Who’s leaving Emmerdale? A complete guide to exits, returns and newcomers to the Dales

The Emmerdale cast changes regularly, but who’s leaving Emmerdale next? The village is always busy with comings and goings, and this year is proving to be no different! We’ve recently said goodbye to Nate Robinson, and also waved off Samson Dingle, Suni Sharma, Nicky Miligan and Ethan Anderson this year.

And we’ve welcomed back Ross Barton!

And there is more drama to come in the shape of exits and entrances. Here’s the lowdown on who we’re going to be meeting and who’s saying farewell to the Dales.

    Who’s leaving Emmerdale?

    Emmerdale's Will serious

Will Taylor was the most recent exit to air on-screen as he shocked the nation with his death this Christmas.

On Christmas Day, Will and Kim held a vow renewal before Joe Tate rocked up and told Kim all about Will’s plan to get revenge on her. It turned out that whilst Will thought that Joe (or Jamie as he mistakenly thought) was on his side, he’d been double-crossed.

The stress (or so we think) got too much for Will and he ended up collapsing to the ground and bringing the Home Farm Christmas tree down with him.

He then suffered a heart attack but Kim mistook this for a panic attack and failed to help him, instead powdering her nose and relishing in his suffering.

It was only when Joe Tate turned up and recognised the signs of a heart attack that Kim sprung into action. But, it was too late and Will passed away. Brutal.

    Ella Forster

Actress Paula Lane is reportedly leaving the show in 2025. Paula has played the role of Ella Forster in Emmerdale since the beginning of the year, but it looks like an exit is already set.

The news was revealed on Paula’s own talent Spotlight page, which is linked in her Instagram bio. It states that while she is currently playing Ella in Emmerdale, she is set to finish filming in February 2025. This suggests the character’s Emmerdale exit will appear on the screen in spring time. Emmerdale Insider reached out to Emmerdale who told us they do not comment on cast contracts.

Ella has been part of some huge storylines this year. She quickly became friends with Mandy Dingle and found a romantic spark with Liam Cavanagh. But it all fell apart when it was revealed she had killed a friend of hers during her childhood, and was jailed for a long time

Ella was then pregnant with Liam’s baby and she hoped to rekindle their romance. But she tragically lost the baby, and Liam’s focus was on his feelings for Chas Dingle.

Just last week Ella found out the pair are now giving their relationship a go, and fans have predicted Ella will let her ‘psycho’ side out.

But could this be what leads to her exit?

    Brenda Walker

A report in The Mirror has suggested Lesley Dunlop is leaving her role as Brenda Walker after 16 years. The exit has not been officially announced and Emmerdale has declined to comment.

A source told the publication: “There have been so many exits recently and the talk is of more. With people like Lesley and Roxy potentially in the mix, nobody feels safe.

“The show has grown a lot bigger in recent years but soaps are expensive to make. It’s inevitable saving money means losing people – but it’s a huge shame all the same for those involved, their friends and colleagues.”

Brenda owns the local cafe alongside Nicola King. She is the partner of Eric Pollard and has helped him through his Parkinson’s diagnosis. At the start of this year Brenda was left devastated when her stepson, Heath, was killed in a car accident.

Currently Brenda has no idea Eric has taken their life savings and invested it in a bogus cryptocurrency scheme. She’s sure to find out before too long as all their accounts are empty. But will she forgive him? Or could this cause her to leave?

In real life Lesley is married to Chris Chittell who plays Eric.

    Amelia Spencer

It’s been announced that Daisy Campbell, who plays Amelia Spencer, is leaving Emmerdale after 13 years.

Amelia’s has been in a relationship with domestic abuser Tom King, leaving fans worried she might meet a sad end, though Daisy has said the door is being left open so she could return.

Recently she finally saw the light about the man she had been defending and helped the police to catch him. Tom has tried to get her back on side, but she has refused to be put on his prison call list.

