Cain might’ve just landed Aaron in major trouble over Anthony death, fans fear

Emmerdale fans have been left worried that Cain Dingle may have made the situation worse for Aaron by going to the police over Anthony’s death. Last night’s episode saw Cain learn that Ruby had killed Anthony… and he had a lot of tidying up to do.

His shock grew as Caleb told him that Aaron and John had tried to cover the whole thing up… using his garage. His frustration continued to grow as he got a telling off from Manpreet in the Woolpack, informing him that she’d gone to the police with a noise complaint.

After giving Aaron and Chas a telling off, Cain put a plan into action…

Cain goes to the police amid Ruby confession

Cain’s next move was a very un-Cain-like one. He went to the police station himself. Hoping to cover the tracks of those involved, he told the duty officer that someone had seen Anthony after his reported disappearance.

All fine and well for Laurel, who is now seemingly off the hook. Good news too for the police investigation, which has been closed for now. But did Cain really think it through?

While he may have quietened things for now, he could very well have made things worse for Aaron.

Emmerdale fans worried for Aaron as Cain goes to the police

Writing on social media as last night’s episode aired, fans shared their thoughts on Cain’s latest move. And many agreed that it might spell trouble for Aaron.

“Cain sticking his beak into the situation felt like he just wanted to be involved in the whole thing. If Anthony’s body is found & death dated exactly he’s dropped Aaron in it big time. If he gave the story to police Aaron saw him last & scrapped his car after hours!” exclaimed one fan – putting together a timeline which would make Aaron the last person to see him alive and well.

“From what I’m seeing is Cain digging them into a bigger hole by going to police?” concurred another.

“Cain made the wrong choice. The correct thing would be to kill Manpreet so she can’t snoop,” said a third.

“Why the hell does he or anyone need to go near the police & mention Anthony’s car?  It was only a passing mention about noise,” said another.

You’d think Cain would be the best man for a job, but has he ruined it for everyone instead?

  • As John proves his commitment to Aaron, I think it’s time to move on from the past and let Robron go – OPINION

As John proves his commitment to Aaron, I think it’s time to move on from the past and let Robron go – OPINION

A complicated, explosive, highly toxic mess; the marriage of Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle (or ‘Robron,’ for short) is perhaps the most talked-about Emmerdale relationship of all time. Well of course it is – the shippers won’t stop talking about Robron.

But before we go into why this writer thinks Robert and Aaron should stay in the past – first, some context.

Robert and Aaron lie next to each other, post-coitus

Robron: A history of a toxic relationship on Emmerdale

The union of the second-worst Sugden (lest we forget Andy’s wife-beating phase) and the least entertaining Dingle, the relationship of Robert and Aaron was toxic from the start, with Rob initially blackmailing ‘ron into robbing Home Farm.

Learning that Aaron was gay, Robert’s interest was piqued, and the pair hooked up. After realising that Robert was cheating on bride-to-be Chrissie, Katie snapped the pair mid-kiss and threatened to tell all. As a scuffle broke out, Robron claimed its first victim, and Katie fell to her death.

With Katie silenced, Robert and Chrissie married. However, he carried on seeing Aaron. Their toxic dance continued even as more people learned about the affair. This led to Robert almost killing and then blackmailing Paddy – subsequently holding a bound-and-gagged Aaron at gunpoint when he sought revenge. Truly, a match made in the stars.

When their affair became public knowledge, you’d think they could put everyone out of their misery and just be together. But before that could happen, somebody shot Robert. Prime suspect Aaron’s name was cleared when it was revealed that it had been Ross who dunnit – at the behest of his own adoptive brother, Andy.

    Robron II: the next level

In 2016, the pair finally stopped trying to kill each other long enough for an actual conversation. Discovering that Aaron’s dad had raped him as a child, Robert was there in his time of need. In true Robert fashion, this involved a few major crimes – paying a neighbour to lie that Gordon had raped him too.

A jury found Gordon guilty in spite of Robert’s meddling, and he eventually took his own life in prison. Always one to make it about himself, Robert then found himself in hot water with Aaron for not passing on a letter from his (now dead) dad.

They eventually reconciled and things were stable for a while, moving in together and even deciding to marry. When Aaron was sentenced to a year in prison for possession of drugs, he started pushing Robert away. Robert sought comfort in Rebecca White, with whom he fathered Seb.

The pair split when the truth came out, but couldn’t stay away from each other for long.

