In Emmerdale spoilers were told that Steph is due to make a shock appearance, which will have tough repercussions for the Miligan family. But, who is actress Georgia Jay? Where have you seen her before?
Ruby’s family are coming to stay (Credit: ITV/EI)
Who is Georgia Jay?
Georgia Jay is no stranger to the silver screen, as she has made plenty of appearances on several UK shows.
Also known as Georgina Philipp, the star has a pretty low-key life off screen as shown on her social media. She has around 270 followers and frequently shares photos of her modelling around London.
The star is thought to be in her early 20s and her biggest feature so far was for the BBC.
Who will Georgia Jay play on Emmerdale?
ITV have revealed her new character Steph Miligan will inherit both the best (and worst) traits of her parents, including their desire to win over anything else…
Commenting on her joining, Georgia said: “I am thrilled to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. The cast and crew have all been so welcoming and I’m very excited to see what lies ahead for Steph, given her intriguing backstory.”
Emmerdale producer Sophie Roper said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming Nicholas and Georgia to Emmerdale as part of the Miligan family. With so much yet to discover about Ruby, the arrival of her father and daughter will unlock her past and see Ruby and Caleb tested in ways we’ve never seen before.
“With two actors of such great calibre, they’re certainly set to make their mark on the Dales.”
We wonder how Ruby will react to the shock arrival, especially so soon after her mother’s death? Will she be welcomed with open arms? Or will Steph reject her parents, who she hasn’t seen for a decade?

What else has Georgia Jay been in?
Georgia currently has three accredited jobs on IMDB, mainly in television.
She is perhaps most known for her role as Dianne Vickers in BBC’s Giri/Haji.
The actress also appeared in Glow & Darkness (2021) and The Devil Sits on Both Shoulders (2018).
Glow & Darkness was a 2021 television historical drama which saw Georgia appear in 7 episodes. She acted alongside legend Joan Collins.
While new to Soapland, Georgia is sure to hit the ground running with a complicated family storyline. What more could you ask for in Emmerdale?
Georgia Jay’s real-life away from Emmerdale
Little is known about Georgia’s life away from Emmerdale, but the British actress is no stranger to sharing photos with her friends.
She shared a few backstage shots back in 2020 during her time working on BBC’s Giri/Haji. Sharing a screenshot of herself wearing a red dress in the show, Georgia penned: “Don’t mess with the one in Red.”
Another time she uploaded a snap in an old fashioned dress and pinned up hair. Hopefully, the star will start sharing some pics from the Dales rather soon…

Emmerdale fans were delighted with the familiar face of Ross Barton returning to the Dales, but now they’re calling for a relationship shake-up for Charity and Mack.
Ross and Charity definitely have a connection, with Charity being the mother of his child. While she has since moved on with Mack – who is NOT Ross’ biggest fan – fans are asking for him to step down.
Adding to this, actor Mike Parr has hinted at what’s to come between Ross and Charity. Could this be the end of Mack and Charity?
Last week’s episodes of the soap (Monday, October 28) revealed that Ross is back in town, showing up as Billy’s opponent in the underground fight club he’s recently gotten himself involved with.
Upon hearing of his return, Mack made his views very clear. He does not like Ross, and wants him to stay away from Charity and Moses. Ross even punched Mack, who insisted on winding him up (what’s new?!).
The pair made sure Moses was out of the house on his return, but that didn’t stop Ross from coming over. He dropped a few bombshells, including news that Rebecca had passed away.
She died during a routine surgery. Last night (Thursday, October 31) Ross revealed that Bex’s son Seb had gone to live with one of Rebecca’s relatives – leaving him as a single man.
Elsewhere, actor Mike Parr teased a potential reunion for Ross and the mother of his son, Moses: “You really can’t hate somebody who’s doing a great job of raising your most beloved possession.
“But it’s Ross, and it’s Charity. There’s always going to be fireworks.”
But, where would this leave Mack?

Emmerdale fans desperate for Charity to ditch Mack for Ross
Many fans have been encouraging Charity to ditch Mack so that she can focus on Ross.
One X viewer expressed: “Just watched tonight’s ED and wish I hadn’t because the Charity/Mack scenes made me feel sick and my day is now ruined. Also Mack making out he’s father of the century. Wake up, Charity!”Â
Another replied: “Truly abysmal! Dad of the year Mack talking about parenting after how he treated Chloe and Reuben. He’s zapped the sense and logic out of Charity’s character, awaiting her to come to her senses!”
“Charity used to be such a complex character, now it seems she’s there just to mother Mack,” wrote a third.
A fourth person added: “The difference in chemistry between Charity/Ross, and Charity/Mack is insane. I’ll never understand why Emmerdale stuck her with Mack long term, [bleep] awful decision!”

