Emmerdale review of the week: Belle fought back, we still love DS Foy and will Ella kill again?

This week’s review is full of despair, because everything in Emmerdale just feels a bit bleak, doesn’t it?

Poor Moira’s still in hospital, and there’s misery and upset everywhere we look. Here’s what we thought of this week’s episodes in our Emmerdale review.

What is going on?! (Credit: ITV)

    Kim and Will’s endless plots

We planned to do a little recap of what’s gone on with the warring couple but as soon as we started writing we realised we weren’t completely sure. Someone is double-crossing someone else, and Will seems to be working with Kim‘s Graham-clone financial adviser Peter.

But Peter seems to be working with someone else to bring down Kim (why does he even care? Who even is he?!)

Frankly, if Joe Tate’s not involved we’re not interested.

    Ella unleashed?

One thing we ARE interested in is Ella. Because she has taken the news about Chas and Liam very badly indeed. Which is a little bit odd because she and Liam only went out for about 10 minutes and he was clearly never that into her.

But her being so furious about the whole thing has made us a bit excited that she might take terrible revenge on Chas and Liam. She’s killed before, after all…

    Vinny and Tina
Is that it, then? (Credit: ITV)

Vinny’s FINE in our Emmerdale review

Is the whole Tina Dingle thing done and dusted now, then? Is that it? When Vinny joked with Belle that they just needed to “rejig the family tree” it sounded like it was all over. Job done. Surely there’s going to be more to this? We hope so, anyway!

Belle and Tom have one more showdown as he plans to flee

    Belle outsmarted Tom

When Tom tormented Belle this week, we were beginning to feel a bit frustrated. How come, we thought, no one is ever around when he corners poor Belle.

When he drove past her as he made his mistake, we even found ourselves wondering why Belle never uses her phone to help herself. Why doesn’t she film him? we thought.

But then Ms Dingle only went and outdid herself! She used her phone to track her evil ex and the hero that is DS Foy (yep, that crush we have on DS Foy is holding strong). Brilliant gripping stuff. We can’t wait to see Tom brought to justice.

Amelia and Jimmy finally saw sense!

A big shout out to Amelia and Jimmy for realising they’d also been duped by Tom and admitting their faults.

We especially enjoyed Charity and Amelia’s chat in the church. The Dingles have been really kind towards both Jimmy and Nicola this week, despite how they’d behaved towards Belle. It was good to see.

Leyla’s back in our Emmerdale review!

We’ve missed Leyla so we were very pleased to see her back this week. But it just reminded us that those rumours that she’s being killed off are still flying about and we’re not happy about them!

What on earth is going on in the baffling Kim and Will storyline? Plot unravelled including all the fan theories

Sometimes soaps air a storyline that has so many twists and turns that it’s hard for anybody to keep up. That seems to be the case with the current Emmerdale Kim and Will storyline.

Kim and Will used to be one of the stronger couples in the Dales. But in soap fashion, Emmerdale decided to tear them apart.

However, in doing so it has created an extremely baffling storyline that fans feel has gone on for too long.

Are Kim and Will together again? Who is playing who? And is Will just impossible to kill? Here is a round-up of what’s going on, including fan theories on what’s to come.

Kim and Will talk about getting back together - Emmerdale

Emmerdale Kim and Will – what’s happened

Emmerdale’s Kim and Will were a perfectly happily married couple. Fans were enjoying seeing them live their lives as a team. But when the show introduced Dawn’s mother, Rose, Will couldn’t resist going back to his past for a one-night stand.

Obviously this was not going to ever go down well with the iconic Kim Tate. And so when Will kept receiving blackmail messages, he never considered it could be his wife – but it was.

Eventually the couple decided to call time on their romance. But the end of their love story marked the beginning of a war.

The nasty divorce proceedings led Kim to hiring a financial advisor, Peter. The two then had a romantic encounter which led to Will confronting him.

Not wanting Will to get his hands on her wealth, Kim also teamed up with recently returned Ross Barton to remove her husband from the village.

