5 Spoilers for tonight, Tuesday October 1: Aaron goes behind John’s back, Laurel and Charles are over already, and there’s calamity at Butlers Farm

In Emmerdale spoilers for tonight, Aaron implicates John in his latest criminal scam. The sly mechanic follows Mack’s suggestion of using John’s vehicle to hide evidence of his theft. But is his boyfriend about to rumble his plan?

Elsewhere in Emmerdale on Tuesday October, 1, Laurel and Charles decide to put an end to their fling. And the finger of blame is pointed at Moira after her sheep escape.

Aaron is lying to John in Emmerdale spoilers

1. Aaron’s in possession of stolen goods

Aaron had a brush with the law yesterday after PC Swirling questioned him over a stolen batch of smart watches. The copper searched Aaron’s car, but was unable to find any evidence linking him to the crime.

Despite pleading his innocence, Aaron’s as guilty as sin. But he hasn’t admitted this to John. For some reason Aaron doesn’t want his lover knowing he’s behind the theft.

He also knows there’s a chance Swirling will come back and he needs to find a place to dispose of his spoils. But where?

2. Aaron puts his plan into action

Aaron is intrigued when Mack comes up with the suggestion of using John’s campervan to stash his loot.

He asks John if he can borrow his vehicle, but his request his met with a very definite no. Does John suspect Aaron is up to no good?

Aaron decides to push ahead with his plan anyway, and when John is distracted he swipes the keys to his van. Is he about to implicate his boyfriend in his criminal plan? And will John discover what’s going on?

3. Laurel admits her fling with Charles

Nicola has picked up on the tension between Laurel and Charles and wants to know what’s going on.

Laurel admits they slept together, but it was a one-off. But when Nicola questions why their affair is over already, it’s clear Laurel is torn about her feelings.

4. Laurel and Charles break up

Meeting up later, Laurel and Charles discuss what’s going on between them.

Eventually the pair decide the responsible thing to do is call it a day, given that Laurel’s in the middle of a messy divorce and Charles is still getting over his split from Manpreet.

But will they really be able to stay away from one another?

5. Mack blames Moira for the missing sheep

Mack is growing increasingly concerned about Moira’s behaviour and thinks she needs to slow down and put her health first.

Moira’s brain tumour is causing her to suffer memory lapses and seizures, which is worrying given her position of responsibility at the farm.

Mack is stressed when he goes to check on the sheep and discovered the whole flock have escaped. He accuses Moira of not shutting the animals in properly, and she agrees not to go out by herself anymore.

Can they bring the sheep back to safety?

Emmerdale spoilers: Billy’s secret is revealed as he gets seriously injured and begs Mack for help

Billy’s been hiding something, and the shocking truth is revealed in next week’s Emmerdale spoilers. Dawn’s husband has been competing in underground boxing, and he turns to Mack for help after sustaining a nasty injury. But will his mate keep his secret?

Billy is deceiving Dawn in Emmerdale spoilers

It’s been an incredibly difficult year for the Fletcher family. Not only have Billy and Dawn endured the trauma of Evan’s leukemia battle, they’ve also had to leave the comforts of Home Farm.Â Money is in short supply, but it seems Billy may have found a lucrative sideline.

Viewers will know Billy is keeping a secret. He’s been making furtive calls to someone, and there’s no way that wad of cash Dawn found was just ‘savings’ as he claimed.

Next week, Billy is seen concealing a pair of boxing gloves from his wife. Is this reason he’s suddenly in the money?

Mack grows suspicious of Billy

Finally there’s a bit of good news when the doctors give Dawn and Billy the all clear to bring Evan home from hospital.

Billy pays Mack a visit and asks if he’ll help find him a cheap car. He agrees to help, but is suspicious of Billy’s newfound wealth and an injury he appears to be nursing.

The following day, Mack gets a lead on a motor while Dawn reminds Billy they can’t be late in collecting Evan. But it seems Billy has lost track of time when he fails to show.

Thankfully Gabby comes to Dawn’s rescue and gives her a lift to the hospital. But where has Billy disappeared to?

Billy makes a confession in Emmerdale spoilers

Mack is horrified when he opens his door to find a bloodied and bruised Billy standing there. It’s clear Billy is in a bad way as he shows Mack a deep gash on the side of his torso. But he won’t listen to his friend’s plea to goÂ to hospital through fear of the authorities getting involved.

While Mack tries to stem the bleeding, Billy finally admits the truth – he’s been competing in unlicensed boxing matches. He acknowledges it’s a dangerous pastime, but explains he’s been doing it provide for his family.

