In Emmerdale, Will Taylor met an untimely end this week after suffering a heart attack. But fans believe Joe Tate was actually responsible for Will’s death.
Joe returned to the Dales on Christmas Day after six years away and picked up where he left off by creating drama.
After revealing to Kim Tate that her husband Will had been plotting to bring her down, Will collapsed to the floor clutching his chest. But fans think there was more to Will’s death and that Joe had a hand in it.

Will Taylor dies
During Emmerdale’s Christmas episode, Kim and Will renewed their wedding vows. Shortly after, their bubble of happiness was burst when Joe Tate made a dramatic entrance.
Joe revealed to Kim that Will had been planning revenge on her. He lied about Will’s involvement, telling Kim that Will had actually orchestrated it all by getting in touch with Kim’s son Jamie. Joe also told Kim that he and her financial advisor Peter had only gone along with the plan as a joke, to see how far Will would take it.
Kim asked to be alone with Will, where he attempted to give his version of events. But Kim wasn’t having any of it. Shortly after, Will collapsed to the floor clutching his chest. Kim ignored his pleas for help, accusing him of faking a heart attack for sympathy.
It was only when Joe returned that Kim started to help her husband. However, it was too late and by the time medics arrived at the scene, Will was pronounced dead.

Fans suspect Joe Tate in Emmerdale
After watching Will’s death, fans felt it was too much of a coincidence that Will would die so soon after Joe’s return.
Taking to X, one fan said: “Makes you wonder if Joe slipped some pills into Will’s drink.” A second fan agreed, writing: “ I think Joe put something in the wine, that caused will to get a heart attack.”
Over on Instagram, fans were in agreement, with one asking: “Who killed Will? Joe Tate?” Another fan added: “There is a twist somewhere.”
A fifth fan said: “I’m sure Joe is behind Will’s passing because the pills he is taking.”

Emmerdale aired tragic scenes this week when Will Taylor died after suffering a heart attack, but fans don’t believe he is really dead.
Will has been working with financial advisor Peter on a plot to bring Kim Tate down. However, recent scenes saw Will have second thoughts about the plan as he realised he was still in love with Kim.
After Kim discovered the truth, Will pleaded with her – a scene that ended with him clutching his chest. But is there more to it? Fans think so.

Will has a heart attack in Emmerdale
Recent weeks have seen Will hell-bent on making Kim’s life a misery as he teamed up with her financial advisor Peter to get revenge on Kim. Unbeknown to Will, Peter was also working with Joe Tate.
Although Will had changed his mind about the revenge plot, he couldn’t get out of it that easily and Joe revealed all to Kim.
However, Joe lied to Kim, telling her that Will had directly approached her son Jamie Tate for help with getting revenge. Joe also made out that he and Peter were only ever messing with Will, to see how far he’d go. Joe insisted that he was telling Kim the truth now because he had realised how important family was.
Kim asked for some time alone with her husband. Will attempted to give his version of events before suddenly collapsing holding his chest.
Kim watched on suspiciously, believing that he was faking it for sympathy. It was only when Joe returned that Kim sprung into action and attempted to help Will. But it was too late and when emergency services arrived, they pronounced him dead.

Will Taylor fan theory
Despite the moment that medics pronounced Will dead being shown on screen, fans have predicted that he is still alive and is faking his own death.
“I’d wondered if Kim and Will are faking his death to take down Joe. Seems far fetched… however crazier things have happened,” one fan wrote on X. While another agreed, adding: “Will Taylor not dead and he faking his death again.”
A third viewer went into more detail, writing: “Mmm 2 questions, why didn’t the paramedics use the defibrillator and I thought paramedics weren’t allowed to stop until told to do so by a doctor. I might be wrong but then they might not be paramedics, Will might not be dead & the whole thing is a plot to blackmail Kim?”
A fourth fan added: “Interesting that Kim didn’t put much of an effort with the chest compressions, no mouth to mouth nor did we see the ambulance crew shock Will. Billy didn’t look too surprised either. There could be a twist to this storyline?”
Another fan wrote: “Said all along Will won’t be dead. Him , Joe and Jamie in a plot together to bring Kim down. Joe didn’t phone ambulance, paramedics were less than useless, nor did they declare death properly. Very fishy !” while a sixth viewer said: “Don’t think he dead. All part of joe’s plan with Peter.”

