Dawn was on a mission in Emmerdale tonight and she thought she’d won when she had Kim arrested at Will’s funeral. But did Queen Kim really have something to do with Will’s death?
Elsewhere, Anthony dropped a bombshell on Caleb and Jacob is still struggling with stress.
Here’s what happened in Emmerdale tonight, Tuesday January 7.
There was drama at Will’s funeral in Emmerdale tonight

Dawn wanted answers
Dawn confronted Ross over Will’s video. But Ross advised her she was barking up the wrong tree and Kim did not kill Will.
Meanwhile, Kim was preparing herself for Will’s funeral, planning to ride to the church on Ice. Kim promised Dawn she would step up and be there for her, but Dawn only gave her a glare in response. Dawn later told Billy Kim killed Will and showed him the video. But Billy wasn’t sure it meant anything – and suggested the video could have been made ages ago and could be a set-up.
Dawn lashed out and sent Kim flying (Credit: ITV)
Dawn attacked Kim in church
The family went to the funeral, with Kim the grieving widow, Dawn steely and unforgiving, and (randomly) Gabby a tearful wreck. Kim delivered a heartfelt eulogy, but Dawn couldn’t keep quiet. She stood up and accused Kim of being a “murdering bitch”.
An argument broke out as Kim defended herself and Dawn revealed the video to the congregation. Kim begged Dawn to believe her, but Dawn shoved her violently into the coffin. She ran out.
Kim continued her eulogy and if she was giving a performance, it convinced us, because we really don’t think she had anything to do with Will’s death. But we could be wrong…
Kim insisted she had nothing to hide, flanked by Joe and taken in by the police (Credit: ITV)
Kim arrested
Dawn returned only for the burial in the graveyard, but was still not interested in forgiving Kim. In fact, she had called the cops, who turned up at the graveside to take Kim in for questioning over Will’s murder.
Kim went willingly, insisting she has nothing to hide. We don’t think she does and we suspect that triumphant look on Dawn’s face will be wiped off it fairly soon. And we’re actually quite glad about that.
Anthony doesn’t have long left. Shame (Credit: ITV)
Anthony dropped a bombshell in Emmerdale tonight
Ruby treated Steph to a spa day so they could spend some time together, but Steph was not keen. Ruby pushed her into agreeing and she gave in.
Meanwhile, Anthony asked Caleb if they could have a chat alone. The oncology team had told him the cancer is spreading faster than expected. Anthony does not have long left.
As we collectively breathed a sigh of relief, oblivious Caleb comforted his father-in-law, who insisted Ruby and Steph mustn’t know about the scan results. He wants Ruby’s forgiveness to come from her heart – he’ll have a VERY long wait then.
Also in Emmerdale tonight…
Marlon is appealing
Marlon was furious over Mary confronting Laurel, but Mary was not sorry. However, the focus was April who is still missing. The family then convinced Marlon to do a social media appeal to ask her to come home. With renewed hope, Marlon agreed.
Jacob’s not coping with stress well (Credit: ITV)
Jacob is still stressed
We’re beginning to wonder if Jacob is cut out to be a doctor to be honest. He’s only done one day on placement and is already struggling with stress. Tonight, he was was shadowing Manpreet at the surgery and helped Bob during an appointment. But Manpreet was worried about Jacob’s stress levels. She advised him to administer self-care, but will he do as she says?

