Fans of Emmerdale have predicted that Nicola King could be the one to finally expose Tom for his abusive behaviour towards ex-wife Belle.
Tom has been living with uncle Jimmy and his wife Nicola since the collapse of his marriage to Belle. At the same time, he has continued his manipulation of his (now ex) wife – spying on her with hidden cameras, running over Piper in a fit of rage, and now striking up a relationship with the newly-single Amelia Spencer.
With all of this going on under Nicola’s nose, could she be the one to realise what Tom is playing at?

Nicola to discover Tom’s hidden camera feed?
Writing on a Reddit thread, one fan shared their theory that Nicola might stumble across evidence of Tom’s wrongdoing.
“There’s a possibility Nicola could be the one who realises Belle is right. She could open his laptop accidentally to see a live feed of Belle just sitting there,” wrote one fan.
“I was thinking something like that. You would think he wouldn’t be so careless with even leaving it out in the open, even if closed, in their house, but he actually watches their feed in their common areas instead of in private as well. That just seems reckless, so yeahhh, somebody is going to find out that way,” agreed another.
Meanwhile, another wondered how Belle hadn’t spotted Tom’s cameras already.

“She COULD just look UP when sat on her couch. It’s DIRECTLY facing a camera that’s on a presumably bare wall. Can’t exactly be hard to spot the thing that’s in such an obvious spot,” said a third.
Clearly, this is just a ploy to get under Belle’s skin… but an effective one, regardless.

Belle attempts to warn Amelia about her new man
Belle was horrified to learn that Tom had a new victim in his sights – and recognised all the red flags as he even promised to sort Amelia out with a new puppy.
Cornering Amelia in The Woolpack toilets, Belle attempted to warn her what Tom was up to – but bull-headed Amelia was having none of it, and snapped back, demanding that Belle stop ‘stalking’ her ex.

Belle was then humiliated out in the pub as Kerry tore a strip off her for allegedly threatening Amelia in the loos.
Afterwards, Tom let himself into their home to ‘check up on’ his estranged wife (sure, Tom) and try to convince her to get back together.
A ridiculous idea but, according to fans, not a far-fetched one.

Belle to take back Tom to save Amelia, fans predict
As the episode aired, fans took to social media to share their thoughts on the episode’s developments. And many wondered whether Belle might accept Tom’s attempts to rekindle their marriage, for Amelia’s sake.
“Belle is gonna take him back to save Amelia,” wrote one fan.

“Why do I have a horrible gut feeling that Belle is going to get back with Tom so she takes the (metaphorical & physical) hits from Tom instead of Amelia?” suggested another.