Paramedic John soon arrives to help stitch Billy’s wound back up. But how on earth is he going to explain this one to Dawn?

Will Billy’s injury be a wake up call for him to stop? Or is he going to carry on risking his life by fighting?

4 Spoilers for tonight, Monday September 30: Mack and Matty fear what Moira will do next, and Aaron gets on the wrong side of the law

In Emmerdale spoilers for Monday September 30, Moira’s erratic behaviour is causing her loved ones serious concern. Matty decides to move in with his mum to help her, but will Moira want him there?

Meanwhile, John is suspicious when PC Swirling questions Aaron about a reported theft. But what has he been up to?

Moira’s health is in decline in Emmerdale spoilers

1. Moira is spiralling

Moira’s life was shattered this month when she was diagnosed with a meningioma, a non-cancerous type of brain tumour. The mass in her head has caused her to suffer from seizures, memory loss, confusion and bouts of anger.

Moira is currently dealing with a ‘watch and wait’ situation to see how the tumour grown. But it’s clear her health is getting worse. She’s experiencing frequent seizures and is having difficulty remembering what she did, when.

Moira’s erratic behaviour is also causing her loved ones a lot of stress, particularly as she’sstruggling to face up to the fact she’s ill.

2. Matty moves in to Butlers

As the week begins, Matty arrives at Butlers with a holdall. He’s desperately worried about his mum, especially with Cain away, and wants to keep a closer eye on her.

However, Moira isn’t thrilled by the prospect. She knows Matty will be watching her every move and forcing her to face up to the reality of her illness.

But as Moira experiences another difficult day, Mack and Matty both agree her behaviour is getting worse. Can they help her before something dreadful happens?

3. Liam wants the gossip

Elsewhere in the village, John is settling into his new job at Brook Surgery. Liam offered the former army medic a role at his practice after he saved Pollard from having an angina attack.

As the new colleagues get to know one another, Liam quizzes John about his relationship with Aaron.

But John doesn’t like being asked about his personal life and refuses to give any details.

4. PC Swirling wants a word with Aaron

Ello, ello, what’s going on here then? It seems Aaron’s been up to his usual tricks when PC Swirling approaches him on Main Street wanting to discuss some stolen smart watches.

The copper reveals Aaron’s car was seen leaving the scene of the crime and wants to search his motor. Aaron feigns his innocence as John approaches to see what’s going on.

Swirling is unable to find any evidence in the car and leaves, while Aaron breathes a sigh of relief that he didn’t tell John about his latest scam. Keeping secrets from one another already – that’s not a good sign for the future!

Emmerdale spoilers: Moira’s mistake causes deaths at the farm as Mack and Matty try to make her see sense

In next week’s Emmerdale spoilers, Moira makes a fatal error at Butlers that results in multiple deaths. The tragic incident only further fuels Mack and Matty’s fears for her health. But can they persuade headstrong Moira to slow down?

Moira vows its business as usual in Emmerdale spoilers

Moira’s life has been turned upside down since being diagnosed with a brain tumour.

In the aftermath of the terrifying barn fire, Moira suffered a seizure in front of husband Cain. A scan at the hospital detected a mass on her brain, and doctors revealed Moira had a meningioma, a type of non cancerous tumour.

Medics have opted for a ‘wait and see’ approach to treatment, and Moira has said no to brain surgery. So now she’s left facing a very uncertain future. But despite her terror and fear, Moira is determined to carry on as normal. Her priorities are being a mum, wife, and of course, running her beloved Butlers.

But has she underestimated the toll its going to take on her already fragile health?

Moira makes a grave error at work

Matty is deeply concerned for his mum’s wellbeing and decides to move in to keep a closer eye on her. Moira is annoyed when she sees her son arriving with a holdall and carries on insisting she’s fine.

But that’s really not the case, and as Moira’s erratic behaviour continues, Mack and Matty make a worrying discovery.

Mack finds Butlers’ flock of sheep have somehow escaped and accuses Moira of forgetting to shut them in properly. Moira agrees to stop going out alone, but it’s too little too late when Mack and Matty locate the sheep.

They discover the majority of the flock are dead, and one is them is in a very bad state. Can the poor creature be saved?

Moira turns to Ruby for support

News of fatalities leaves Moira distraught as she struggles to remember how – or why – the sheep ended up escaping in the first place.

But the upsetting incident is also a wake-up call, as Moira accepts she needs to take a break from farming and focus on her wellbeing.

Afterwards, she reaches out to former nemesis Ruby, who’s also in distress after the death of her late mum, Helen. Ruby spent 30 years estranged from her parent before her passing.