Robron III: Parting is such sweet sorrow as Robert leaves Emmerdale

After reuniting, Robert and Aaron decided to have a child together, and began the process of looking for a surrogate.

That hypothetical child was saved from a life under two people (one a morally bankrupt criminal, the other a tormented criminal with anger issues) who should absolutely not under any circumstances be trusted with a child’s welfare when Robert killed a man.

Robert was sentenced to fourteen years without parole. While behind bars, he learned that he was being transferred to The Isle of Wight, apparently putting an end to the saga of Robert and Aaron once and for all. If only!

    Let Robron go, Emmerdale fans

Fast-forward four years later, and fans are still talking about Robron. It’s hard to engage in any discussion about Aaron (still in the soap) without someone loudly bringing up Robert (hasn’t been in the soap since 2019) and bashing everyone and everything else.

No sooner did Aaron return to screens in 2023 than fans began demanding his other half follow. Aaron is currently at the heart of one of Emmerdale’s biggest stories, but once again, fans have found a way to make that all about Robron too.

And while I can take or leave Aaron, it does a disservice to the character – and Danny Miller – to have him constantly defined by the man in his life. Or the lack of him, as it were.

With Aaron currently holding the bag for Anthony’s murder, Robron shippers are wondering whether this might mean they reunite behind bars. As long as the cameras don’t follow them there, I wouldn’t be opposed.

    John and Aaron on Emmerdale
Aaron’s moved on… but his fans haven’t (Credit: ITV)

    Aaron’s new man

Pity poor John Sugden in all of this. While the jury’s still out on that one (serial killer? conman? weirdo?) he never really stood a chance with Robron fans. While he’s raising a few red flags of his own, one suspects that much of the hate he gets online is for not being Robert.

This writer personally finds John to be an intriguing figure – and his relationship with Aaron rather sweet. Why not give it time to breathe before declaring it a failure? Can Aaron not have some fun and stability in his miserable little life before forcing him into another agonising dilemma? Would we really rather see him behind bars with Robert than without?

Time will tell how Johron (Aarjohn?) plays out, but to pretend that he and Robert were ever the height of romance is, frankly, a bit deluded.

    Robron IV: Robron’s revenge?

What all this comes down to, ultimately, is a personal vendetta. Mine, against Robert and Aaron. I’ll be the first to admit that I never enjoyed Robert as a character (in any iteration), nor any of the actors who portrayed him.

Whatever the case, the return of Robert is inevitable – fan demand is too high, the possibilities too juicy (his ex is currently with his long-lost relative!)

The Sudgen name is too important to Emmerdale’s legacy for him to stay away forever. And, for better and worse, the name Aaron will be forever linked with Robert Sugden.

What I’m saying is, Robron is inevitable.

  • Inside Emmerdale star Danny Miller’s very personal passion for charity work as annual ball tickets go on sale

Inside Emmerdale star Danny Miller’s very personal passion for charity work as annual ball tickets go on sale

Emmerdale cast member Danny Miller has announced that tickets for his annual charity ball have gone on sale.

Danny, best known for playing bad boy Aaron Dingle, has always been outspoken about his love for helping others. And it was this passion that drove him to create his own organisation help.

Currently Aaron is involved in the huge storyline of Anthony’s murder. He has spent the last week thinking he was the one who killed him. But Thursday night’s episode (January 30) shared the shocking revelation that it was actually Ruby – much to fans’ delight.

However, away from the Dales, way back in 2011, Danny co-founded the Manchester based children’s bereavement charity, Once Upon A Smile, alongside friend and actor, Daniel Jillings.

But what exactly is the charity? And what has Danny said about it? Well here’s a look inside the Emmerdale cast member’s passion for charity work.

Danny Miller smiling on Loose Women

What is Once Upon A Smile?

The charity provides emotional and practical support to bereaved families. And it was formed after it became apparent that there was a lack of support for families who have lost a loved one.

The inspiration came after Danny lost a close friend and Emmerdale producer, Gavin Blyth. Danny has opened up, revealing that Gavin was the one who “took Aaron down the path of struggling with his sexuality.”

For Danny, he felt like he owed Gavin a lot as he was the one who gave him his “big break” in the industry.

He spoke to What to Watch about the impact it had, saying: “I started the charity because a friend of mine passed away. He left behind a lovely young family. I wanted to know what I could do for more families like the Blyths.”

Danny Miller speaks out on charity work

The former I’m A Celebrity winner revealed that he was “in a hole of grief and disbelief” at Gavin’s funeral. But nothing that he felt compared to how Gavin’s family were feeling.