So what finally forces Amelia out of Emmerdale? She’s struggling with the shame and guilt of not believing Belle, has spraypainted Jimmy and Nicola’s door with the word ‘scum’ and is feeling lost and alone. Will she leave the village to seek a new life away from all her past trauma?

    Tom King

Evil Tom King’s campaign of abuse against poor Belle is due to be resolved at the end of the year. Actor James Chase is said to be leaving the show and fans are already speculating how he departs.

Currently Tom is in prison after he was caught out spying on Belle. Cops – including the wonderful DS Foy – had enough evidence to charge Tom with coercive and controlling behaviour. Although he was let out on bail, he decided to skip the country and thanks to some very clever work by Belle, his escape was foiled and he was caught before he could board the ferry.

However, that was not the last we’ve seen of Tom. He is trying all he can to lie and manipulate his way out of prison. He’s set to get cousin Angelica on board to try and fight his case.

And with his trial set for before Christmas Tom is on his way out of the show one way or another – but will it be a lengthy stint in prison? Or a life of freedom?

    Leyla Harding

Reports have emerged that Leyla Harding, who’s played by Roxy Shahidi, is to leave the show in dramatic fashion!

Last month, it was rumoured that Leyla will be departing Emmerdale forever! Stories hit the press suggesting that Leyla could be killed off in explosive scenes.

Fans have been speculating wildly about how Leyla might shuffle off this mortal coil with some viewers even suggesting serial killer Meena Jutla could return to finish Leyla off.

Meanwhile, other fans have suggested evil Tom King could strike the killer blow, or someone else entirely.

We’re frankly devastated by the very idea of Leyla leaving and taking faint hope from the fact that the good people at Emmerdale haven’t confirmed or denied the rumours.

    Who’s joining Emmerdale?

Emmerdale has not released any upcoming casting information.

    Who’s returning to Emmerdale?

Well we don’t know details, but show boss Iain MacLeod told Digital Spy back in September: “This Christmas, there is a huge surprise arrival on Christmas Day. As well as some life or death jeopardy on Christmas Day – but obviously there will be festive brilliance as we do every year – but I think it is one of the most exciting Christmases that I can remember on Emmerdale this year!”

Speculation is now rife that the ‘surprise arrival’ will in fact be a return. Many fans think Pete Barton will come home, now his brother Ross is settling in the village again.

Others think Joe Tate, who may or may not be plotting against Kim (could be just wishful thinking) will be back. And some are hoping (still) for the Robert Sugden comeback they’ve been calling for. Just as John and Aaron are set for a happy Christmas together, could Robert come back to stir up the pot?

  • Daz Spencer: secret daughter, sneaky kisses, and a bitter rivalry with brother Dan

Daz Spencer: secret daughter, sneaky kisses, and a bitter rivalry with brother Dan

Daz Spencer is returning to Emmerdale after five years, for Amelia’s exit story.

Daz is Amelia’s biological dad and she – along with daughter Esther – will leave Yorkshire for a new life with Daz in Leicester.

So we thought the time was right for a quick reminder about who Daz was, what he got up to during his years on Emmerdale and where he’s been.

Here’s the lowdown on everything you need to know about Daz Spencer.

    Daz Spencer looking worried
Daz went through a lot (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)

    Who is Daz Spencer?

Daz is the biological father of Amelia, and brother to Dan Spencer – who thought he was Amelia’s dad, and who brought her up.

After a quick stint in the village in 2014, Daz moved on and then returned for two years in 2017.

Daz’s history included time in the army. He held the rank of Staff Sergeant and served in Afghanistan.

When he arrived in Emmerdale, he claimed he was working as a private security consultant after 18 years of service, and told brother Dan he’d left the army of his own accord.

    But that wasn’t exactly true…

Daz kisses Kerry as Dan watches in shock

    Daz arrives in Emmerdale

Dan wasn’t overjoyed to see his brother but he agreed to let him stay, mostly because son Sean talked him into it. But it wasn’t long before Dan was regretting his decision, when Daz kicked off his stay by arranging a robbery at David’s shop.