This week’s Emmerdale review is an emotional rollercoaster – just like the soap itself! We’ve been pulled every which way this week and frankly we don’t know whether we’re happy, sad or just plain confused!
Read on to find out what’s been leaving our heads in a spin in this week’s Emmerdale review.
Piper’s alive! But Tom’s still evil (Credit: ITV)
Piper’s alive!
Of course the big revelation this week was that poor Piper, Belle’s beloved pooch, is ALIVE!
We have to admit, we had our suspicions. We’ve been soap fans long enough to know that, in the words of Taylor Swift, ‘no body, no crime’.
But even though we didn’t see Tom run Piper over, we wondered if we were being a bit hopeful. Maybe the soap rules were different for animals. And things did look bleak when Tom brought Piper’s little wicker coffin up to Wishing Well to bury her beside Belle’s Shetland pony, Hamish.
And then! The best twist ever! Piper’s alive! For a second we were thrilled to bits. Except, Tom’s given her away, and Belle still thinks she’s dead. How evil can one man be?! Honestly, THIS is what we mean by an emotional rollercoaster!
Ella was furious when Amelia posted a photo of her on the salon socials (Credit: ITV)
Ella lashes out!
We can’t quite get to grips with how we’re supposed to feel about child killer Ella.
On the one hand, she’s done her time and everyone deserves a second chance. On the other – she doesn’t exactly help herself, does she?!
This week, when Gary – the cousin of her victim, Joanne – turned up at Ella’s birthday celebrations, Ella lost it.
Wendy tried to help but Ella lashed out, giving poor Wendy a huge thump in the face and scaring her. It turned out Ella wanted to be sent back to prison – the only real home she’d ever had.
But on top of our conflicted feelings about Ella, we also felt a bit odd about Liam and Manpreet trying to gaslight a frightened and battered Wendy into withdrawing her statement. Ella may have had her reasons, but she still attacked Wendy.
Maybe we just need to get to know Ella better, but for now, the jury’s out on how we feel about this former jailbird.
Jai’s up to something, but so is Caleb (Credit: ITV)
Jai and Laurel’s money battle
Jai and Laurel’s divorce is becoming more acrimonious by the day and this week things took a turn. Except we’re not quite sure what’s going on.
Everyone’s lying and scheming and covering things up and now Caleb seems to be involved and we’re completely baffled.
All we really know is we’re totally Team Laurel!
Will’s fretting (Credit: ITV)
What’s Dawn up to in our Emmerdale review?
So Rose vanished, Will thinks Kim is responsible, Kim thinks Will did it, and she’s gone off to Dubai which makes Will even more suspicious that she’s the guilty party.
Meanwhile, Will’s sending Dawn messages from Rose’s phone and fretting, while Dawn worries about where her mum is.
Except.
In Friday’s episode we discovered that Dawn’s been lying. She’s setting Will up for something and we’re not sure who’s in on it? Is this Dawn working with Rose to take revenge on her dad?
Or is it Dawn and Kim who have teamed up? Could Dawn, Kim AND Rose all be in on it? What even is IT? We’re so confused – and looking forward to next week’s episodes when hopefully it’ll all be explained.

Emmerdale tonight saw the aftermath of Piper’s road ‘accident’ take place. Emmerdale really decided to break all of our hearts and kill off the little pup. We’re never going to forgive them for this one!
Elsewhere, Sarah was excited to break the law as Charity took her joyriding. However, she soon realised that she’d never committed any sort of crime after all.
Here’s a recap of everything that happened in Emmerdale on Monday August, 19th.
Piper’s no more (Credit: ITV)
One of the most heartbreaking soap deaths ever – RIP Piper
After purposely running Piper over with Belle’s retro Mini, Tom tried to act like a hero tonight. He relished in telling Belle and Lydia that he’d spent all night trying to save the little pup’s life.
However, he then confessed that it would be the kindest thing for Piper to be put down due to the extent of her injuries (sob!) We were hoping for some miracle by this point. Surely Emmerdale wouldn’t be so cruel as to kill off our favourite soap pet like… ever?!
We were wrong though, as Belle entered the consultation room at the vets and said one last goodbye to her forever friend. With Belle unable to watch Piper take her last breath, Tom was the one to stay with Piper at the very end.
Tom then told Belle that Piper had passed away. Off he then went to take the rest of the day off to process her passing (let’s hope the image of Piper’s adorable little face haunts him until the day he dies!)
By the end of the ep, Belle gave Tom a piece of her mind after accusing him of killing Piper. She told him that he made her ‘skin crawl’ (we can only agree Belle!) He then told her that she’d regret saying that she doesn’t love him anymore…
Is it possible for Tom to stoop any lower? We’ve already been traumatised enough by Piper’s death, we can’t take anything else!