Emmerdale spoilers tonight: Tom’s in trouble
1. Tom claims to have been attacked
Laurel is stunned when she comes across a bloodied Tom outside the church. Tom claims that he was attacked, but is he telling the truth?
Despite his injuries Tom refuses to go to A&E or the police station. Jimmy’s previous doubts quickly vanish and he expresses concern for his nephew’s safety.
Jimmy reassures Tom that he supports him and he then accuses Sam of being the one to attack Tom. But is he far off the mark?
Nicola wants to be away from Tom (Credit: ITV)
2. Nicola remains firm
Last week, Nicola went in on Tom and told him she didn’t believe anything he was saying. After labelling Tom a wife beater, Jimmy walked in and took Tom’s side.
Jimmy insisted that Nicola apologise to Tom. Nicola said she would do no such thing and told Jimmy that she’d be moving to Laurel’s with the kids until Tom moved out.
Tonight, Nicola remains firm in her suspicions about Tom and confirms that she’ll be moving out of the house until Tom is gone. Will Jimmy continue to side with his nephew over his wife?

3. Chas and Liam make a decision
Last week, Liam finally plucked up the courage to break up with Ella. But he stumbled over his words and told her there was no-one else involved.

In Classic Emmerdale spoilers for episodes airing on ITV3 on Friday November 1, Sadie ends her marriage to Alasdair for good while Jasmine causes chaos in the village. These episodes originally aired on March 30 and 31, 2006.
Jasmine sparked huge danger for Laurel (Credit: ITV/ Shutterstock)
Classic Emmerdale spoilers: Jasmine causes chaos
After being persuaded to hang out with Debbie and ditching Daz, Jasmine finds herself in trouble. Katie shares some harsh words to Debbie and Jasmine, prompting Debbie to insist she’ll get revenge.
Keen to impress Debbie, Jasmine agrees to help her. They let Andy’s ewes out of his barn but things soon take a turn for the worse. Daz is livid with the pair after receiving a text from them showing the sheep escaping.
Adding to Jasmine and Debbie’s troubles, Laurel later explains that she and Gabby had a car accident due to swerving from the sheep. Jasmine is wracked with guilt over what’s happened.
Sadie rejects Alasdair
Alasdair pays Sadie a visit and pleads with her to take him back. She gently lets him down and they reach an amicable agreement. However, Alasdair’s mum Rosemary later arrives and attacks Sadie, saying she has humiliated their family.
Rosemary insists the marriage will be annulled and Sadie will receive nothing. This gives Sadie an idea, and later when Jimmy arrives to finalise the share deal, she rips up the agreement.
Sadie then refuses to sign Rosemary’s annulment documents. Nevertheless, Rosemary is confident the prenup means nothing as the marriage was never consummated. Sadie later shares the video tape of her and Alasdair alone together after their wedding, revealing him begging for her back before heading into Holdgate Farm together.
Rosemary gives into the pressure and gives Sadie a settlement of the Sinclair family Saddlery business worth £1million.

Alice has her last chemo session
Nurse Connie is concerned about Alice as she isn’t looking well after her last session of chemotherapy. Connie suggests that Alice postpones the cheque presentation Eric has organised to praise her fundraising efforts. Alice refuses to miss the event.
She later presents the cheque to the hospital manager but is overcome by an attack of the shivers as she tries to do so, and can’t go through with it. Sam rushes to be by her side.
Classic Emmerdale spoilers: Victoria’s birthday party
Victoria’s birthday party takes place at Tenant House but the party mood is soon ruined when Andy arrives with Katie. Victoria is happy to see her brother but is not welcoming towards Katie. Meanwhile, Daz is furious at Katie being there and storms out.
He overhears Jack telling Diane that Andy is close to giving up on Daz. Victoria then tells him nobody wants him, not even his mum.