Not only that, Daz took a fancy to Dan’s fiancée, Kerry Wyatt. He even tried to kiss her at his brother’s stag do!

Dan saw everything and not surprisingly, he fell out with his brother. After some digging, it came out that Daz had actually been kicked out of the army rather than leaving of his own accord. Fed up with all the lies, Dan kicked him out.

    Daz returns to the Dales

A couple of years after his initial 2014 arrival, Daz made it back to the village. He wasn’t quite done with his drama yet…

In 2017, Daz was homeless and roaming the streets. Kerry spotted him begging and trying to con money in Hotten. She tracked him down to a ‘Haircuts for the Homeless’ event, but he bolted as soon as he saw Kerry.

Kerry is nothing if not tenacious, mind you, and didn’t give up. She brought the brothers together, which ended up in a scuffle, and Daz left. But Kerry took pity on him and let him have a shower in her and Dan’s house before he went.

Dan lost his temper and Kerry snapped. Fed up with how badly he was treating his brother, she tricked Dan into going to the pub with his friends, stole his keys and locked him out of the house, in order to teach him a lesson about what Daz had been through.

Amelia and Kerry pleaded with Dan and eventually he relented and allowed Daz to stay in his camper van. Daz got a job at the cafe and settled into village life.

Emmerdale: Daz and Dan make up

With relations still prickly between Dan and Daz, tensions came to a head when Dan discovered Daz was carrying a knife.

Amelia had begged him to get rid, but he said it was a memento of his army days that he’d held onto it out of sentimentality.

Eventually, it was revealed that Dan had been involved in an incident whilst homeless, where he had been beaten up and urinated on by a group of thugs while he was sleeping. Daz ended up in hospital with a fractured skull and broken ribs. He couldn’t even eat food for a week. Not surprisingly, Daz had developed PTSD.

When Dan heard all this, he softened towards his brother and told him he, Kerry and Amelia would be there for him.

    Another hiccup for the Spencers

Daz is actually the biological father of Amelia, despite Dan raising her.

Dan always believed that he was Amelia’s father. But, Daz did a paternity test in 2018 after Amelia’s mum, Ali, died.

The test revealed that Daz was actually Amelia’s biological dad (which came as a bit of a shock to everyone).

Not surprisingly, Amelia struggled with this news at first. With her head all over the place, she ended up going missing. She was found living with a rather creepy girl called Beth who she’d met in an online chatroom.

Daz left the village in 2019 after drunkenly running down Graham Foster. At first Amelia took the blame for the hit and run, wanting to protect her dad.

  • Mark Jordon: Arrest ordeal, children’s health battles, and return to Emmerdale

Mark Jordon: Arrest ordeal, children’s health battles, and return to Emmerdale

Mark Jordon makes a brief return to Emmerdale this week, as Daz Spencer comes back to the village to collect his daughter, Amelia.

Amelia has decided to move to Leicester with her dad, and start afresh after her ordeal with Tom King. So Daz came back to the village to help her pack.

Mark Jordon, who plays Daz, came back for just one episode after five years away. So we thought it was time to recap everything we know about the actor, including why he left Emmerdale and where he’s been.

    Mark Jordon’s early career

After being a jobbing actor for a few years, Mark became a household name when he won the role of PC Phil Bellamy in the cosy 1990s drama Heartbeat. He played PC Bellamy from 1992 until 2007 and appeared in more than 300 episodes of the show!

He also played PC Bellamy in Heartbeat spin-off The Royal.

Mark’s appeared in Casualty, Holby City, Coronation Street, Hollyoaks and Doctors over the years.

And in 2014, he joined Emmerdale as troublesome Daz Spencer. His first stint in the soap wasn’t a long one, but in 2017 he returned, this time staying for two years.