Sarah’s yet to break the law
Sarah’s been feeling down lately. She’s complained about missing out on doing all of the things others her age do. She especially felt upset when she’d had a few alcoholic drinks at Mandy and Paddy’s wedding, only to be told off by Charity for drinking whilst on medication.
Hoping to give Sarah a ‘proper’ Dingle experience, Charity surprised her by taking her out joyriding in a fancy car tonight. Sarah was thrilled to be taking the wheels for a spin. She felt like a right little rebel.
Once they returned back to the village, Sarah’s inner criminal continued to make an appearance. She suggested torching the car so that they wouldn’t be caught for the theft (Sarah really went from 0 to 100 super fast, right?)
There was one slight problem with this though… the car wasn’t actually stolen. Yes, Sarah found out that she was still on the right side of the law when Vinny put his foot in it and revealed the car to be borrowed off his mate. Awks! We’ve never seen someone so upset about not breaking the law before…
Also in Emmerdale tonight…
Jai and Laurel were still bickering like teenagers, unable to remain civil with each other whilst at work in The Hide (anyone else fed up of their same repetitive arguments yet?) Jai then dropped the bombshell that he was selling his shares of The Hide to the highest bidder! We could practically see the cogs whirring in Laurel and Gabby’s minds after this one as Laurel offered to buy Jai’s shares.
Gabby seemed to be doing hardly any work tonight (no change there) as she flirted with one of the customers at The Hide… in front of Vinny. Vinny’s jealousy was obvious as he quizzed Gabby on ‘Handsome Chris.’ Chill Vinny, this whole thing with Gabby’s only meant to be a bit of ‘fun,’ right?
Well! There is a lot to say in this week’s Emmerdale review! Because what a week of Emmerdale that was!
Even in such an action-packed week, of course one story stands out: Tom’s evil attempt to hurt Belle by hurting Piper!
It was gasp-out-loud shocking and we are desperately hoping that Piper pulls through.
And that was only a small part of the dramatic events in this week’s Emmerdale. Read on for the rest of our Emmerdale review of the week to find out what we thought.
Paddy and Mandy’s super-quick wedding in our Emmerdale review
After a few hiccups, Paddy and Mandy finally made it to the altar for the second time, 25 years after they first tied the knot. They raced through their vows in record speed so they could get it all done before vicar Charles had to rush off again.
And that was really the theme of the whole thing – speed. Mandy’s money troubles only emerged a couple of weeks ago, she set up her fin-dom alter-ego Madame Diamante Dales last week, and paid off a chunk of her debts almost immediately.
Bear exposed Mandy’s alter-ego! (Credit: ITV)
The truth is out!
But within days, her future father-in-law Bear had found out, given her an ultimatum to stop or he would tell Paddy. Mandy agreed, but Bear set her up, exposed her – in a manner of speaking – and the truth was out.
Paddy decided the wedding was off, but a quick chat with Mandy later and everything was on again.
Our heads were spinning with the speed of it all. But we can’t deny it’s nice to see Paddy and Mandy happy. Let’s just hope it lasts!
Newcomer John has intrigued us (Credit: ITV)
Sugden secrets
Normally a newcomer to the village who’s hiding a secret leaves us cold. But to our own surprise, we’re finding John Sugden rather intriguing!
It’s partly the casting. Oliver Farnworth is bringing hints of both Jack and Robert Sugden to the role, and physically he’s perfect to be a Sugden. (We reserve the right to take all of this back in a future Emmerdale review if John turns out not to be a family member after all!)
Why does John have a dog tag with the name Aidan Moore on it? (Credit: ITV)
More secrets!
Anyway, John’s prickly nature and downright hatred of Mack has won us over (come on, Mack’s very annoying!). And then Victoria found his army dog tag. He said he didn’t want to talk about that part of his life, which is interesting in itself.
We loved Liv but it’s nice to see Vinny finding some happiness after so much heartache. And who knows, maybe he’ll calm Gabby down a bit. We think this unlikely match could just work.
Poor Piper! (Credit: ITV/Emmerdale Insider)
Tom and Piper
OMG, where to begin with this one?! We still feel a bit sick just thinking about it. Having tormented Belle while she was in Scotland with endless messages, her abusive husband Tom was determined to keep up his harassment when she returned.
First, he bought her a car, which everyone thought was totally lovely – except Belle herself (and Charity, who’s thankfully still suspicious). Belle turned down his gift, but Tom wasn’t finished.
He let himself into the cottage, bringing flowers and a pint of milk for Belle, and acting like everything was normal. He told Belle they should get back together, and when she said no, he wasn’t happy.
Tom tried his old tricks, telling Belle she wasn’t strong enough to make such a big decision. He even threatened to take his own life. It was tough to watch! But Belle stayed strong.
Tom was soon back to his old tricks (Credit: ITV)
More threats
As usual, though, Tom had the upper hand – chillingly watching Belle through his hidden cameras. He could even see her undressing in the bathroom and later watched her sleep FROM INSIDE HER HOUSE. We’re into horror movie territory here!
And that wasn’t even the worst bit. In Friday’s episode, Belle stood up to Tom in public, humiliating him in the pub. And so Tom took terrible revenge.
He drove off in the Mini he’d bought for Belle and saw Piper in the road. Did he stop to make sure she was safe? No. He. Did. Not.
Instead, he put his foot down and accelerated towards the helpless pup.
Did you gasp out loud? We definitely did! Will evil Tom be the hero for saving the pooch’s life, or will he give Belle a shoulder to cry on if Piper doesn’t make it? Either way, it’s not looking good for Belle!