April Windsor disappeared from her home on Christmas Day in Emmerdale and a new fan theory has suggested Anthony Fox could be responsible.
It has been a difficult time for April of late, after discovering the truth about how her mother Donna Windsor died. Her behaviour has worsened and she has been bunking off school and drinking alcohol.
Her dad Marlon has struggled to cope and prior to his daughter going missing, he snapped at her, telling her he wished she’d just fade into the background.
So has April simply run away, or is there something more sinister going on?

April goes missing
On Christmas Day morning, Marlon Dingle went to wake his young daughter only to discover that she wasn’t there. April was later seen waiting for a mystery person before climbing into the back of a car.
It’s been a difficult few weeks for the teenager. At the start of the month, she was kidnapped by Ross Barton‘s enemy Jade. After rescuing April, Ross then told her the devastating truth about Donna’s death.
April’s dad Marlon was furious at Ross for sharing this information, and in return April was furious with Marlon for keeping it from her.
Emmerdale has confirmed that the story will run weeks, with show producer Laura Shaw saying: “In the coming weeks, as the search for April intensifies, we explore the emotional turmoil a family faces when a young person goes missing. We are so grateful to the charity Missing People for their invaluable help and support with this storyline.”
But is April missing out of choice or has someone taken her?
Does Anthony have something to do with April’s disappearance? (Credit: ITV)
With this in mind, a new theory has predicted that Anthony is to blame for teen April’s disappearance.
“Ruby’s dad the creepiest person, was that his car picking up April?” asked one viewer on X. “Anthony has got April! #Emmerdale,” another fan agreed.Â
Over on Facebook, a third fan said: “I’m wondering if April accepted a lift from a stranger or did she know the person, I thought it looked like Ruby’s dad from behind.”
A fourth fan agreed, writing: “Yeah it deffo looked like Ruby dad…”, while a fifth said: “Oh I do hope it wasn’t Ruby’s dad for obvious reasons.”
“Why do I have a feeling Ruby’s dad is involved in April disappearance”, said another viewer.

As the anniversary of Heath Hope’s death in Emmerdale approaches, Bob pays tribute to his son. We take a look back at how the teenager met his tragic end.
Bob has been busy planning a memorial concert in Heath’s memory, but in tonight’s episode of Emmerdale, he reaches boiling point when Brenda and Wendy’s bickering threatens to overshadow the event.
With the village coming together to honour Heath and his love for music, we take a look back at his time in the village and his untimely death.

Who was Heath Hope?
The character of Heath Hope has been in Emmerdale since his birth in 2007, and has been played by Sebastian Dowling for the majority of that time.
Heath is the twin brother of Cathy, and the son of Bob and Viv Hope. Viv was sentenced to jail time when the twins were just one years old, and she died when they were only four. For this reason, Brenda Walker acted as a mother figure to the children.
Heath was close to his stepmother and even walked her down the aisle on her wedding day. When Bob moved out after having an affair, the twins stayed living with Brenda and even set fire to Bob’s things in an act of solidarity.
Cathy and Heath eventually mended their relationship with their dad and Bob was devastated when his young son died.

How did Heath Hope die?
During a New Year’s Eve party at the B&B last year, Heath, Cathy and their friend Angelica King stole Wendy Posner’s car so they could attend a party in nearby Hotten.
April told Bob and Wendy where the trio had gone, informing them that she had tried to stop them.
After the party ground to a halt, Heath told Cathy to drive faster on the narrow back roads. As Bob and Wendy drove to Hotten to track down the teens, they came across the car on the side of the road.
Cathy and Angelica were shellshocked, while Heath was motionless in the car. An ambulance was called, but Heath was sadly pronounced dead shortly after midnight, on New Year’s Day.
Brenda was devastated to hear the news, while Bob initially blamed his daughter, insisting he couldn’t even look at her.
However, it was later revealed that Angelica had been the one driving the car, after her and Cathy swapped seats. Angelica was sentenced to eight months in a secure children’s home, though she is already back in the village.