    Mark’s personal life

Mark met his partner Laura Norton – who plays Kerry Wyatt – during his time at Emmerdale.

He had been married previously, to Happy Valley star Siobhan Finneran. Mark and Siobhan have two children together, who are now in their 20s – Poppy and Joseph. They divorced in 2014.

    Children’s health battles

Mark and Laura have two young children. Both their son Jesse and their daughter Ronnie have been diagnosed with Usher Syndrome. Usher Syndrome is a rare genetic disease that affects hearing and vision.

Both Mark and Laura have become patrons of the Cure Usher Syndrome charity and have thrown themselves into raising awareness of the condition.

    Mark’s arrest

In 2018, Mark Jordon was accused of attacking Andrew Potts outside a pub called the Farrars Arms in Oldham.

A jury at Manchester’s Minshull Street Crown Court found the actor not guilty of affray, unlawful wounding and assault by beating. He had denied the charges and said he acted in self-defence.

Speaking outside court, Mark said he was  pleased his “awful ordeal” had ended.

The jury members were told that Mark had been involved in a row which started in a  beer garden, where Mark and Laura were celebrating their engagement.

The court heard that Andrew Potts had made what Mark said were “vile comments” about his daughter and CCTV footage showed Mr Jordon having to be held back as he tried to grab Andrew Potts’ phone.

Later, the pair came face to face again and jurors were told Mark Jordon bit Andrew Potts in a scuffle. He told the jury it was “not planned, regretful and in the moment”. Mark Jordon suffered a broken wrist.

Mark was written out of Emmerdale following the allegations. When the verdicts were read out, Mark Jordon was tearful, and speaking outside court later, he said he was looking forward to getting back to his career.

Since then he has appeared in ITV’s Yorkshire Ripper drama, The Long Shadow, on stage and now on Emmerdale once more.

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Daz returned, Amelia left and Will panicked

Emmerdale tonight saw an emotional exit as Amelia said goodbye to the village. She left with her dad, Daz Spencer, who returned for one episode for the farewell.

Meanwhile, Belle was coming to terms with the trial being over and Tom being gone, plus April spiralled further out of control. And, while Dawn and Billy got good news about Evan, it wasn’t such good news for Will…

Here’s everything that went down in Emmerdale tonight.

    Belle started to move on

After the trial and Tom’s sentencing, Belle was still processing it all, but trying to focus on moving forward, but she had realised it was going to take time. Amelia came to see her and apologised again, but  Belle told her it was in the past and they had to both start the rest of their lives.

However, Belle was starting to piece more things together – including Tom being responsible for the attack on Vinny. As she also mourned Piper, it’s only a matter of time before she puts that together as well…

    Daz returned

Elsewhere, Mandy was worried Tom wasn’t done yet and when she and Kerry spotted a man dressed all in black skulking around, they pounced thinking he had been sent by Tom to terrorise Amelia.

It turned out it was Daz Spencer who had returned for Amelia. She had called him for help – Amelia and Esther are moving to live with him in Leicester.

Kerry was distraught, Lydia and Sam upset to be losing Esther, but Amelia was adamant she needed to go. Today. Despite Kerry’s vehement opposition, Amelia knew it was the best thing for her, especially as she would be closer to Dan in prison.

Amelia has been planning this for a while, it seems, and Samson and Lydia, although sad, gave her their blessing to go. Kerry, however, did not and stormed out of the house.

Amelia left – with Kerry’s blessing

Kerry turned to Belle to ‘talk sense’ into Amelia and talk her out of going. But Belle wouldn’t help. She knows it’s Amelia’s decision and she couldn’t be forced to stay. Belle told Kerry not to try and control Amelia like Tom had.

Back at the house, Amy was throwing Amelia a small going away party. Belle arrived to offer her support, but Kerry still didn’t turn up.

Everyone gathered by the car to say goodbye to Amelia and Esther. Kerry ran over at the last minute and tearfully gave her blessing before Amelia left for the Dales for good.