While she didn’t mean Ross should kill him – that’s what he almost did – until Will rocked up at Home Farm, alive and angry.

Kim was shocked at her own happiness at seeing Will alive, and the couple called time on their feud and their divorce, to give their relationship another go.

But in another huge twist, viewers saw Will meet up with Peter revealing they had secretly been working together to bring Kim down. When Will informed him he wanted out, Peter reminded him that wasn’t possible.

After Ross informed Will of how Kim’s main concern was covering up his death when she thought he was gone, Will began to question if Peter was right. And so once again, Will is working against Kim.

And fans were treated to a mysterious phone call between Peter and an unknown person talking about “Operation destroy Kim.” But who was on the other line?

Kim and Will theories in Emmerdale

    Kim’s playing him

While many fans believe the back and forth between them is unnecessary and there was no need to wreck their relationship, many have thought of theories that could put Emmerdale queen Kim Tate on top.

After last night’s reveal that Will is still working against Kim, fans can’t help but think she is actually the one playing him. Because how could Kim Tate fall for his lies?

One wrote on X (formerly Twitter): “Kim’s too smart for this. She must be playing Will at his own game.”

Another agreed: “This is deffo Kim’s plan. Will is just falling for it.”

“Kim must be playing Will. She can’t really be back with him,” another fan pleaded.

So is Kim really the mastermind behind the whole thing? And has she realised if she wants Will out of the village, she has to do it herself?

    Are the Tates involved?

Other fan theories include Peter teaming up with other Tate members to take Kim down. Some who live in the village and others who don’t.

When Caleb first arrived in 2022, it was revealed he was the son of Frank Tate and that he was there to get what he felt belonged to him. This led to a feud between him and Kim, and while he may have failed the first time, could he be attempting another takedown?

Or could Peter actually be teaming up with Kim’s son, Jamie Tate? He is currently in hiding with his daughter, Millie, after faking his own death to get away from Kim. So does he want to come back to the village, but he knows he needs rid of his mother first?

Although a different much-loved Tate could be wanting to take back Home Farm. Fan favourite Joe Tate is still out there somewhere, and he still has a score to settle with Kim – so could it be him? Fans have been saying he needs to make a comeback..

While there could be many different outcomes, fans hope they don’t have long to wait to find out who the mastermind is.

  • Will survived Ross’ attack, but is it about time he pegs it?

Will survived Ross’ attack, but is it about time he pegs it?

Will is alive, last night’s episode of Emmerdale revealed. This came as he survived Ross‘s attack, which had been at the behest of scheming Kim – in an attempt to make her mooching husband leave the village.

Given a scare after Ross and Will led her to believe she’d gotten him killed, a relieved Kim made up with Will as he returned home, revealing how he’d teamed up with Ross to turn the tables.

And, as they headed back down from the bedroom more loved-up than ever, it seemed as though their marriage was back on track.

Later, as Will met with Kim’s former flame, Peter, he seemed keen to back out of their arrangement. Love’s not dead after all, and neither is Will.

    Shame.

Emmerdale fans left disappointed as Will lives

Writing on X as these scenes aired, fans shared their disappointment at the continued survival of Will Taylor – who many suspected may have been killed on Friday.

“Oh Emmerdale had the opportunity to get rid of Will,” said one dismayed viewer.

“So we’ve got Will for the foreseeable then,” sighed another.

“Knew it was good to be true that we’d be rid of Will,” a third said.

“Will’s still alive. My disappointment overflows,” wrote a fourth.

Has the soap wasted an opportunity to get rid of ‘dead wood’ Will?

    Operation destroy Kim continues

There was a further twist in store last night with the arrival of scheming solicitor Peter.

As Will met with Peter to call their plan off, the soap revealed that the pair had teamed up to bring Kim down.

Will is now having second thoughts after reconciling with Kim, but is it too late to call things off?

