As Mandy Dingle gets ready to walk down the aisle with Paddy (again!), we recap her disastrous love life!

Mandy Dingle is about to tie the knot with Paddy Kirk, making it wedding number four for the bolshy beautician (though wedding three ended in disaster and no actual marriage), and the second time she’s married Paddy.

So with her – ahem – chequered history of marital bliss, will it be fourth time lucky for Ms Dingle? Or will her dabbling in findom camera work mean it’s not happily ever after?

We thought now would be a good time to take a look back at Mandy Dingle’s disastrous love life.

Paddy Kirk

When Mandy came to the village for the (very dramatic) wedding of her cousin Tina to Luke McAllister. She immediately hit it off with vet Paddy Kirk and they started a romance. But Paddy’s mum, Barbara, did NOT approve of Ms Dingle.

She tried to break up the couple and knowing the Dingle family had money troubles, Barbara eventually went as far as paying Mandy to marry her cousin Butch Dingle!

Butch had always secretly loved Mandy, so he was well up for their romance, but Mandy couldn’t hide her feelings for Paddy. They started an affair and Butch’s heart was broken. Aww!

Paddy Kirk (again!)

Once she’d broken up with Butch, Mandy rekindled her romance with Paddy and the pair walked down the aisle in a traditional Dingle wedding 25 years ago. They were happy for a while, but Mandy’s dad, Caleb, got sick and Mandy went to look after him.

While she was spending time with Caleb in Plymouth, Mandy began an affair with Caleb’s carer, Neil.

Paddy forgave her, but he eventually realised she’d only come back out of guilt and the pair broke up again. Mandy left the village.

She did return briefly to try to win Paddy back but realised he was happy with Emily Dingle – Butch’s widow – and left again.

Paul Ashdale

In 2019, Mandy came back to Emmerdale with adoptive son Vinny. At first viewers thought Vinny might be Paddy’s son, but it was revealed that he wasn’t even Mandy’s biological son – instead she had brought him up since he was tiny.

Vinny’s dad – and Mandy’s ex – Paul Ashdale arrived in the village and he and Mandy rekindled their romance.

Paul was a gambling addict, but he promised Mandy he’d stopped. However, that was just one of his many lies. He was also abusive and violent and son Vinny was the target.

Meanwhile, Mandy and Paul were planning a wedding. On their big day, Liv Flaherty found out the truth and confronted Paul in the barn where the wedding was taking place.

Paul lashed out at Liv, but just as he did, Jimmy King crashed his lorry into the barn. Paul was trapped in the wreckage and begged Liv to help – she forced him to confess to beating up Paul and then walked away.

When the barn exploded, Jimmy, Liv and Paul were injured. Paul died in hospital. Mandy was heartbroken – and even more devastated when she found out the truth about Paul.

After Jimmy crashed into the barn, his guilt was overwhelming and he turned to Mandy for support. She was there for him and they began to connect emotionally.

As Jimmy faced court over the accident, convinced he was going to prison, Mandy read out out statement to the judge supporting him. Jimmy was so grateful, he kissed Mandy.

Things didn’t go any further and Jimmy went back to Nicola with his tail between his legs. And although she gave him a hard time, she eventually forgave him.

Paddy Kirk (again, again!)

When Mandy first returned, Paddy was happily married to Chas Dingle. When they split due to Chas having an affair with Al Chapman, Paddy struggled with his mental health. Mandy supported him and eventually they got back together.

Now their second wedding – 25 years after the first – is coming up. But Mandy’s hiding her money troubles from her fiancÃ©, as well as not being entirely honest about how she’s earning enough to pay her bills!

So will the wedding go ahead? Only time will tell!

In Emmerdale spoilers for next week, Ella goes into meltdown after Mandy discovers she’s approaching a milestone birthday.

Mandy is desperate to spoil her friend and make it a day to remember. But the prospect of turning 30 is a scary one for Ella. She’s still haunted over killing her best friend when they were kids and wants to escape her past.

And when Mandy takes things too far, Ella explodes into a violent rage! But who, or what, is on the receiving end of her anger?

Mandy surprises Ella in Emmerdale spoilers

Mandy’s surprised to learn Ella’s got a birthday coming up â€“ and it’s a biggie. She’s about to turn 30, and has no plans to mark the special occasion.