Good news and bad in Emmerdale tonight

Billy and Dawn were celebrating Evan’s first birthday in hospital. Then they got the news Evan could come home for Christmas – and for good. And – get this – the news actually made them both smile. We know, it’s a Christmas miracle.

It was also the news they needed to kick Billy into touch. He admitted he’d been selfish and an idiot and he was sorry. Billy said he was putting his ego aside and moving into Home Farm with his family. Dawn was thrilled and they were reunited, but Will isn’t going to be pleased at all.

Sure enough, he wasn’t! As the family toasted their fresh start all together at Home Farm he clearly knew this was all going to end in tears. But will it be his or Kim’s?

    Also in Emmerdale tonight…

Bob was planning a Christmas concert to honour Heath’s memory and invited the entire village.

Meanwhile, April was still sulking and stole money out of Marlon’s jacket pocket. She bunked off school and went to the cricket pavilion to down vodka again. Cathy caught up with her and tried to talk some sense into her. But April was more concerned with getting some weed.

Marlon was fuming when Bob and Cathy arrived to reveal April had bought Cathy vapes. Marlon was at the end of his tether, unsure what to do, especially when Bob told him she’d taken vodka from the B&B too. They were both so worried, but don’t know what to do.

4 Emmerdale spoilers for tonight: Bob has an idea, and Amelia leaves the village

And a familiar face returns to see Amelia off.

Read below for full Emmerdale spoilers for tonight.

Emmerdale spoilers 1. Amelia leaves the village

It’s Amelia’s last day in the village. The sudden news of her departure is clearly a shock to those who love her like Kerry and Amy.

    2. Daz returns

A familiar face returns for Amelia’s exit!

And with Dan, in prison, it’s Daz who makes a surprise appearance in the village tonight.

Daz makes a brief stop in the village to collect Amelia, as she makes the decision to put her life in the village to the side, and live with him instead.

Emmerdale spoilers 3. Marlon gets a shock

The last few weeks have been tricky for April. Not only was she kidnapped and held off the edge of a building – the same on where her mum died – but she also found out the truth regarding Donna’s death.

When Ross told her everything, he thought it would help her deal with it all better. But it appears to have had the opposite effect on her.

We know that April’s rebellious streak was all sparked by this. But it seems in Emmerdale spoilers for tonight, she just keeps spiralling out of control.

And one person who doesn’t know how to handle it, is Marlon. He isn’t used to April misbehaving, and so the sudden change in her attitude leaves him confused and struggling.

    4. Bob tries to keep Heath’s memory alive

It’s almost been one whole year since Heath died. And it’s been quite an eventful one.

Angelica has already served her time for causing his death, and is now back in the village.

While Bob has been trying to focus on the future, the Christmas period doesn’t help him. So, to honour Heath and his son’s love for music, he decides to organise a carol concert in his memory.

Daz Spencer set to return as Amelia exits the soap

Amelia Spencer is set to leave the soap in the coming weeks, sparking the return of Daz Spencer for her exit.

Daisy Campbell recently told Emmerdale Insider and other media that Amelia will leave the village with Daz in her final scenes on the soap.

Amelia’s final scenes are set to air on the week beginning December 16th. It’s set to be an emotional one.

Daz Spencer returns to Emmerdale for Amelia departure

With Amelia opening her eyes up to what her boyfriend Tom is really like, she’s left feeling awful ahead of his trial.

Due to this, Amelia decides to leave the village to start afresh. She wants to put her baby Esther first from now on.

This comes as Daisy Campbell was axed from the soap after 13 years as Amelia Spencer.

Now, with Amelia’s final scenes due to air this month, Daisy has confirmed that Mark Jordan’s Daz Spencer will make a short comeback as Amelia goes to live with him.