  • What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Amelia forgave Tom and Kim forgave Will – but his accomplice was not happy

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Amelia forgave Tom and Kim forgave Will – but his accomplice was not happy

Emmerdale tonight reunited Kim and Will at last – but it turns out he’s got himself into a mess with Peter, who has he been working with to bring Kim Tate down. Oops.

Meanwhile, Amelia fell back into Tom’s arms when he brought God into the equation. But Sam wasn’t having any of it and went straight to the police.

Here’s what happened in Emmerdale tonight, Monday November 25.

Will and Kim reunited – but there was a twist in Emmerdale tonight

Ross and Will made a deal (Credit: ITV)

    Will’s alive!

Ross burst into Kim’s and told her Will was dead. He even showed her photographic evidence. Ross claimed he had put Will in the back of the van and rolled it into the quarry.

Kim was devastated and aggressively threw him out. Lydia then arrived, but Kim just sent her home. And then Will walked in. A bit battered and bruised, but alive. Turned out Will and Ross made an arrangement to trick Kim into thinking he was dead.

    A much longed for reunion

Kim insisted she’d never meant to kill Will, she just wanted an end to all the arguing (you and us both). And before we knew it they were admitting they still loved each other and were kissing.

After an afternoon in bed, Kim called off the divorce and they agreed to start again. No more secrets. Which obviously means there are LOTS of secrets still to come.

Will has been working with Peter (Credit: ITV)

    And then the twist…

Sure enough, Will went to meet none other than Kim’s former flame Peter! It turns out they have been working together to bring Kim down.

Will tried to call the deal off, but Peter threatened to tell Kim everything. His threats left Will in a very tricky position indeed. Will he bring Kim down? Or will he do the sensible thing, confess to Kim what he was plotting and team up with her to stop smarmy Peter.

Well, when did anyone in Emmerdale ever do the sensible thing?

Tom won Amelia over – but not everyone else in Emmerdale tonight

Amelia forgave Tom, but Nicola still didn't want to know (Credit: ITV)

    Tom’s prayers were answered

Nicola was not interested in Tom’s excuses over why Amelia had been upset the previous week. He then headed to the church supposedly to pray, but actually to manipulate Amelia.

He spun her some nonsense about how he often comes to talk to God in the church, which obviously won Amelia straight over. Tom then talked about them getting engaged one day – but he said they had to grow their love first. For goodness sake, when we’re done retching, we ask again: when will Amelia see sense?

Amelia then went to see Nicola and explained what had happened – or at least what Tom had manipulated her into believing had happened.

    Sam went to the police

Amelia later suggested she and Tom read the Bible together as an evening’s entertainment. But Tom sweet talked her into planning their future instead – moving away together.

Sam overheard everything and insisted he would never let Esther go anywhere with an abuser. Sam said Belle was coming home tomorrow and was ready to take Tom on. But Tom insisted the police would never believe Belle over him.

Desperate to do something, Sam stormed off to the police station and cornered DS Foy, begging him to stop Tom. Foy assured him he understood it was frustrating and they were trying all they could to build a case. There’s not long to wait now, justice is about to be served.

    Also in Emmerdale tonight…

Chas and Liam had another clandestine meeting – out in the street. Chas then went to visit Moira who was worried about Cain and what she’d put him through. If only she knew. She didn’t want Cain to see her like this, but Chas urged her to be proud of her body and what it has done in fighting back.

Cain later went to see Moira and she didn’t want to see the kids. She told Cain she’d felt awful next to Ruby the previous day. Cain insisted she was beautiful inside and out and Ruby would never even come close. So how will he explain the fact he slept with Ruby while Moira was having brain surgery, then?!

Is Will dead? All we know as Ross attacks him – and actor Dean Andrews jets off on holiday

Tonight’s episode of Emmerdale left Will Taylor fighting for his life after being attacked by Ross. Cornered by Kim after attempting to steal her car, Ross was tasked with getting rid of Will – by any means necessary.

To be clear, Kim didn’t actually want Ross to kill Will. Still, a bit of roughhousing wasn’t out of the question. Anything to get the smug moocher out of the house, eh.

