Billy and Dawn’s marriage is in crisis in Emmerdale spoilers

We’ve said it for ages but Billy and Dawn just aren’t right for one another. Their marriage ran out of steam a long time ago and it was little surprise when Dawn embarked on an affair with Joe.

Billy can’t see what’s been going on right under his nose, but maybe because his mind hasn’t totally been focused on his wife. In fact another local lady seems to have caught his eye – village doctor, Manpreet.

There was a flirtation between the pair last year, but since then nothing. But old feelings resurface when Manpreet drops Billy back at Home Farm and they share a charged moment. Will Billy cross the line?

Billy wrestles with his guilt

Afterwards, Billy walks into Home Farm and is met by Dawn. She’s in a foul mood after being rejected by Joe, and he’s guilt-ridden over his encounter with Manpreet.

Billy’s still feeling awkward when he sees Manpreet the next day. And soon his conscience ends up getting the better of him as he drops a bombshell on Dawn. But it isn’t about Manpreet, it’s in relation to another lady.

Billy stuns his wife by admitting he’s been exchanging saucy messages with a woman online. Yikes! We didn’t expect that at all!

Dawn is in distress over Billy’s betrayal in Emmerdale spoilers

The Dawn of old would have shown Billy the door after that kind of a confession, but she choses to forgive her husband’s indiscretion.Â

Billy is shocked and grateful at Dawn being so understanding, but still has no idea she’s been up to much worse with Joe.

Afterwards, Dawn is left in a state of turmoil as she tries to figure out where to go from here. Will Billy’s confession prompt Dawn to admit her own dirty secret?

New fan theory suggests that former character is back and behind Manpreet blackmail just months after exit

A new Emmerdale fan theory has ‘worked out’ who is behind the Manpreet blackmail messages – and it’s a familiar face.

Manpreet’s been receiving some alarming texts recently, admitting to Ella that someone is threatening to expose her ‘dirty’ secret.

But, could the person responsible be a former Emmerdale resident? A new theory suggests so.

Emmerdale: Manpreet’s blackmail ordeal

A flashback to the day of the limo crash recently revealed that Leyla had walked in on Manpreet and found out her huge secret. ‘It’s always the quiet ones…’

After Leyla’s death, Manpreet started receiving blackmail messages threatening to expose her secret. Yes, another soap mystery, surprise, surprise.

Manpreet then confided in Ella that she’d started posting explicit photos of herself online. It helped her feel some level of confidence after her break-up with Charles. We’re not sure Ella’s the best person to trust with a secret like this…

Manpreet feared that if it got out, her whole medical license could be stripped from her (no pun intended.) Hindsight is a wonderful thing, Manpreet.

Now, the blackmailer has downloaded all of Manpreet’s photos despite her deactivating her online profile. If she goes to the police, her secret will get out. Ouch.

Theory: Wendy blackmailing Manpreet?

In January, Wendy Posner left the village with her head hung low, following the huge betrayal of Ella Forster.

She’d dobbed her whole history into the paper for a fee after first betraying Rhona by sharing her information with a journalist and suggesting that April might’ve gone missing due to her past history.

The truth came out, and Wendy left the village after being ushered out by practically everyone. Manpreet and Liam both couldn’t keep Wendy on following the betrayal, asking her to leave.

They’d initially turned a blind eye to the whole ‘fake nurse’ thing, but it became clear that Wendy couldn’t keep her job at the surgery.

Now though, remembering how Wendy loved to spill everyone’s secrets, a new theory suggests that Wendy could be getting revenge for the loss of her job by blackmailing Manpreet, dragging her down with her.

A fan on X suggested: “Manpreet’s blackmailer could be Wendy.”

But, could we soon see the return of Wendy just months after her departure from the soap?

Emmerdale viewers â€˜work outâ€™ who is targeting Manpreet after new â€˜cluesâ€™

Someone in Emmerdale has been targeting Manpreet over the images she has been using online, and the only person she has turned to is Ella.

And after the last few episodes, viewers are convinced they have worked out exactly who is behind the messages. But, it’s bad news for Manpreet.

It seems many suspect that her close pal Ella isn’t being as friendly as Manpreet may think. Right now, she is viewers’ main suspect in the blackmailing case. And they have the evidence to back it up.

Is Ella blackmailing Manpreet in Emmerdale?

Ever since she came to the village fans have wanted more from Ella. When we heard about her past as a murderer, viewers thought the show was going to go down the route of psycho Ella.