Reflecting on her last scenes on Emmerdale, Daisy said: “It was weird because we film in two week blocks so the first week was really emotional because Mark Jordan comes back (Daz) so it was lovely to see him again.”

    Remember Daz Spencer?

Daz Spencer is actually the biological father of Amelia, despite Dan raising her.

Dan always believed that he was Amelia’s father. But, Daz did a paternity test in 2018 after Ali died. This then revealed that Daz was actually Amelia’s biological dad (woah!)

Amelia struggled with this news at first (and we don’t blame her), and ended up going missing. She was found living with a rather creepy girl called Beth who she’d met in an online chatroom.

Daz left the village in 2019 but is about to come back this month as Amelia goes to live with him.

Daisy Campbell reveals reality tv career hopes amid soap exit

Emmerdale star Daisy Campbell has revealed what she hopes to do after she leaves the soap this year. Speaking about her upcoming exit, the actor has revealed how she hopes to take part in one of the BBC’s biggest reality TV shows.

It was revealed earlier this year thar Daisy, who plays Amelia Spencer on the soap, has been axed. She will exit the dales in scenes airing over Christmas – following Amelia’s part in Tom’s abusing wife Belle.

Recent scenes saw Amelia learn the truth about boyfriend Tom. This came as she finally realised that he was responsible for the abuse and coercive control of wife Belle.

Until now, Amelia had believed all of Tom’s lies, including his claims that Belle had been the real monster in their relationship.

Amelia sees the truth as Tom is exposed

Tom’s carefully stacked house of cards all came crashing down when the police managed to recover evidence from Tom’s tablet. And this all backed up Belle’s version of events.

As Tom attempted to flee, Amelia realised he hadn’t been entirely honest with her. In the Woolpack, she revealed how he’d fled the country. Thankfully, Belle had other plans – and the police arrested Tom, fake passport in hand.

With Daisy’s exit scenes as Amelia due to air in the coming weeks, she’s already spoken out on what she hopes to do next.

Daisy Campbell reveals plans after Emmerdale exit

Speaking on her plans for the future, Daisy said: “There’s so much I want to do. I really want to do Strictly, like that’s one thing I really want to do next year because I’m a dancer. I’ve always danced. I’ve danced since I was three and I don’t know how to do the Salsa or anything so I think that would be really cool to learn.”

On the possibility of entering the jungle to take part in I’m A Celebrity, Daisy revealed: “I’d really like to do it, I think it’d be fun because obviously you just don’t know how you’d be in there because you just have to really push yourself down to what you’re eating and everything.

“But Strictly’s my one, because I just know that I would really, really enjoy the experience from dancing as a kid and everything.”

Daisy is no stranger to reality TV, having appeared as a panelist on the Big Brother spin-off Late & Live last month.

But will Daisy’s post-Emmerdale dreams come true?

From surprise leaving bash to set souvenirs, inside Daisy Campbell’s last days at Emmerdale following axe

For Emmerdale star Daisy Campbell, she shocked fans in October when she revealed she had been axed from the show, after 13 years.

Daisy has played long-standing Amelia Spencer since she was eight years old. Now, at the age of 21, she is leaving the show.

At the time of the announcement Daisy revealed it wasn’t her choice to leave. One day she found herself being called in to a confidential meeting, and was told Amelia’s time in the village would end just before Christmas.

She decided to not tell anyone the news for a while, as she processed it herself. But now that it’s out in the world, she’s looking to the future.

Having been such a huge part of the show for so long, it’s no shock that Daisy found herself being surprised by a party set up by her friends.

So here’s what she had to say about her last days on Emmerdale.

    Emmerdale Daisy Campbell on leaving

13 years is a long time to be anywhere, so over the years, Daisy had accumulated a lot of memories in the form of souvenirs.

Daisy admitted that she did actually take some away with her. She said: “On our jackets, we have our names on the back. So I took mine because no-one is going to be wearing my name.”

But she didn’t stop there, as she confessed her ‘love’ for Amelia’s clothing meant she ‘took all of Amelia’s jackets.’