    Will dead after Ross attacks?

Ross intercepted Will as he walked back from babysitting the kids for Dawn and Billy. Bundling him into the back of a van, Ross managed to pacify the older man with a smack to the chops – only for Will to surprise him by coming to and fighting back.

As a struggle broke out, Will toppled backwards and smashed his head on a rock. Ross looked on horrified as Will lay unconscious on the ground.

Is Will dead in Emmerdale? Is Dean Andrews leaving the soap?

The episode’s shock ending came out of left field for viewers, with no indication given that Will would be attacked tonight. And it’s unclear what will happen next either, with no mention of Will Taylor in next week’s spoilers.

Actor Dean Andrews, who plays Will on the soap, has remained tight-lipped too. It’s important to note that neither he nor the producers have revealed plans to kill Will off – meaning that he may well have survived.

What we do know is that Dean jetted off on holiday to Dubai yesterday – suggesting that he might not be filming Emmerdale for a while.

“Let the journey to see @mrscobesxo @coburnfitness and our beautiful grandchildren begin. Me and @helenbowensomething_ always seem to end up in a bar,” the actor wrote on Instagram yesterday, sharing a snap from the airport bar, and tagging his family in the post.

Dean’s daughter and grandchildren moved there earlier this year, so it will definitely be a happy family reunion. But is it a well-earned break or a more permanent exit for Will Taylor?

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: The Dingles vowed to raise ‘merry hell’, Ruby found out the truth and Harriet was finally remembered!

Emmerdale tonight saw Zak’s body return to his home as the Dingle family vowed to do him proud. He will be buried tomorrow, so get all the tissues ready!

Meanwhile, Ruby discovered Caleb’s betrayal and, in amongst all the drama, Harriet was mentioned!

Here’s everything that happened in Emmerdale tonight, Wednesday October 16.

The Dingles vowed to do Zak proud

Chas and Marlon were trying to plan Zak’s funeral to take their minds off Zak’s death, but it turned out planning a funeral for someone just makes you think about them even more.

Meanwhile, Cain and Sam and the rusty old van made it back from Aberdeen with Zak’s body. Belle wasn’t happy to see her dad thrown in the back of the rickety rust bucket (in a wicker coffin, thankfully), but Cain and Sam revealed Zak had left instructions to bury him within 48 hours, so that was what they were going to do.

Gathering around his coffin, the Dingles raised a glass to Zak. But when it was revealed Zak left a letter for Lydia and not Belle, she was devastated.

The instructions left from Zak were that he must be buried within 48 hours, at home and specifically not next to Shadrach (that bit was in capital letters so he must have meant it!). He also wanted a rowan tree at his head to protect him from the witches, and double underlined – no vicar, no God and no tears. He wanted to be drummed through the village one last time, with a “party to end all parties”.

The Dingles vowed to stay up with Zak all night and at midday tomorrow they will bury him the way he wanted and the way he lived. “We are gonna raise merry hell,” Cain declared.

    What a send-off.

Ruby found out Caleb’s betrayal in Emmerdale tonight

Already stroppy for some unknown reason, Ruby‘s day was made even worse when she took delivery of her mother’s ashes. She immediately binned them to wash her hands of her mum.

Seeking solace in a glass of wine in the Woolpack, Ruby offloaded on Chas, who advised Ruby visit the hospital and ask the nurse if she knew anything that Helen said before she died.

And so of course Ruby then found out Caleb had visited her mum before she died. Returning home she skirted around the subject, before confronting Caleb over his deceit. He lied a bit more to cover his tracks, explaining it was all for Ruby, but she kicked him out and told him they were done for good. Yeah, right, until tomorrow night, eh?

Will and Kim are softening (Credit: ITV)
The merry-go-round of Will and Kim continued (Credit: ITV)

Emmerdale tonight: Kim softened and then didn’t

Standing firm, Kim made sure Will knew her leaning on him yesterday meant nothing. But Will presented her with a bunch of flowers to mark their wedding anniversary. She was grateful and things were definitely thawing, but is it enough to bring them back together?