Then when Liam got with Chas, many suspected that may bring out her crazy side. But again, it didn’t.

Months then passed, and nothing ever came from it. So perhaps all that time Ella was actually just sitting waiting for her perfect opportunity.

Taking to X, a fan proposed the idea that Ella is the one behind the whole thing – to get revenge on Liam.

They wrote: “I think Manpreet’s blackmailer is Ella. I know she would be the obvious choice, but she is leaving. And I think it’s because she is still hurt over Liam and Chas. So, she ultimately wants to destroy the practice so he suffers.”

Other than Ella being the one Manpreet chose to open up to, she also is conveniently always around. And so, she has the perfect opportunities.

Another penned on X: “I still think it’s Ella blackmailing Manpreet. Who else could it be?”

A third user commented: “Ella definitely has something to do with this blackmailing. She is always the one finding things.”

What would this mean for Ella?

If it comes out that she is the blackmailer, then she can kiss goodbye to her job at the surgery. And without her job, she doesn’t have any other involvement in the village.

A while back it was reported that Paula Lane was leaving the role of Ella after one year.

The news first came after Paula put on her own Talent Spotlight page that she would finish filming Emmerdale in February.

So, if that timeline has stayed correct, that would mean we’re very close to Ella’s exit – even though some already thought she had left with her lack of appearances.

The theory of Ella being the blackmailer seems to be strong, especially as it provides her an exit storyline. But whether or not it is true, viewers have to just wait and see.

What happened in Emmerdale on Friday March 7: Manpreet opened up and Jacob broke up with Sarah

In Emmerdale Friday March 7, Manpreet finally revealed exactly what her huge secret is to Ella, but things only got worse. And when Sarah went to tell Jacob about her pregnancy, things did not go well at all.

Elsewhere Dylan was struggling with withdrawal symptoms and lashed out at April just as Marlon walked in.

And Tracy’s money problems continued to grow as she keeps stealing from Eric.

Manpreet reveals all in Emmerdale Friday March 7

Clearly on edge because of the text messages she has been receiving, she decided to block the number. However, this didn’t help as she soon got another one informing her that they “are not going anywhere”. It didn’t take long for Ella to work out something was going on – and Manpreet finally opened up.

She revealed that she began posting photos of herself to her social media after she and Charles broke up because she felt rejected. But when a follower suggested she got a subscription account, it became something bigger.

Now, with the messages, Manpreet is realising her career may be in complete jeopardy. And no matter how much Ella tried to reassure her, the doc wasn’t convinced. Ella then told her to delete her account – which she did.

But immediately after she got another message: “Deleting your profile won’t make a difference”. As it turns out, the blackmailer has taken screenshots of all of Manpreet’s content. Another message came in: “One word to the police and everyone will know your secret. I will be in touch.” Who is sending the messages?

Sarah confides in Charity

Charity was on her way out but quickly realised something was wrong with Sarah, who stunned her by admitting she was pregnant. She headed out to meet with Jacob but before she got the chance to tell him the news, he broke up with her.

Again, his reasoning was that he didn’t want to lose anyone else, and there was no changing his mind. Sarah returned home clearly upset and told Charity the situation.

She reminded her that Sarah will have all of the Dingles to support her no matter what she decides to do. But Sarah’s mind was already made up – she wants the baby.

Marlon gets frustrated as Dylan struggles

Clearly in withdrawal from the drugs, Dylan starts to lash out at April who is trying to help him. And he does it just as Marlon walks in (bad timing!). Dylan heads out and Marlon tells April that she can’t be the one to help him get clean and that he needs professional help. But April is adamant that her experience on the streets makes her the best person to help.

She even flips the situation asking Marlon what he would like to happen if it was her in that situation. While Marlon eases up on her, he heads to meet Ross (new best friends?). Ross instantly is on Marlon’s side and tells him they need to do something to get through to April.

It’s Vanessa’s birthday and she is missing Suzy. And when she continues to turn to Mary for support, Mary keeps her and Suzy’s secret quiet. But clearly with a guilty conscious, she decides to host small birthday celebrations for her.

Tracy can’t afford to contribute as viewers found out last night that she is stealing from the shop. And despite promising Leyla that she would stop, Tracy once again gives in.

When Victoria arrives, stopping her from telling Eric the truth, she suggests Frankie joins Harry for swimming lessons. And later signs her up with a deposit, leaving Tracy anxious about how she will pay for it.