As the ladies get talking, Moira opens up about her health struggles, while Ruby discusses her mother’s cremation. Will their shared pain help give Moira and Ruby strength to carry on?

Fans do a complete U-turn over Mack as they hail him ‘hero’ of the episode

Fans of Emmerdale have done a complete U-turn over Mackenzie Boyd following the latest episode.

Previously, Mack has rubbed viewers up the wrong way. Mainly because of his cheating on Charity with Chloe and his treatment of both women.

Fans complained about Mack continuing to grate, even going so far as to beg for him to be killed off.

But is a redemption arc on the way for Mack?

What happened in Emmerdale?

Following the shocking barn fire, as she recovered in hospital, Moira was given the news that she had a brain tumour.

Cain behaved like a petulant child and refused to be by her side, insisting he couldn’t handle it. He eventually had a change of heart, though his anger continued to rear its head.

In last night’s episode (September 16), not satisfied with the doctor’s advice â€“ as presumably Cain knows better â€“ he tipped up a table and stormed out.

Moira’s brother Mack was the unlikely source of calm, as he shared some strong words with his brother-in-law, telling him to “get a grip and be better”.

Mack told Cain: “She will worry that you’ll throw another selfish tantrum because you’re too weak to handle it. She needs to know what she’s up against. How can she do that when she’s too busy worrying about you?

“We’re all struggling here, but this is the start of what Moira has to deal with.”

Emmerdale fans enjoyed the confrontation and have lauded Mack for standing up to Cain.

Emmerdale fans call Mack a hero

Following the episode, Emmerdale fans took to Instagram to express their joy at Mack’s words.

“Mackenzie was the star of tonight’s episode,” wrote one fan, while another added: “Got to respect Mack tonight.”

A third fan said: “Mac tonight was…” accompanied by three emojis â€“ fire, applause and a hand making the OK sign.

Another fan was in agreement, writing: “Well said Mackenzie.”

With fans having done a U-turn on Mack, could Moira’s diagnosis be the source of some good and be the making of Mack?

Emmerdale tonight: Moira’s got to ‘watch and wait,’ Mack gives Cain some valuable advice, and Ruby isn’t coping

In Emmerdale tonight, we *finally* found out where Nate has gone – and spoiler alert, he didnâ€™t die in the fire like fans thoughtâ€¦

For the last few days, fans have been left seriously suspicious over Nateâ€™s whereabouts. Actor Jurell Carter said his goodbyes to the soap last week – but viewers have pointed out a lot of holes in his exit storyline.

Some fans think he actually did move to Scotland like he planned whilst others think he was caught up in the barn fire.

And tonight (Monday, September 16), the truth is finally out.

Emmerdale tonight: Cain reaches out to Nate

At the start of the Emmerdale episode, Cain was at the hospital with Moira – keen to get in touch with Nate. With Nate having apparently upped sticks to Shetland, Cain wanted to put the past few days behind them.

For those who forgot, Cain accused Nate of â€˜kissingâ€™ Moira – when in reality it was caused by her brain tumour.

But when he called up Nate later on, he didnâ€™t pick up (hmmâ€¦)

Tracy upset over Nate news on Emmerdale tonight

Back in the village, an emotional Tracy was back at work following Nateâ€™s apparent exit. Fans will recall Tracy was supposed to head off with Nate to Shetland and have their happy ending.

But then, after finding out about his â€˜kissâ€™ with Moira, she called it off. Sometime later though, she seriously regretted it when she learned the truth.

Anyway, tonight, Victoria and Vanessa saw an emotional Tracey fresh from crying. And it turns out it had something to do with Nate…

Emmerdale reveals where Nate is

In Emmerdale tonight, Tracy received a text from Nate. Yes! A text! He is aliveeeeee!

It was the moment soap fans have been waiting for! And the message read: “Settling in, head’s a mess, donâ€™t call me, Iâ€™ll call you when Iâ€™m ready.”

Wow, brutal.

Well there we have it! Nate is alive and in Shetland! Heâ€™s not burnt to a crisp and has not been killed!

Unless Tracy has turned into Annie from Misery and is keeping him hostage? Hmmmm. Emmerdaleâ€™s 2024 Christmas storyline maybe?

Ruby finds support in Chas

Elsewhere in the episode, Ruby was still left shaken after the barn fire, and with silver fox Caleb not showing his support, she ended up confiding in sister-in-law Chas. (The iconic duo we never knew we needed!)

Also, Moira went through her treatment options – whilst getting annoyed with her familyâ€™s constant interference.