Kim later cracked open a bottle of fizz to reciprocate his flowers. He hinted at moving things upstairs, but she quickly changed the subject. Then as he casually asked Kim for money for Dawn, her hackles rose. She accused him of trying to charm her for cash rather than because of genuine feelings. Kim then told him in no uncertain terms the Bank of Tate is closed.

    Also in Emmerdale tonight…

Tough times for Dawn and Billy

Dawn was sad as she only had leftover casserole from Marlon to feed the kids for their tea. Will gave her a bit of cash to do a shop, but Billy wasn’t happy about accepting charity. Dawn was firm they had no choice.

As an aside,we’re still unsure why they are staying in Holdgate – a massive house with massive upkeep costs when surely moving back to Home Farm would be an option now?

Billy lied he has signed Jade up as a client, when actually he’s planning another illegal fight. Meanwhile, Kim told Dawn she was giving her the money and she needed to focus only on Evan.

    Moira stood firm

Debbie has decided not to come to the funeral and Moira was not impressed by the news. She apparently can’t face it and wants to remember him in her own way. But Moira was worried about how Cain was handling everything without Debbie’s support.

However, Matty was more concerned with Moira missing her operation. She had already cancelled it though, and begged Matty to understand they’d lost the heart of the family and they need to focus on that.

Harriet was remembered – at last

No one cared much when she actually died (and she didn’t even get an on-screen funeral!) but two years since Harriet died, Will and Dawn remembered her. At last.

They left flowers at the bus stop for her and talked about her fondly. For a minute or two, then they moved on. We’re still waiting for justice for Harriet after all these years.

  • Review of the week: Childish antics, teenage angst, and tech troubles – put the lot of them in detention!

Review of the week: Childish antics, teenage angst, and tech troubles – put the lot of them in detention!

Our Emmerdale review this week was written in our lunch-break, just after double maths… of course, we’re kidding, but didn’t this week’s episodes feel like being back at school?!

After the brilliant, tense drama of Tom and Belle, this week we were served up something even less appetising than school dinners!

We love Heartstopper, and we love Waterloo Road, and that’s why if we wanted teen-style angst and drama we’d watch them instead.

Here’s the lowdown on why we think everyone needs detention in this week’s Emmerdale review.

Kim dresses to impress Peter and make Will jealous in Emmerdale
Kim and Will were making each other jealous (Credit: ITV)

    Will and Kim’s teenage games

Oh for heaven’s sake, what on earth is going on here? Kim and Will are very much old enough to know better than these ridiculous games they’re both playing. It is exhausting, frustrating and quite honestly, more than a little boring watching them try to get one up on each other and it’s taking us right back to the days of school discos, and ‘he said, she said’ gossip.

Making each other jealous, Will messing up Kim’s nice house, Kim packing Will’s bags – honestly, could they be any more childish?

We know that both Kim and Will are – how can we put this? – morally challenged. They’ll both go to great lengths to get what they want – and it’s a lot more fun seeing them do that together on a mutual enemy, than taking on each other.

Will and Kerry were drunk as they told Kim they were going upstairs (Credit: ITV)
    Seriously?! (Credit: ITV)

If it was up to us, we’d send them off on a trip to Dubai or somewhere, and let them regroup and work things out off-screen, so we don’t have to see it. Then we’d welcome them home, tanned, relaxed and back together, ready to take on the baddies of Emmerdale.

Mack tries to help injured Billy in Emmerdale
Billy’s made some very bad choices (Credit: ITV)

    Billy’s boring boxing battles

Meanwhile, behind the bike sheds, Billy’s hiding a huge secret. He’s been taking part in unlicensed boxing matches and getting himself battered in the process. And it’s funny because you’d think this would make Billy and Dawn more interesting, but it actually doesn’t. Probably because it’s all happened off-screen.

Anyway, all it’s done is make us a bit disappointed in Mack and John for being complicit in this whole thing and not telling Billy to grow up and get a proper job. Maybe next week we’ll see them both gathered round Billy shouting “fight, fight, fight!”

