Emmerdale tonight saw the DNA results arrived, but Ruby didn’t get the chance to read them before Caleb came home. And speaking of Caleb, his behaviour was seriously below par tonight and he needs to pull his socks up.

Elsewhere, Joe let Noah down, but it’s clear he’s plotting something – and we have our suspicions over what.

Ruby’s results arrived in Emmerdale tonight

Ruby was worried about her relationship with Steph, and Caleb encouraged her to make an effort with Anthony to impress Steph – and make everyone’s lives easier. Caleb told her to get over it. Here’s a tip, Caleb, notice how distressed your wife is over her dad and find out if there’s more to it.

Caleb went to the hospital and confided in Cain how irritated her was by Ruby. He whinged how she was being so difficult and seems firmly Team Anthony.

We can tell you one thing, we are absolutely not Team Caleb right now, that’s for sure (although obviously we desperately want him to be the dad).

Ruby later got the DNA results delivered, but Caleb arrived home before she could read them. He actually apologised for pushing her to forgive Anthony. Still not impressed with you, Caleb, apology or not.

Joe was plotting in Emmerdale tonight

Joe let Noah down over the Leeds tickets after Ross’ warning. Noah was disappointed. Charity was not disappointed.

Kim was also disappointed in Joe’s behaviour and wanted to know what was going on. Joe gave her some guff about being strategic and she told him she was impressed. Joe then commented he is “pretty sure I’ll get what I want” before he popped some more pills. Is what he wants one of Noah’s organs to save his life?

Marlon teamed up with Ross

Hitting the streets of Leeds again, Marlon was handing out more flyers. Rhona meanwhile was struggling. She wants to know who gave the Hotten Courier the inside scoop on her past. She wondered if it was Vanessa.

Rhona admitted she was angry with April for putting them through this. Vanessa encouraged her to offload her troubles and get some sleep.

Out in Leeds, Marlon chased a girl down and pushed the man she was with over. It wasn’t April and then he saw the bloke was Ross. Ross confessed he had been looking for April every day. Marlon was not happy about it because he blamed Ross for April running away. However the men buried the hatchet and decided to search for her together. But it was soon clear they had a mountain to climb.

Wendy’s the blabbermouth

Wendy looked very suspicious as she heard Ella and Vanessa discussing the Rhona article. Later Wendy was cornered by the journalist in the pub – she’s the one who’s revealed the info. Apparently it was just a chat and the journo has twisted things.

And now the journalist is blackmailing her, threatening to write about Wendy’s own past in order to get herself a story. Wendy has to bring her another story to stop it happening. So who will she turn on next?

Also in Emmerdale tonight…

Moira was brushing her lucisious locks and knocked her surgery scar, it made her realise what she’s got to face ahead. Cain promised to support her. However, it was clear Moira was worried about the radiotherapy, asking if she might turn into the Hulk.

Back at home after the treatment Cain wrapped her up in cotton wool (aka a duvet) and looked after her, but something didn’t feel right to Moira – is she on to his deceit?

4 Emmerdale spoilers for tonight: Marlon looks for April in Leeds and Ruby receives the DNA results

In Emmerdale spoilers tonight, Marlon searches Leeds for missing daughter April, but is shocked when he comes face-to-face with Ross Barton.

Marlon searches for April

After seeing CCTV footage of missing April on a street in central Leeds, Marlon heads to the city to see if he can track her down.

Once in Leeds, a desperate Marlon tries to engage with passers by. He sees a girl who looks like April from a distance and rushes over to her.

He is soon shocked to come face-to-face with Ross. What is he doing there? After an altercation between the two men, Ross tries to help Marlon. He does his best to buoy Marlon up and keep up his hopes of finding April alive. However, Marlon feels overwhelmed at the task â€“ knowing he is surrounded by reminders that April is just one of hundreds of thousands of missing people.

Joe breaks his promise to Noah in Emmerdale tonight

During Monday’s episode, Joe Tate tried to build bridges with half-brother Noah and offered to take him VIP style to a Leeds football match.

However, Charity Dingle didn’t like the idea of Joe being back in her son’s life, so encouraged Ross to have a word with Joe. Ross’s warning worked and tonight Joe backs out of taking Noah to the footy.

Noah is disappointed and can’t hide his hurt. Charity, however, is delighted that Ross’s intervention had the desired effect.