In Emmerdale tonight, Ruby Fox-Miligan sent a DNA test off, so she’ll soon receive answers as to whether Caleb is Steph’s father or not.
Elsewhere, Mary confronted Laurel about her attachment to Marlon, much to Marlon’s dismay.
Here’s all that happened in Emmerdale tonight, Monday January 6.
Ruby collected DNA (Credit: ITV)
Ruby decided to find answers
Following her chat with Chas last week, Ruby ordered a DNA test. Tonight, she collected samples from Steph and Caleb in order to see if there’s a match.
First she pulled a strand of hair from Steph’s head. Steph shouted out ‘ow’ in surprise, with Ruby claiming it had been a grey hair. Seems like she could have gone about it in a less painful way, hairbrush maybe?
Later, Ruby asked Chas if perhaps she was better off living in ignorance. Chas encouraged her to go ahead with the plan. But while she was collecting Caleb’s sample, he walked in. Ruby quickly hid the clear plastic bag and pushed Caleb away when he tried to kiss her.
Caleb was shocked at Ruby’s reaction. She claimed she needed to talk to him about something. But she chickened out of telling him the truth and instead asked him if he would have stayed with her if she hadn’t got pregnant. He insisted he would have. Ruby then told Caleb he was the best thing to ever happen to her and he repeated the sentiment.
Later, Ruby posted the DNA kit and will soon have answers. However, she continued to worry about what the answer might be. Caleb played a song by the Stone Roses and told Steph it was the soundtrack to her being conceived… not awkward at all….
When Anthony walked in, Ruby looked visibly awkward as she continued to fret that Caleb isn’t Steph’s dad.
Dawn made a discovery (Credit: ITV)
Dawn made a discovery in Emmerdale tonight
Following Will’s death from a heart attack over Christmas, Dawn has struggled to process her dad’s death.
Tonight, she got emotional when Jimmy brought over a box of Will’s stuff from the office. When Joe walked in, she sniped at him that the post mortem results would be out soon and they’d know the truth.
However, the coroner later called to share that there was no suspicious activity, leading to Dawn issuing an apology to Joe, who she had previously suspected of being involved in her dad’s death.
The camera then panned to the box of Will’s stuff, showing a memory stick. Dawn later found the memory stick, which had her name on it.
She put the memory stick into a computer, where Will appeared on the screen, saying that if she was watching it then it meant he was dead. He then shocked Dawn by adding: “It also means that Kim did it.”
Mary had a word with Laurel (Credit: ITV)
Mary stuck her nose in
Police called Marlon to inform him they’d made an arrest regarding the girl who was stabbed. Marlon relayed the information to Rhona, who snapped: “Forgive me for not jumping for joy that April hasn’t committed a violent crime.”
Mary told her daughter that she was being harsh on Marlon, before realising that Laurel is to blame for the tension between the couple.
Later in the pub, Marlon recruited Sarah to help him search for April again. Mary said he needed to give himself a break, but Marlon refused.
Rhona continued to be snappy with Marlon, leading to Mary approaching Laurel at the bar. She told Laurel that she had enough support already so she needs to leave Marlon alone.
Laurel walked out of the pub, while Marlon was angry at his mother-in-law’s interference.
Jacob spent the night with Sian (Credit: ITV)
Elsewhere in Emmerdale tonight
Jacob continued to struggle as he burnt the candle at both ends. Early in the episode, his mum Leyla caught him leaving the house with his co-worker Sian. She invited Sian to stay for breakfast, but Jacob felt awkward and was eager to get Sian out of the village. Awkward.
Eric also spotted the pair, and while speaking to him, Sarah Sugden watched on – clearly upset that Jacob had moved on.
Later, Jacob looked stressed as he got on with his studying. His mum said he was burning the candle at both ends and needed to look after himself.
Also, in Emmerdale tonight, Cain Dingle looked unsettled upon discovering that Anthony would be staying in the village.

Tonight’s episode of Emmerdale saw Will Taylor return from beyond the grave to give daughter Dawn some shocking news about the circumstances surrounding his death – which comes as the police arrest Kim Tate later this week.
Dying on the floor of Home Farm, Will’s death left his wife and family shocked. However, what came in tonight’s episode had Dawn questioning everything.
Is her dad telling the truth?