For Daisy, she admits Emmerdale ‘is all she has ever known,’ so looking to the future is something that ‘excites’ her.

“I think it’s a perfect age to leave”, she explained. “I’ve got no responsibilities so I can do what I want. I’m really excited to see what comes my way and what opportunities arise.”

In terms of what she would like to do next, Daisy just wants ‘a challenge,’  admitting she wants to see what she will ‘be like on another set.’

When it came to a leaving party, her friends and co-stars Katie and Rosie (Sarah and Gabby) were the brains behind the event.

She explained: “They surprised me. I didn’t know where it was so anytime the cast would speak to me about it I was like ‘don’t tell me because I don’t know where it is.’

“It was the day after I finished and wrapped. It was a really lovely night.”

The night involved drinks, dancing and all round good fun. And for the Emmerdale star, she just enjoyed seeing everyone there.

Something which everyone would expect to be a hugely emotional time is filming the final scenes. But by the time it came to the end, Daisy was no longer crying that much.

The filming schedule could be partly the cause of that, as the 21-year-old explained.

“We film in two week blocks, so the first week was really emotional. Mark Jordan (Daz) comes back. It was lovely to see him again.

“On my last week I felt fine. I didn’t really cry that much. I was actually proud of myself.”

But one person who brought the tears out, was Laura Norton (Kerry). Daisy confessed that because Laura is ‘really good at doing emotions,’ she finds, “when she cries I cry.”

Amelia has been part of some huge storylines over the last 13 years. And most recently involved in the Tom and Belle storyline. So when her exit airs, it’s safe to say she will be missed.

  • Daisy Campbell defends naïve Amelia Spencer’s relationship with Tom amid fan backlash for her character

Daisy Campbell defends naïve Amelia Spencer’s relationship with Tom amid fan backlash for her character

Emmerdale star Daisy Campbell has defended ‘naive’ Amelia amid her controversial relationship with village abuser Tom King.

Along with his uncle Jimmy, Amelia has been one of Tom’s few defenders, even as the net closed in on him and his lies.

It all came crashing down for Tom recently (Thursday, November 28), as DS Foy arrested Tom while he tried to flee the country.

Belle had managed to turn the tables on Tom, sneaking her phone into his bag as he gloated and threatened her. She then told the police, who tracked the device and arrested him at the ferry port.

By now, the evidence is overwhelming – and not even Jimmy or Amelia can turn a blind eye anymore.

Star Daisy has revealed her own thoughts on the situation. When asked whether she thinks Amelia would know better, she said: “I think she would. I’ve had a lot of comments off people saying your character’s so annoying at the minute because she’s not seeing Tom for who he is.

“But, I think people forget that it’s a story we’re trying to tell. He’s such a manipulator. He knows what he’s doing, and obviously he’s done it with Belle so he can do it to someone else.

She added: “Because Amelia’s so much younger, she’s only 18, she is very vulnerable.”

Hitting back at fan comments, Daisy said: “It frustrates me because I’m like this is the story. This is how it is. This is real life. But it does frustrate me in some areas because I’m like oh come on Amelia, you’ve got a kid now, he’s older, come on, get the cogs turning because she should know.”

Amelia to leave Emmerdale as the Tom faces justice

The truth is out now – but what’s next for Amelia? Daisy revealed earlier this year that she had been axed from the soap during a meeting with producers.

Amelia is expected to leave at Christmas – as the soap wraps up Tom and Belle’s story for good.

It’s now been revealed that Amelia will leave the village with Daz Spencer in upcoming scenes.

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Tom still isn’t done scheming and Anthony shared some bad news

Emmerdale tonight saw Tom King vow to keep fighting in his battle against Belle, with him instructing his solicitor to get Amelia back on side.

Meanwhile, Anthony returned and shared some sad news with his family, but Ruby refused to believe a word of it.