Tom King is apparently a whizz at installing secret cameras, but less clever when it comes to destroying technology. He smashed up the tablet that contains evidence against him with a rock, making it smoke – weird – and seemingly forgetting that nothing’s really gone forever these days.

We’re just hoping little Carl, who was watching his odd uncle out of the window, has been paying attention in computing lessons and knows more about finding files on the cloud than Tom does.

    Emmerdale review: Sex education

OMG how cringe was Laurel’s chat with Arthur about sex? When she produced a pack of condoms so Arthur could explore his sexuality with older men, we wanted to cry! We were forced to watch the whole excruciating conversation through our fingers.

But when it comes to being a grown-up, Arthur’s been adulting way better than his neighbours this week! He even apologised to John. Very mature!

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Billy’s boxing nightmare continued and so did Will and Kim’s marriage crisis

Emmerdale tonight dragged out some more stories including Billy fighting for money and Kim and Will’s marriage crisis. Just as they gave us a glimmer of hope that there was light at the end of the tunnel for some of the long-running plot lines, we hit more dead ends. Again.

Stay with us to find out everything that happened in Emmerdale tonight, Friday October 11.

Billy is lying to Dawn in Emmerdale

Billy lied to Dawn over and over again

Billy was still lying to Dawn and we’re still bored. Boxing promoter and billed new villain Jade soon pulled up in chauffeur driven car and Dawn just walked out right at that moment. Jade covered for Billy pretending she was just in the market for a new PT.

Billy was tempted by the money to fight again and as he discussed it with Mack the mechanic quickly worked out Billy was getting a kick out of the boxing and money wasn’t everything. But he insisted he was done with it all.

Back at home Billy and Dawn pledged their love to each other and stated family is all they need. But apparently not Billy, who still needs boxing.

He then found out the new car he’d bought was a cut and shut job and was only good for Vinny at the scrapyard. Billy whinged again about not being man enough to provide for his family and how things don’t just seem to be going his way. Dawn said much the same about them being unlucky and Billy was a sad man again. So he called Jade and accepted her offer.

This won’t end well. Billy knows it. We know it. Everyone knows it. But he’s doing it anyway. Awesome.

Will offered an olive branch to Kim in Emmerdale tonight

Jimmy was still encouraging Will to try and save his marriage. Meanwhile, Kim was confiding in Lydia when Will arrived home with a chai latte with a sprinkle of cinnamon as a peace offering – that’s gonna do it, it’ll solve everything.

Well, it did force them to sit down and chat, at least. He confessed he never slept with Kerry and he wondered if there was a glimmer of hope for them. But Kim’s walls were up. Sigh. Although she did agree to think about trying again. Please let this be the ending in sight…

    Nope, apparently not!

Kim later texted Will to meet her and they soon started arguing. She said she was so tired of this bickering (she’s not the only one). Kim then told him to move out. She’d even packed his bags for him and drained their joint accounts. Now Will is also a sad man, just like Billy.

Tom wooed Amelia with the Woolie

Amelia seems to be the first person in the village who has noticed Tom is walking well, given he was axed in the back (have the writers been looking at social media and slotted that in, do we think?!).

And it also seems Amelia has started to see Tom’s not so lovely side when she asked if he was just trying to use her.

But alas, her rose-tinted spectacles were soon fixed and Tom proved himself by taking her to the Woolpack. She was taken in and told him she was ready to take things to the next level. But he turned her down. Are those alarm bells still not ringing, Amelia?

John stepped up in Emmerdale tonight

Laurel was still hassling Arthur about the condoms. She even suggested he pretend she was Ashley if that made it easier – why Laurel seems to think vicar Ashley would be better at this than her, given her, er, prolific sexual experience, we’re not sure.

John overheard and stepped in, asking Arthur to help fix his headlight. Arthur was a bit confused as to why John would want his help  given the lies he told, but John was using the excuse to gently (or as gently as John ever does) give Arthur some advice. In a brotherly way. Not in a sexual way. He made that much very clear, but does Arthur understand?

