In Emmerdale spoilers, Tom King threatens Paddy as he struggles with the ongoing pressure of the investigation into his abuse of Belle and his growing unpopularity in the village.
In the wake of Belle revealing that he’d abused her, Tom’s life and career quickly fell apart. Not only are the Dingles out for blood, but Nicola has also seen the light. Convinced that Belle is telling the truth, she’ll stop at nothing to expose him… even risking her marriage to husband Jimmy.
Meanwhile, with Rhona and Vanessa believing Belle’s side of the story, they suspended Tom with plans to fire him. Fuming, Tom threatened to sue for unfair dismissal. His threats had Rhona shaken, but she remained set on getting rid.

In Emmerdale tonight, Tom continued to pull the wool over his uncle Jimmy‘s eyes. This time, he received sympathy from Jimmy after claiming to be attacked.
Elsewhere, Ella drunk away the afternoon and confided in Chas about her heartbreak. Unbeknown to her, Chas is the cause of that heartbreak.

Emmerdale tonight: Tom claimed he’d been attacked
After Nicola spent the night at Laurel’s and refused to take Jimmy’s calls in Emmerdale tonight, Jimmy got snappy with Tom.
Tom told Jimmy he was constantly getting hateful messages online. Jimmy responded that he didn’t have time to mollycoddle Tom and instructed him to leave the house for a while. Later, Laurel came across Tom crouching on the floor by the church with blood over him.
Jimmy, as dopey as ever, apologised to Tom for making him leave the house. Tom claimed he hadn’t seen his attacker, but both he and Jimmy decided Sam Dingle were the guilty party. Tom continued to manipulate Jimmy and told him he didn’t want to go to the police as he didn’t want to cause any more trouble for Belle.
“I’m better off just keeping my head down, coping on my own,” Tom told his uncle, while we screamed into a pillow. Jimmy responded: “I’ll always have your back.” Â Can someone bang his head against a wall, please?
In the village, Jimmy accused Sam of being the one to smash up Tom’s car and of attacking Tom.
The often thick Sam had us all saying “Yes, Sam!” when he told Jimmy: “And you think you’re the clever one? Protecting that idiot? He’s pulled the wool over your eyes, big time. We can all see it. Even your wife can see it.â€
The truth came out at the end of the episode when Tom got into the car belonging to his solicitor friend Ollie. And if there was any doubt, it was revealed that Tom had arranged the attack himself. Ollie had been the one to hit Tom as Tom didn’t think the online messages were enough to garner sympathy.
Tom then threatened Ollie, telling him he would divulge the information he knew about him if he didn’t continue to do as Tom asked. Tom informed him they needed a back up plan to ensure he didn’t go to prison – legal or not.Â
Liam and Chas spoke about Elle (Credit: ITV)
Liam and Chas made a decision
After being dumped by Liam, Ella spent some time in the Woolpack knocking back drinks. She opened up to Chas and told her: “It feels as though he’s plunged his hand into my chest, ripped my heart out, and stamped on it till it’s flat.”
“He obviously didn’t love me as much as I loved him,” she went on. Chas couldn’t have looked more guilty if she tried, but Ella didn’t catch on. Boy, is she in for a shock.
Later, Chas told Liam about her interaction with Ella, telling him how upset Ella had been. They agreed to keep their relationship a secret and to not rub Ella’s nose in it. Liam then went on to say that after a bit of time he’d be shouting about their relationship from the rooftops – because that wouldn’t be rubbing Ella’s nose in it at all.
Ross continued to step on toes (Credit: ITV)

Ross made a move on Charity
Ross didn’t take too kindly to Mack describing Moses as ‘our son,’ telling him, “I think you meant to say ‘your son’.” The cheek – he hasn’t been around for six years!
Later, Charity spied on Ross as he told Billy that the boxing rematch was off. Charity told Ross that she was impressed by him for being sensible. Ross took Charity’s praise the wrong way and during a cosy chat in the pub, Ross leaned in for a kiss. Charity immediately pushed him away and insisted she loved Mack.
Ross quipped, “Yeah I met him, not my favourite person.” He wasn’t put off though and told Charity: “I know that you want me.” It’s a tough life for Charity, having both Mack and Ross at her beck and call…
Angelica struggled to settle in
Cathy went to visit Angelica, who admitted that she was struggling with being back in the village. Angel also said she didn’t ever want to go back to school for fear of bullying.
When Bob spoke to Nicola later on, Nicola was visibly upset that Angelica felt she didn’t belong in the village. Will she be able to help her daughter feel better?