Ruby receives the DNA test results

Ruby recently decided to get a DNA test in order to determine if Caleb or her abusive father is Steph’s father.

Tonight, she returns home clutching the DNA test results, anxious over what they will reveal.

However, she doesn’t get a chance to look as Caleb soon returns home, so she stuffs the results in to her handbag.

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Marlon despaired as Rhona’s past came back to haunt her

In Emmerdale tonight, Marlon Dingle despaired as the local newspapers dredged up ghosts from Rhona’s past amid the disappearance of April. As her painkiller addiction and baby kidnapping hit the headlines, Marlon’s fears that April might be dead only grew.

Elsewhere, as a guilty Dawn tried to avoid Joe, he attempted to build bridges with Noah – only for an angry Ross to try and warn him off. Meanwhile, Cain and the boys gave Moira some much-needed support, and Anthony had his algebra lesson with Angelica.

Marlon despaired in Emmerdale tonight

As the episode began, Marlon had a vivid dream of April’s death, picturing himself running through the woods, where police had found her body. He woke up in a state, having slept on the sofa to guard for any more intruders.

As Mary rallied the troops, Marlon was frustrated that everyone else seemed to be getting back to normal. Vanessa had some more bad news for the family – popping around, she showed the family a Hotten Courier article dredging up Rhona’s past, her painkiller addiction and the whole kidnapping baby Ivy thing.

At The Woolpack, Marlon wallowed in the worst of the comments. Mary’s fears that April might be dead left him even more upset and angry, and he lashed out – publicly screaming at Mary and the others for having given up.

Out back, he confided in Rhona about his nightmare – and his fears that Mary might be right. Instead, a visit from case worker Anna had good news – CCTV footage had spitted April on the streets of Leeds, very much alive and well.

Joe’s sick, and Ross passed on a message

Marlon wasn’t the only one who had a bad night’s sleep – Joe Tate awoke, immediately downing a handful of pills to manage his mystery illness.

He paid visit to Noah, hoping to make amends for badmouthing the Dingles. Trying to get into his half-brother’s good books, he offered to put in a good word with a mate to score them both some VIP tickets to a Leeds match.

Just then, a bickering Charity and Ross walked in. Charity was less than happy to see Joe hanging around, and quickly gave him his marching orders. Ross, meanwhile, was even less pleased to see the man he held responsible for his acid attack.

With Joe gone, Charity tried to bar Noah from seeing his half-sibling – but this only succeeded in helping Noah over to Joe’s side. Charity bonded with Ross over her distaste for Joe – telling him she’d put in a good word with Moses if he passed on a ‘message.’

Sneaking onto Home Farm, Ross confronted Joe with the ‘receipts’ – warning him that he’d be a dead man if he went near Noah again. Will Joe get the message?

Dawn felt guilty as Joe swaggered about

At Home Farm, Dawn tried to hide her guilty conscience from Billy. Not easy when the man she locked lips with is living under the same roof. As she kissed her husband goodbye, Joe accused her of ‘overcompensating’ and feeling jealous about his other exploits.

Moira spent the day with her family

Moira was in a rush to complete the household work before radiotherapy tomorrow. A nervous Moira faced questioning from the kids while Cain dished out the chores to an annoyed Matty.

Looking to do something nice with the boys, Moira promised to take them out to the climbing wall. As the family left, Cain spotted Kyle thieving cash from the family funds jar. What is the lad up to?

Later, in the cafe, Cain stood by Moira, pledging to stick by her throughout her procedure. Later, he also covered for Kyle when she discovered the money missing from the jar.

At least the money had been put to a good cause – and, as Kyle arrived home, he handed over a gift to Moira from him and Isaac; a special moisturizer for radiotherapy patients.

“Knowing that I’ve got you three by my side, I think I can cope with anything,” a loved-up Moira swooned. Cue the guilty looks from Cain.

Anthony got his feet under Nicola’s table on Emmerdale tonight

As news about Rhona’s past began to spread, Nicola was quick to point out to Anthony that the article’s claims were all true. “What happened in the past should stay there,” she said, charitably. Anthony would no doubt agree.

Following his lesson with Angelica, he was full of praise, describing her as a model student. Thrilled by her daughter’s progress, Nicola told him he’d have to come around for some of her, uh, lamb and date tagine. Pardon us – for once, Anthony isn’t the only thing turning our stomach.

1. The hunt for April continues

Marlon has a horrific dream that his missing daughter April is dead, leaving him shaken. However, he covers up his upset to Rhona.

