    The Emmerdale village now knows about Mary Goskirk and the late Suzy Merton’s kiss. And, the fallout looks set to be huge.

    Unlike other soap secrets, this one really didn’t stay a secret for that long at all…

    But, as Mary burns bridges with grieving Vanessa, is she set to leave the Dales? Will Vanessa push her out?

    Mary and Suzy kiss secret is out in Emmerdale

    On the day of the limo crash, Mary visited Suzy and was stunned to find out that Suzy actually had feelings for her.

    Mary and Suzy had been avoiding telling each other how they really felt for over a year. But, Suzy couldn’t keep quiet any longer.

    She admitted to Mary that she was willing to ditch Vanessa and start a proper relationship with her instead (poor Ness!)

    As they kissed (and were caught by Leyla), Suzy was determined to speak to Vanessa and end things with her. But, the limo crash prevented this… Suzy sadly lost her life in the accident meaning that Suzy and Mary’s relationship ended before it really got off the ground. Tragic.

    Tonight (Thursday, March 13), after Vanessa read through Suzy’s phone (that miraculously survived the crash) and found out that she was seeing another woman, the truth came out.

    Rhona popped round to visit Ness and spotted her mum’s bracelet in the house. Little did she know that she’d just dropped her mum right in it.

    Adding two and two together, Ness realised that Mary was Suzy’s ‘other woman’ and had it out with her in the Woolpack. And, oh, she wasn’t afraid to put on a huge show for the punters. She was LIVID. At least Ross enjoyed the free entertainment with his pint even if he was stopped from capturing it on video and going viral online…

    Are Mary’s days in the village numbered?

    As Vanessa rightly said Mary is her ‘best friend’s mum.’ But, with the truth now out, Rhona might just be forced to take sides.

    And if Rhona happens to side with Ness, where would that leave Mary? While nothing’s been officially confirmed about Louise Jameson leaving the soap as Mary, Mary should expect a lot of heated conversations coming her way should she decided to stick around.

    Vanessa’s not impressed, but will she force Mary out of the Dales?

    A new Emmerdale fan theory has emerged suggesting Suzy Merton was having an affair – no, not that one (sorry Mary), but with another other woman. This came as Vanessa opened Suzy’s phone last night (Wednesday, March 12) to discover a series of texts from Leyla.

    She was horrified as she read on, learning that Suzy had kissed another woman. And, while Leyla hadn’t deigned to name names, the culprit wasn’t far away. Vanessa shared her discovery with Mary, unaware that she was speaking to the true object of Suzy’s affections – not knowing that Suzy had been planning on ending things so she could be with Mary.

    But is there more to Suzy and Mary’s emotional affair? Some think not – and have accused Suzy of having another affair.

    Suzy was having a second affair, Emmerdale fans predict

    Writing on social media as last night’s episode aired, fans shared their theories about what might happen next. And some wondered if Suzy might have had a third woman on the go.

    “Wouldn’t it be a great twist, unlikely, but if Mary WASN’T the other woman and there was someone else. Again unlikely, but given Mary and Suzy were not having an affair like Vanessa has suggested imagine the shock if there was someone else involved,” wrote one fan on X.

    “I’m a bit confused about the whole thing cos we never saw this ‘relationship’ between Mary and Suzy. We barely even saw one between Vanessa and Suzy. I know we saw that kiss but other than that, there wasn’t anything so what if the texts were about someone else? If Vanessa thinks Suzy was having a full blown affair it can’t have been with Mary, so maybe she was having an affair with another woman?!” asked another.

    Was Suzy seeing multiple women?

    This unlikely theory was quickly debunked by a third fan, who said: “Just because it was only one kiss, no I do not believe Suzy was having another affair yet to be revealed. Some can’t grasp concept of being able to fall in love with someone without sex involved first. Suzy had fallen in love with Mary over time on deeper level.”

    Fans of Emmerdale have been left confused as Vanessa Woodfield found out about Suzy’s kiss last night (Wednesday, March 12) after reading Leyla’s messages to her phone.

    Having walked in on Suzy and Mary kissing, Leyla was had been party to their illicit kiss. She took the secret to her grave, but not before sending a series of incriminating text messages to Suzy.

    Going through Suzy’s messages, Vanessa was devastated to learn that Suzy had kissed another woman. Appalled, she shared her discovery with Mary, unaware that Mary was Suzy’s other woman.

    Viewers were more distracted by another issue though… how did Vanessa get hold of Suzy’s phone in the first place?

    Emmerdale fans confused by ‘plot hole’ as Vanessa learns about Suzy kiss

    Writing on social media as the episode aired, fans shared their thoughts on Vanessa’s discovery. And some had a very pressing question – would Suzy really have left her phone behind as she embarked on her fateful limo ride?

    “How does vanessa even have Suzy’s phone? wouldn’t it have gone down with her in the limo? I would’ve believed if she was reading the texts from a laptop,” pointed out one fan on X.