Emmerdale know how to give us an iconic comeback. The past few years have seen the return of legendary characters such as Kim Tate, Aaron Dingle and most recently, Ross Barton.
This lot belong in the Dales, and it’s got us thinking about which other former villagers we’d love to see again.
Here is our dream wish list of the 11 people we want to see make a comeback ASAP…
Robert and Aaron were the real deal (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)
The scheming Sugden was one of Emmerdale’s most interesting and complex characters. But it was Rob’s addictive romance with Aaron Dingle that made his popularity soar.
The couple’s adoring army of supporters followed their journey, and were gutted when it came to an end in 2019. Robert was sentenced to 14 years in prison for the manslaughter of his sister Victoria’s rapist Lee Posner. It has since transpired Lee’s brother, Luke, may have been to blame for his sibling’s fatal injuries. Now this sounds like an obvious get-out-of-jail card for Aaron’s ex.
So far, four actors have played the role of Robert. But we don’t think the fans would be happy unless Ryan Hawley stepped back into the character’s shoes. His on-screen chemistry with Danny Miller was a major part of Robert’s appeal.
If Robert did make a return, then he’s got a rival for Aaron’s affections – in the form of his own half-brother! Viewers have already speculated that John’s arrival in the village is laying the groundwork for an explosive love triangle. We’d love to watch Robert and John fighting it out over Aaron, and we know who we’d have money on to win. What Robert Sugden wants, he normally gets.
Adam is needed back in the village (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)
Adam Barton
Shoutout to Adam Barton. Wherever you are, mate, then you’re needed back in Emmerdale.
The character’s name has come up in conversation in recent weeks, amidst Moira’s battle with a non-cancerous brain tumour. After missing her life-saving surgery, Moira has decided to go and spend some time with her eldest son.
But will she return to the village with Adam in tow? We certainly hope so.
Adam was last seen on screen in January 2018 when he went on the run after deciding to take the rap for Moira over Emma Barton’s murder. Opting for a life as a fugitive, Adam fled to France and has been laying low ever since. But this is Soapland, so surely the coast is clear for him to make a comeback? Actor Adam Thomas has always expressed an interest in revisiting the role he played for nine years.
Not only would Adam’s return give Moira a boost, and Matty some much needed sibling support, but it might also give his ex-wife, Victoria a purpose. She’s been like a lost soul since her break-up with Jacob, and aside from interfering in John’s life, what actually does Vic do?
Adam and her were great together – we’d like to see them get a second chance at happiness.
Sorely missed mother of the village (Credit: ITV)
Diane Sugden
Diane was such an amazing, comforting presence, no wonder why all the locals loved her.
As landlady of The Woolpack for 17 years, Diane was the beating heart of the village and a friend to all. The Sugden matriarch also dealt with her fair share of drama – from surviving cancer, to being stabbed in the dark, and ripped off by her conman lover.
Actress Elizabeth Estensen, who played Diane for 22 years, announced her retirement in 2021. In a statement at the time she said: “I now feel the time has come to say goodbye. Emmerdale will always remain special to me.”
It seems highly unlikely we’ll ever see Diane back on a permanent basis, but we’d love her to pop back just for a little catch up. If nothing else, then just to check in with her loved ones. Diane’s bestie Chas has just come off the back of the toughest two years of her life so we’re sure she’d appreciate a visit.
We think Joe Tate has a lot more to give (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)
Emmerdale characters we want back: Joe Tate
It feels like there’s unfinished business as far as Joe Tate is concerned, which is why we’re in favour of him returning.
The orphaned son of Chris Tate and Rachel Hughes made a huge impact when he came to the village in 2018 under the alias of Tom Waterhouse. With his scheming and womanising ways Joe quickly proved to be a chip off the old block. But just as Chris had done, Joe underestimated Kim Tate – to his peril.
After realising Joe had been fleecing her, Kim ordered Graham Foster to dispose of him. At the same time, Joe was attacked by Cain in revenge for him breaking off his engagement to Debbie.
Joe was presumed dead for five months, until it was revealed he’d escaped with his life and £100k of Kim’s cash. As far as we know he’s still living it up in Monte Carlo, but we think it’s time he came back to settle some old scores.
Why has Debbie not been recast? (Credit: ITV)
Debbie Dingle
Debbie was such a major part of the Dingle family that we’d never rule out her return.
Cain and Charity’s feisty daughter relocated to Scotland back in February 2021 with her young son Jack. Debbie had also been living with her grandfather Zak until his recent passing, and was the one who broke the sad news.
Speculation was rife amongst fans that Debbie would accompany Zak’s body back to the village. But when Cain arrived in Scotland to see his daughter she told him she couldn’t face the funeral.