In Emmerdale spoilers for Friday March 7, Manpreet continues to harbour a secret â€“ but someone has discovered the truth.

Elsewhere, Marlon and Ross are not fans of Dylan, but what will they do about him?

Manpreet’s secret is a burden

During a flashback scene in Thursday’s episode, it was revealed that Leyla discovered Manpreet’s secret.

In the scene, which took place on the day of the limo crash, Leyla walked in to Manpreet’s office to see her on her laptop. While viewers didn’t see what was on the screen, Leyla was visibly shocked at what she’d seen and exclaimed: “Is that you?”

Then, at the end of the episode, Manpreet received a message from someone claiming to know her dirty secret. Given Leyla died, who could this mystery person be?

On Friday March 7, with the message on her mind, Manpreet is burdened by the secret she’s carrying, but will the mystery person reveal themself?

Ross and Marlon aren’t fans of Dylan

Dylan arrived in the village this week after being invited by April Windsor. Upon his arrival, Ross promptly wrestled him to the ground.

Meanwhile, Marlon wasn’t thrilled to see Dylan either, but decided to let him stay to appease his daughter.

On Friday March 7, Marlon and Ross are on the same side as they worry about Dylan’s influence on April.

Before the funerals in Thursday’s episode, Sarah Sugden did a pregnancy test.

It was later revealed that the test was positive. However, she was unable to talk to Jacob about the situation as he was understandably busy with his mum’s funeral.

Tonight’s episode of Emmerdale (Friday, March 7 – streaming now on ITVX) reveals what exactly Manpreet Sharma has been hiding. As her blackmail continues, she reveals to Ella that she’s been posting intimate pictures of herself online.

Feeling miserable after her split from Charles, Manpreet boosted her confidence by posting pictures to her social media. After one of her followers suggested she open a subscription site, Manpreet took things to the next level. She’d felt validated and empowered at first – but things took a darker turn when someone began texting, claiming to know her secret.

Manpreet’s blackmail continues in Emmerdale spoilers tonight

She and Ella delete the profile, but that doesn’t make a difference to her blackmailer – who texts immediately, sending screenshots of the pics to her mobile, along with the threatening message ‘ONE WORD TO THE POLICE AND EVERYONE WILL KNOW YOUR SECRET.’

This came as the mystery third party continued to text her menacing messages, all claiming to know her ‘dirty little secret.’ As last night’s episode revealed, Leyla knew what Manpreet had been up to – having walked in on her at her computer in the surgery. But with Leyla dead, she’s not on the list of suspects.

But who’s blackmailing Manpreet – and what might this mean for her, professionally speaking?

What does Manpreet’s secret mean for her career?

As she shares her worries with Ella tonight, Manpreet stresses about the damage scandal might do to her career.

“Imagine if it gets out online, in the local newspaper, all about the dodgy doc who gets her kit off. I can kiss any hero status goodbye,” she tells Ella.

“I have a reputation to protect and patients to look after,” she continues.

And that’s not to mention the risk to her job. Fearing that the medical board would deem her risquÃ© online activities ‘inappropriate,’ she may be at very real risk of losing her job.

As Manpreet’s confidante, Ella is there in her time of need. But, with actress Paula Lane set to leave the soap over the coming weeks, she likely has a big story beckoning before she goes.

A big twist to the tale would be that it’s Ella behind Manpreet’s torment. Impressive work, given that the texts were still coming in as she sat with Manpreet, but whoever it was did catch on to the profile being deleted awfully fast…

Could it be Billy?

Another suspect could be Billy, who Emmerdale spoilers for next week reveal begins to show an interest in Manpreet after starting to feel rejected by Dawn.

Billy and Manpreet have history, after she attempted to kiss him last year during a drunken fumble. Both parties seemed to move on, but with Billy increasingly sidelined by Dawn’s new man, might he take out his frustrations on poor Manpreet?

As it is, an early fan theory emerged suggesting that the texts could be from someone onto a ‘secret romance’ between Manpreet and Billy. Consider that theory debunked, but is Billy involved in her blackmail?

Wishful thinking, this one, but fans have been holding out for a return from Manpreet’s sister, the murderous Meena Jutla. With all that time on her hands in prison, could Meena have stumbled across Manpreet’s online activities and begun blackmailing her?

An unlikely prospect, perhaps, but a quite delicious one regardless.