He said: “I wanted to create something that would counter that. Something that would help families become united again. For them to support each other emotionally and practically after bereavement.”

Danny and Daniel made the decision to do the charity together in a  “blood brothers” agreement. And for the Emmerdale star, he “feels pride” when he thinks of all that the charity has achieved.

    The annual ball

One thing they knew that would be difficult is raising awareness and money for the charity. So, they created an annual ball. Which seems to have taken off.

Every year, the charity hosts a ball for those who want to help raise money. Earlier in the week Danny, who is now a dad of two, announced the tickets for 2025’s ball have gone on sale.

Anyone can buy a ticket. And every year it’s a sold out event with appearances from faces from TV and music. The night is full of musical acts, a three-course meal and even a red carpet experience.

Other members of the Emmerdale cast have shown up in support for Danny’s charity every year. And this year is expected to be no different.

In last year’s event, The Emmerdale Band even featured as a musical guest for the evening. This included performances from Dominic Brunt (Paddy Kirk), Katie Hill (Sarah Sugden) and Olivia Bromley (Dawn Fletcher). Not just that, but over 20 cast members showed up to support.

Danny spoke to Yahoo about the Emmerdale support last year. He said: “We have a really big presence of Emmerdale at the ball this year. There are over 20 cast members coming. I’m very excited for that. They’ll be a great part of the night.”

    Other Danny Miller charity events

The annual ball isn’t the only event that Danny has done in honour of Once Upon A Smile. In 2020, Danny raised £30,000 by walking a 40-mile journey from Manchester to Anfield.

At the time, his target was £20K, so he achieved more than £10K over this. He took to X at the time to share his gratitude.

Danny wrote: “Swollen eyes is my biggest injury. Just cried and cried last night at so many of your beautiful support messages, donations and generosity.”

  • John to kill Aaron in a bid to keep Anthony death a secret, a new Emmerdale fan theory predicts

John to kill Aaron in a bid to keep Anthony death a secret, a new Emmerdale fan theory predicts

A new Emmerdale fan theory has predicted that cold-blooded John Sugden may kill Aaron in an attempt to keep his part in Anthony’s death a secret. Neither John nor Aaron were ultimately responsible for Anthony’s death – but their cover-up in the days since left them both implicated.

Last night’s episode of the soap (Thursday, January 30) revealed that it was actually Ruby who killed Anthony, smothering him as he lay dying on the ground. Aaron was stunned to learn that he hadn’t actually killed Anthony – and furious that she and Caleb had kept the truth from him.

As the episode ended, all involved agreed to stay silent. But with Aaron clearly struggling with his conscience, will he be able to hold it together in the face of a police investigation?

A dark new theory has emerged suggesting that John may then kill Aaron in an attempt to keep his own part in the crime a secret.

John to kill Aaron, Emmerdale fans speculate

Writing on Reddit yesterday, fans shared their theories as to how the story might play out. And with many still not trusting John, this could be bad news for Aaron

“What if John kills Aaron to keep the secret of what happened to Anthony… Aaron being the wrapped up body we saw in the flashback, and Cain standing over his grave?” asked one fan.

“That would be a sad ending to a sad life really,” said another in response.

“I hope they don’t kill him off or make John a killer,” a third fretted.

“Aaron crying again, John will be taking him out at this rate, and not in a nice way,” said another viewer, over on X.

    Is Aaron in danger?

Viewers still don’t trust John (Credit: ITV)

What’s John’s game? All the red flags so far

This latest theory comes amid intense speculation over John’s true motives. The former soldier leapt to action in the wake of Aaron’s attack on Anthony – and many felt he was far too comfortable in covering up a murder.

This has led some to believe that John could be harbouring a dark secret of his own – wondering whether he might have actually killed Anthony (since proven to be untrue), or ‘disappeared’ Nate.

Whatever the case, John is clearly all-too comfortable around death, and his ‘controlling’ approach to Aaron only worried fans more. Only time will tell whether John’s heart is in the right place… but for now, Aaron and Ruby should just be glad that he’s on their side.

  • Fans applaud Ruby for ‘taking back the power’ in huge Anthony twist

Fans applaud Ruby for ‘taking back the power’ in huge Anthony twist

As Ruby in Emmerdale has been revealed as Anthony’s true killer and not Aaron, fans have applauded her for taking control away from her abusive father.