Darren ‘Daz’ Eden arrived in Emmerdale in 2003 looking for his half brother, Andy Sugden. He was initially a troublemaker, but managed to reform.
He had a strained relationship with his brother, particularly when it came to Andy’s relationships with Katie and Jo. Daz had his own romantic connections, most notably with Victoria, who many saw as Daz’s sibling.
Here is Daz’s story.
He loved to cause chaos (Credit: ITV/ Shutterstock)
Daz the troublemaker
Daz arrived in the Dales in October 2003 searching for his half brother, Andy Sugden. The two shared the same dad – Billy Hopwood.
He was initially a tearaway and immediately took to stealing cars. Daz drove away in Robert’s car, crashing into hay bales in the process. He later stole some more cars, including Jack’s.
When he was punished by being sentenced to community service, he was hoping to do this at Scott’s garage, but Scott refused, meaning Daz would have to go to a young offenders institute. Daz got his revenge by setting fire to the garage.
Relationship with his brother
When Daz came to the village, Andy was in a relationship with Katie. Katie was having an affair with Andy’s brother Robert, which was discovered by Daz.
Katie threatened Daz and told him that Andy wouldn’t believe him. This turned out to be the case and Katie persuaded Andy to put Daz into care. But when the truth finally came out, Andy visited Daz and persuaded him to come back to the farm.
However, after finally feeling secure and loved by his brother, Andy surprised Daz by getting back with Katie. Daz told Andy he had to choose between him and Katie – Andy chose Katie. Daz then moved in with Jack.
They faced further trouble later on when Daz discovered Andy had been hitting girlfriend Jo. Daz punched Andy but immediately regretted it as he didn’t want to be like Andy or his dad.
Daz’s mum and dad
Daz’s mum Denise did not appear in many Emmerdale episodes, but when she did, she managed to convince her son she was a changed woman. Daz briefly left the Dales to go live with her, but returned a couple of months later.
Denise returned and insisted Daz make amends with her boyfriend, but he refused. When Diane and Jack decided to start adoption proceedings for Daz, Denise was happy to allow it.
However, Daz’s dad Billy – who was in prison – was not as keen. He felt the Sugdens had already stolen one of his sons.
Upon his release from prison, Billy arrived in the Dales. He got a job and tried to make amends with his sons. Andy told him that Jack was his dad, but Billy did manage to bond with Daz. The relationship was later damaged though when Billy had an affair with Diane.
Daz had a brief fling with Victoria (Credit: ITV/ Shutterstock)
Romantic connection with Victoria and Emmerdale exit
After having a crush on Jasmine Thomas, Daz dated Penny Drury. He then met Scarlett Nicholls, the daughter of Tom King, in 2007. Scarlett took a liking to him immediately and they eventually got together.
However, while he was with Scarlett, he formed a deep connection with Victoria Sugden, who was like a sister to him. The two kissed on Christmas Day in 2008 and then slept together a few months later. Victoria thought this meant they could be a couple, but Daz said it was a mistake and he wanted to stay with Scarlett.
To get revenge, Victoria slept with Aaron at Daz’s house and they were caught by Scarlett and Daz. Daz was angry and went for Aaron before Victoria blurted out that it was Daz’s fault as he didn’t want her any more. Realising they had more than a brother/sister relationship, Aaron and Scarlett were disgusted.
Aaron immediately told Andy, who was equally disgusted. He told Daz to leave and never return. Daz did just that. On his way out of the village, he stopped by the farm to see if he could get a last glimpse of Victoria, but he quickly left as he didn’t want to risk Andy seeing him.
Who played Daz Eden?
Daz was played by Luke Tittensor. Luke has a twin brother, Elliott, who is also an actor. The twins shared the role of Carl Gallagher in Shameless before Elliott took on the role on his own.
Luke then landed the role of Daz in Emmerdale. After leaving Emmerdale, Luke played Connor in Waterloo Road. He has also appeared in Casualty, Holby City and Moving On.
More recently, he secured the role of Ser Arryk Cargyll in House of the Dragon, alongside his twin brother, who plays Ser Erryk Cargyll.

