Following the revelation that Anthony abused daughter Ruby when she was a teenager, viewers have been wondering if Anthony could be Steph’s dad, rather than Caleb.
Tonight, Ruby goes in search of answers as she quietly pursues a DNA test and collects a hair sample from daughter Steph.
She confides in Chas about her doubts while Cain is also troubled by Anthony’s plans to settle in the village.
Ruby later has a close call when Caleb returns home early just as she’s gathering his DNA. Will he discover what his wife is up to?

But her behaviour hasn’t been as subtle as she wanted. Other villagers, including Cain and Moira have already began to have their own suspicions. But tonight it’s her sister-in-law Chas that wants answers.
Chas worries about Ruby’s drinking habits, along with her constant irritated attitude, and so she tries to piece it together.

Chas’ suspicions lead her to questioning Ruby herself. And while so far Ruby has remained quiet, it seems Chas is the one to break through.
After some grilling, Ruby actually breaks her silence. But what exactly has she told Chas? Was it about her past with her dad? Or is another villager now in on her and Cain’s secret?

3. Jacob’s stress continues
Last night’s episode saw Jacob have the worst start to his A&E placement. When a teenage stab victim came in with April’s purse, Jacob called in Marlon and Rhona, after wrongly believing it was her.
Then he was faced with a drunk Sarah, and things didn’t go down well between them. And to make matters worse, Henry, a patient, died while he was on shift.
After some tough words from his superior on shift, he ended the day with some advice.

Excited for his first shift, Jacob arrives at A&E and meets his supervisor Dr Todd. However, it’s not long before his excitement is dampened when a stab victim is brought in.

The stab victim has April’s purse and Jacob recognises it. Without thinking he panics and immediately calls Marlon. Dr Todd is furious that Jacob has informed the family without asking.
3. Devastating news about ‘April’
Marlon and Rhona race to the hospital and desperate to know whether April is okay. There are no updates and tensions are high. Heartbroken Jacob watches as the nurse enters the family room to tell Marlon and Rhona some heartbreaking news – but is all as it seems?

4. Sarah collapses
As Jacob is chatting to a fellow medical student, he is stopped in his tacks when Charity rushes in with drunk Sarah. Sarah then collapses and Jacob jumps into action. Although he helps her, he gives her some tough love too and Sarah makes a confession to him.

5. Stressed Jacob finds comfort
Later, Jacob is working with an elderly patient called Henry and they bond over family situations. Henry offers comfort to a very stressed Jacob, but will it help?

But now he’s announced he’s staying, and he’s moving into The Mill with the family. Anthony knows about Ruby’s hook-up with Cain and so can pretty much do what he likes or else he will reveal all. The villagers all think he’s wonderful after he donated £5000 to the fund to find missing April and Ruby is completely trapped.
So she does what only she can do: downs Champagne to block it all out. But will it help?

Facing an uncertain future, Cain and Moira want to have a quiet lunch together. She has a hospital appointment tomorrow to go over her radiotherapy treatment.

Marlon agrees to let them search the cottage, but will it help?
3. Ross feels guilty
Confiding in Charity, Ross admits he feels guilty as he thinks April’s disappearance is his fault. Charity tells him to stop moping and get stuck in to help find her.

With the police searching Smithy cottage, Marlon and Rhona quickly notice some of April’s things and some money are missing. They realise she planned to run away and are devastated. Chas knows something is wrong with Ruby. She can see she’s agitated and upset and wants to get to the bottom of it. Eventually Ruby opens up, but what will she tell Chas?

April struggled to process the revelation and started to rebel by bunking off school and drinking. She also lashed out at her dad for not being honest with her. Marlon made the situation worse when he banned her from seeing Ross.
Things came to a head and April run away, devastating Marlon. Marlon has struggled to cope and tonight the search for April continues.

1. Will’s cause of death confirmed
Dawn does not want Joe Tate around and the pair bicker constantly. Soon a call comes in and the coroner confirms Will died natural causes. But does Dawn believe it?
2. Dawn finds evidence against Kim
Going through Will’s belongings, Dawn finds a USB stick with a video of Will accusing Kim of his death. Showing it to Billy, Dawn is convinced something more is at play here, but Billy insists it doesn’t prove anything. Dawn struggles to contain her rage as the funeral procession makes its way down Main Street.
3. Dawn accuses Kim of murder
As Kim delivers her eulogy, Dawn flips out and accuses her of murder in front of the whole congregation. She reveals all about the video and shocked Kim is appalled. She insists it’s not true, but an argument breaks out.
4. Kim arrested in Emmerdale spoilers
After Dawn pushes Kim into Will’s coffin then storms out, Kim tries to get Dawn back on side. But as Will is lowered into the ground, the police approach after Dawn calls them. Can Kim prove her innocence?

5. Rhona and Marlon continue to argue

What do we know? Following her Christmas Eve horsing accident, Will has changed his mind about getting revenge on Kim. He loves her, he wants to be with her and he wants all his plotting with Peter to disappear into thin air like it never happened.
Only Peter and his boss are not playing ball. They have insisted the plan will go ahead, whether Will wants it to or not.
There was then a struggle at Home Farm on Christmas Day after we saw a flashforward with creepy music and the Christmas tree on its side.
Tonight the action will unfold even further as we get to the bottom of what has gone on at Home Farm. Is Kim okay? Has Will met his maker? Or will it be Billy or Dawn caught in the crossfire?