So it seems we’re going to have a wait a while longer to see Debbie again. But we’re sure Cain, Charity and Sarah would all love to have her back. And the return of Debbie’s ex, Ross Barton, throws up even more enticing possibilities.
Sadie King was a master manipulator (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)
Jimmy King’s former missus was a ruthless, money-hungry seductress, who was played to perfection by the brilliant Patsy Kensit. After wrecking havoc for two years, Sadie left the village in shame when she was double-crossed by Cain Dingle.
Nearly two decades have passed, but can you imagine the scenes if Cain ever saw Sadie again? And what would Charity do if she came face-to-face with her former foe? Even the thought of that showdown is exciting. Then there’s soppy old Jimmy. He was like putty in Sadie’s hands – we’re sure she could get under his skin again and threaten his marriage to Nicola.
We could also see Sadie teaming up with fellow queen, Kim Tate. Together, these two would be a force to be reckoned with!
Andy Sugden was one of Emmerdale’s best-loved characters (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)
Andy Sugden
If Emmerdale really want to put the Sugdens back on the map, then Andy must come home.
The iconic character, played by Kelvin Fletcher from 1996 to 2016, grew up on our screens and was loved by millions. Andy was at the centre of so many brilliant storylines, and could always be relied on to deliver the drama.
Every year, rumours start swirling about Andy coming back to the village. There’s definitely still a place for him there, with old friends and family ties. Might we see him back in 2025?
Serial killer Meena would come back with a bang (Credit: ITV)
Meena Jutla
Serial killer Meena is safely behind bars, serving life for multiple murders. But is it wrong we wish she’d stage a prison break?
Soap villains don’t get much better than this mad lass. During her reign of terror in the Dales, Meena killed Leanna Cavanagh, Andrea Tate and Ben Tucker. And she’d already claimed the lives of her best mate Nadine and her own dad. Yikes!
Meena was different from a lot of baddies in that she was so unhinged and psychotic it was actually entertaining to watch. She stalked her prey with pleasure and made her own playlist of murder karaoke! Actress Paige Sandhu also did an incredible job of playing such a crackers character.
So as ludicrous as the plot would have to be, we’d relish the return of the village’s answer to Villanelle. And there’s one or two locals we wouldn’t mind Meena adding to her body count. No names mentioned…
We want Nicky back in the Miligan family fold (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)
Emmerdale characters we want back: Nicky Miligan
One of the biggest mistakes Emmerdale made this year was getting rid of Nicky Miligan.
Things were just starting to get interesting for the character what with Ruby’s arrival and watching him referee her and Caleb’s toxic spats. But after discovering his parents had conspired to cover up Ruby running over Ethan Anderson, Nicky disowned them and left for new life overseas with boyfriend, Sonny. To be fair, we can’t blame him on that one.
Nicky hasn’t spoken to his folks since, and Ruby is desperate for a reconciliation. Caleb would also surely welcome his son’s assistance as he continues his bid for Dales domination. And Nicky has already shown he can be useful right hand man – he certainly did a very good job of conning poor Gabby Thomas.
Ruby has gone to visit him now, but he still won’t forgive dad Caleb. And with news of daughter Stephanie’s arrival incoming, it’s surely a great time to reunite the Miligan family and put them on top of Emmerdale.
There was never a dull moment with Bernice (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)
Bernice Blackstock
Bernice brought her own brand of ridiculous, camp entertainment and the village is definitely less fun without her in it.
The legendary former landlady had been causing chaos since her arrival 1998. But given her brilliance, we think Emmerdale did Bernice dirty by giving her such a rushed – and frankly rubbish – exit. Viewers will remember Bernice was forced to flee to Spain after wracking up a fraudulent debt. She sold her B&B shares to sister Nicola, and with that she was off.
Gabby gave Paddy a recent update on Bernice, saying she’s ‘causing carnage on the Costa’ and ‘falling out of love every five minutes’. She also admitted how much she misses her mum. We do too, Gabs.
Wouldn’t it be great to see Bernice back?
We’d love nothing more than a Belle and Piper reunion (Credit: ITV)
Piper the dog
Our comeback wish list wouldn’t be complete without a certain fur baby. The adorable Piper.
Belle was left heartbroken earlier this year after Tom led her to believe her beloved pet had been run over and killed. The evil vet watched his wife grieve for Piper as he orchestrated a fake funeral. But then it was revealed Piper was alive and well and had been secretly re-homed with another couple.
Tom’s wicked web of deceit is finally starting to unravel, and we’re hoping the writers are going to find a way to bring Piper back into Belle’s life. After all the hell she’s been through, she deserves a happy ending with her four-legged friend.