The family of Caleb and Ruby Fox-Miligan is set to get much bigger when two new members arrive in Emmerdale. The soap has teased that Caleb and Ruby share an estranged daughter together. The mysterious Steph is the name on everyone’s lips – with fan speculation rife about who she is and where she could be.
And, as Ruby learned that her (also estranged) mother had died, the soap teased that she had a dad too. One who, it was implied, didn’t approve of her relationship with Caleb. All these stories of estranged daughters and disapproving dads left fans wondering what exactly went down.
Wonder no more: Ruby’s daughter and dad will arrive in Emmerdale later on this month! But who are they, and what does their arrival mean for Caleb and Ruby?

Emmerdale introduces new family for Caleb and Ruby
Played by Georgia Jay, notes describe daughter Steph as ‘smart, confident and completely reckless.’ Estranged Steph hasn’t seen either parent in over a decade – and shares all the best and worst parts of their personalities.
How will she react when she comes face-to-face with her mum and dad again?
“I am thrilled to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. The cast and crew have all been so welcoming and I’m very excited to see what lies ahead for Steph, given her intriguing backstory,” said star Georgia.
Grandad Anthony joins Steph in this family reunion. Played by The Crown and Minder star Nicholas Day, Anthony seems charismatic and mellow to onlookers. However, he completes an unwelcome family reunion which will leave Ruby reeling.
“I’ve been made so welcome in the Emmerdale family. And my screen family is great to work with, the scenes just fly. No kidding – I feel blessed,” Nicholas said.

Emmerdale producer teases Miligan family history
Speaking on the new casting, Emmerdale producer Sophie Roper said: “We’re delighted to be welcoming Nicholas and Georgia to Emmerdale as part of the Miligan family.”
She continued: “With so much yet to discover about Ruby, the arrival of her father and daughter will unlock her past and see Ruby and Caleb tested in ways we’ve never seen before. With two actors of such great calibre, they’re certainly set to make their mark on the Dales.”

Ladies of Emmerdale watch out – Ross Barton is back in town, and he’s a single man. This week’s episodes of the soap followed the fallout as the village badboy returned, setting the cat among the pigeons.
As he refamilarised himself with his neighbours, Ross dropped the news that Rebecca had died. Rebecca and Ross originally left the village together with her son Seb, for a new life in Liverpool, back in 2018.

Ross reveals what happened to Rebecca and Seb
However, it seems like their happily ever after wasn’t to last – with the pair first breaking up, and then Rebecca dying during a routine surgery. Last night (Thursday, October 31) Ross revealed that Seb had gone to live with one of Rebecca’s relatives – leaving him as a single man.
This left fans wondering who Ross’s future love interests might be.

Emmerdale fans place their bets on future love for Ross
Writing on a Reddit thread, fans shared their thoughts on who Ross might set his sights on.
“Charity, Tracy or Dawn,” suggested one fan.
Ross has history with both Charity and Dawn of course; with Charity being the mother of his child, and Dawn being a former sex worker who bonded with Ross over their past trauma and addiction issues.
With Ross having clashed with Billy in the ring, the pair are already at loggerheads. Can writers resist pairing him with Dawn?