When Aaron beat Anthony up last week, fans were quick to work out that he wasn’t the one who actually murdered him. But while they believed that, they still were unsure as to who did.

But last night’s episode saw Ruby tell him the truth – that it was her, and Caleb was going to clean it up when he saw Aaron and John had already done so. And fans agree that this outcome is far more fitting than anyone else being the culprit.

    Ruby is upset in Emmerdale

    Emmerdale Ruby kills Anthony

When Aaron left Anthony in the Depot, he was still alive, just badly beaten. But when he and John came back, he was dead. In another flashback we saw the truth of what happened in that short time between.

Ruby had gone to the Depot, and when she got there she saw Anthony in a bad state. She made the decision to leave him there and let him suffer. But her vile father reached out, grabbing her leg and she snapped.

Ruby no longer saw him as her father. She was able to recognise the monster he was, and knew she had the power to take revenge for the sexual abuse. So, she lifted a rag and suffocated him until he was dead.

The emotional performance yet again from Beth Cordingly has been applauded by fans (Give her the awards!) as they praise Ruby for taking that power back.

    Fans applaud ‘fitting end’

Taking to X fans were quick to share their reaction to the revelation. And it was all positive.

One wrote: “So glad it was Ruby that killed him! If it was anybody that had to do it then it had to be her. She got her justice in her own way. Tonight’s episode was amazing, with great performances from Danny and Beth.”

Another penned: “I’m actually glad it was Ruby that killed Anthony after all the abuse he had done to her!”

A third simply praised the actors: “Beth Cordingly as Ruby is the best thing on TV right now.”

“You know what? Good for Ruby. She got the justice she wanted and needed. Glad it was her,” a viewer wrote.

The consensus being that Ruby was a far better choice than anyone else to have killed Anthony. And now that Aaron is in the clear, hopefully he doesn’t continue to spiral.

But with Laurel turning up to the police station, will they be caught just as everything is out in the open?

Emmerdale viewers ‘annoyed’ by Aaron’s ‘overreaction’ to Ruby’s murder revelation: ‘He has to play the victim’

Fans of Emmerdale have been left irritated by Aaron Dingle‘s reaction to learning that Ruby was the one who murdered Anthony. Ruby’s confession came last night (Thursday, January 30) as she came face-to-face with a guilt-ridden Aaron.

Believing that he’d been the one to deliver the killing blow, Aaron confessed all – only for Ruby to reveal that it had actually been her. Sneaking into the depot after Aaron fled the scene, she smothered her molester father to death.

By the time Aaron and John returned to the scene, Anthony was dead, and John and Aaron set about cleaning up Ruby’s handiwork. Or should that be Aaron’s? It was essentially a group effort, but Aaron had a strong reaction to discovering he was innocent.

Aaron is overreacting, say Emmerdale fans as Ruby tells the truth

As the episode aired, fans took to social media to share their thoughts on this surprising turn of events. And many wondered why Aaron was making it all about himself.

“Aaron has actually lost the plot He has to be the victim doesn’t he?” said one fan.

“Aaron NEEDS to be the victim or he won’t accept it,” said another.

“Sorry why is Aaron making it all about him, why would she be thinking about him it’s not all about him god he’s infuriating!!” said a third frustrated viewer.

“Aaron making everything about him,” another said.

Caleb, Ruby and Aaron argue on Emmerdale

What happens next as Ruby reveals she killed Anthony?

Aaron’s mood does make some sense, given that he and John have spent the week covering up Anthony’s murder. This involved Aaron sneaking into Ruby and Caleb’s home to steal Anthony’s passport and keys, then moving his car to the garage.

The game was almost rumbled when Manpreet witnessed their dodgy conversation and overheard some curious sounds coming from the garage. However, cooler heads prevailed, and it looks as though they might have gotten away with it.

But with Laurel choosing yesterday to also confess to the police, the foursome may now have some difficult questions to answer. Emmerdale spoilers for next week haven’t revealed what happens next – but the game is far from over.

  • What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Aaron confessed, but Ruby made an even bigger confession as Anthony’s true killer was exposed

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Aaron confessed, but Ruby made an even bigger confession as Anthony’s true killer was exposed

Emmerdale tonight was a huge twist in the Anthony murder storyline when it turned out Aaron didn’t kill him after all. Of course, viewers had suspected all along someone else had finished the job – and it turned out that someone was Ruby. With Caleb’s help.

But as Aaron, John, Ruby and Caleb came up with a plan to cover everything up, the foursome look set to be derailed after Laurel decided to confess to the police.