The pets in Emmerdale are as loved as the characters who own them.
Earlier this year, fans were outraged over Tom King’s cruel treatment towards Belle’s beloved dog, Piper. But it’s not just little Piper who the viewers have taken into their hearts.
From canines to cockatoos, here’s a look at the most memorable stars of the Emmerdale animal cast…
Fans took Piper to their hearts (Credit: ITV)
Emmerdale pets: Piper – Belle and Tom King’s dog
Fan favourite Piper is still very much on our minds, so it’s only correct she features first. The adorable pooch was adopted by vet Tom King in March 2024, who then gave her as a present to his wife, Belle.
Belle absolutely doted on her new pet, but Tom grew jealous and decided to use Piper as a pawn in his wicked manipulation. When Belle walked out on him, Tom drugged Piper to bring her back. But the lowest of the low came when Tom deliberately hit Piper with his car and claimed he’d been unable to save her.
Fans watched on in horror as Tom made Belle believe Piper had died. He even orchestrated a fake burial and watched on as Belle grieved for her lost friend.
Piper’s true fate was revealed a few days later when Tom re-homed Piper with a couple, who had been led to believe that Belle was abusing her. So now we know Piper is alive and well, we’re hoping one day she and Belle will be reunited.
Alfie was Zak Dingle’s loyal companion for 15 years (Credit: ITV)
Alfie – the Dingles’ dog
Wolfhound Alfie was the Dingle family’s loyal companion for 15 years.
He was born in 2002 and came to live with the iconic Emmerdale clan the same year. But much like his owners, Alfie’s life was full of drama.
In 2010, he survived a poisoning after chemicals seeped into land near Wishing Well. Then later that year, Alfie was out walking in Home Farm woods when he sniffed out Mark Wylde’s decomposing corpse.
Tragedy struck in May 2017 when Alfie’s master Zak Dingle accidentally ran him over while fleeing from a mob of angry vegans. Alfie underwent emergency surgery and pulled through, but was then diagnosed with terminal liver cancer.
Realising his mutt didn’t have long left, Zak agreed it would be kinder to put Alfie out of his pain. Paddy administered a lethal injection and Alfie slipped away, with Zak by his side.
The acting dog, whose real name is also Alfie, was owned by Lynda Woodrow, and retired at her request in the show’s 8007th episode.
Dingle pet Monty was by Lisa’s side when she passed away (Credit: ITV)
Monty – the Dingles’ dog
Alfie’s replacement was Monty – who looked like an exact clone of his predecessor.
Monty’s first on-screen appearance was on August 9, 2018 and he’s been part of the family ever since.
Perhaps Monty’s most memorable moment was one the saddest days in Dingle history. On May 23, 2019, matriarch Lisa died just hours after her emotional wedding to Zak. He discovered his bride had peacefully slipped away at home, and Monty was by her side.
Fans praised the pooch for his performance in the tear-jerking scenes and said he deserved an Oscar. His little forlorn expression was definitely worthy of all the awards!
Steve the cockatoo met an unfortunate end (Credit: ITV)
Emmerdale pets: Steve – Lydia Dingle’s cockatoo
Steve was a depressed cockatoo who was an ‘unfriendly so and so who often bit people.’ But that didn’t stop Lydia Dingle from loving him.
The pet bird was certainly a character, and he met an unfortunate end when he escaped from his cage and flew into a power line.
Lydia was devastated by Steve’s death and had him stuffed by a taxidermist. Lydia took Steve with her when she moved into Mulberry Cottage in 2017 – much to Laurel Thomas’s horror!
Stuffed Steve hasn’t been seen since, but don’t worry he’s still around. Lydia confirmed this while she was comforting Belle over the ‘death’ of Piper, saying she could still see Steve whenever she wanted.
Let’s just hope we don’t have to.
Edna’s pet dog Batley broke viewers hearts when he passed away (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)
Batley – Edna Birch’s dog
Acerbic Edna didn’t have a lot of time for humans, but she sure loved her fur babies. Edna’s first four-legged friend was a cute Yorkshire terrier called Batley, who she had from a pup.
Wherever Edna went, Batley followed, and viewers adored him. They were outraged when Edna’s spiteful granddaughter Eve Jenson deliberately kicked Batley, causing him to fall ill.
Sadly, local vet Paddy Kirk was unable to save Batley and on February 11, 2002, Edna made the difficult decision to put him to sleep. He passed away peacefully in Edna’s arms, resting his paw on her.