The neurosurgeon ultimately suggested that Moira should follow a â€˜watch and waitâ€™ approach – which didnâ€™t go down too well with Cain. So much so, he tipped a hospital table up and stormed outâ€¦

Cain and Mack clash

Mack ran after him and he soon gave Cain some home truths, with the pair getting into a rather tense shouting matchâ€¦. Anyone else feeling a tad hot under the collar?

Afterwards, Mack then told Cain how ‘everyone’ is struggling with Moiraâ€™s diagnosis. After Cain said he wanted to do right by Moira, Mack proclaimed: “Good, then get a grip and be better!”

At the end of the episode though, Moira ended up confusing Cain for her son Adam Barton in a truly heartbreaking moment. We’re not crying, we promise!

4 Emmerdale romances that NEED to happen

It’s fair to say that the Dales have seen their fair share of couples get together and split up over the years…

Some couples have stood the test of time whilst others have fallen at the first hurdle.

Here’s four pairings we’d love to see get together in Emmerdale village!

Emmerdale romances: 1. Belle and Vinny

Belle and Vinny have always been close. They’ve been there for each other (as friends) through thick and thin.

Vinny’s currently supporting Belle as she struggles to come to terms with Tom’s abuse of her. Despite Tom causing trouble for their friendship in the past, this pair will always return to each other’s side in the end.

Let’s be honest, Vinny and Gabby really don’t make for a perfect match. Gabby isn’t known for her compassion after all…

But, Vinny and Belle? They already have a great bond going. So, here’s to hoping they develop a romantic connection in the near future. Maybe, let’s just give Belle some time to breathe before jumping into another relationship though.

2. Manpreet and Liam

Liam’s had flings and relationships with a fair few women in the village, but he’s yet to cross that boundary with colleague and friend, Manpreet.

Manpreet and Liam actually have a lot in common (with serial killer Meena unfortunately being a topic they both know all too well.)

Perhaps Liam might find it a little icky to start dating the sister of his daughter’s killer. But, if he just puts that factor (okay, very big factor) aside for a moment, he could well find that his good friendship with Manpreet could turn into something more! And, we’d totally ship them!

Emmerdale romances: 3. Mack and Aaron

Aaron’s currently having a fling with John Sugden (yes, the half-brother of Robert Sugden – awks!)

But, it’s no secret that Mack’s been feeling jealous over John getting in the way of his bromance with Aaron.

Mack’s childish feud with John could all be explained though… you know, as jealousy? Perhaps, Mack only has a vendetta against John because he wants Aaron all to himself.

If Mack was to suddenly confess his secret feelings for Aaron, we’d be all for it!

4. Charity and Vanessa

As we’re shipping Mack and Aaron together, that means that Mack will have to ditch Charity…

So, shall we just all rewind back to the 2019 era when we were all at peak Vanity era? Life was rather sweet back then before Charity and Vanessa split in 2020 (we’re still not over it, can you tell?)

Vanessa and Charity had way more chemistry than Mack and Charity. Vanessa actually cared about Charity whereas Mack only really proves to prioritise himself over his marriage time and time again. We certainly wouldn’t be opposed to a Vanity reunion!

Review of the week: Moira’s in danger, in hospital, and making friends with Ruby!

This week our Emmerdale review is hot, hot, hot! Just like Moira’s barn, which exploded with Moira and Cain inside – it was dramatic stuff.

And finally we found out what’s been going on with poor Mrs Dingle’s health. Here’s what we thought of all the action in our Emmerdale review.

The barn explosion

We have never been fans of big stunts in soap. They have their place and sometimes they work so brilliantly we talk about them for years (yes, we are still going on about the Hotton By-pass crash, so what?). But you can have too much of a good thing. So exciting and dramatic as the barn blowing up was, it was the other stuff around it we liked best this week.

Moira’s health crisis

Never were the stakes higher than when Ruby was out cold and Moira had to get her out of the burning barn – only to have another absent moment. As Moira zoned out, the tension was ramping up. What a cliffhanger! It was great soapy telly.

And the reveal that Moira has a mass on her brain that has been causing her odd behaviour, and her reconciliation with Cain (which is frankly more than he deserves, in our opinion though he did save Moira’s life so we’ll let him off), was heart-wrenching and emotional. We really hope Moira gets through this!

Moira and Ruby

We’ve wanted Moira and Ruby to be friends since Ruby first arrived in the village and there was a little moment this week where we thought it could happen! Ruby went to visit Moira in hospital and they both apologised – sort of – for their past behaviour. It was understated and a little bit funny and we loved it.

Mack’s still invincible in our Emmerdale review

Mackenzie Boyd is like Emmerdale’s answer to Wolverine – he’s survived a clifftop plunge in his car, a stabbing, being held at gunpoint, the fire in the maize maze, and being chased by a bull. And now he’s dived into the blazing barn and rescued Ruby, too. Is there nothing this man can’t handle? Because actually it’s getting a bit boring now.