Here’s everything that happened in Emmerdale tonight, Thursday January 30.

The truth about Anthony’s murderer was revealed

Unable to cope with the guilt Aaron told Ruby everything (Credit: ITV)

    Aaron confessed

Aaron was overwhelmed as John gave him a pep talk about keeping it together. He couldn’t stop thinking about self-harming. So he went to see Ruby, who was desperate to avoid talking to him.

“I’m scared I’m going to do something really bad,” he told her. He confessed he had a history of self-harming and was getting the urges to do it again. Ruby tried to talk him down telling him not to dwell on the past. He told her about Gordon hanging himself and apologised for taking justice away from Ruby.

Aaron then confessed: “I killed him, Ruby, I killed your dad.”

Ruby confessed who had really killed Anthony in Emmerdale

As he recounted what had happened, Ruby begged him to stop, but then she stopped him with her own bombshell: “You didn’t kill him. I did.”

We flashed back (again) as Ruby told Aaron what had happened. She had found Anthony in a bad way, but still alive. She was going to leave him, but then when he touched her she snapped, grabbed a rag and suffocated him to death.

Aaron was shellshocked that she then allowed him to think he had killed someone. She insisted she had been going to the police, but she couldn’t bring herself to tell her children everything. Ruby told Caleb, who said he would make it all go away.

Caleb went to the depot to clean up, but found out John and Aaron had got there first. Aaron was devastated that they didn’t say anything to him and were trying to frame him.

    Caleb played bad cop

Mid-conversation, Caleb returned and discovered Ruby had confessed and Aaron thought he has been set up for murder.

Caleb played bad cop and said if Aaron reported them all roads led back to him so he’d be landing himself in it. But Ruby broke down and begged Aaron not to go to the police, revealing the truth about Anthony being Steph’s real dad.

    The cover-up completed

Aaron called John and the four of them laid out their next plan. John was obviously furious, but Caleb pointed out they were all culpable and needed to work together to get their stories straight.

John assured them Anthony’s body would not be found. Their story is he’s a free spirit who’s gone off to blow his fortune before he dies.

The only remaining worry was Steph searching for her grandad. But Caleb assured she would give up eventually.

However, then Chas walked in and had overheard the last part of the conversation, so wanted answers. Aaron was adamant he was going to tell Chas the truth. But would she agree to the cover-up?

Laurel ruined everything in Emmerdale tonight

Laurel was still wittering on. Kerry reported to Nicola she’d seen Laurel with a bottle of vodka, so Nicola went to search Laurel’s recycling.

Laurel insisted there was only one bottle and she poured it down the sink. She doesn’t want to go to meetings, she doesn’t want to talk to anyone, she wants to tell her secret. For goodness sake, Laurel, just give it a rest.

She sees it as a decision between confessing and going to prison or starting to drink again.

Nicola found out from Chas that Anthony had supposedly been seen and had just left of his own accord, but she was too late to inform Laurel who was at the police station, confessing she had killed someone.

So she is about to ruin everything for everyone. Bloomin’ Laurel.

Kerry was still trying to get through to Eric, but he was reluctant to engage with her. He was acting suspiciously and it didn’t take Kerry long to find his stash of arson equipment and realise what he was planning.

Eric insisted it was a victimless crime, but Kerry then confessed she started the fire that killed Frank. Pollard was still determined to go ahead with his plan, just saying he wouldn’t be so stupid as to let anyone get hurt.

Pollard went to visit Val’s gravestone to talk things through, but there he encountered Bob, sobbing. Bob had been avoiding going to see Heath’s headstone due to his overwhelming grief. The two had a heart to heart as Eric encouraged Bob to accept Heath was gone and try to celebrate his life.

Bob later returned home to offer his support to Cathy and told her he was ready to see Heath’s headstone. Together he and Cathy took all of Heath’s favourite foods and celebrated Heath’s life at the graveyard.

It seemed his chat with Bob had helped Eric too as he realised nothing was going to bring Brenda back to him. He was not going to burn down the shop. Fortuntately.

Emmerdale: ‘Controlling’ John ‘the new Tom King’ say fans amid fears for Aaron

Emmerdale fans have grown concerned for Aaron, branding John Sugden ‘the new Tom King.’ John’s controlling side has come out as he attempts to protect Aaron from the consequences of killing Anthony.