Bob’s tribute to Heath
With it being almost a year since Heath died, Bob is determined to keep his son’s memory alive.
Last week, Bob announced that due to Heath’s love of music he had decided to organise a carol concert in Heath’s memory.
Bob invited the whole village to attend the memorial concert. But it all gets too much for him when the event is overshadowed by Brenda and Wendy bickering.

There have been 37 births in Emmerdale since the show started in 1972. The most recent was Evan Fletcher and that was one year ago.
In fact there have been no births in Emmerdale at all in 2024. But will 2025 bring the pitter patter of tiny feet for anyone in the Dales?
Let’s take a look at all the births in Emmerdale on screen and also what happened to the babies.

1 & 2. Sam and Sally Skilbeck
Samuel William ‘Sam’ Skilbeck was the first baby to be born on Emmerdale. He arrived on April 10 1973, alongside his twin sister, Sally. Their parents were Peggy and Matt Skilbeck and his maternal grandmother was the legendary Annie Sugden. Their young life was blighted by tragedy. Peggy died of a brain hemorrhage when her twins were just three months old, and the twins own lives were cut short when they were killed on a level crossing, aged three.
3. Matthew Oswell
Four years after the first births in Emmerdale, came the arrival of baby Matthew Oswell. He made his entrance into the world on August 15 1977. During that time, Matthew’s parents Sarah and Ray Owell were lodging at Emmerdale Farm after their cottage had been destroyed in a storm. Sarah went into labour while at the farm, but made it to hospital in time to deliver Matthew.
4. Samuel Skilbeck
Samuel Benjamin ‘Sam’ Skilbeck was born on December 23 1982 to Matt Skilbeck and his second wife Dolly. He was named after Sam Pearson, the grandfather of Matt’s first wife, Peggy, and in honour of his late half-brother, Samuel who had died five years earlier. 9. James Tate
The year after Joseph’s birth saw the very dramatic arrival of another Tate – his uncle, James Francis ‘Jamie’ Tate. James’s mum, Kim Tate had experienced a difficult pregnancy, mainly down to not knowing whether her husband Frank Tate or lover Dave Glover was her baby’s father. James was delivered via an emergency cesarean section at 9.35pm on September 24 1996, weighing at 8lb 4oz. Having been deprived of oxygen at birth, James was placed on a ventilator and his father Frank Tate, arranged for him to be christened. Daz is Amelia’s biological dad and she – along with daughter Esther – will leave Yorkshire for a new life with Daz in Leicester.
So we thought the time was right for a quick reminder about who Daz was, what he got up to during his years on Emmerdale and where he’s been.
Here’s the lowdown on everything you need to know about Daz Spencer.
Daz went through a lot (Credit: ITV/Shutterstock)
Who is Daz Spencer?
Daz is the biological father of Amelia, and brother to Dan Spencer – who thought he was Amelia’s dad, and who brought her up.
After a quick stint in the village in 2014, Daz moved on and then returned for two years in 2017.
Daz’s history included time in the army. He held the rank of Staff Sergeant and served in Afghanistan.
When he arrived in Emmerdale, he claimed he was working as a private security consultant after 18 years of service, and told brother Dan he’d left the army of his own accord.
But that wasn’t exactly true…