Those devastating scenes resonated with fans, and Batley (whose real-life name was Bracken) was voted Best Exit at the 2002 British Soap Awards.
Batley’s name was last mentioned by Faith Dingle back in 2017, when she was ‘connecting with the spirits’.
Have you ever seen a cuter pooch than Edna’s Tootsie? (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)
Tootsie – Edna Birch’s dog
Tootsie came into Edna’s life when she was still grieving the loss of Batley. She was in need of a home after her previous owner had passed away, so Edna decided to adopt her.
Tootsie had an eventful time in Emmerdale. In 2007 she ran off while out on a walk with Edna’s friend Pearl Ladderbanks and had an encounter with another dog. Two months later, Tootsie gave birth to two puppies, which came as a shock to Edna, who didn’t even realise her pooch was pregnant.
The original acting dog Sky passed away in 2008, and was replaced by another dog called Dusty.
In 2012, Tootsie was diagnosed with cancer after it was discovered on her spleen. She underwent several rounds of chemotherapy and went on to make a full recovery.
But four years later, Tootsie was left without a mistress after Edna died following a short battle with ovarian cancer. She was temporarily cared for by Edna’s friend, Harriet Finch, but after that no one knows what happened to Tootsie.
Poor Belle doesn’t have much luck when it comes to animals (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)
Hamish – Belle Dingle’s Shetland pony
Hamish was Belle’s treasured Shetland pony, that was gifted to her on her fourth birthday. He lived in a stable at Wishing Well and was part of the Dingle family.
Belle loved her pony and had 13 happy years with him, but in July 2015 Zak realised there was something wrong with Hamish.
He rung Paddy to come and investigate, and the vet confirmed Hamish was suffering from colic. A few days later, he put to sleep with Belle by his side.
Dark Star was one of the victims of the 1993 plane crash (Credit: ITV)
Emmerdale pets: Dark Star – Kim Tate’s horse
Horse-lover Kim Tate’s mighty stallion Dark Star was one of her favourites.
Dark Star was Kim’s show horse, and they used to compete together in show jumping events. But tragedy struck in June 1992. Kim was pregnant with husband Frank Tate’s baby, and fell off Dark Star, which caused her to miscarry.
The next year, Dark Star was killed when a plane crashed into Emmerdale village.
Daisy was killed by drunk driver Laurel (Credit: ITV)
Daisy – Marlon Dingle’s dog
Marlon originally bought Dalmatian Daisy as a gift for his first wife, Tricia.
After Tricia’s sad death in January 2004, Daisy stayed living with Marlon. She had a brush with death in 2012 after being knocked over by local vicar Ashley Thomas’s car. Daisy was injured, but thanks to the help of Paddy, she survived.
Daisy met a sad and shocking end in May 2015 when Marlon’s third missus, Laurel, ran her over when she was drunk. The tragic dog died by the side of the road. Laurel tried to bury her body to cover up her involvement, but was caught in the act by Cain.
Kim Tate’s pet horse Ice is a killer (Credit: ITV)
Ice – Kim Tate’s horse
Kim Tate’s magnificent white horse Ice has gone down in Emmerdale history as the soaps’ first pet to commit murder.
When Lydia Dingle’s evil rapist Craig was found dead in the middle of a field the finger of suspicion fell on just about every member of the Dingle clan. But no one could have guessed who the true killer was.
It turned out Craig had been kicked to death by Ice after he spooked the creature. Never underestimate the power of those hooves!
Kim observed the whole thing and was persuaded by Cain to ride off on Ice instead of ringing for an ambulance. So you could kind of say she and Ice were in it together.
Isaac adored his little lamb Minty (Credit: ITV)
Emmerdale pets: Minty – Isaac Dingle’s lamb
Oh sweet little Minty stole our hearts. And Isaac Dingle‘s.
Minty the runt of a litter of lambs who Isaac grew attached to. Moira warned her son it wasn’t likely Minty would survive, but Isaac managed to persuade Cain to let him keep him as a pet.
Isaac absolutely doted on Minty and was beside himself when the lamb went missing at the 2024 summer fete. After bringing the whole village together for a frantic search, Kim Tate discovered Minty hiding out in a barn.
He was returned to Isaac’s care, but his happiness was short-lived when Minty passed away. Isaac found his body at Butlers and accused his parents of murder. But that wasn’t the case, Minty had just died of natural causes.