Dawn shocked as Will implicates Kim in his death in Emmerdale tonight
Finding a USB stick among his belongings, Dawn opened the device to find it contained a video from her dad.
“Dawn Love. I hope this means that you’re watching and not someone else,” Will said, via recording.
“But if you are… then that means I’m dead,” he finished dramatically.
Fake news, but Will’s final message sets into motion a chain of events which will see Kim arrested at his funeral later this week…

Emmerdale spoilers: Kim arrested at Will’s funeral
Emmerdale spoilers reveal that Dawn struggles to come to terms with her dad’s death – and Kim’s apparent involvement. As Billy tells her that Will’s message doesn’t actually prove anything, Dawn simmers with rage during the funeral procession.
As Kim delivers her eulogy, Dawn explodes, accusing her of murder in front of the congregation. She reveals the contents of the video to an appalled Kim.
Kim insists that it’s not true, but an argument breaks out – and Dawn pushes Kim into Will’s coffin. Kim tries to get Dawn back on side but, as the coffin is lowered into the ground, the police approach, and Kim is arrested.
They might be arguing now, but Emmerdale fans are sure Dawn Fletcher and Joe Tate’s hate will soon turn to passion!
Joe returned on Christmas Day and witnessed the death of Dawn’s dad Will Taylor. Dawn is convinced Joe, who was plotting with Will against Kim,was responsible for killing her father.
Joe has maintained his innocence and is trying to prove he’s just there to support his family. But does he have his eye on Dawn too?

Joe Tate’s return
In amongst the chaos of Christmas Day in Emmerdale, Joe made a shock return to the village. He made a comeback as part of his scheme to take Kim Tate down, after she attempted to have him killed six years ago.
Following Joe’s arrival at Home Farm, he exposed Will’s involvement in the revenge plot. This led to a row between Kim and Will, who begged for her forgiveness having changed his mind on the plan.
Will then suffered a heart attack, leading to him later being pronounced dead. Following this, Dawn and Billy have grown suspicious of Joe, with the couple wondering if he was involved in Will’s death somehow.

Emmerdale fans predict an affair is on the cards
Despite Dawn’s hostility towards Joe in Emmerdale, fans have predicted the two could embark on an affair behind Billy’s back.
Taking to social media, soap fans predicted things are going to take a turn for Dawn and Joe. One person said: “How long before Dawn and Joe are having an affair?” while a second agreed, commenting: “I give it a couple of episodes before Joe and Dawn…?”
“I can see Joe pursuing Dawn at some point… It just makes sense which makes me worry for Billy,” reasoned a third. A fourth speculated: “I sorta need Joe to have affair with Dawn and Gabby.”
However, some think Dawn could be the one to take Joe down. A fan commented on social media: “If she takes down Joe Tate she will become my most disliked character.”

Marlon started to fear the worst as he took his frustrations out on the police in Emmerdale tonight as they found some worrying evidence.
Elsewhere, Dawn shared her suspicions over Joe with Kim – but, did he kill Will?
Here’s everything that happened in Emmerdale tonight on Monday, December 30.

Police found contraceptive pills in April’s bedroom
Marlon was still feeling sick to his stomach tonight as he sat down with the police as the search for missing April continued.
He relived the argument he’d had with April the day before she went missing, also filling the police in on her finding out how Donna really died.
Police then asked if they could search April’s room, making a rather shocking discovery as they returned with contraceptive pills they’d found. Although, Marlon made things difficult by lashing out at them for not doing enough to bring his daughter home (a bit harsh!)
Marlon then started wondering if April had been secretly seeing a boy, worrying that they’d forced her to take the pills and leave her home.
Police then took April’s electronic devices, hoping that they’d find some sort of name that could help lead them to April.
The episode ended with Marlon looking all sad out of a window, as if April would just magically appear before his very eyes.
Dawn reckoned Joe killed Will (Credit: ITV)
Dawn suspected the worst from Joe in Emmerdale tonight
Dawn’s a fast learner as she’s already figured out that trouble always follows Joe Tate. So, when he suddenly reappeared and turned up at Home Farm just moments before Will’s heart attack, she deciphered that it couldn’t have been a coincidence.
Speaking to Kim, Dawn asked her if she could help her with her dad’s funeral plans. Kim though suggested that Dawn should take some time to grieve first.
Not buying it, Dawn then threatened that the truth would come out at the post mortem.
Anthony was suspicious of Cain
Anthony didn’t get a good vibe from Cain today (but, maybe it was just that his green smoothie didn’t agree with him.) He even made his discomfort known to Charity, noting that Cain was rather rude to him.
Charity and Ruby both told Anthony that he shouldn’t be worried. That was just typical Cain (Anthony has A LOT to learn there.)
But, little did he know was that Ruby was actually trying to stop him from learning the truth about her moment of passion with her husband’s brother. Talk about messy.
Leyla staged an intervention (Credit: ITV)
Also in Emmerdale tonight
Jacob arranged a date with Sarah but ended up leaving her sitting all alone in the pub whilst he headed out for lunch with his mum. Nice.
Leyla then tried to warn Jacob off dating so that he could focus on his final year of studies before becoming a doctor. But, when love’s at play, it’s never that easy to stay away…