That just won’t do in Mandy’s eyes and she starts plotting how to celebrate Ella entering a new decade. It’s been a particularly difficult past few weeks for Ella since she suffered a silent miscarriage. Which is even more reason for Mandy to want to put a smile on her face.

But what does she have in mind and will Ella approve?

Mandy’s mistake puts Ella at risk

As Ella’s 30th dawns, she’s stunned when Mandy surprises her with birthday wishes. Ella learns she’ll be having a birthday party later and Mandy is on hand to get her glammed up.

Mandy tells Ella she wants to treat her to a birthday makeover. This includes a luxury treatment with before and after photos. Naturally, Ella is anxious about this idea but decides to go along with it to make Mandy happy.

Mandy gets to work, carrying out the treatment and taking the snaps. Getting swept up in the moment, Mandy uploads the images to PampaManda socials without realising the potential danger of what she’s doing.

Angry Ella loses it!

Ella is incensed when she sees the pictures of herself plastered online. Because of her past, Ella has always been careful not to publicise her whereabouts. And now whoever sees it will know she’s living in Emmerdale. Basically it’s Ella’s worst nightmare realised.

Consumed with panic and self-loathing, Ella flips out and smashes her birthday cake! Liam witnesses the violent outburst and watches as his ex-girlfriend heads for the footbridge.

Concerned for her wellbeing, Liam approaches Ella and is able to calm her down. The pair talk things through and Liam offers to accompany Ella to her birthday bash.

But will there be another shock in store for her there?

Emmerdale spoilers – Ella’s outburst

1. Mandy spoils Ella

It’s Ella’s 30th birthday, but she doesn’t tell anyone. However, Mandy finds out and surprises her with birthday wishes. Ella’s taken aback and a little uncomfortable when Mandy offers her a full beauty makeover with before and after photos.

2. Ella flips

When Ella sees Mandy has splashed the photos all over the salon socials, she loses it.

Seeing Mandy with a birthday cake for her, Ella storms over and snatches it out of her hands. Ella smashes the cake to the floor and rushes off to the footbridge.

3. Liam steps in

Liam witnesses the outburst and follows Ella. He manages to calm her down. Liam says he will accompany her to the surprise party being thrown for her. Ella feels better when she realises the support she has and even tries to enjoy herself.

4. Gary arrives

Ella relaxes and is touched by Liam’s gift: a small star pendant. However, things take a turn when June’s nephew Gary arrives. He’s aggressive and confronts Ella, handing her a photo of Joanne. Shaken, a devastated Ella rushes out. But Gary follows her and fearful Ella falls to the ground in tears.

5. Ella attacks Wendy

Wendy rescues Ella and takes her away from looming Gary. He is full of grief and anger and unable to contain himself as he walks off. Wendy takes Ella to the surgery, but shaky Ella can’t calm down. Wendy is left stunned when Ella flips out and attacks her.

6. Laurel gets one over on Jai

Laurel has a suggestion for Gabby: She buy into the Hide. Gabby is excited by the idea and agrees. However, Jai is fuming when he finds out what’s happened.

7. Jai hits back with more lies

The mediator arrives for the session with Jai and Laurel. But he turns the tables and lies through his teeth that he’s in debt so he’s sold Holdgate and Tenants to pay them off. He therefore claims he has nothing to give Laurel in the divorce.

Jai later worries whether he’s done the right thing, but Caleb reassures him he owes Laurel nothing.

8. Will can’t get in touch with Kim

Dawn tells Will she’s going to report Rose missing to the police. Things get worse for Will when he tries to get in touch with Kim and she fails to answer. He fears they are definitely over.

9. Dawn gives Will awful news

Dawn then delivers awful news to Will: Evan needs a bone marrow transplant so she has to get in touch with Rose to see if she’s a match. In shock Will can’t believe they need to find Rose.

He digs out Rose’s phone and after failing to get hold of Kim again, Will composes a message to send from Rose’s phone.

Charity rushes Sarah out of the house and promises her a proper Dingle experience. They go joyriding in an open-topped car. But is the flash car stolen?

1. Bear overhears Mandy’s findom call

Mandy has been working as financial dominatrix Madame Diamante Dales to pay off her huge debts. Only pal Tracy is in the know about her side hustle, which Mandy has been keeping from fiancÃ© Paddy. But someone else, rather close to home, is about to learn the truth.

It’s the day of Mandy’s hen do, but before she can party she’s got a chat scheduled with her next findom client â€“ and a beard trim to do on Bear.