Emmerdale tonight could possibly have aired the worst scenes in its history. Tom took his anger out on Piper the dog in a way that has gone beyond anything he’s ever done before. We are shook.
Meanwhile, Gabby gave out confusing signals, but we think she likes Vinny, and Aaron’s pleased for them, so that’s all good.
There was plenty to talk about in Friday August 16 episode of Emmerdale.
Evil is the only word to describe Tom now (Credit: ITV)
Peeping Tom the monster
Let’s talk about Tom first shall we? Actually let’s organise a mob to go and get him and make him suffer.
Just when we thought he couldn’t get any worse than secretly putting cameras in Belle’s house to spy on her getting changed and sleeping, he proved us wrong. He went further than he’s ever been before and he actually hurt Piper.
Belle decided to brave it out and go to Sam’s birthday drinks in the Woolpack. But lo and behold, Tom was there waiting. He tried to play the nice guy, but soon when she rejected him – and his car – again he grabbed her tightly by the wrist and became menacing. Of course, only very quietly so no one could hear him.
But then Belle flipped and shouted at him to leave her alone and get out. Tom stood up and made a big show of giving in to her demands leaving the punters in no doubt about who was in the wrong here.
It soon became clear why Tom had been so adamant about Belle taking the car – he’d put a GPS tracker in it. Of course he had.
But as he was driving it off to sell it on, he came across Piper in the road. He didn’t stop and rescue her, no, no, he put his foot down and drove straight at her. He ran Piper over.
HE RAN PIPER OVER. We cannot. We actually cannot deal with him. WHAT. A. MONSTER.
Later he was seen with the dog wrapped in a blanket running to the vets. Belle hurried after him as he promised to do all he could to save Piper’s life.
If that dog does not make it, we swear we will not be responsible for our actions.
Aaron gave his blessing (Credit: ITV)
What does Gabby want?
Gabby was honoured Vinny’s first time was with her, but she just wants to keep it ‘fun’. Vinny seemed unclear what ‘fun’ was – and honestly, she confused us too. Not casual, apparently. So what?
Well certainly not doing things as a couple, because she was very reluctant to attend Sam’s birthday drinks with him. But was more than happy to have round two later on.
Meanwhile, Aaron told Vinny he was happy for him and glad he was moving on and it was all really lovely. As long as Gabby makes her mind up about what she wants, we see no trouble brewing here…
Sarah wants more out of life (Credit: ITV)
Sarah was fed-up in Emmerdale tonight
Charity was furious to find Sarah hungover having slept in a car at the garage. She went mad telling Sarah she knows the risk of boozing. But Sarah is feeling fed-up. And we can’t blame her really – what does she have going on? An apprenticeship at the garage, no real friends and no romantic prospects, it’s not exactly scintillating for an 19-year old, is it?
So Charity promised her a day filled with excitement – and she didn’t mean Sam’s birthday party.
Mandy and Paddy were making their presence felt in Emmerdale tonight
Liam did not get much sleep after Mandy and Paddy’s bedroom Olympics. They ended up back at Liam’s place after Nicola chucked them out of the B&B for being too loud and disturbing the other guests. How classy.
Meanwhile, Liam’s space was well and truly invaded when Mandy announced she was moving in and giving the place a leopard print makeover. And she’s only going to charge him mates’ rates for her interior design skills. Lucky, lucky Liam.
Also in Emmerdale tonight…
Nate tried to make friends with John, who made it clear as well as family, he also doesn’t need friends. Honestly, we’d have stopped bothering ages ago. But Victoria and Nate are both still pushing and finally got him to accept a drink in the pub later on. Small victories and all that.
Soon he even challenged Mack to a game of darts, which got fraught when Mack bet £100 he’d win. He lost.
Elsewhere, Amelia is fast becoming one of the most unlikeable people in the village. After laying into Noah last week and sticking by Samson, who’s done nothing for her ever apart from reject her and be mean, she laid into Belle tonight.
Without knowing anything at all about the situation, she stuck her nose in where it really wasn’t wanted and gave Belle what for for standing up to Tom. Apparently Belle was too harsh and Tom’s a good guy.