Fans have slammed Emmerdale for Billy and Dawn’s storyline taking a different route, and many seem sick of their relationship.
Billy and Dawn used to be a very popular Emmerdale couple. But it seems recently the storylines haven’t managed to keep viewers interested in them.
When they had their baby boy, Evan, things took a sharp turn for the couple. Evan was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukeamia at just four months old.
This meant life for Billy, Dawn and their family had to change. Dawn decided to stay at home so that someone was always there to watch their baby. But this ultimately led to money problems for the Fletchers.
What could have been a storyline focused on a family trying to keep their son healthy as a unit, has turned into more lies, illegal activities and just a whole lot of arguing. So it’s no wonder viewers are getting bored of it.

Viewers slam Emmerdale Billy and Dawn
In recent months Billy lied to Dawn and took part in an illegal fight club – which brought back Ross Barton (Yay!). But even after she found out and gave him a way to earn their family more money, he couldn’t let his ego go.
This ultimately led to him and Dawn having yet another big bust up. But the pair always seem to forgive each other in the end.
In last night’s episode (December 16) Kim Tate told Dawn that she, Billy and the kids could all move back into Home Farm. This would definitely help sort out some of their worries. But Billy of course decided it’s not something he wants to do, claiming the big house is cursed.
This didn’t sit well with viewers, as they argue that if they had no other option then surely Billy would do what’s best for his family?
Taking to a Reddit thread, one viewer wrote: “Billy and Dawn are so painfully boring.”
Another agreed, adding: “This storyline has not been about Evan’s illness at all.”
A third momentarily praised the couple: “Billy and Dawn have completed a sentence without slinging [expletive] at one another.”
But a few moments later updated their comment: “Edit – Here comes the argument.”

Fans question why they are still together
More viewers on X (formerly known as Twitter) backed up the Reddit thread, agreeing that the current storyline involving the couple is quite dull.
One wrote: “Is Billy staying with Dawn purely because of Evan? I can’t see another reason for them to be together.”
Another commented: “Billy and Dawn are truly a miserable couple.”
If the pair move back into Home Farm before Christmas then they will be there to witness it take centre stage on the Christmas Day episode. The countdown is well and truly on for viewers to finally find out who Peter’s mystery man is.

As Will Taylor continues to scam Kim Tate in new Emmerdale spoilers, it all looks set to go very wrong when Dawn is dragged into it. Although Will is determined to protect his daughter, he can’t do so without giving everything away.
So what will he choose? His daughter or his vengeance on Kim?

Will reels Kim in in Emmerdale spoilers
Now, we’re not entirely sure who’s scamming who if we’re totally honest! Does Kim know everything and have a plan up her sleeve (we really hope so) or is she oblivious and thinking Will’s being Mr Romantic? Either way as the week before Christmas begins, the couple appear all loved up.
Kim is touched when Will suggests they keep their vow renewal ceremony intimate. And by that he just means the two of them. But Kim is a bit concerned when he doesn’t intend to invite family.
So she takes matters into her own hands and invites Dawn and the kids herself. Dawn is thrilled and says of course they will be there. Kim bites the bullet and also asks the family to move back into Home Farm.
After all Billy’s done, Dawn should be in charge! (Credit: ITV)
Billy throws a tantrum
Now, this is a timely invite because Jai soon gives Dawn and Billy a week to vacate Holdgate. The problem is, Billy is adamant he will not be moving back to Home Farm. Tricky.
Given everything he’s done lately, we don’t really know if Billy’s in any position to call the shots. However he remains firm there is no way he will go back there. It doesn’t matter that his family don’t have a roof over their heads, apparently his pride is more important.
They do get some good news that Evan could come home for Christmas, but the trouble is, he needs a home to go to!

