    Emmerdale spoilers: Aaron’s guilt increases

At the beginning of the week, John helps Aaron cover up what happened with Anthony. Working together the pair manage to get all of his belongings out of the house. And very conveniently Cain’s closing the garage for a few days which means that it’s the perfect place for the man’s car.

But despite all of this, John ends up spotting the bloody tooth still laying in the depot. And when he tries to get it, he is halted by an accusatory Caleb.

It seems, John isn’t the only one in a tricky situation, as Aaron is haunted by what he had done. And so he heads straight to see Ruby.

When she answers the door she is shocked to see him. And panicking, Ruby is left with either listening to what he has to say, or terrible consequences. So she lets him in.

    Aaron confesses to Ruby

Aaron takes the opportunity to open up about his history with self-harm, and how he feels about his own dad who sexually abused him when he was younger.

But Ruby struggles to listen to what he has to say, and a tortured Aaron can’t deal with her attempts to bolster the situation.

So the only thing left for him to do is confess. He tells Ruby that he has killed Anthony. And it’s safe to say she is left well and truly stunned.

But just how will she react? And will Aaron feel better now that the truth is out there?

    Emmerdale spoilers: John helps Aaron

Knowing they have to make it look like Anthony has left by his own choice, Aaron and John take great care in getting all of his things out.

How do they do this without someone seeing them? Well that’s where John starts to step up to his boyfriend duties.

With everything that’s gone on, John offers to buy Ruby a coffee. Which gives Aaron enough time to break in to their house and gather all of Anthony’s belongings.

Having to make it look like Anthony had left, Aaron also takes his care keys. But then is on edge wondering what exactly to do.

This is when John and Aaron spot Cain closing the garage for a few days. Which just so happens to be the perfect temporary solution for their plan.

When Aaron begins stripping down the car, John watches him with great concern.

    Will they be caught?

Aaron’s worry over what he had done begins to creep in, but John is there to assure him they got rid of all of the evidence at the Depot.

One thing that’s clear, John is enjoying being Aaron’s rock.

When he pretends to be doing a health and safety initiative for the Depot, John takes the chance to look around for anything they may have missed. And he is horrified to spot the tooth.

Trying to remain calm, John attempts to retrieve it. But a sudden appearance of an accusatory Caleb halts him.

What will he do? And will Caleb find out the truth?

    1. Laurel seeks guidance

The start of the week saw Laurel hit Anthony over the head with a candlestick in a bid to save Nicola, after she discovered he wasn’t trusted around kids.

Though he walked away – with a bad head injury – he was murdered by someone else and so he failed to turn back up.

Now as Laurel is convinced she is responsible for the vile man’s disappearance, she struggles to cope.

Knowing there could be only one place for her to go, Laurel turns to her religion and seeks guidance on what to do next.

    2. Steph’s suspicious

Steph may be the only person who cares about Anthony’s disappearance, but that’s purely because she doesn’t know the horrible truth.

However, she makes it her mission to find out who knows where he is. And so when she notices a tense atmosphere between Caleb and Ruby, she asks if they know anything.

What will their response be? And will Steph ever discover that Anthony is dead?

    3. Evidence hides in plain sight

Last night’s episode saw Aaron beat Anthony up and leave him. And when he returned, the man was dead.

Aaron may have had John’s help in clearing up any evidence of Anthony’s death, but the pair failed to notice something that could get them caught.

Anthony’s very bloody tooth still lays on the floor in the Depot, waiting to be discovered.

With people in and out of there all the time, will anyone notice it? And if so, who will it be?

  • Emmerdale spoilers: Who killed Anthony revealed in ITVX early release episode but clues suggest there’s a twist

Emmerdale spoilers: Who killed Anthony revealed in ITVX early release episode but clues suggest there’s a twist

*Warning: Emmerdale spoilers follow from the Thursday January 23 episode, which is available now on ITVX, but has not yet aired on ITV*

Emmerdale spoilers from tonight’s episode have revealed Anthony is dead – and who his killer is. But speculation has already begun that all is not as it seems.

There was a clean-up operation and the body was hidden, but who really killed him?

What happened in Emmerdale last night?

After a game of Russian Roulette with Caleb on Wednesday January 22, Anthony inexplicably managed to run away from his gun-wielding son-in-law. Cain talked Caleb out of going after him and Anthony limped his way to the depot hoping to find Steph.

But she wasn’t there and the place was in darkness due to an electrical fault. Anthony let himself in and tried to use the office phone to call his granddaughter. Only Aaron Dingle was there waiting for him.

He menacingly told Anthony he wanted them to have a little chat.

    Anthony killed in Emmerdale spoilers

For the first time all week, Anthony seemed genuinely scared when confronted by Aaron. After Anthony finally confessed what he did, Aaron beat him a little, but then told him they were going to the police instead.

However Anthony made crass remarks about both Ruby’s willingness and Aaron’s relationship with his dad, Gordon. It sent Aaron over the edge and he violently lashed out, unable to control himself.

He left Anthony battered on the floor, missing a tooth, but still alive.

Aaron then went home, confessed to John what he did, who insisted they had to go and help Anthony. But when they got there, Anthony was dead. John dealt with the situation as distraught Aaron couldn’t believe he’d become a murderer. But has he?

Speculation over Anthony’s killer in Emmerdale

Fans online who have already watched the ITVX early release episode aren’t so sure all is as it seems. There was a lot of time between Aaron leaving Anthony alive and going back to find him dead.

“Someone got to Anthony in the depot after Aaron left him there,” said one on social media.

Another agreed (cryptically!): “I don’t buy it with a certain character…Someone else got there first before they went back too a certain place.”

“So… I don’t think the killer is the killer… we didn’t actually see him kill Anthony,” added a third.