John’s making his mark

The other hero of the fire was, without a doubt, John Sugden. Not only did he battle the flames alongside Mack, he swung into action and revealed he’d been an Army medic. So in this Emmerdale review we’d like to confirm that he’s definitely growing on us.

Where’s Nate?

Nate’s exit was well, a bit unfair. After getting a beating from his furious dad, Cain, Nate tried to say goodbye to daughter Frankie, only for Tracy to send him packing. Though Tracy did eventually relent and let Nate say a tearful farewell to his little girl.

Later, Nate told John what had happened, explaining that Moira had thrown herself at him. And he said he had nothing to be ashamed of – he wasn’t going to run away like he was guilty. Instead, he said he was going to see Moira, though John seemed to talk him out of it.

We can’t help wondering, though, if Nate did go to find Moira after all. Could he be an unexpected victim of the barn fire?Â It’s weird to hope that someone dies, but we feel his exit would be just too mean if there isn’t a twist!

Fans of Emmerdale have called out chilled Mack Boyd for his entirely underwhelmed reaction to this week’s calamitous barn fire. As a confused Moira inadvertently sparked a blaze which trapped her and Ruby inside the barn, Mack was the first on the scene.

Speeding over on his quad bike, he met John at the barn doors – and established that Moira was inside. As John tried to get inside, Mack called for help, alerting Chas and Cain.

This done, he then joined John inside, and the pair set about trying to rescue Moira and Ruby. And surely Mack would be desperate to save his sister from a painful death, right?

Mack and John to the rescue… but mostly John

By the time Cain arrived, Mack was back outside the barn, claiming that he’d been unable to find Moira.

Ruby, meanwhile, was safe and sound (smoke inhalation notwithstanding), having being carried out by the heroic pair.

But fans were quick to notice how calm Mack seemed about the whole situation – especially given that his sister was inside the barn, potentially burning to death.

Emmerdale fans slam Mack over barn fire reaction

As the episode aired, fans took to social media to share their thoughts on Mack’s surprisingly calm reaction.

“Cain saving Moira whilst useless Mack just leaves his OWN sister in there to burn!” exclaimed one fan on X.

“Mack couldnâ€™t sound less concerned on the phone,” noticed another.

“Mack sounded like he didn’t give a [swear] that his sister was in a burning barn,” pointed out a third.

“I’m not a fan of the Mack/John acting right now, they’re a bit too calm for my liking,” said a fourth.

Military man John we can excuse, but not Mack, who didn’t seem too worried about his sister meeting a grisly end.

3 Emmerdale spoilers for tonight: Butlers barn is still alight as the emergency services arrive on the scene

In Emmerdale spoilers for Thursday September 12, emergency services arrive at the scene of Butlers barn explosion. The building is engulfed in flames and there’s an anxious wait to find out who has survived.

Chas, Mack, John, Caleb and Ruby are amongst the terrified onlookers, desperate for news on Moira and Cain. But have they made it out alive?

1. The terror continues at Butlers

A deadly blaze has ripped through the barn at Butlers, putting numerous lives at risk. The fire began during a showdown between Moira Dingle and Ruby Fox-Miligan.

Moira is in the grips of a health crisis, even though no one knows what’s wrong with her. But don’t get us started on that one.

When Ruby confronted Moira at Butlers she started to hear the voice of her old nemesis, Emma Barton. Freaked out, Moira fired her shotgun and hit a lightbulb, which caused a fire to ignite.

Moira and Ruby were trapped as the barn went up in flames. Mack and John rushed to the rescue and risked their own lives by entering the burning building. Cain and Chas were next to arrive at the scene along with Caleb and Will.

After John and Mack dragged Ruby out, Cain ran into the barn to save his wife. But then the whole place exploded and they hadn’t got out. As devastated Chas screams for her brother, will he and Moira survive the blast or is that the end for them?

2. The locals witness the devastation

In the aftermath of the explosion, there’s confusion and panic all around.

Locals gather at the scene of devastation and watch on in horror as the barn continues to burn. It’s not long before the emergency services arrive on the scene to help tend to the casualties.

3. Matty faces an agonising wait

Stood with the rest of the terrified villagers is Moira’s son, Matty.

He knows Moira was caught up in the inferno, but has no idea if she’s dead or alive. Matty has had to deal with terrible tragedy in his life. His father John was killed in a car crash and his sister Holly succumbed to a heroin overdose. Those Bartons are certainly a cursed clan.