Will worries in Emmerdale spoilers
When Kim tells Will the ‘good’ news that Dawn will be at their vow renewal, he’s thrown. The walls are closing in and he knows he needs to keep Dawn away.
Then when she turns up with her belongings to move back into Home Farm, Will is in a complete state. He desperately tries to persuade her not to come and live there again.
But with nowhere else to turn and no one else to house her family at Christmas, can Will really push his daughter away? Will he put his plot against Kim first? Or will he come to his senses and save Dawn?

Weddings in Emmerdale are never boring, that’s for sure! From committing bigamy, death on the big day and being jilted at the altar, there’s always plenty of drama.
And that’s only the beginning! Here’s some of the best and most memorable Emmerdale weddings.
Kerry never married Dan (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)
Kerry and Dan’s bigamous wedding
When Kerry and Dan tied the knot, everyone was delighted – except Kerry’s other husband that is! Kev showed up at the reception and announced he was Kerry’s husband, baffling the wedding guests, the groom AND the bride in equal measures! It turned out, he and Kerry had tied the knot in Las Vegas.
Kerry hadn’t believed their marriage was genuine and had forgotten all about it. A punch up ensued, obvs, but Kerry and Dan eventually reconciled – they never made it down the aisle properly though.

Dawn and Billy’s murderous chauffeur
If you’re looking for dramatic wedding days, then look no further than Dawn Taylor and Billy Fletcher’s big day.
Serial killer Meena Jutla was on the run when she returned to Emmerdale on ex-boyfriend Billy’s wedding day. She posed as the wedding chauffeur, kidnapped Dawn and Billy and held them at gunpoint on the viaduct.
Evil Meena claimed she’d hurt Dawn’s surrogate mum, Harriet, as well as her little boy, Lucas. Meena fled, shooting Leyla as she went. Harriet and Lucas were fine, and Meena eventually went to jail for her crimes.
Tina humiliated Luke at the altar (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)
Tina’s revenge on Luke in Emmerdale weddings
In 1994, Ben Dingle had a fight with Luke McAllister. Ben died, though it was later discovered that he had an undiagnosed heart condition.
With the families at war, everyone was surprised when Ben’s sister Tina got together with Luke a year later. She announced her pregnancy and the pair planned their wedding. Luke gave up his A levels, Tina spent all his money and encouraged him to sell family heirlooms.
As the Dingles came round to the relationship, the wedding day loomed. And on the big day, Tina announced she wasn’t actually pregnant and she wasn’t going to marry Luke – it had all been revenge for Ben’s death!
Luke eventually died in an accident, after Tina rejected him, and wracked with guilt, Tina left Emmerdale.
Tina’s wedding day was also the arrival of Tina’s cousin, Mandy Dingle!
Carl didn’t suspect a thing at his wedding to Chas (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)
Chas jilts Carl at the altar
Perhaps she was inspired by her cousin’s revenge plan because 15 years later, Chas Dingle took very similar revenge on Carl King. He’d cheated on her with Eve Jenson and Chas knew everything.
Careful with that gas, Paul. It could… oh, never mind (Credit: ITV)
Emmerdale weddings: Mandy and Paul’s big, explosive day
The viewers knew that Paul Ashdale was a nasty piece of work, but bride to be Mandy Dingle was oblivious. When brave Liv Flaherty went to confront abusive Paul at the wedding venue, there was a shock in store. Jimmy King accidentally drove a haulage truck into the barn, and Paul was pinned under debris, and Liv refused to help. As she walked away, the barn exploded and Paul was killed.
Betty and Seth’s non-wedding
Seth Armstrong and Betty Eagleton had been sweethearts in the past and rekindled their romance after 50 years in 1994.
They decided there was no point in getting married after so long but instead they just had the party in 1940s costumes, with the whole village turning out to wish them well.
Poor Butch only just managed to say his vows (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)
Emily and Butch’s tragic deathbed wedding