Meanwhile, Vanessa shows Marlon an article on the Hotten Courier website. It’s traumatic for Rhona when she discovers they have dredged up her past and used it to cast aspersions about her being involved in April’s disappearance.

Later, Marlon is a broken man as he admits there is a possibility April might be dead, and he and Rhona weep together.

Over at the Woolpack, the villagers rally round to provide fresh support in the hunt for April. Rhona soon receives a message from the police liaison officer. Have they found something?

2. Joe tries to make amends with Noah

Noah is still upset with his half brother Joe Tate following his disappearing act. Tonight, Joe tries to put things right and he offers Noah VIP tickets to a Leeds football match.

Charity is frustrated at the prospect of Joe worming his way back into her son’s life. She resolves to fix things and asks Ross Barton to warn Joe off.

3. Moira is supported by her family in Emmerdale spoilers

It’s time for Moira to prepare for her programme of radiotherapy. Cain Dingle pledges to fulfil his promise to Moira and support her through the treatment.

Cain is still feeling guilty over his fling with Ruby, but vows to keep that buried and be there for Moira, who is touched by the support of her family.

Following her time in the secure children’s home, Angel is struggling to adjust back in the village. In order to get her education back on track, Nicola arranges a tutoring session between Anthony Fox and Angel.Â

Mark Charnock admits huge â€˜worryâ€™ over Marlon’s Emmerdale fate amid budgets cuts

Emmerdale star Mark Charnock has revealed his fear that Marlon Dingle will be axed from the soap amid recent budget cuts. This comes amid a series of exits from the soap – including Roxy Shahidi, who plays Leyla, Paula Lane (Ella), Susan Cookson (Wendy) and Lesley Dunlop (Brenda).

And, out of fear that no-one is safe from the chop, actor Mark has opened up about his worry that Marlon could be next.

But does he have anything to worry about?

Mark Charnock reveals fears of axe for Marlon

In an exclusive interview with The Mirror, Mark opened up about his time on the soap – which began in 1996, when Marlon first appeared in the Dales.

“What an amazing run of luck. I have loved every moment of my 28 years on the show. And what is so great about it is that it changes all the time, itâ€™s never not surprising and keeps you on your toes â€“ I love that,” he said.

He continued: “You can never take it for granted and you never know until you get your next contract.”

Mark added: “I am a terrible worrier. I find myself driving home muttering lines trying to remember how I played them out. I am a bit neurotic in that way but Emmerdale is such a great show to work on.”

In Emmerdale spoilers for tonight Sarah feels embarrassed and Marlon records a message for April as the search continues.

1. Sarah feels excluded

Things seemed to be going well for Jacob and Sarah at the start, but that quickly changed. After Sarah turned up drunk to his first day of his A&E placement the pair shared some harsh words.

It got even worse when Sarah spotted Jacob kissing a girl who had spent the night at his house.

Tonight, he and his medical student friends are all out together, leaving Sarah feeling even more excluded from Jacob. Her embarrassment is heightened whenever they realise she was the drunk girl in A&E.

2. Jacob feels guilty in Emmerdale spoilers

After his medical student friends start to have a go at Sarah for her drunk antics, Jacob starts to feel guilty.

Clearly seeing it’s having an impact on Sarah, he apologises for his recent behaviour.

Sarah forgives him, and it seems the pair could be back on the right path. Will it last? Or will something else come in between them?

A new Emmerdale theory has predicted Sarah could be one of the deaths from the flashforwards…

3. Ruby and Steph’s bonding time is halted

This week Ruby decided to learn the truth about who Steph’s father really is. And so she sent away a DNA test.

Afterwards, she has been wanting to spend as much mother and daughter time with Steph as possible, clearly concerned for what their future holds.

It’s been going well, as the pair headed off on a spa trip, then continued to bond when they got home. But that changes again tonight.

Steph finds another old photo – this time from when Ruby was pregnant with her. Once again, the image brings back the memories, and her current concerns. So when Steph tries to chat about the photo, the tension rises.

4. Laurel and Rhona have a chat

Rhona was angry to learn that Laurel made a move on Marlon after she relapsed on alcohol and he helped her through it. And she was even more annoyed that Marlon kept it a secret from her.

After Marlon asked Rhona to keep it a secret, she confided in her mum, Mary – who may have been more angry about it than anyone.