Cleaning the crime scene and hiding the body, John has been Aaron’s rock. However, viewers have seen another side of John. In addition to handling the situation, he’s also attempted to keep Aaron from spiralling out of control or confessing to Ruby.

Last night’s episode (Wednesday, January 29) saw John remain firm in his stance that Aaron should keep quiet about the attack – Aaron’s own feelings on the matter be damned.

This has kept Aaron out of prison so far, but some have suggested that his behaviour towards Aaron seems a bit familiar… reminiscent, in fact, of one Tom King.

John ‘the new Tom’ suggest Emmerdale fans as he ‘controls’ Aaron

Writing on X as recent scenes aired, fans shared their thoughts on the chilly interplay between John and Aaron. And a few were unsettled by John’s demeanor with Aaron.

“John is the new Tom and Aaron is going to end up being a version of belle, John does like to be in control,” wrote one fan.

“John is really controlling Aaron,” observed another.

“I have to say John really creeped me out he seems very controlling and the differences between him & what Robert would have done is really apparent, John doesn’t know Aaron at all,” said a third.

But what does John’s controlling side mean for Aaron?

    What’s John’s game?

No sooner had Tom King been sentenced to prison than Anthony filled the role of village creep. As Tom’s story came to an end, so Ruby’s ramped up. The soap then confirmed that he’d raped her as a teenager.

Anthony is now dead – with Aaron having apparently beaten him to death. John’s willingness to cover up a serious crime had many baffled, pointing out that he might have an ulterior motive.

Many are convinced that John isn’t what he seems – with theories ranging from serial killer to psychopath. Devoted (if slightly creepy) boyfriend or controlling would-be killer? What’s John up to?

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Guilty Aaron almost gave into his demons as he begged John to let him confess

Emmerdale tonight saw both Aaron and Laurel almost give into their demons as they struggled to cope with Anthony’s demise. They each stopped short of going through with it, but for how much longer can they resist?

Meanwhile, Amy left Matty blindsided with her baby plans and Kerry tried to help Pollard.

Here’s everything that happened in Emmerdale tonight, Wednesday January 29.

Aaron almost self harmed in Emmerdale tonight

John and Aaron let themselves out of the garage and agreed they had never been there. Tell that to Manpreet, lads. Aaron also wasn’t so keen on forgetting all about it, worried about Ruby.

Back to Manpreet, who was talking to PC Swirling in the cafe. She has been hearing late night noises at the garage. He told her to talk to Cain and if she wanted to report it, she needed to go to Environmental Health not the police. Looks like John and Aaron are in the clear… for now.

Aaron was drinking in the Hide when Ruby arrived and Aaron decided to buy her a beer. Aaron skirted around the issue, wanting to talk about Anthony and her feelings over him. Ruby immediately shut him down and went to leave, just as John arrived.

John stopped Aaron saying any more, but Aaron argued he had robbed Ruby of justice. Emotional blackmail was next on John’s list and that made Aaron stop and think. Although Aaron agreed to keep quiet, he stormed off on John, unhappy with how things were panning out.

So unhappy that, back at home, he was staring at the knives in the kitchen thinking dark thoughts.

Tearfully he picked one up and brought it to his skin. Catching sight of himself in the knife’s reflection, Aaron stopped before cutting himself, but broke down in tears. How much longer can he keep this bottled up?

Matty was faced with a big decision

Matty and Victoria were suspicious of Amy, who was full of the joys of spring and arranging a surprise for Matty. Her surprise was Dale View and she wanted her and Matty to rent it. She then dropped the baby bombshell on him, which left him completely speechless.

He later went to see his mum, but ended up confiding in Cain instead. Matty felt like Amy was making decisions without him. He was worried his child would suffer because of who he is. Cain advised him he would be a good dad and told him nothing else was important if he wanted children.

    Will Matty rethink?

    Laurel almost relapsed

Laurel had bought half the supermarket so the kids were stocked up for when she went to prison. She told Nicola she was going to confess to Ruby and Steph – or go to the police.

Laurel decided the church was her first port of call, where Charles offered to talk, but she decided the church was not the answer after all. What was the answer, she realised, was the booze. Or at least she thought it was, opened the bottle, sniffed it and then poured it all away.

    Also in Emmerdale tonight…

Bob was shaken by the news Heath’s headstone was being erected tomorrow. He confided once again in Manpreet.

Elsewhere, Kerry was worried about Pollard, and Amy advised she get him doing yoga. Apparently, Val used to do it with him and he loved it. Kerry approached him with yoga mats in the shop, but Eric refused.