Mary, Tracy and Manpreet’s secrets ‘exposed’ – everything we know about what comes next

Tonight’s episode of Emmerdale (Thursday, March 6) revealed that Tracy, Mary and Manpreet have all been hiding some pretty big secrets from their family and friends. As a series of flashbacks exposed three secrets Leyla had taken to her grave, viewers learned what exactly the three villagers had been hiding.

In the first flashback, Leyla caught Tracy red-handing stealing money from Pollard’s shop. As she confronted her, Tracy admitted that she’d had no child support money from Nate (not surprising, given he’s currently dead at the bottom of a lake) and that she’d stolen Â£2k worth of takings from Pollard to make ends meet.

Then, in the second, she walked in to find Mary and Suzy kissing. Suzy had just admitted her feelings to Mary, and was planning on dumping Vanessa so that they can be together.

And, in the third, Leyla found Manpreet in front of her computer at work. Seeing what was on the screen, she realised that Manpreet had quite the online presence. And, in the present day, a mystery message showed that someone else knows too…

But what happens next?

What happens next as the secrets of Mary, Tracy and Manpreet are revealed

While Leyla has taken these secrets to her grave, it’s unlikely that they’ll stay buried for long. And with Mary still pining for lost love Suzy – while also attempting to support Vanessa – how long can she keep quiet about the true nature of their relationship?

Emmerdale spoilers for next week haven’t said whether she continues to keep quiet, but with Suzy’s funeral still to come, she may yet be tested as emotions continue to build.

Meanwhile, with Manpreet receiving threatening messages claiming to know what she’s been up to, she too will have to work to keep her secret hidden.

And, Nate still being very dead, Tracy’s money situation will surely only worsen. And with Leyla now silenced, will she be tempted to continue stealing from Pollard?

Is Manpreet being ‘targeted’ over secret romance with Billy? All the theories

Someone mysterious is messaging Manpreet in Emmerdale and she’s acting really guarded over it – here are all the theories.

She’s clearly keeping something a secret… but, it’s unclear who exactly is behind the messages.

We’ve compiled a list of all the possible theories.

1. Billy romance

Last year, fans may remember the rather cringe moment where Manpreet was super smitten with Billy.

This unrequited love led her to fancy the pants off of him during her PT sessions, soon making a pass at him when her relationship with Charles was in choppy waters.

At the time, Billy remained loyal to Dawn and even told her about Manpreet’s pass at him. But, now, Billy and Dawn aren’t as close as they used to be…

It’s possible that Manpreet and Billy are now having a secret affair and that Manpreet finally got her guy.

One fan shared: “Itâ€™s big Billy, sheâ€™s been getting it on with him at Boxercise.”

Manpreet recently reported Cain for carrying out late night work at the garage, unaware that John and Aaron were actually inside, stripping down Anthony’s car.

With Manpreet taking it upon herself to be on ‘neighbourhood watch patrol,’ the Anthony murder club could be worried.

One theory that always spring to mind whenever Manpreet does anything ever for fans is Meena Jutla.

Fans are constantly hoping for a Meena return despite her being sentenced to 75 years in prison, with one theory suggesting that she could be contacting her sister on the phone.

It’s possible that Manpreet is trying to move on after Charles and has set herself up on an online dating website.

She could be slightly embarrassed by the situation or perhaps has matched with someone she knows…

One person on Reddit wondered: “Iâ€™m sure I saw a spoiler that suggests sheâ€™s set up an online dating profile. Sheâ€™s a professional woman so that could be something she wouldnâ€™t want people to know about.”

Joe Tate is very clearly keeping some major secrets and fans reckon he’s in desperate need of a transplant to save his life.

Now one fan theory has linked Joe’s storyline with Manpreet’s mystery messages and reckon Joe’s after the help of the local doctor to give him what he needs.

As fans predict Meena is messaging Manpreet, Paige Sandhu has bad news about an Emmerdale return

For two years Meena Jutla terrorised Emmerdale village killing off many of its residents. But she was finally caught and sent to prison – however some viewers think she might be on her way back.

With Manpreet receiving mysterious messages that she’s keeping very quiet about, there is speculation it could be her imprisoned sister Meena behind the texts.

Manpreet getting mystery messages in Emmerdale

Last night (Monday February 24) Manpreet was getting messages to her phone. She was very secretive about them and claimed it was patient confidentiality. But something told us she wasn’t being truthful.

Next week, the messages are still appearing. And when Liam picks up Manpreet’s phone by accident, she reacts strangely. Chas is suspicious, but just what is Manpreet hiding?