Knowing she can’t be in two places at once, Mandy’s passes over Bear’s appointment to Amelia. She then sneaks off to entertain her admirer in the back room.

But Mandy forgets to turn off her karaoke speakers, meaning Bear overhears every word of her saucy conversation.

2. Bear reels over Mandy’s betrayal

The sound of his future daughter-in-law flirting with another fella leaves Bear fuming. While not fully understanding the nature of what’s going on, Bear knows Mandy is lying to Paddy. And he’s very troubled by the betrayal â€“ particularly given the couple are set to marry within days!

When Mandy re-enters the salon, Bear struggles to compose himself. He makes a few barbed comments, which leave Mandy feeling uneasy. But will she realise that he’s on to her?

3. Will Bear tell Paddy the truth?

Returning home, Bear gets out his laptop and tries to educate himself about findom.
He wants to know what Mandy is up to, but then Paddy and Marlon interrupt him and it’s all rather awkward.

When the lads decide to throw Paddy an impromptu stag, Bear is left feeling conflicted. Should he keep quiet about what he knows? Or is Bear going to ruin Mandy’s dream wedding day by telling Paddy everything.

4. John shows Mack who’s boss

Now Mack decides it’s time to let his fists do the talking. He makes a swing for the newcomer, but is thwarted by John’s professional moves. This guy is ex-army after all!

Cain witnesses the tussle and intervenes before telling Mack he’s given John a job at Butlers whilst he’s in the village. How will Mack react to the news?

5. Victoria probes into John’s past

When news of John’s new job reaches Victoria she’s delighted her big brother is staying a little longer. Vic is desperate to get to know the sibling she never knew existed, even if the feeling isn’t mutual.

Meanwhile, Chas urges Aaron to open up to her about what’s going on between him and John. But will he spill the beans?

Later, the mystery surrounding John’s past deepens when Vic returns his army dog tags. She’s keen to know more about his days in the forces, but John is rattled by his sisterâ€™’ questions. What exactly is he hiding?

6. Nicola and Jimmy get an update on Angel

Also, Nicola and Jimmy receive a worrying call regarding Angelica.

The couple’s daughter is currently serving time in a Young Offender’s Institute for causing the car crash that killed Heath. And they receive the news they’ve been dreading when they learn Angel has been fighting with another inmate.

But who started the violent brawl? Has Angel’s time behind bars turned her into a thug?

Emmerdale tonight: John’s van is missing, Mandy’s findom is paying off and Noah is upset over Esther

Emmerdale tonight saw John Sugden left furious after discovering his van had been stolen. It didn’t take him long to figure out who was behind the stunt, having already made an enemy of Mackenzie during his brief time in the village.

Elsewhere, Mandy’s findomination work started to pay off and Noah was left devastated when Amelia insisted they need to cut all ties with one another.

Here’s everything that happened in Emmerdale on Monday August 12.

John was furious to find his van missing (Credit: ITV)

John’s van was stolen

Arriving at the garage in the morning, John was left furious as his van was nowhere to be seen. He approached Sarah and demanded she tell him where his van was, but Sarah had no idea. She suggested ringing the police, but John was not keen on the idea and insisted he could figure out who the thief was himself.

John soon came to the conclusion that Aaron had stolen his van and headed out trying to find him. At the cafe, John angrily confronted Mack and Aaron, with the pair eventually agreeing to take him to find his van. John lost his cool after he found his van in a lake, with Aaron and Mack continuing to taunt him and make jokes.

In the Woolpack, Victoria told Mack and Aaron that the van was actually John’s home, leaving the duo feeling very guilty. John later found Aaron alone and convinced him he’s still interested in him. When Aaron tried to go in for a kiss, John pulled away, leaving Aaron humiliated. Super awks…

Mandy gets hen do ready – and continues with her findom work in Emmerdale tonight

Tracy arrived at the salon to find Mandy mid-phone call, leading her to presume she was with a findom client. However, Mandy revealed she was actually chatting to a credit card company as she continues trying to settle her debts.Â Mandy happily told Tracy how she’d managed to clear one of her smaller credit card bills thanks to her new venture.Â Tracy was still concerned about Mandy taking on findomination work, despite Mandy reassuring her she had taken safety measures to mask her identity.

Later, Amelia headed to the salon to gift Mandy a karaoke set. She revealed she’d been busy planning Mandy a surprise hen do ahead of her wedding to Paddy. Mandy’s next client then called, prompting her to cancel Amelia’s shift at the salon and tell her to leave.