Daz arrives in Emmerdale
Dan wasn’t overjoyed to see his brother but he agreed to let him stay, mostly because son Sean talked him into it. But it wasn’t long before Dan was regretting his decision, when Daz kicked off his stay by arranging a robbery at David’s shop.
Dan saw everything and not surprisingly, he fell out with his brother. After some digging, it came out that Daz had actually been kicked out of the army rather than leaving of his own accord. Fed up with all the lies, Dan kicked him out.
Daz returns to the Dales
A couple of years after his initial 2014 arrival, Daz made it back to the village. He wasn’t quite done with his drama yet…
In 2017, Daz was homeless and roaming the streets. Kerry spotted him begging and trying to con money in Hotten. She tracked him down to a ‘Haircuts for the Homeless’ event, but he bolted as soon as he saw Kerry.
Kerry is nothing if not tenacious, mind you, and didn’t give up. She brought the brothers together, which ended up in a scuffle, and Daz left. But Kerry took pity on him and let him have a shower in her and Dan’s house before he went.
Dan lost his temper and Kerry snapped. Fed up with how badly he was treating his brother, she tricked Dan into going to the pub with his friends, stole his keys and locked him out of the house, in order to teach him a lesson about what Daz had been through.
Amelia and Kerry pleaded with Dan and eventually he relented and allowed Daz to stay in his camper van. Daz got a job at the cafe and settled into village life.

Emmerdale: Daz and Dan make up
With relations still prickly between Dan and Daz, tensions came to a head when Dan discovered Daz was carrying a knife.
Amelia had begged him to get rid, but he said it was a memento of his army days that he’d held onto it out of sentimentality.
Eventually, it was revealed that Dan had been involved in an incident whilst homeless, where he had been beaten up and urinated on by a group of thugs while he was sleeping. Daz ended up in hospital with a fractured skull and broken ribs. He couldn’t even eat food for a week. Not surprisingly, Daz had developed PTSD.
When Dan heard all this, he softened towards his brother and told him he, Kerry and Amelia would be there for him.

Another hiccup for the Spencers
Daz is actually the biological father of Amelia, despite Dan raising her.
Dan always believed that he was Amelia’s father. But, Daz did a paternity test in 2018 after Amelia’s mum, Ali, died.
The test revealed that Daz was actually Amelia’s biological dad (which came as a bit of a shock to everyone).
Not surprisingly, Amelia struggled with this news at first. With her head all over the place, she ended up going missing. She was found living with a rather creepy girl called Beth who she’d met in an online chatroom.
Daz left the village in 2019 after drunkenly running down Graham Foster. At first Amelia took the blame for the hit and run, wanting to protect her dad.

Fans have slammed Emmerdale for Billy and Dawn’s storyline taking a different route, and many seem sick of their relationship.
Billy and Dawn used to be a very popular Emmerdale couple. But it seems recently the storylines haven’t managed to keep viewers interested in them.
When they had their baby boy, Evan, things took a sharp turn for the couple. Evan was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukeamia at just four months old.
This meant life for Billy, Dawn and their family had to change. Dawn decided to stay at home so that someone was always there to watch their baby. But this ultimately led to money problems for the Fletchers.
What could have been a storyline focused on a family trying to keep their son healthy as a unit, has turned into more lies, illegal activities and just a whole lot of arguing. So it’s no wonder viewers are getting bored of it.

Viewers slam Emmerdale Billy and Dawn
In recent months Billy lied to Dawn and took part in an illegal fight club – which brought back Ross Barton (Yay!). But even after she found out and gave him a way to earn their family more money, he couldn’t let his ego go.
This ultimately led to him and Dawn having yet another big bust up. But the pair always seem to forgive each other in the end.
In last night’s episode (December 16) Kim Tate told Dawn that she, Billy and the kids could all move back into Home Farm. This would definitely help sort out some of their worries. But Billy of course decided it’s not something he wants to do, claiming the big house is cursed.
This didn’t sit well with viewers, as they argue that if they had no other option then surely Billy would do what’s best for his family?
Taking to a Reddit thread, one viewer wrote: “Billy and Dawn are so painfully boring.”
Another agreed, adding: “This storyline has not been about Evan’s illness at all.”
A third momentarily praised the couple: “Billy and Dawn have completed a sentence without slinging [expletive] at one another.”
But a few moments later updated their comment: “Edit – Here comes the argument.”