What it’s got to do with her, we really don’t know. But once again, Amelia’s behaviour has left us baffled. Has she ever spoken to Tom? Does she know anything about him? Is she developing a crush – is that where this is going? Maybe if sees what he’s really like, she’ll have the judgemental frown wiped off her face.
Tom King is back to manipulating and trying to control estranged wife Belle Dingle in Emmerdale. Although he’s watched her on cameras before, tonight took things to a whole new level.
Belle has told Tom she needs complete space from him – she doesn’t want to see or hear from him. He agreed and backed off – but we know he’s watching her on his phone on secret cameras he’s installed while she’s been away.
It’s a huge invasion of privacy – at least she knew the others were there. And it means he’s not giving her the space she’s asked for.
But is it the worst thing he’s done? Let’s take a look at the timeline of all the creepy things Tom has done to Belle since their doomed union began second time around.
Tom’s violence reared its head before they married (Credit: ITV)
1. Pushing her into a table
During the big ‘Who killed Craig’ week last year, Belle revealed her alibi was Tom proposing to her. But she had felt like it wasn’t the right time to get engaged and rejected the ring.
However, what viewers saw, but Belle didn’t explain to her family, was that Tom had lashed out at her for rejecting his proposal and pushed her violently into a table. Belle then injured her head, making Tom direct his manipulative behaviour towards her in a bid to make her stay with him.
2. Calling off the wedding
Belle didn’t want to lose the surname Dingle when she got married. Well, who can blame her when it’s such an iconic one?
But Tom wasn’t having that, he needed her to be his and only his and was determined to scrub out her connection to the Dingles once and for all. When he threatened to call off the wedding, Belle agreed to take his name. But we’ll always call her a Dingle!
3. Wedding night rejection
Tom wasn’t impressed by the Dingle celebrations on his big day. He became more frustrated at the reception as he watched them transform the event into pure chaos.
Things were made worse when Ruby stood up in front of everybody ready to make a spectacle. Tom was livid and blamed Belle for her family ruining everything.
Belle then decided to read a letter from her late mum Lisa, left for her on her wedding day. But Tom tried to stop her and accused her of caring more about her family than him. He then demanded that Belle spent the night on the sofa.
Tom’s belittling was horrendous (Credit: ITV)
4. Tom humiliated Belle in Emmerdale
Wanting to give him a sexy surprise, Belle turned up at the vets in nothing but a trench coat. Tom was horrified, rejected and humiliated her and made her feel worthless. He also meddled with her job at Take A Vow, losing her a huge client.
Belle had no idea she was being spied on (Credit: ITV)
5. Tracking her on an app
Tom downloaded an app on his phone which kept track of Belle and her movements. He had her under constant surveillance, but she had no idea.
6. Tom faked a robbery to scare Belle in Emmerdale
When his tracking app proved Belle wasn’t where she said she was, Tom went home and smashed the house up. He then told Belle they’d been robbed and hid her engagement and wedding rings to make her feel even more guilty.
As Belle started to feel unsafe at home as a result of Tom’s lies, he took the opportunity to install a lot of security cameras so now he had a valid excuse for watching her all the time.
Vinny didn’t do it! (Credit: ITV)
7. Isolating Belle from best friend Vinny in Emmerdale
If anyone’s going to spot abuse, it’s Vinny who was abused by did dad, Paul Ashdale. So jealous Tom knew he had to keep them apart at all costs. He kidnapped Piper when she was under Vinny’s care and led Belle to believe it was all Vinny’s fault.
He then attacked Vinny and left him for dead at the Scrap Yard. When Vinny survived, Tom belittled him and made fun of him being a virgin to further push him away.
Things got physical (Credit: ITV)
8. Physical abuse
After a while, Tom’s mental abuse turned physical. He punched Belle in the stomach and held her hand under scalding water. He then gaslighted her into thinking he wasn’t involved in those awful things.
Belle was not ready to have kids (Credit: ITV)
9. Tom forced Belle to get pregnant in Emmerdale
Belle made it very clear she didn’t want a baby at this point, she wasn’t ready and was worried for her mental health. But Tom pushed and pushed and gaslit and eventually she gave in even though she really didn’t want to.
10. Turned everyone on to his side
