Ruby is shocked when estranged daughter Steph arrives in the village. Hoping to settle her differences with their daughter, she sends Caleb away while she talks to Steph.

However, things soon go awry as Steph berates her mother for the terrible childhood she feels she’d been given. As their conversation gets heated, Ruby lashes out, slapping Steph.

Ruby tries to apologise, but Steph storms off, claiming that her mother has never cared about her.

The next day, Caleb and Ruby are shocked when they see Steph leaving the B&B with Ross. Caleb questions her about Ross. Desperate to keep her in his life, he asks her to be his partner at the depot.

Later, a reluctant Steph agrees to join Ruby for a coffee. Just as Ruby thinks she’s making up ground with her daughter, things fall apart when her father Anthony arrives.

  • Fans fear for Pollard’s life as his health takes a turn amidst Christmas death rumours

Fans fear for Pollard’s life as his health takes a turn amidst Christmas death rumours

Fans of Emmerdale have been left in fear for the life of Eric Pollard after his health appeared to be in sharp decline. This came during last night’s episode (Monday, November 11), as Pollard clashed with Caleb over lorries running riot through the village.

Taking umbrage at Caleb’s dismissive tone, Pollard took actions into his own hands. He jumped into one of the lorries and subsequently backed it into a pile of crates. Pollard put on a brave face, but he knew it had been a result of his Parkinson’s symptoms.

Caleb then popped around to see him later, threatening to call the police if he didn’t stop kicking up a fuss over his lorries.

Emmerdale fans worry over Pollard amid Parkinson’s flare-up

Fans took to social media as these scenes aired to share their concerns about Pollard. And some took his visible Parkinson’s symptoms as a bad omen.

“Don’t like Eric getting bad when it’s nearly Christmas. Don’t want a Christmas death,” fretted one fan.

“Eric is gonna die next year,” said another.

“Eric struggling with his Parkinson’s,” pointed out a third.

Have fans been given cause for worry?

    Emmerdale death teased this Christmas

The fears for Pollard come as Metro.co.uk reports a death is imminent in the Dales. They shared pictures from a fan who did the Emmerdale tour and a freshly dug grave could be seen.

The fan reportedly wrote alongside the snaps: “Did the Emmerdale tour on Saturday and we got to meet the gorgeous Billy (Jay Kontzle). We flew in from Dublin first flight in last flight out it was great. Also, there was a fresh GRAVE!!! See pics.

“I told Billy it better not be his grave and he said no but I am in that storyline! – any guesses?????”

So far rumours suggest it could be Leyla who dies when Roxy Shahidi leaves the soap after 16 years. But could it be Eric? Or even Brenda?

Brenda is set to leave the soap in an upcoming storyline (Credit: ITV)

Pollard’s health worsens as Brenda exits the dales

Eric’s worsening health comes as the soap announced that actress Lesley Dunlop is set to leave the soap.

A source told The Mirror: “The show has grown a lot bigger in recent years but soaps are expensive to make. It’s inevitable saving money means losing people – but it’s a huge shame all the same for those involved, their friends and colleagues.”

How exactly Brenda will leave remains to be seen, but it may well play into Eric’s ongoing Parkinson’s story.

  • ‘Do the writers hate Vinny?’ ask fans as he learns the truth about Tina

‘Do the writers hate Vinny?’ ask fans as he learns the truth about Tina

Fans of Emmerdale have wondered whether the soap writers have a vendetta against poor Vinny. This follows last night’s episode of the soap (Monday, November 11), in which he finally learned the truth about Tina’s identity – namely, that she is his own estranged mother.

As Vinny learned how she had betrayed the Dingles, he disowned his mum (Mandy, that is), telling her that she was no-one to him, and stormed off.

This leaves Vinny adrift from the woman who raised him, and with the so-far repellent Tina Dingle continuing to send his life spinning into chaos. All of which begs the question… do the writers hate Vinny Dingle?

‘Poor Vinny’ say Emmerdale viewers as he learns the truth

As the episode aired, viewers shared their thoughts on Vinny‘s bombshell. And many found themselves sympathising with the youngster amid this latest development.

“I love Vinny!! Why can’t the writers let him have a happy storyline for once,” said one angry fan on the social media site X.

“The writers must hate Vinny. Abusive dad. A mum who sold him. Kill his wife. And the only girl he can now get is a very desperate Gobby Gabby,” said another.

“They’ll never give Vinny even a moderately happy storyline. Because the writers are [censored],” wrote a third.

“Why can’t Vinny have a good storyline for a good while?” asked one fan.

“Tina is disgusting poor Vinny,” another viewer said.

The sad life of Vinny Dingle

This is just the latest unhappy development in the miserable life of Vinny – spurned by his own mother (who blamed post natal depression) and who found himself on the receiving end of his absentee father’s abuse when he did return into his life, years later.

And then there’s the whole dead wife thing – crushed to death by a caravan in 2022.

    Poor Vinny indeed.

  • Jimmy will catch Tom hurting Amelia, fan theory predicts

Jimmy will catch Tom hurting Amelia, fan theory predicts

A new Emmerdale fan theory has predicted that Jimmy will see the light about Tom King’s awful behaviour – when he witnesses him hurting Amelia.