Fans question why they are still together
More viewers on X (formerly known as Twitter) backed up the Reddit thread, agreeing that the current storyline involving the couple is quite dull.
One wrote: “Is Billy staying with Dawn purely because of Evan? I can’t see another reason for them to be together.”
Another commented: “Billy and Dawn are truly a miserable couple.”
If the pair move back into Home Farm before Christmas then they will be there to witness it take centre stage on the Christmas Day episode. The countdown is well and truly on for viewers to finally find out who Peter’s mystery man is.

The mysterious Aidan Moore has popped up in Emmerdale again, raising more questions about what exactly John Sugden is hiding.
Since his arrival in the summer, there has been somewhat of a question mark over John’s head. One question has been about why he has a dog tag with the name Aidan Moore engraved on it.
That same dog tag made a reappearance in Monday’s episode (December 16) while John was enjoying a winter camping trip with boyfriend Aaron Dingle.
Is there more to Aidan’s story than John previously shared?

John Sugden arrives in Emmerdale
The new mystery Sugden arrived in the Dales back in August. Unaware of his identity, Aaron had arranged to meet John via a dating app. Aaron and John ended up hooking up in the van on the side of the road.
Later, it was revealed that John was a secret Sugden and was the half-brother of Aaron’s ex-husband Robert. But after a dog tag with the name Aidan Moore was shown in his belongings, viewers wondered whether John was lying about his identity.
John has continued to arouse suspicion with viewers with his random behaviour. Recently, he called the police on Ross and Billy’s underground fight and then warned those involved that the police were coming.

Fan theories on Aidan Moore
The name Aidan Moore first popped up in Emmerdale in August, when Victoria returned a box of John’s belongings. The box had been misplaced and she’d found it in Harry’s room.
When John opened the box, there was a dog tag inside inscribed with the name “Aidan Moore.”
Others suggested that Aidan Moore could be John’s stepdad, who was there for John when real father Jack wasn’t. Another theory is that Aidan is his ex-boyfriend, while some fans believe that John IS Aidan Moore. Some fans have even suggested that John – or Aidan – was in prison with Robert Sugden, and now he’s using his knowledge to worm his way into the Sugden family and potentially con them.
The most impressive theory came from an Emmerdale fan on Reddit who delved into the archives and discovered a character called Karen Moore from the 1980s. She had a fling with Jack AND Jack’s brother Joe and moved away in 1986. Could she be a link to Aidan Moore?

What has John said about Aidan?
In September, John caught his half-sister Victoria looking through his van. She later demanded that John tell her who Aidan Moore is.
John revealed that Aidan had been his best mate in the army, but he had died while they were serving together in Afghanistan. He revealed that the tragedy happened just before the troops were due to be withdrawn from the country.
John got emotional as he revealed that he had tried his best to save him. “I told him I could, but I was lying, I had to,” he remembered. “I could see the fear in his eyes, I held his hand as he slowly slipped away.”
During Monday’s episode (16 December), John took boyfriend Aaron camping. Aaron was reluctant, but John insisted that ‘being in nature is healing.’
He also told Aaron: “You are just like everyone else, happy in your little box, night after night… four walls and a roof – that is a prison to me. Open air, that is my home.â€
Aaron was persuaded and the two found themselves in the forest. Aaron opened up to John, revealing that the only time he has ever been camping before was with Gordon – his father and the man who abused him.
Following Aaron’s revelation, John secretly pulled the infamous dog tag chain from his pocket. He looked deep in thought as his fingers rubbed over the name Aidan Moore. But, is John still keeping secrets about who Aidan Moore really was?

What happened to Ruby in Emmerdale?
Since arriving in the village at the start of the year, Ruby quickly established herself as a popular character. But it’s only recently that her background has been explored.
In devastating flashback scenes that aired last week, it was revealed that Ruby had been sexually abused by her father Anthony when she was younger.
The flashback scenes depicted Ruby’s 16th birthday party. After everyone had left, Anthony took Ruby some cake in her room. In scenes that followed later, after he locked the door, Ruby looked visibly scared as she begged “Please not again. Not today.”
The special episode also hinted that Caleb Miligan may not be Steph’s father. With so much more to explore in this storyline, fans will be pleased that Beth is staying put.