While everyone was searching for April, Mary took her chance and called Laurel out for her behaviour, which led to even more issues between Marlon and Rhona.

But in Emmerdale spoilers for tonight Laurel and Rhona have a conversation that seems to put their friendship back on the right track.

April hasn’t been seen since going missing on Christmas Day. Despite the villagers not giving up and continuing to look for her everyday, there’s been no luck.

Earlier this week, Marlon’s friends tried to encourage him to do an online appeal directly to April, to gather more widespread support.

While he was initially against the idea, tonight he decides a video is the only way to progress. So he proceeds to film and upload it – but will it help? And where is April?

Following the revelation that Anthony abused daughter Ruby when she was a teenager, viewers have been wondering if Anthony could be Steph’s dad, rather than Caleb.

Tonight, Ruby goes in search of answers as she quietly pursues a DNA test and collects a hair sample from daughter Steph.

She confides in Chas about her doubts while Cain is also troubled by Anthony’s plans to settle in the village.

Ruby later has a close call when Caleb returns home early just as she’s gathering his DNA. Will he discover what his wife is up to?

Tension between Marlon and Rhona

Rhona is still upset with Marlon. Mary encourages her daughter to try and make things right, and is left to wonder if Laurel might be to blame.

Marlon’s daughter April disappeared on Christmas Day, and was later shown getting into a mystery car. Marlon is determined to continue with the quest to find the missing teen tonight.

Later, Mary intervenes and takes it upon herself to have a word with Laurel in the Woolpack, leaving Marlon furious.

Elsewhere in Emmerdale tonight

Last week, Jacob started his placement at the hospital, which was shown via a special standalone episode. During the episode, Jacob struggled on his first day and made a big mistake, which saw him reprimanded by his boss.

Tonight, life continues to take its toll and Jacob is overwhelmed and stressed.Â

What happened in Emmerdale tonight: Ruby confessed to Chas and Marlon revealed what had happened with Laurel

Ruby Fox-Miligan made a confession to Chas Dingle in Emmerdale tonight that left her sister-in-law shocked. Ruby then decided to take action, but will it bring peace?

Meanwhile, Rhona confronted Marlon who finally revealed what his mystery texts with Laurel were about.

Ruby broke her silence in Emmerdale tonight

Chas has noticed something isn’t right with Ruby. Ruby was trying to make amends with Steph after the birthday debacle, but Steph was not forgiving her at all and wanted to exchange all the birthday gifts Ruby got her. Meanwhile, Anthony played the doting father and grandfather and fought Ruby’s corner with Steph.

Anthony was rubbing it in Ruby’s face, so Ruby got drunk. She went to go searching for April with Chas, but Chas wouldn’t go with a drunk Ruby. Ruby made some comments about protecting Steph and Chas decided to get to the bottom of it all, especially when Ruby said she’d kept something hidden for over 30 years.

Ruby then broke down and confessed Caleb might not be Steph’s dad. She stopped short of revealing who the dad might be, but Chas realised Ruby had been forced and it wasn’t consensual. She encouraged Ruby to fight for justice. Ruby couldn’t bring herself to and insisted she had to keep it hidden, however later she ordered a DNA test kit to find out once and for all who Steph’s dad is.

Rhona was hurt

Marlon and Rhona were arguing over April as Rhona tried to tidy up the Christmas presents. She then confronted him over keeping secrets with Laurel.

Marlon confessed Laurel had been drinking again and called him to pick her up from a bar. He helped her stop, but she tried to kiss him and despite him saying it was nothing, Rhona told him he kept a secret from her and that’s what mattered. He insisted it shouldn’t matter as the bigger picture was about April, but Rhona told him she mattered too.

Dawn still hates Joe

Joe has Kim wrapped round her finger who seems to truly believe he is here to support her as family. Dawn is still suspicious of him though. Kim invited Joe to Will’s funeral, but Dawn later insisted he was not welcome. He accused Dawn of being a parasite and she went to hit him, just as Kim walked in.

Jacob couldn’t deal with his stress

Sarah’s still feeling sorry for herself over Jacob and he was really feeling the pressure. He sped into the village after his shift and nearly mowed down Manpreet. Vanessa gave him a lecture, but Manpreet was more understanding and talked to Jacob about his shift. She advised him to find some coping mechanisms – so he decided to take a leaf out of Ruby’s book and get wasted. Probably wasn’t quite what Manpreet had in mind!