Well, some fans are convinced they definitely know and are sure it’s Meena.

“Wonder who the mystery person texting Manpreet was – maybe her daughter Aiesha or even Meena from prison,” mused one on social media.Â

Another wasn’t so keen on the idea: “Oh no – please don’t go down the Meena road again!”

“If Meena has escaped and does return to the show, I will definitely be watching I loved Meena,” shared a third.Â

A fourth agreed: “John is a serial killer. My God, it would be delicious to have Meena back in the Village, too.”

Is Meena Jutla returning to Emmerdale?

Emmerdale has said nothing at all about a comeback for the serial killer.

Paige gave hope for a return in June 2022, months after Meena’s exit. She spoke to OK! as the soap was gearing up for it’s 50th anniversary in October of that year.

She revealed: “You know what, never say never, anything goes in Emmerdale, especially for the 50th.

“It’s going to be the biggest and best year yet. In the past, historically, Emmerdale has broken other prisoners out of jail so it could happen,” she teased. “But we’ll see.”

However, despite her enthusiasm, just months later, she ruled out a return completely. Speaking to Digital Spy in October 2022, Paige said: “I have been asked about it a lot and it’s so lovely! I’m surprised that many people remember me, to be honest, because it’s been ages since I’ve been on.”

However she then said the one thing fans didn’t want to hear: “No, it’s not a possibility and it won’t be a possibility. I’ve loved playing her and I’ve loved working at Emmerdale, but I feel like the story came to an end.

“I mean, we did do everything, didn’t we? We went for it! I feel like to come back would be over-egging the story.”

What has Paige said recently about a return to Emmerdale for Meena?

Her last comments about a potential comeback were in 2022. Three years have passed and Paige has remained silent on the subject. So could she have changed her mind?

She is currently filming a movie about the Suffragette movement called Lioness. Paige plays Princess Sophia Duleep Singh, granddaughter of the Lion of Punjab, youngest daughter of the deposed Maharajah Duleep and Queen Victoria’s Goddaughter.

She described the role as “A dream come true” when announcing it on her Instagram last year.

Emmerdale follow-up: Who was Manpreet messaging? All the theories from Bob to Meena

In Monday’s episode of Emmerdale (Monday, February 24), Manpreet Sharma played coy after receiving messages on her phone. But who is she texting?

While waiting for the vigil for the limo crash victims to begin, Manpreet’s phone beeped with a message. When she got her phone out, she hid the screen from Paddy, who was sitting next to her.

Upon seeing Paddy’s curiosity, Manpreet claimed that she couldn’t show him the message because of patient confidentiality.

Here we take a look at who she really could have been messaging.

Emmerdale: Is Manpreet messaging Bob?

Last month, fans predicted a romance for Bob and Manpreet after spotting chemistry between the pair.

Bob had been struggling with the anniversary of his son Heath’s death and the delivery of a headstone for his grave. His confused mind resulted in him trying to kiss Brenda.

Bob opened up to Manpreet as she tried her best to help him. Could their friendship have developed into something more? And could the messages Manpreet is receiving be flirty ones from Bob?

The return of Meena?

Meena Jutla was a fan favourite during her time in the Dales. The popular villain murdered several Emmerdale residents including Leanna Cavanagh, Andrea Tate and Ben Tucker.

Meena tried to blame her sister Manpreet for Andrea’s death, but it didn’t work and she was eventually sentenced to life in prison.

During an episode of Emmerdale last month, Manpreet mentioned Meena, causing fans to get excited about a potential return. Could Manpreet be in touch with her sister?

Emmerdale: Manpreet messaging John?

John Sugden has aroused suspicion since arriving in Emmerdale last year due to his shifty behaviour.

Fans think John could be hiding his true identity from boyfriend Aaron Dingle, while he’s also suspected of killing Nate.

Could Manpreet have discovered something about John and be messaging someone about him? Or perhaps she’s messaging John himself?

Could Manpreet be messaging Joe?

Another character shrouded in mystery is Joe Tate. Since arriving back in Emmerdale on Christmas Eve, he has been hiding some health struggles.

He’s also been desperate to get Noah to travel to Dubai. When this didn’t work, Noah was drugged and taken to a private hospital.

Now fans suspect that Manpreet is involved and was the one to supply the drugs to Joe. Could Manpreet be messaging Joe in order to try and cover up her mistake?