Throughout all of this, Tom has manipulated everyone into believing Belle is the one with the problem. He told Dr Liam Belle was aggressive and scared him. He faked it that Belle wasn’t taking her medication and he even managed to convince Charity and Cain, Belle’s loving and protective family, he is the victim here.
Poor Piper! (Credit: ITV/Emmerdale Insider)
11. Abused Piper
This had fans up in arms: when Tom drugged Piper the dog to make Belle come home from the mental health unit. Of course Belle rushed back thinking her beloved pooch was dying, but Piper made a miraculous recovery.
Piper was then at the centre of Tom’s plot again when he locked her outside all night in Wales and forbid Belle from tending to her. He then told Belle she should have brought Piper in and it wasn’t fair to have left her out there all that time!
12. Tom locked Belle in in Emmerdale
A number of times, Tom has taken Belle’s keys and locked her in the house. Once a fire started on the stove and she couldn’t get out. But Tom made her believe she’d just misplaced her keys and the door wasn’t even locked.
Belle managed to get away at last (Credit: ITV)
13. The Welsh holiday cottage
Everything that happened during their ‘romantic’ getaway was simply awful. From the way he forced her to make his toast, to locking Piper out and Belle in, to screaming and shouting at her and her cutting her hand. It’s no wonder Belle made a getaway – but how long can she stay away from him for?
So what was Tom’s absolute worst moment?
He’s done so much bad stuff the jury is definitely still out on what was the worst – but the Emmerdale Insider team definitely have their thoughts.
Kaggie Hyland – Editor-in-Chief
“Leaving Piper outside all night at the cottage – well, any and all abuse of the puppy! And Lisa’s ashes – knowing he was destroying something so precious that could never be replaced was so low.”
Carena Crawford – Editor
“The gaslighting and physical abuse of Belle (and Piper) had been tough to watch, but for me it’s locking her in the house. I could feel myself panicking as Belle couldn’t get out.”
Tamzin Meyer – Assistant Soaps Editor
“The worst thing for me was definitely when he drugged poor little, absolutely adorable Piper to make her ill. Those scenes were sickening!”
Kerry Barrett – Freelance Soap Writer
“Even despite Tom’s violence and manipulation up until now, I was really shocked this week when he was watching Belle sleeping on his phone. It seemed like such an invasion of a space where she should feel safe, and she appeared so vulnerable. It made me shiver.”
Joel Harley – Freelance Soap Writer
“The physical abuse – punching her in the stomach after she told him he needs help; holding her hand under scalding hot water – then gaslighting her over it all afterwards.”
Emmerdale tonight saw Mandy and Paddy’s big day called off then back on, then nearly called off, then finally on again. They said I do in record speed and pledged this was forever. Let’s all just remember forever equates to a couple of days in Soapland, eh?
Also, Tom’s manipulation tactics did not work on a returning Belle, but he’s not worried because he has something else up his sleeve…
Here’s a recap of everything that happened in Emmerdale on Thursday August 15.
Mandy was not giving up without a fight (Credit: ITV)
Mandy and Paddy’s slapstick wedding day
Paddy decided he couldn’t go ahead with the wedding. So gleeful Bear called everything off before breaking the news to Mandy herself. Mandy was already dressed and sparkling (t0 say the least) ready for her big day, but Bear didn’t care a jot.
Paddy wasn’t fussed over how she was making the money, it was the lies. But they soon reconciled, Paddy’s lending her the money to pay her debts and it was a race against time to get the wedding back on.
Now, it depends whether you like slapstick and Mandy-style comedy as to whether you enjoyed the next bit. They raced round the village and then waited at the church. Charles had a funeral so needed to get going and one by one the guests arrived, all having gone back to work and all hilariously (!) asking if they had time to get changed. “No,” everyone shouted in response each time.
But with no sign of Vinny or Bear it looked like they were going to miss the ceremony. They weren’t answering their phones or anywhere to be found. So Mandy raced outside and bellowed: “VINNY” across the Dales. He shouted back and then made it to the wedding. It’s a miracle.
After saying I do at super-top speed, Paddy and Mandy were hitched. “No regrets,” Pads told his new bride. “This time it’s forever.” Which usually means it’ll last about six months then all go wrong.