    Also in Emmerdale tonight…

    Gail got her wish

Gail was still worried about dead Noreen following her around the room at home. She is sure she’s going to be possessed by her ghost and feels her watching her all the time. So she was thrilled when Ryan said they were moving into the Woolpack to escape the spirit.

    Sam was sad

Becoming the third sad man in the village was Sam. After visiting Samson in prison, Sam was down in the dumps. Samson’s not coping apparently. Liam bought Sam a drink to cheer him up and offered him some advice, but Sam wanted to drink alone.

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: The truth about Will and Kerry’s night of passion was revealed – but not to Kim, who was in a bad, bad mood

Emmerdale tonight saw the truth about Will and Kerry’s liaison revealed as Kim seethed and decided to turn bad, like, really bad.

Elsewhere, Billy got in a spot of bother and Amelia fought Tom’s corner. Here’s everything that happened in Emmerdale tonight, Wednesday October 9.

Kim was cross over Will and Kerry

Kerry crept down after spending the night with Will and Kim was not best pleased. Kerry made a speedy exit – probably wise.

Will then went boasting to Jimmy about his bedroom athletics with Kerry. Jimmy wasn’t actually impressed – so he has got some sense, then, just not when it comes to Tom!

Meanwhile, in the Hide, Kerry was rubbing it in to Kim’s face. So Kim decided to be bad again – she thinks no one respects her and she wants that respect back by being horrible to everyone around her again. Starting with Amy and her waitressing skills. Not really the right look, Kim, if we’re honest.

It later turned out that Will paid Kerry to pretend they slept together to wind Kim up. So that’s one up for Will, is it?

Come on Emmerdale, enough now. Enough.

Mack tends to injured Billy in Emmerdale

Billy was black and blue in Emmerdale tonight

Mack has sorted Billy a car, but Billy said he couldn’t view it. However he then lied to Dawn he was going to view the car. Mack was confused and Billy told him: ‘It’s complicated’. You can say that again (and we’re past caring if we’re honest).

Later on Dawn was waiting for Billy to go with her to collect Evan and he hadn’t come back. Gabby pulled up and offered to drive her instead. They then had a heart-to-heart and it looks like these two are becoming friends, which is exactly what Emmerdale needs, actually, women supporting women rather than being at each other’s throats.

Meanwhile, somewhere in the village, Billy was cowering in pain, bloody and bruised where Mack found him. He refused to go to the doctor or the hospital and admitted he’s been illegally boxing and he fell on something sharp when his opponent body slammed him. Although Mack insisted the hospital was the only option, they agreed on calling John to stitch him up instead.

John agreed to help, got Mack to take his belt off and gave it to Billy to bite down on before he stitched him up. Billy then limped home and gave Dawn a very lame excuse about where he’d been.

After John advised him to stop fighting or he might die and Dawn told him she needed to be able to count on him, a phone call threw everything up in the air for Billy when he was offered double pay for a fight next week. Will he risk everything and accept? And are we really interested in this storyline at all?

    Also in Emmerdale tonight…

Amelia was mean and then said sorry

Sam and Amelia had an awkward exchange in the village as Sam begged her not to cut them off from Esther. Amelia claimed she was keeping Esther safe from violent Belle. Could she be any more annoying?

Amelia later decided she had been wrong about keeping Esther away, so took the little girl to visit. She also gave them a photo for Samson as a peace offering. But then she laid it on thick with Lydia how thoughtful and kind Tom is and how Tom adores her. He’s apparently the perfect gentleman. But Lydia wasn’t buying it and explained her fears for Amelia and Esther.

As they reached a stalemate, it looks like Amelia isn’t going to budge on this one. More’s the pity.

Laurel grossed Arthur (and us!) out

Laurel apologised to Arthur and they agreed to start all over again. But then she bought him a box of condoms and he stormed off in another huff. Talk about embarrassing mum!