This week’s Emmerdale review is full of disbelief! Because we’ve had some very bad news about Rebecca and we’re really sad about it. But there have been some moments that made us laugh, too.
Here’s what’s got us sobbing and chuckling in this week’s Emmerdale review.
Ross is back! (Credit: ITV)
Ross Barton is back!
We were delighted to hear Ross was coming back! He’s got so much history with people in the village, and we were with him every step of the way when he was coming to terms with the injuries from his acid attack.
Yes, we get it, you’ve both got big arms. Are we done now? (Credit: ITV)
Plus the whole set-up barely makes sense – if it was so important for Billy to lose the fight, why not just tell him that? It’s hardly an honest game anyway, so the whole thing being a set-up wouldn’t be a surprise, surely?
Anyway, that aside, the reveal that Ross was Billy’s opponent didn’t thrill us.
BUT despite his yawnworthy arrival, and the knowledge that there is more boxing boredom to come, we are loving Ross being back in the village.

Of course one of the best things about Ross is him putting Mack firmly into his place. We especially enjoyed him calling Mack a “soft turnip” which is exactly what we’re going to call him from now on.

But there’s bad news too, in our Emmerdale review
We loved Rebecca White. Her total disregard for morals, her funny comments, and her redemption storyline after her brain injury all made her one of our fave characters. And we really loved her and Ross bonding over their life-changing injuries (not to mention their love of Real Hairdressers of Harrogate).
So we were devastated to discover that she and Ross had broken up – only to get the news seconds later that Rebecca is dead! WHAT? It’s such sad news, and yet another young woman killed off in soap, albeit off-screen.

Bring back Adam!
We were thrilled to hear Moira’s gone to visit her son Adam. And we are hoping she brings him back with her. Yes, we’ve been hoping that since he left in 2018, but honestly, we’re never giving this up. Never.
Yay, Nicola! (Credit: ITV)
Don’t get on Nicola’s bad side
We are LOVING Nicola’s one-woman campaign against Tom. She’s totally got the measure of him (finally) and she is not giving in. We were so pleased that she took little Carl down to the police station partly because it was the right thing to do, and partly because it proved to her son that she had his back – especially when muppet dad Jimmy clearly doesn’t.
Plus we’re still loving DS Foy. More of him, please!

The family of Caleb and Ruby Fox-Miligan is set to get much bigger when two new members arrive in Emmerdale. The soap has teased that Caleb and Ruby share an estranged daughter together. The mysterious Steph is the name on everyone’s lips – with fan speculation rife about who she is and where she could be.
And, as Ruby learned that her (also estranged) mother had died, the soap teased that she had a dad too. One who, it was implied, didn’t approve of her relationship with Caleb. All these stories of estranged daughters and disapproving dads left fans wondering what exactly went down.
Wonder no more: Ruby’s daughter and dad will arrive in Emmerdale later on this month! But who are they, and what does their arrival mean for Caleb and Ruby?

Emmerdale introduces new family for Caleb and Ruby
Played by Georgia Jay, notes describe daughter Steph as ‘smart, confident and completely reckless.’ Estranged Steph hasn’t seen either parent in over a decade – and shares all the best and worst parts of their personalities.
How will she react when she comes face-to-face with her mum and dad again?
“I am thrilled to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. The cast and crew have all been so welcoming and I’m very excited to see what lies ahead for Steph, given her intriguing backstory,” said star Georgia.
Grandad Anthony joins Steph in this family reunion. Played by The Crown and Minder star Nicholas Day, Anthony seems charismatic and mellow to onlookers. However, he completes an unwelcome family reunion which will leave Ruby reeling.
“I’ve been made so welcome in the Emmerdale family. And my screen family is great to work with, the scenes just fly. No kidding – I feel blessed,” Nicholas said.

Emmerdale producer teases Miligan family history
Speaking on the new casting, Emmerdale producer Sophie Roper said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming Nicholas and Georgia to Emmerdale as part of the Miligan family.”
She continued: “With so much yet to discover about Ruby, the arrival of her father and daughter will unlock her past and see Ruby and Caleb tested in ways we’ve never seen before. With two actors of such great calibre, they’re certainly set to make their mark on the Dales.”