Paddy headed round to the salon to check on Mandy and after snooping on her laptop, he found out she’d booked a romantic boat trip in Venice for their honeymoon (nice for some!) The pair shared a special moment as they celebrated their upcoming nuptials.

Noah was left devastated

Chas gave Noah some advice in the Woolpack, telling him to speak to Amelia about being a part of Esther’s life going forward. Despite being unsure, Noah later sat down for a chat with Amelia.

Amelia told Noah that she didn’t think it would be a good idea if he is still a part of Esther’s life. She insisted they need to end things for good. Noah then broke down as Amelia left.

Also in Emmerdale tonight…

Jimmy and Nicola received a call to confirm the date of Angelica’s day release, leaving them delighted. Nicola then vowed to help Jimmy with his problems at the haulage yard. She then insisted Will should be doing more to help.

Jimmy later headed round to see Will and tell him the bad news about the contract. After a few tense words, Jimmy and Will ended up confiding in one another. Jimmy revealed he can’t stop thinking about Angel and confessed his worries about her being released. Will and Jimmy then spoke about their business and vowed to try everything to make it work going forward. Will they make a good team?

In Emmerdale spoilers for tonight John is on the warpath after Mack trashes his van. Out for revenge, John then leads Aaron on and cruelly rejects his advances.

Also in Emmerdale on Monday August 12, Tracy catches financial dominatrix Mandy in the act. And Noah is heartbroken when Amelia bans him from seeing Esther.

1. Mack teaches John a lesson

John Sugden has only been in the village five minutes, but he’s already made an enemy of Mack.

Determined to take cocky John down a peg or two, Mack vows to teach the newcomer a lesson. An idea soon forms while he’s busy fixing John’s broken down van. But what exactly does Mack have in mind?

2. John swears his revenge

Later, John is fuming to discover his van has been stolen from the garage. Aaron’s worried when it becomes clear Mack is responsible for the missing vehicle.

When the van is found half submerged in the lake, John is absolutely fuming. He knows that Mack was behind the act of vandalism and sees red.

As enraged John swears revenge, Victoria reveals the van was more than a set of wheels. It was actually her brother’s home. This leaves both Mack and Aaron feeling guilty as they realise they’ve taken things too far. Will John find a way to get his own back?

3. John leads Aaron on

On a mission to get even, John decides to toy with Aaron’s affections.

Aaron made it pretty clear he wanted more after their lusty encounter in the layby, so John decides to use this to his advantage. He turns on the charm and flirts with Aaron to make him think he’s interested. But it’s all just part of John’s latest game.

And when Aaron moves in for a kiss, the savage Sugden rejects him. But John better watch himself, because no one humiliates Aaron â€“ twice â€“ and gets away with it!

4. Mandy is in trouble with Tracy

Mandy gets what for from Tracy when her friend catches her in action as Madame Diamante Dales.

The broke salon owner has been masquerading as a financial dominatrix in a desperate bid to make money. But Tracy is appalled and points out the potential dangers of Mandy’s side hustle.

Mandy tries to placate Tracy by explaining the safety measures she’s taking.

But will Tracy be convinced? Or is she going to tell Paddy what his bride-to-be is doing?

5. Madame Diamante Dales is back in action

Mandy’s attention briefly turns back to her upcoming wedding when Amelia announces she’s organised a surprise hen do. The excited teen also gifts her boss with a Karaoke headset.

But Mandy’s soon back in money-making mode when she gets into character to engage with a new client.

6. Thereâ€™s heartbreak for Noah

Elsewhere, Noah is still down in the dumps over his split from Amelia. She called time on their relationship after discovering he was the one who shopped Samson to the police.

But even though they’re finished, Noah still wants to be part of little Esther’s life. He pleads with his ex to let him carry on seeing her. But Amelia doesn’t think it’s a good idea and tells Noah he can’t be around her daughter any more.

Noah is left heartbroken. Can he find a way to change Amelia’s mind?

1. John is making waves in Emmerdale

John Sugden is a man who knows how to make an entrance. First he has a roadside romp with Aaron and robs him blind. Then he unveils himself as the love child of Emmerdale legend, Jack Sugden.

Yes, it’s been a busy week for the handsome newcomer. And it seems there’s plenty more drama to come.