In Emmerdale tonight (Tuesday, October 29), Ross Barton returned to the village. This came in the wake of his fight with Billy – in which he emerged the loser, having taken a sucker-punch to the face.
Elsewhere, Tom tried to talk his way out of trouble, and Mack squared off against Ross.
The bell rang on Billy’s illegal bare knuckle fight, and his opponent was revealed – Ross Barton, in full pantomime villain role. As a concerned Aaron and Mack looked on, Ross set about beating poor Billy into a fine paste.
Aware that Billy was out of his depth, Aaron tried to convince him to take a dive. Meanwhile, Mack attempted to get young Moses – who Ross had brought along to watch – out of the building. As he did so, Moses cried out, distracting Ross.
This was when Billy got in a lucky punch, knocking his opponent unconscious. Aaron was quick to point out that Billy may have landed himself in even more trouble, given he was supposed to have thrown the fight.
“You just made a very silly mistake,” a sinister Jade warned as she handed over a wad of cash. Back at home, he lied to Dawn, telling her he’d come off the worse in a scrap against Aaron.
A face from the past returned
Back at home, Mack snitched on Ross to Charity, revealing that he’d let Moses watch him fight. Charity answered the door to find Ross on the doorstep, glowering away, and demanding his son back.
Throwing his weight around, Ross mocked Mack over his parenting to Reuben – then delivered a devastating blow to the gut which brought Mack to his knees and shutting his mouth… for now.
In a huff, Mack stormed out on Charity. He confronted Ross again in the pub, where he proved he hadn’t learned his lesson – invoking the name of Ross’s mother, Emma.
The pair continued to bicker out on the street, where Ross followed up his physical beat-down with a verbal one, warning Mack that someone had just ‘thrown a grenade’ into his happy little life. Boom.
Tom had some explaining to do (Credit: ITV)
Tom tried to wriggle out of trouble
Aware that Tom had lost his temper at Carl, Nicola threatened to call the police. In an attempt to worm out of trouble, Tom admitted that he did snap at Carl, but that’s as far as he’d gone… honestly.
While Jimmy was taken in, Nicola wasn’t buying it. Tom admitted the truth about the cameras, but tried to spin the narrative that he’d only been spying on her for her own safety.
Pulling on Jimmy’s heartstrings with a little emotional blackmail, Tom begged for his uncle’s forgiveness. “You’re like a father to me,” doe-eyed Tom claimed, causing dim Jim to recall mistakes he’d made with Angelica.
Tom may have convinced his uncle for now, but Nicola isn’t one to give up easily…
Elsewhere on Emmerdale tonight: the book club is in session
Outside the Woolpack, the three members of the Emmerdale book club – Gail, Mary and Bob – debated the merits of Bob’s latest pick – Jackie Collins’ Hollywood Wives.
As Bob wandered off to dive into his book, Mary asked Gail for a front of house job – which Gail agreed to. It may have been Mary’s first day pulling pints, but she can’t have done much worse than Gail. “Your face… has it always been like that?” Gail tactlessly asked the man with the acid scars.
Against patter like that, Mary looked like an absolute pro in comparison.

The news is out – Ross Barton is back in Emmerdale, and set to make life more difficult for Charity. She is the mother of his child, having conceived son Moses during a one-night stand together.
The pair never made a proper go of it – not a good idea, given he was in love with her daughter Debbie – but they’ll be forever linked by Moses, who they have continued to co-parent from afar.
Last night’s episode of the soap (Monday, October 28) revealed that Ross is back in town, showing up as Billy’s opponent in the underground fight club he’s recently gotten himself involved with.

Emmerdale star Mike Parr teases ‘fireworks’ between Ross and Charity
Speaking on his return to the soap, actor Mike Parr hinted at what’s to come between Ross and Charity.
“You really can’t hate somebody who’s doing a great job of raising your most beloved possession,” he teased in an interview with The Sun.
“But it’s Ross, and it’s Charity. There’s always going to be fireworks.”
Will Charity and Ross rekindle things between them?
Charity and Ross shared a tumultuous fling (Credit: ITV)
The chemistry!
Between them, Charity and Ross make up two of the village’s most fiery personalities. She’s a member of Dingle royalty, and he’s a hot-tempered bit of rough stuff with his fingers in several criminal pies.
Their relationship was never the most romantic – or even nice (remember that time he called her a ‘slapper’ after a roll in the hay?) – but the chemistry between Mike Parr and Charity star Emma Atkins was always off the charts. Of all Ross’ love interests (and there were a lot) he and Charity made the most sense.
Bring back the ‘real’ Charity
Charity has been off her game in recent years (being there for Belle after she split up from Tom King notwithstanding), but Ross doesn’t appeared to have mellowed over the years. Indeed, if his entrance in last night’s episode is anything to go by, his blood runs hotter than ever.
A rekindled romance between Charity and Ross could bring about a resurgence of the Charity Dingle of yore, which is never a bad thing.
Fans have long thought Charity can do better than Mack (Credit: ITV)
Charity deserves better than Mack
Mack somehow managed to survive his affair with Chloe and even his fathering a secret love child. Charity was furious when she found out, but it didn’t last – and she ultimately took Mack back.
With Chloe now gone, Charity seems to have forgiven his fling, and their marriage remains as solid as ever. But is Mack really the best that Charity can do?
We would argue not – Charity Dingle deserves better than lying, cheating, bungling Mack Boyd…
Ross doesn’t have to be endgame for Charity (and some fans are still hoping for a reunion with Vanessa), but if he finally inspires her to get rid of Mack then we won’t be complaining, for one.

