal to Charity and Cain, both of whom have promised to be by her side if, and when, she goes to the police. We’re hoping it’s the latter.

Others have also believed Belle’s truth. Rhona and Vanessa were appalled and dismissed Tom from the vets with immediate effect. After being fired, Tom fled the village and has been laying low, getting Amelia to carry out his dirty work.

The gullible lass still believes her boyfriend couldn’t have been abusing Belle. Anyone who’s dared say a word against Tom – Chas, Kerry and Amy we’re looking at you – has got it in the neck from Amelia.

She just cannot and will not see Tom for who he really is.

    2. Amy makes an alarming discovery

Amelia is still raging after her latest run-in with Kerry.

The Geordie motormouth was unable to hold back in her criticism of Tom, and Amelia didn’t take kindly to it. Amy knows Kerry’s bullish approach is the wrong one if they’re going to get through to Amelia. She thinks a more tactful, reasoned address is what is needed.

But even she’s unable to hold back after hearing Amelia defending Tom, yet again.

    3. Amy tries to get through to Amelia

Amy is deeply concerned when she overhears Amelia ranting to Vanessa about Tom’s ‘unfair’ dismissal from the surgery. It’s another realisation of how powerful Tom’s grip is over the young barmaid, and it’s getting tighter.

Later, Amy sits down with Amelia to have a calm one-to-one. She brings up the subject of Tom, which instantly makes Amelia uncomfortable.

But there’s a flicker of doubt across her face when Amy gently explains that Tom may be lying to her. Can Amy get through to Amelia and make her see Tom for the vile bully he is? We certainly hope so.

The type of brain tumour that Moira has is a meningioma. It’s the reason she’s been suffering from symptoms such as seizures, erratic outbursts, confusion and memory loss.

As the week begins, Moira is still struggling to come to terms with her illness. She knows it’s going to be a long and difficult road ahead.

    1. The terror continues at Butlers

A deadly blaze has ripped through the barn at Butlers, putting numerous lives at risk. The fire began during a showdown between Moira Dingle and Ruby Fox-Miligan.

Moira is in the grips of a health crisis, even though no one knows what’s wrong with her. But don’t get us started on that one.

When Ruby confronted Moira at Butlers she started to hear the voice of her old nemesis, Emma Barton. Freaked out, Moira fired her shotgun and hit a lightbulb, which caused a fire to ignite.

Moira and Ruby were trapped as the barn went up in flames. Mack and John rushed to the rescue and risked their own lives by entering the burning building. Cain and Chas were next to arrive at the scene along with Caleb and Will.

After John and Mack dragged Ruby out, Cain ran into the barn to save his wife. But then the whole place exploded and they hadn’t got out. As devastated Chas screams for her brother, will he and Moira survive the blast or is that the end for them?

    3. Matty faces an agonising wait

Stood with the rest of the terrified villagers is Moira’s son, Matty.

He knows Moira was caught up in the inferno, but has no idea if she’s dead or alive. Matty has had to deal with terrible tragedy in his life. His father John was killed in a car crash and his sister Holly succumbed to a heroin overdose. Those Bartons are certainly a cursed clan.

Is Matty about to lose his mum too?