But while Victoria is hopeful her sibling will stick about in the village, it’s not a feeling shared by Aaron â€“ or Mack!

2. John makes an enemy of Mack

John remains trapped at Barton and Dingle Automotives as he waits for his broken down van to be repaired. And it’s clear he’s not here to engage in friendly chit chat.

Tensions are already high between John and Aaron, who’s still raging over the humiliating theft. But will John show any remorse? Early indications suggest not.

Meanwhile, Mack takes an instant dislike to John’s standoffish behaviour. And he’s definitely someone you don’t want to make an enemy of. Could this be the start of a fresh rivalry in the Dales?

3. Mandy transforms into a financial dominatrix

Mandy decides there’s only one way to fix her cashflow crisis, and that’s by becoming a sex worker! We’re not talking turning tricks, rather the practise of findom â€“ aka financial domination.

After getting the low down on what being a financial dominatrix entails, Mandy decides she’ll give it a whirl. Tracy reckons it’s a crazy idea, but Mandy’s got a honeymoon to pay for. Desperate times call for desperate measures and all that.

Mandy sets herself up an online profile and slips on a masquerade mask as disguise. The transformation is complete â€“ say hello to Mand’s new alter ego, Madame Diamante Dales.

Later, she logs online, hoping to find admirers who will lavish her enough money to solve her problems. Will the risky move pay off?

Jimmy’s bad luck continues when he’s hit with a whopping fine.

The King’s latest crisis occurs after an inspector arrives at Home James Haulage to do a spot check on the vehicles. Unfortunately the lorries don’t meet the expected standard and horrified Jimmy is fined thousands.

How will he explain this to business partner Will Taylor? And will Jimmy be able to find the money to pay it off?

What on earth is a financial dominatrix and how will it help Mandy with her money troubles?

Months of slow business at PampaManda have left Mandy firmly in the red. She has maxed out several credit cards and got people on her case.

Mandy tried various ways to make the cash back â€“ including defrauding her own friends. But none of that has worked – quelle surprise!

Mandy’s latest money-making scheme has seen her transform into financial dominatrix, Miss Diamante Dales. Concealing her identity with a blue masquerade mask, Mandy has been using her charms to entice online admirers.

There is also a financial benefit to the flirting, and Mandy hopes to raise enough to settle her debts so that Paddy will be none the wiser.

But what actually is financial domination, also known as findom? Is Mandy’s saucy side hustle actually going to pay off? And can she make a decent living out of it? We have all the answers here.

What is financial domination?

Financial domination is a fetish lifestyle of dominance and submission. It’s whereby a financially submissive individual desires to give money or gifts to a financial dominant (findom).

Participants can be of any gender, but the dominant is often a woman and the submissive is likely to be a man. These male admirers will lavish their financial dominatrixes with expensive items and seemingly want nothing in return. For them, it’s all about surrendering power and feeling as if they are being controlled. It’s a form of escapism in a money centric world.

1. Mandy tries to scam Tracy

Mandy’s honeymoon is on her mind, meaning her finances are worrying her more than ever.

She later welcomes Tracy to the salon and secretly attempts to apply a Â£20 surcharge to the cost of Tracy’s nail appointment.

2. Mandy confides in Tracy

Tracy is taken aback by Mandy’s attempt to scam money out of her at the salon. However, the pair get chatting and eventually Mandy opens up.

She tells Tracy she in serious debt, but insists she cannot come clean about her finances to Paddy.

Kim informs Will she’s going to Dubai on a business trip tonight. Will is hurt to know she’d rather be anywhere than with him. But will distance make the heart grow fonder?

The sound of his future daughter-in-law exchanging smut with a person, who’s not his son, comes as a real shock. Bear struggles to compose himself and is clearly troubled by Mandy’s betrayal.

There’s awkwardness in the air when Mandy re-enters the room. Bear makes a few barbed comments, which leave Mandy feeling on edge. But will she realise he’s rumbled her secret?

Returning home, Bear starts reading up on findom in a bid to understand what Mandy is up to. But as Marlon decides to throw Paddy an impromptu stag, Bear is torn whether to keep quiet.

Needing proof, the canny OAP poses as a client and makes contact with Madame Diamante Dales â€“ who’s only too willing to offer her services.

Seeing red, Bear goes to Paddy and lets him know everything! Mandy’s shameful secret is exposed and Paddy is left reeling. But with just hours until they say I do, will Paddy break Mandy’s heart by calling the wedding off?