Ross Barton returned to Emmerdale last night, striding back onto the scene as Billy’s opponent in an illegal bare-knuckle boxing ring. This marks an explosive return for the bad boy of the Dales, who shares a son with Charity.
Ross’s return to the village is sure to send shockwaves around those who used to know him – not least Charity, who is currently playing happy families with husband Mack Boyd.
However, Charity is just one of the many women in Ross’s chequered past. But what happened between Ross and Charity, and who else succeeded in stealing his heart?
Donna was Ross’s first love (Credit: ITV)
Donna Windsor – the first woman Ross truly loved
Dodgy Ross falling for the village police officer wasn’t a match anyone could have expected, but when he fell for Donna Windsor, he fell hard. However, realising that she had secrets of her own, the pair grew close and soon became lovers.
Keeping the fact that she had lung cancer a secret from Ross, the pair worked together to rob local criminal Gary North. The pair’s relationship ended in tragedy when Donna, while handcuffed to Gary, threw herself off a building. Confessing her love to Ross before she jumped, Donna left Ross heartbroken.

Carly Hope comes to Emmerdale – and falls for Ross
In 2015, Ross began dating Carly Hope, daughter of Bob – and Donna’s step-sister. The pair dated for a while after being set up by his mother, but she dumped him after seeing the violence he inflicted upon an innocent driver while robbing a haulage truck.
Debbie and Ross had an affair while she was seeing his brother (Credit: ITV)
What happened between Ross and Debbie Dingle?
Since arriving in the village, Ross had always had eyes for Debbie Dingle. However, she was in a relationship with his brother, Pete. It was when she got engaged to Pete that their affair began, with the pair even making a plan to run away together shortly before the wedding.
However, their plans were scuppered when dad Cain dropped a doozy of a bombshell…
Charity is the mother of Ross’s son, Moses (Credit: ITV)
Charity Dingle and the birth of Moses
At the same time, Ross had fathered a child after a one-night stand with Charity Dingle. After revealing the truth while on his brother’s stag do (such timing), he originally wanted nothing to do with his son.
However, he eventually softened, and his mother even managed to convince Emma to add his name to Moses’s birth certificate.
Meanwhile, Debbie and Ross continued to return to each other over the years, even making a go of things in spite of his fathering a child with her mother. Their relationship crumbled for the first time in 2015, when she left the village after learning that he’d shot Robert Sugden.
The pair reconciled in 2017, when Debbie returned to the village after daughter Sarah was diagnosed with cancer. It looked, for a moment, as though they would reunite for good, but ultimately decided not to for Sarah’s sake.

Kerry
In 2016, Ross bedded Kerry as part of a bet with his brother. Kerry, who had been with Dan at the time, fell pregnant with Ross’s child and had a termination.
When Dan found out he was furious and confronted Ross… only to be knocked out with one punch from the future bareknuckle boxer.
Rebecca and Ross left the village together (Credit: ITV)
Why did Ross leave Emmerdale? Rebecca White and exit from the village
In 2017, he began sleeping with Rebecca White. They broke up after he learned she’d had a one-night stand with Robert. Following his acid attack, he and Rebecca reconciled, bonding over their shared trauma.
In 2018, he and Rebecca decided to leave the village for a new life in Liverpool. Ross initially planned on bringing Moses, but Charity stopped him from doing so after learning about his cocaine use.
Ross and Rebecca left the village that year, with promises from Charity that he’d still get regular access to Moses. What he’s been up to in recent years is unclear, but it looks as though Rebecca is no longer on the scene…

In Emmerdale spoilers tonight, the fallout continues as Nicola hounds Tom over his recent actions. Last night’s episode of the soap saw Nicola question Carl Jr over his behaviour around Tom. It was then, after days of suspicion, that she realised Belle has been telling the truth.
Tom has been menacing Carl ever since the youth stole his tablet… the same tablet which was packed full of evidence that he’d been spying on Belle.
After threatening Carl, Tom managed to get his tablet back. He smashed it up while the terrified youth watched through the window. Carl has been scared witless ever since.

Realising that Carl had grown scared of Tom, Nicola was determined to find out the truth. And, as she sat the terrified youth down for a chat, she became increasingly convinced that Tom was behind Carl’s upset. Finding Carl’s remote control car in the bin outside the house, she knew that there was more to the situation than met the eye.
And, as the penny finally dropped, she realised that Belle had also been telling the truth about terrible Tom.
As Nicola confronted Tom that evening, he grew increasingly defensive, attempting to manipulate the situation – until Nicola threatened to call the police.
Will Nicola get to the bottom of Tom’s lies? And can she convince gullible Jimmy that his nephew isn’t as sweet and innocent as he’s been making out?