Cute couple Emily Wylie and Butch Dingle were planning a wedding when tragedy struck. When the brakes failed on a minibus run by Tate Transport, the bus ploughed into a haulage lorry. Butch Dingle was so badly injured in the crash and doctors told him the sad news that they couldn’t save his life. He and Emily said their wedding vows on his deathbed. Sob!
Butch’s big Dingle funeral introduced the characters of Cain, Charity and Shadrach.
Nicola was fuming with sister Bernice when she found out she was sleeping with the groom (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)
Carlos and Nicola’s bouquet battle
Nicola Blackstock came to Emmerdale to track down her long-lost sister Bernice. It wasn’t long before she’d fallen head over heels for chef Carlos, fallen pregnant, and they got engaged. Except Nicola’s pregnancy was made up, and Bernice was also sleeping with Carlos.
When Bernice found out the truth about the pregnancy, on Nicola’s wedding day, she wanted Nicola to fess up. But when her own secret romance with the groom was revealed, things got physical. Nicola and Bernice had a tussle in the churchyard, and the bride beat up the groom with her bouquet.
Matthew and Anna’s car crash of a day
Matthew King was tying the knot with Anna De Souza despite him watching her dad die in front of her. When his brother Carl revealed the truth, Anna fled. The brothers brawled and Matthew tried to run Carl over. When Anna appeared, he swerved, and crashed into the gatepost. He was thrown through the windscreen and died in Anna’s arms.
Andy and Jo had a very romantic prison wedding in Emmerdale(Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)
Jo and Andy’s prison ceremony
Talk about toxic – Jo Stiles lied and manipulated her way into a relationship with Andy Sugden. The pair had a prison wedding – just like every girl dreams of – because Andy was banged up.
Things got very dark after his release, when he began abusing Jo and even put her in hospital with broken bones. He told the village she had abused him and when everyone believed him, she left Emmerdale forever.
Jonny and Paul tied the knot (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)
Paul and Jonny’s historic day
Paul Lambert fell for handsome Aussie Jonny Foster. Their relationship was full of ups and downs, but their civil partnership in 2008 was the first in any prime time soap.
FINALLY Robron made it official but there was no happily ever after for this fairytale couple (Credit: Shutterstock/ITV)
Emmerdale: Robron’s long awaited wedding
After a lot of drama along the way, fan faves Robert Sugden and Aaron Dingle – Robron – tied the knot in 2017. It was the day after the birth and death of Aaron’s baby sister, Grace, but mum Chas urged him to go ahead. Finally the pair made it official in the pagoda in the village.
Debbie’s wedding to Pete ended in death and destruction (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)
Debbie’s lies bring her wedding day crashing down in Emmerdale
We’ve saved the most dramatic wedding until last! When Debbie Dingle and Pete Barton got engaged they planned a gorgeous country-fair themed wedding. Except Debbie was having a steamy affair with Pete’s brother Ross and all was about to be revealed!
At the reception, a recording of Debbie and Ross admitting to their affair was played to the stunned guests. But that was just the beginning of the drama. At the haulage yard, Chrissie White was confronting cheating husband Robert about his behaviour. She set fire to his car in revenge, and some nearby cans of propane exploded. One of the gas canisters shot into the air, and hit an approaching helicopter. Despite the pilot’s best efforts the chopper plummeted into the village hall.
Ruby Haswell died, Cain rescued son Kyle in the nick of time, and Val Pollard, trapped in the mirror maze with sister Diane Sugden, told rescuers to save her sister first. But Val’s selflessness came at a price as she was impaled by a shard of broken glass.
Bride Debbie was injured and taken away to hospital while Pete and Ross fought seemingly to the death. Pete thought he’d killed his brother, and buried him in a shallow grave, only for Ross to show up again a few weeks later.
Definitely the most dramatic wedding Emmerdale has seen – so far!