    “Why didn’t Suzy’s phone end up in the lake?” asked another.

    “Good question that,” agreed a third.

    With reports of Gail Loman’s exit on the cards in Emmerdale, a new theory has ‘worked out’ how she will leave – and it’s linked to Mary.

    Last night (Tuesday March 11), Mary trusted gossipy Gail (a literal barmaid who strikes up conversation with anyone and everyone) with her big secret.

    But, could this secret actually play a huge part in Gail’s exit storyline? We think so!

    Mary told Gail about her kiss with Suzy

    On the day of the limo crash, viewers will know that Leyla actually caught Mary and Suzy kissing. The women had finally confessed their feelings for each other after a good year of dancing around them.

    Suzy was even ready to throw away her relationship with Vanessa to be with Mary. But, of course, the limo crash meant that they never did get their happy ever after.

    Since Suzy’s death in the limo, Mary has been trying to be a supportive friend to Vanessa (some may say out of guilt).

    But, last night, Mary felt as though she just had to tell someone about her kiss with Suzy. And with the only other person who knew, Leyla, now dead… Mary selected Gail to share her secret. Wow, what an honour!

    Gail was stunned as Mary admitted that they’d kissed on the day of Suzy’s death… But, before she could elaborate any further, Vanessa walked in asking Mary to sign a tribute for her late partner. Talk about awkward.

    Theory: Gail’s exit storyline linked to Mary secret?

    Reports suggest that Gail Loman is soon to be leaving the soap. It’s unclear how she will depart but last night’s scenes have now sparked a new theory from us.

    With Gail now knowing Mary’s secret, it can’t be long before it slips out of her mouth. We just know that Gail struggles to keep anything to herself.

    With Vanessa finding out the truth, Gail might feel as though she’s broken everyone’s trust and decide to leave the village.

    Or, perhaps, in a sinister twist, Mary might realise that her secret isn’t safe with Gail and attempt to keep her quiet. But in the process, Gail could accidentally get brutally injured…

    Considering that Gail doesn’t appear very often, we reckon that last night’s scenes were important in some way. But, could this all be paving the way for her exit?

    Tonight’s episode of Emmerdale saw a return to screens for the late Leyla Harding and Suzy Merton in a series of flashbacks. Killed in last month’s horrific limousine crash, Leyla and Suzy have been mourned by those who loved them, including Leyla’s son Jacob and Suzy’s two adoring admirers (one, it became clear, without the other’s knowledge).

    And, as the village laid Leyla and Amy Barton to rest tonight, the soap aired three flashbacks to the days leading up to their deaths. One after the other, three bombshells dropped, revealing the secrets Leyla had been party to before she died.

    And what doozies they were!

    Emmerdale revealed Suzy, Tracy and Manpreet’s secrets tonight

    Tracy, we learned, has been pocketing money from the till Meanwhile, Suzy was planning on leaving Vanessa after declaring her feelings for Mary.

    And, in the third revelation, Leyla walked in on Manpreet and caught her looking at risqué images of herself (on a work computer? For shame!). This would explain Manpreet’s blackmail woes, as it appears Leyla isn’t the only one who knows her secret.

    Emmerdale flashbacks weren’t enough, fans slam

    Writing on social media as the flashbacks aired, fans shared their thoughts on these revelations. And many were left unsatisfied, feeling as though Suzy and Mary’s relationship deserved more than a short flashback.

    “Just watched today’s Emmerdale. And gutted all over again at the choice to kill off Leyla & Suzy. The Suzy/Mary relationship should have been explored way back instead of them shoving Suzy with Vanessa and then massively underusing the character!” wrote one fan.

    “One short flashback scene is all writers would commit to Mary & Suzy, a human interest storyline that deserved to be beautifully told,” said another.

    “Mary and Suzy???? That’s taken me out more than the fact Emmerdale didn’t show this infidelity In real time? What’s the matter with them? They usually love to show it,” said another.

    Mary, Tracy and Manpreet’s secrets ‘exposed’ – everything we know about what comes next

    Tonight’s episode of Emmerdale (Thursday, March 6) revealed that Tracy, Mary and Manpreet have all been hiding some pretty big secrets from their family and friends. As a series of flashbacks exposed three secrets Leyla had taken to her grave, viewers learned what exactly the three villagers had been hiding.

    In the first flashback, Leyla caught Tracy red-handing stealing money from Pollard’s shop. As she confronted her, Tracy admitted that she’d had no child support money from Nate (not surprising, given he’s currently dead at the bottom of a lake) and that she’d stolen £2k worth of takings from Pollard to make ends meet.

    Then, in the second, she walked in to find Mary and Suzy kissing. Suzy had just admitted her feelings to Mary, and was planning on dumping Vanessa so that they can be together.

    And, in the third, Leyla found Manpreet in front of her computer at work. Seeing what was on the screen, she realised that Manpreet had quite the online presence. And, in the present day, a mystery message showed that someone else knows too…

    But what happens next?