Nicola King proved she is absolutely not backing down in Emmerdale tonight as she picked her team and made her feelings about Tom perfectly clear. Honestly, we’ve never much warmed to Nicola until now when we absolutely love her!
Elsewhere, Liam was a bumbling wreck, but he managed to do the deed. Now he just has to live with the consequences.
Here’s everything that happened in Emmerdale tonight.
Tom can’t manipulate Nicola, the queen of manipulation! (Credit: ITV)
Nicola took on Tom
Not preparing to sit around and let Tom get away with it, Nicola turned her attentions to grilling Amelia for information. But Tom caught them and insisted Nicola talk to him directly. He then sat her down for ‘a chat’ to get to know each other better.
He tried to play patronising Mr Nice Guy, but Nicola did not buy that Belle imagined it all due to her mental health. She told him he was wasting his time, she could see through him and his lies. We’ve never liked Nicola this much before!
Tom tried desperately to manipulate her, despite her standing up to him. But she gave it to him with both barrels insisting he was a wife beater – at which point Jimmy walked in. And once again took Tom’s side.
Divorce him, Nicola. Now.
Well, she didn’t quite go that far, but as Jimmy insisted she apologise to Tom, Nicola refused. And then she said her and the kids were moving to Laurel’s until Tom left. Tom offered to move out, but Jimmy told him to stay put, accusing Nicola of playing games.
But Nicola was deadly serious insisting she would not have Tom around her children. Then she went to pack her bags.
We never thought we’d say this, but we are totally Team Nicola. How can Jimmy not put his own children first? It’s beyond us. He is an absolute idiot.
And go Nicola! Is anyone else thinking of a DS Foy and Nicola King spin-off series bringing abusers to justice? Just us? Okay then…
Under pressure Liam finally dumped Ella (Credit: ITV)
Liam did the deed in Emmerdale tonight
Liam was once again apologising to Chas who insisted he had to break up with Ella. He finally plucked up the courage to talk to her, but she jumped in and started banging on about their first Christmas together. He bumbled and stumbled but eventually told her it wasn’t working. He also lied there was no one else, which was probably a mistake.
The sticking point now is that she has nowhere else to go so they have to keep on living together. He suggested staying with Chas, but as he hadn’t told the truth about their relationship that was a definite no-go as far as she was concerned. What a pickle, Dr C.
Also in Emmerdale tonight…
Ross was backed into a corner by Mack (Credit: ITV)
Did Mack set Ross up?
There was trouble at the farm when Mack supposedly saw some men hanging out, so Ross went to sort it with a gun. But when he fired a warning shot to whoever it was, it was Moses who appeared, alongside Mack. Oops. But something stinks here – did Mack set him up to make him look bad in front of Charity? Mackenzie certainly didn’t waste any time laying it on thick to his wife about what a bad dad Ross was almost shooting his own son.
Charity, of course, have a go at Ross about the incident, but he turned it round and commented that she kept trying to save him. Is there something in it? Does Charity still lust after Ross?
Angelica returned
Angelica is home, but she was worried about what people thought of her. Jimmy was Mr Perky Positive insisting it was a fresh start, but then Bob came across them and didn’t react well, particularly as she was wearing Heath’s hoodie.
When Angel walked into the house to find Tom and Nicola arguing, she ran out, upset. Nicola found her on the bridge and tried to comfort her, promising she was going to get her daughter through this.
Meanwhile, Bob was in the pub nursing a pint and drowning his sorrows. He doesn’t think he’ll ever be able to make peace with it. Laurel advised him he had to move on, but can he?

Ladies of Emmerdale watch out – Ross Barton is back in town, and he’s a single man. This week’s episodes of the soap followed the fallout as the village badboy returned, setting the cat among the pigeons.
As he refamilarised himself with his neighbours, Ross dropped the news that Rebecca had died. Rebecca and Ross originally left the village together with her son Seb, for a new life in Liverpool, back in 2018.

Ross reveals what happened to Rebecca and Seb
However, it seems like their happily ever after wasn’t to last – with the pair first breaking up, and then Rebecca dying during a routine surgery. Last night (Thursday, October 31) Ross revealed that Seb had gone to live with one of Rebecca’s relatives – leaving him as a single man.
This left fans wondering who Ross’s future love interests might be.

Emmerdale fans place their bets on future love for Ross
Writing on a Reddit thread, fans shared their thoughts on who Ross might set his sights on.
“Charity, Tracy or Dawn,” suggested one fan.
Ross has history with both Charity and Dawn of course; with Charity being the mother of his child, and Dawn being a former sex worker who bonded with Ross over their past trauma and addiction issues.
With Ross having clashed with Billy in the ring, the pair are already at loggerheads. Can writers resist pairing him with Dawn?