This comes after Tom briefly showed his true colours to Amelia earlier in the week, snapping at her as his frustration with the Dingles grew. Tom may have faked a beating (thanks to his eager-to-please solicitor), but the Dingles’ victimisation is very real.

    Emmerdale: Tom’s treatment of Amelia

As they unveiled a ‘Guy’ for the bonfire that was dressed just like him, Tom saw red. He snapped at the Dingles and then, as Amelia tried to calm him down, he exploded at her too.

Amelia was shocked by Tom’s behaviour and, for a while, it looked as though the penny had finally dropped. However, last night (Wednesday, October 7), she let Jimmy talk her back on side – and accepted Tom’s apology.

With Amelia and Jimmy still firmly in his corner, Tom is doing a sterling job of keeping his supporters on track. But how will Jimmy find out when the truth does come out?

Emmerdale fans predict that Jimmy will witness Tom hurting Amelia

As the episode aired, fans took to social media to share their thoughts. And one viewer wondered whether Jimmy might get to see Tom’s abusive tendencies firsthand.

“I’m beginning to think that Jimmy will catch Tom beating her up, and that’s how it ends,” suggested one fan.

However, when Tom is finally caught out, one thing’s for sure – Amelia and Jimmy are going to regret their naivety where he’s concerned.

“If something does happen to Amelia I hope Jimmy realises that it’s his enabling that led to it because he practically guilt tripped that girl into getting back with Tom,” said one fan.

“Even now Jimmy isn’t convinced about Tom. C’mon Jimmy open your eyes,” begged another.

“Beginning to think Belle had a real premonition of Tom killing Amelia,” another viewer suggested.

  • Daisy Campbell lands new role after being axed from Emmerdale

Daisy Campbell lands new role after being axed from Emmerdale

Emmerdale star Daisy Campbell has landed a new role outside of the soap. This follows recent news that Daisy will be leaving the soap after thirteen years of playing Amelia Spencer.

According to The Mirror, producers told a shocked Daisy that they would be writing Amelia out of the soap during a meeting earlier this year.

While the soap hasn’t revealed details of Amelia’s exit, Daisy has wasted little time in putting herself out there – appearing on the Big Brother spin-off Late & Live last night (Monday, October 4).

Emmerdale star Daisy Campbell makes appearance in new role

Daisy showed up on the Big Brother spin-off as a panelist alongside YouTuber Zeze Millz and ex-housemate Henry Southan.

“All the way from Emmerdale Farm and ready to dish the dirt, it’s Daisy Campbell!” host Will Best exclaimed as he introduced Daisy to the studio audience.

Together with co-host AJ Odudu, Will and the group went on to discuss the latest happenings from inside the Big Brother house. And Daisy seemed to be in fine spirits indeed – a world away from Emmerdale and Tom’s manipulation.

When will Daisy Campbell leave Emmerdale?

In an interview with The Mirror, Daisy explained why she was leaving the soap.

“It wasn’t my choice to leave Emmerdale and it was a shock at first. Being in Emmerdale is all I have ever known. I’ve spent the whole of my childhood growing up in the soap and it felt daunting,” she said.

“Once they explained, I totally got it. Amelia isn’t part of the Dingles, her dad has left, Samson has gone now and she doesn’t have any family. There is nowhere to take Amelia and I understand that. I feel incredibly lucky to have been in the soap for 13 years and to have been handed so many opportunities at such a young age.”

Daisy’s final scenes on the soap will air this Christmas.

  • Nicola and Bob affair predicted by fans – and Tom will use it to his advantage

Nicola and Bob affair predicted by fans – and Tom will use it to his advantage

Emmerdale fans have predicted that an affair between Nicola and Bob is on the cards – and that scheming Tom could use it to his sinister advantage.

Last night’s episode of the soap (Monday, November 4), saw Nicola share a tender moment with Bob. This came after her daughter Angel’s return to the village. Bob set aside his heartbreak to tell Nicola that Angel was struggling since her return from the STC – and planned not to go back to school either.

As Nicola broke down, the pair shared a comforting hug. However, the moment had some fans wondering whether Nicola and Bob might be headed for an affair.

And even if not, one fan theory predicted that manipulative Tom could use Bob to drive a wedge between Nicola and Jimmy.

Emmerdale fans predict Tom will use Nicola and Bob ‘affair’ to his own advantage

Writing on X as the scene aired, fans shared their thoughts on where Bob and Nicola‘s tender moment might be headed.

“Nicola, be careful hugging Bob in public. Tom will lay it on thick with Jimmy and convince him (though it won’t take much) that she’s having a fling,” suggested one worried viewer.

“Hear me out… Nicola and Bob affair incoming?” asked a second.

“Please put Bob and Nicola together even if it’s just to sicken Jimmy,” joked another.

However, others saw the scene for what it was – a warmer moment shared between two struggling parents. After all, Bob has recently lost son Heath due to Angelica’s actions.

“Well it’s good to see Nicola Wheeler get some material to dig into. That scene with Nicola and Bob was fantastic…” another fan said.

Fans warn soap not to put Bob and Nicola together

Earlier this year, fans warned writers of the soap not to go ahead with a Bob and Nicola affair. This came in August, as Nicola sought comfort in Bob’s words after learning that Angel wasn’t doing too well at the detention centre.

As Bob gave Nicola a shoulder to cry on (very good of him, given what Angel had actually done), viewers sensed there could be more to it and begged the soap not to go there.