Here’s everything that happened in Emmerdale on Friday November 29.

Emmerdale tonight: Amelia did something stupid

No, she hasn’t taken Tom back, thank God… The episode opened with Jimmy attempting to scrub the word “scum” from the front door. While Angelica wondered if it was about her, Nicola was quick to insist that it “was done by someone who hates Tom”. So that narrows it down then…

As Charity and Belle stopped by to say it wasn’t them, Jimmy took the opportunity to apologise to Belle for not seeing through Tom’s lies sooner. Charity said they didn’t blame him. She was soon distracted by Amelia in the distance and followed her to the church.

Sitting in the church, Charity was quick to realise that Amelia had been the one to spray ‘Scum’ on the door. Amelia said she knew it was stupid as Tom is not even there! Amelia just wanted to do something to make herself feel better as she felt so guilty for what she’d put Belle through by believing all of Tom’s lies.

Charity reassured Amelia that none of it was her fault, telling her Tom did a number on her – he saw a young, single mum with no family, someone vulnerable who he could use. Amelia agreed, saying: “He was so lovely at first, then I saw the mean side to him and he was so clever at explaining that away.”

Later, Amelia confessed to Jimmy that she had been behind the graffiti and offered to help clean it off. She also apologised to Belle, who told her she forgave her and that they could all move on.

Tom continued to plot from behind bars

In prison, Tom phoned his solicitor mate Ollie and threatened him to keep representing him. “Maybe the police need to know about you…” he snidely told him. He instructed Ollie to keep trying to get hold of Amelia.

Later, Ollie visited Tom and informed him that Amelia still won’t answer his calls and they haven’t been able to add her to his approved caller list. Tom was adamant that they had to keep trying though, and said: “Amelia is just upset, so capitalise on that. Say that I’m missing her, I don’t care, say anything. I just need her to be sat in that court supporting her innocent boyfriend, preferably with her daughter.” The twisted mind of Tom…

Ollie told Tom that he might get a reduced sentence if he pleads guilty, but Tom said he’d do no such thing and he vowed to keep fighting Belle. “It’s me against Belle – and a jury,” he said. “Think about it. My wife is a complete nut-job and she’s just come out of the loony bin. She’s not going to make a good impression on the jury and we’re going to make sure of it.” What has Tom got over Ollie and how long will Tom keep deluding himself for?

    Anthony shared some bad news

Ruby’s dad Anthony recently arrived to a hostile reception from his daughter. He returned in tonight’s episode and informed granddaughter Steph that he had prostate cancer and didn’t know how much longer he had left.

Steph told him him they’d make the most of every moment, with Anthony agreeing and saying, “now I really must make peace with your mother.”

However, Ruby was not pleased to see her dad back. After Steph revealed all about the prostate cancer, Ruby responded that she didn’t believe a word of it and walked off.

Later, Caleb and Steph tried again to encourage Ruby to clear the air with her dad, but she remained reluctant. What has happened between them that Ruby can’t get over?

    Elsewhere in Emmerdale tonight

    Eric continued to play dangerously

Following the engagement party, Brenda confirmed that her and Eric’s wedding will be taking place in January. She revealed that Eric is being super generous – wedding of her dreams followed by a round the world cruise.

Following the revelation that Eric had invested his money in cryptocurrency, Leyla encouraged him to quit while he was ahead. However, later, he phoned “Mikey” and asked for a short term loan, using his property as collateral. Uh oh, this one isn’t going to end well.

    Ella didn’t hold back

Meanwhile, Chas and Ella met up. Chas informed Ella that her and Liam were going to go public with their relationship. Ella was angry as she told Chas that she would miss sneaking around. “It’s what you do best, secret affairs, you love it,” she said. She then went on to say: “You’ve got form as long as your arm, which means you’ll probably get bored of Liam and cheat on him too. I hope he breaks your heart first, if you’ve even got one.” Don’t hold back, Ella…
