Christmas may be over, but with New Year there comes a whole new schedule shakeup. Here’s when you can catch Emmerdale this week.

What is happening in Emmerdale this week?

In Emmerdale this week, the search for April continues and the police search her home looking for clues as to her whereabouts. One thing they find is contraceptive pills, which neither Marlon nor Rhona knew she was taking.

As April’s disappearance takes its toll, Marlon and Rhona are soon at each other’s throats.

Elsewhere, Emmerdale will air a special standalone episode for Jacob Gallagher‘s first day in A&E. However, things don’t quite go to plan and Jacob soon feels under pressure.

When a stab victim is admitted to the hospital, Jacob recognises the purse as belonging to April and he decides to call Marlon. His boss is furious with his conduct, but this doesn’t prevent Marlon and Rhona from turning up at the hospital and begging for news. Has April been found?

Also this week, we will see five flash forwards which hint at what’s to come in 2025…

Schedule changes are becoming quite a regular occurrence if recent weeks are anything to go by. Tonight (Thursday, October 31) sees the soap air at a different time to usual.

Emmerdale schedule change: Soap to air at 7pm

Emmerdale usually airs at 7.30pm-8.30pm on Thursday, but tonight, the soap will air from 7pm-8pm.

In what feels like quite the Halloween trick, the usual soap schedule will be temporarily altered to make room for… wait for it… no, not the football this time! It’s the Martin Lewis Money Show Budget Special!

The King of Finance will be airing a special ep from 8pm-9pm, meaning that Emmerdale needs to air at a slightly earlier time. Where Martin Lewis is concerned, we’ll forgive him for this one.

For those fans who want to watch today’s Emmerdale even earlier, the episode is now available on ITVX.

What to expect from tonight’s Emmerdale

This evening’s Emmerdale is set to get rather spooky as Chas invites Liam and Ella to Halloween at the pub.

Chas and Liam end up sharing a kiss though as Liam realises that he must break up with Ella…

Elsewhere, Tom’s starting to sweat as Nicola and Jimmy clash over their differing views regarding their nephew.

The couple’s relationship is put under strain as Nicola continues to share her concerns over Tom’s behaviour after his recent treatment of Carl.

Perhaps it won’t be quite a Happy Halloween for everyone in the village this year…