This week’s Emmerdale review is written wearily as we force ourselves to watch another bout of illegal boxing and all the toxic men in the village trying to out do each other.
But there were some less exhausting parts too. Here’s what we thought of the action in this week’s Emmerdale review.
Jade seems to be an evil criminal mastermind running a two-bit boxing match in random barns. (Credit: ITV)
Boxing boredom in our Emmerdale review
What on earth is all this then? Nothing about this illegal boxing story makes sense. In no particular order, here are the things that have been bothering us this week…
First up, how is Jade both a two-bit boxing promoter running fights in random barns, and at the same time a criminal mastermind with enough contacts to threaten Billy’s kids and know that Billy’s wife used to be an addict?!
How are her henchmen so evil and strong that they can beat Ross to a pulp, but not bright enough to pick up the money belt that looked like it might have belonged to Martin Fowler.
Why were the people watching the fight a rag-tag group of weirdos but somehow with enough cash to place bets so massive that they had to pay for them with rolls of money? It’s all a mystery.
This is Dawn’s unimpressed face (Credit: ITV)
Dawn stepped up
Dawn came up with the brilliant idea of Billy throwing the fight. Which was a) surprisingly smart for Dawn and b) totally what Jade should have done last week.
But as it happened it didn’t matter, because John called the police and everyone scarpered. And we were left groaning that this whole awful story still isn’t over.
Ross and Dawn share a history (Credit: ITV)
Dawn’s back
It’s hard to remember now she mostly wanders round with a chip on her shoulder and a laundry basket on her hip, but Dawn used to be quite interesting. And she had a bit of an edge to her. We caught a little glimpse of that old Dawn this week and we liked it!
There was a definite spark between her and Ross, which reminded us how much we liked them together back in the day. And it was quite amusing how all the big men – Ross, Billy, Aaron – were scared of Jade, while Dawn just sent her packing. More, please!
First time round, Tina was smart, with a sharp-tongue, and a quick brain. She was a bit classier than the average Dingle – we’re not talking Kim Tate classy but you know what we mean – and she was ambitious, albeit ruthless.
New Tina is a carbon copy of Rose Jackson, in her scheming and lying, and she even looks a bit like her. She probably is entitled to some of Zak’s house but we don’t much care either way.
And we still don’t understand why or how Mandy kept the identity of Vinny’s mum a secret.
Why so much hate for Tina?!
Another thing that’s got us scratching our heads over Tina is why everyone hates her. We admit she did wrong during her time in Emmerdale, but she was devoted to her family and grief-stricken over the loss of her brother Ben.
She and Mandy were always besties and their goodbye was heartfelt and emotional. She even begged Mandy to go to London with her and left her cousin the fancy car Frank Tate had bought her.
We sort of get Mandy having mixed feelings about her now given the Vinny sitch, but what about the rest of the Dingles? It’s all very confusing!
Give Ella something to do for heaven’s sake! (Credit: ITV)
What’s the point of Ella?
We are reluctant to say this out loud because we love Paula Lane, who plays child killer Ella, but what’s the point of her now her secret’s been revealed? Give her something to do! We liked her almost-friendship with Cain, and her bonding with Manpreet for starters. Her backstory does make her hard to like, but surely there’s a place for her somewhere in the village?
Dingles united
One thing we did love about this week’s episode was the bonfire night fiasco with the Guy who looked like Tom King! Tom’s reaction was totally predictable, as he threw a massive tantrum, shouted at poor Amelia, and whinged to Uncle Jimmy.
And we LOVED the Dingles’ Spartacus moment when they all took the blame. The Dingles at their absolute best!