    What happens next as the secrets of Mary, Tracy and Manpreet are revealed

    While Leyla has taken these secrets to her grave, it’s unlikely that they’ll stay buried for long. And with Mary still pining for lost love Suzy – while also attempting to support Vanessa – how long can she keep quiet about the true nature of their relationship?

    Emmerdale spoilers for next week haven’t said whether she continues to keep quiet, but with Suzy’s funeral still to come, she may yet be tested as emotions continue to build.

    Meanwhile, with Manpreet receiving threatening messages claiming to know what she’s been up to, she too will have to work to keep her secret hidden.

    And, Nate still being very dead, Tracy’s money situation will surely only worsen. And with Leyla now silenced, will she be tempted to continue stealing from Pollard?

    Last night (Monday, February 24), the village held a vigil for the three lives lost. And, as Vanessa mourned girlfriend Suzy, Mary took the opportunity to pay her condolences… and take a little something for herself.

    Telling Vanessa that she and Suzy had been friends, she then sneakily took a picture of Suzy from the refrigerator, pocketing it for herself. Clearly, Mary is doing some secret mourning of her own, but what’s the full story?

    The pair did have unfinished business after all – with the pair beginning a tentative romance before Vanessa returned to the village and resumed her relationship with Suzy.

    A number of fans have theorised that Mary and Suzy may have been having an affair prior to the limousine crash, and have taken Mary’s photo theft as confirmation.

    Writing on social media, fans shared their theories about these scenes – with a number suggesting that Mary and Suzy could have been seeing each other behind Vanessa’s back.

    “Why do I get the feeling Suzy and Mary had a secret affair,” wrote one fan on X.

    “Mary you little liar .. we know you were more than ‘friends’,” another accused.

    “Yo Mary and Suzy have defiently had an affair or some kind of a moment.. “She was my friend” More than that love,” a third said.

    Emmerdale spoilers: Mary grieves for her lost love

    Wedding planner Suzy was the first victim of the limo accident, which also claimed the lives of Leyla and Amy. Charity swerved off the road to avoid hitting Noah and the limo plunged into a frozen lake. Suzy was killed on impact, leaving her girlfriend Vanessa utterly heartbroken.

    Mary has also been struggling in the wake of Suzy’s tragic demise. The pair were good friends, but but viewers also know that Mary had developed a deep affection for Suzy. They very nearly became an item, but then Vanessa came back on the scene and Mary panicked.

    Those romantic feelings clearly never went away though. On the day of the limo crash, there were a couple of lingering looks and Mary blew Suzy a kiss as she headed off for the night. Had the ladies started a secret affair behind Vanessa’s back?

    What exactly has prompted this sudden change of heart remains to be seen, but Vanessa clearly feels unable to say goodbye to the woman she supposedly loved.

    Mary finds Vanessa crying in toilets of The Woolpack and can see what a terrible state she’s in. But as the distraught vet crumbles into her friend’s arms, it’s clear Mary is feeling haunted by events of the past. Did she and Suzy betray Vanessa?

    In Emmerdale Mary has started to ‘annoy’ fans, as they call for a change in her current storyline.

    At the moment, Mary is heavily involved in April’s disappearance storyline. But her recent actions have not gone down well with viewers.

    Recently, despite Rhona’s protests, Mary lashed out at Laurel when it came out that she made a drunken pass at Marlon.

    Emmerdale Mary ‘annoying’ fans

    This immediately caused backlash with fans, as they believed Rhona was the one who should have sorted the situation with Laurel. Not her mum.

    Things only got worse whenever she not so discreetly insinuated she thinks there is a high chance April could be dead. And while, many people in the village may have shared the same thoughts, they all chose not to vocalise it.

    Now Emmerdale fans have taken to a Reddit thread to discuss whether or not they are happy with Mary’s character. And one thing they all agree on, is that they wish her romance with Suzy was revisited.

    A while back, Emmerdale shocked fans by giving Mary and Suzy feelings for each other. But before there was ever a chance to fully develop it, Vanessa was back in Suzy’s life and Mary stepped aside.

    Despite this, the pair have maintained a close bond. And it’s obvious they care for one another. Although fans wish it was still romantic.

    One wrote: “I love the actress Louise Jameson. But Mary is getting on my nerves. Her overuse of the nickname ‘poppet’ to Rhona is driving me mad.”

    Fans call for Mary and Suzy to be revisited

    Another agreed: “I wish they would have her go back to the romance she had with Suzy. That story had some premise and they just cut it off.”

    This was backed up by another fan who admitted: “I got so excited when I saw them sit together in the pub a few nights ago.”

    “She is being underused. I really loved the idea of her and Suzy. But that’s been abandoned. My worry is that she will be kept by the wayside,” a fan theorised.

    As it seems fans are desperate for Mary and Suzy to be revisited, could Emmerdale bring the pair back together again? Anything is possible in soaps!