Tom lurked and spied on Belle in Emmerdale tonight
Belle arrived home from Scotland to find Sarah and a Mini waiting for her. Sarah handed over the keys, told Belle it was hers and it was a gift from Tom. Belle refused to accept it.
Before she could barely get in the front door, Tom had let himself in with milk and flowers to welcome her home. Let’s talk about getting back together was his opening gambit. But shocked Belle fought her clear anxiety and told him she didn’t want the car and they weren’t getting back together.
Tom tried to manipulate her and told her her brain couldn’t make those sorts of decisions because she was mentally unstable, but Belle stood firm. She told him no contact, no texts nothing at all. He surprisingly agreed.
Of course we all know why he agreed when he was then seen watching Belle sleeping on his phone. With secret cameras all over the house, there is absolutely no escape for Belle yet. Sigh.
Aw, happiness at last? (Credit: ITV)
Vinny and Gabby got it on
After an awkward encounter in the village, Gabby went home with a bottle of wine for one rather than go to the wedding with Vinny. Vinny turned up to apologise to Gabby for his behaviour last time. They kissed and she led him to the bedroom. Cherry popped.
Also in Emmerdale tonight…
Victoria couldn’t find John, despite her very best stalker efforts. She thought he’d left town. But eventually she found him – once again squaring off with Mack and Aaron at the pub – and they finally agreed on how to proceed. John is going to live in his, apparently stinky, van, but have a shower at Victoria’s and kick a ball around with Harry. That’s that sorted, then.
John also apologised to Sarah, who blackmailed him into buying her a drink.
Elsewhere, Nicola broke down and confided in Bob Angel is staying in prison for longer due to her fight. Bob told her at least she’s getting her child back and then apologised immediately. We mean, he does have a point…
Meanwhile, Charity was desperate to find out why the wedding had been called off originally. She told Mack “It won’t last anyway”, but he insisted they would be having “hot sex” until they were in their 90s.
Charity has also started to suspect Tom again. Her Spidey Senses are tingling apparently – and not from Mack’s hot sex comment. If she could just make up her mind about Tom and stick to it, that would be much easier!
Emmerdale star James Chase has revealed why Tom King and Belle Dingle‘s storyline cannot end yet, despite fans pleading for the abusive marriage to come to a close.
Tom has been manipulating and controlling Belle ever since they tied the knot. However, Belle has started to recognise she’s being abused and has split up with Tom.
It’s previously been confirmed that Belle and Tom’s storyline will continue for a while, but it’s still to be revealed how it will come to an end.

Tom and Belle’s split
Following their disastrous weekend away in Wales, Belle and Tom split up. Belle finally realised she was being mistreated and was even seen researching whether she’d been a victim of abuse.
Tom has moved out of their home, leaving Belle there with Piper. However, Belle has since opted to take a trip away in a bid to have some time to herself.
When she returns, Tom is certain he and Belle will get back together. From surprise gifts to manipulating her, he sets out to win her back.

Actor James Chase says Belle ‘needs justice’
James Chase, who portrays Tom in Emmerdale, has revealed that Belle and Tom’s storyline can’t end yet because there “needs to be more done”.