We are really enjoying John and Aaron’s budding romance. They’re so good together and it seems they’re on an even keel now after a pretty rocky start.
Which probably means it’s time for Robert to come back, wouldn’t you say? Hint, hint, Emmerdale writers…

Emmerdale tonight was all about Billy and Ross’ fight club and it turned out everyone lost out – well, almost everyone. Ross has been arrested, Billy has sacrificed his marriage for his ego and Aaron was rushed to hospital. Mack, however, seems to think he has come out on top…
Meanwhile, Chas and Liam risked being exposed and Tina made her presence felt.
Here’s everything that went down in Emmerdale tonight, Thursday November 7.
Fight club in Emmerdale tonight

Billy messed up
Jade turned up at Butlers and announced the fight was now being held in one of the barns there. Elsewhere, Dawn was adamant Billy was throwing the fight – and she was going to bet their money on it to make sure of it. Billy, of course, sulked. Get over yourself, mate!
Dawn then went to visit Ross and it was clear there was a rapport there. But is Billy right, is there more to their relationship? And yes, we did see that look Dawn gave Ross when he took off his shirt! She liked what she saw (and she probably wasn’t the only one!)
As the fight got underway, Billy soon overpowered Ross. Dawn was clearly worried Billy was going back on their arrangement. And it looked like he was because he did not stay down in round three as instructed.
And then John arrived to say the police had been called and the fight come to a halt. So Dawn has lost all their money.
As everybody scarpered Dawn and Billy limped home and he STILL didn’t take responsibility. He was still blaming her and acting like he was the wounded party. But frankly that pain in his stomach is the least he deserves. Dawn did not want to hear it.
She then revealed she had pawned her wedding ring to place the bet and despite Billy’s pleas he would get it back (er, how, exactly, mate?) Dawn told him she didn’t see herself wearing it again. Can’t really blame her, can we?

John saved Aaron’s life
With everyone gone from the barn, Jade’s goons were trying to clear all the evidence before they left. But they soon couldn’t find the money and started fighting over it. Aaron tried to stop one of them leaving as the police pulled up, but he was punched to the floor.
The hit managed to collapse Aaron’s lung and John had to intervene fast to save his life. He used a pen and a sharp knife to intubate and rescued him. And it turns out what he did was a pretty big deal. But will Aaron be grateful?
Mack made a mint
With everyone running off, Mack stayed to deal with the cops, but it was clear he had a plan up his sleeve as he swiped the money and hid it.
After the police left, he was beside himself with joy at the fact he had all the cash. But something tells us this won’t end well for him at all!
Ross was arrested
As everyone else managed to escape, it all came down on poor Ross. He was limping down a country lane when Cain drove past him. But knowing what had gone one, Cain refused to rescue him – just as good old PC Swirling drove round the corner and arrested him. Will Ross rat out Jade and Billy and bring more trouble to his door?
Chas and Liam in Emmerdale tonight
Chas and Liam were all loved-up after the night before. But Ella is still hanging round like a bad smell. She saw Liam coming and pretended to be on the phone setting up a date to make him jealous. However, her phone rang and he caught her out. Liam took her home to talk things through and Ella begged for the truth. He was kind, but still avoided being honest, so she leaned in to kiss him.
Ella then disappeared upstairs, but while she was there, Chas arrived and asked Liam to take her to the hospital. He immediately grabbed his keys and left Ella without saying a word. She walked back downstairs, but has she realised what’s really going on? And what action will she take?

Also in Emmerdale tonight: Tina caused more trouble
Sam found Tina in her caravan in the Dingles’ yard. She turned on the waterworks as she stood over Zak’s grave. But then she made it clear she wants her share of the house. Sam desperately looked for the will and couldn’t find it, suspecting Tina had swiped it.
Tina then arrived at the Woolpack and the Dingles rounded on her. It turned out, Mandy had the will and had stolen it to give to Tina.
Tina then managed to get Sam drunk and got him to spill some secrets – including the fact Vinny is loaded. Using this to her advantage, money-grabbing Tina continued to blackmail Mandy into getting Wishing Well sold so she can get her share. But will Mandy do it?
