  • Emmerdale fan ‘works out’ Steph Miligan’s real father – and it’s not Anthony or Caleb

Emmerdale fan ‘works out’ Steph Miligan’s real father – and it’s not Anthony or Caleb

Lately Ruby Fox-Miligan has been acting strangely in Emmerdale as her daughter Steph and father Anthony come back into her life. Speculation has been rife that Ruby was abused by her dad. But a new Emmerdale theory gives a different contender for Steph’s biological father – and it’s not Caleb or Anthony.

Steph brought Anthony to the village in an attempt at getting him and Ruby to reconcile, but it was very clear from Ruby’s reaction that was going to be harder than anticipated.

Her reaction to him showing up in the village led to other reckless behaviour – sleeping with Cain Dingle.

    Emmerdale Ruby’s relationship with Anthony

Ruby explained her reasoning for hating her father. When she was pregnant he tried to force her to get a termination, and then kicked her out of the house.

That alone gives Ruby a good enough reason for wanting him to stay away, but it’s clear Steph isn’t ready to give up.

And with Anthony informing them about his cancer diagnosis, Steph is desperate for her mum to at least consider giving him another chance.

The news also shocks Ruby, as she struggles to know how to process everything. But fans recently guessed there was a more sinister twist waiting to come out about Ruby and her father.

They theorised that Ruby had been abused by Anthony, and that he is Steph’s real dad. However, as new spoilers have been released, many fans are now speculating someone else is Steph’s father – and it’s not Caleb or Anthony.

In an upcoming episode, flashback scenes will explore Emmerdale Ruby’s backstory, and fans will come to get a surprising insight to her life.

The flashbacks feature a 16-year-old Ruby, around a year before Steph was born, getting along with a fellow teenager, Rob. Through the flashbacks fans will learn why she insists she can’t remember that day.

Emmerdale theory suggests Rob is the real dad of Steph as Ruby’s past explored

Now, fans are convinced this new character Rob is actually Steph’s dad. And perhaps there is more to come from the story.

On a Reddit thread, fans theorised: “I originally believed that Anthony had physically abused Ruby when pregnant. If the assault theories are true, I don’t understand why he would risk losing Steph by reuniting with Ruby. And I don’t believe she would keep quiet, knowing he could do the same to her.”

Instead, the fan provided a different and new Emmerdale theory.

“I think now we’re supposed to believe that Rob is the biological father of Steph, but the writers may be having us on because that would be obvious.

“Hopefully they’re not just trying to take the focus off Anthony. And I hope Caleb really is the father. But maybe the Foxes saw Rob as ‘better’ than Caleb. Maybe he was rich and they set him up with Ruby. He may have abused her without her parents knowing.”

The theory helps understand why in Emmerdale Ruby tries to get the attention off her 16th birthday, and also why she hates her father so much.

Whatever the reason is, it’s clear there is much more going on than we currently know.

  • Steph pregnancy to expose Cain and Ruby affair? Hot Emmerdale fan theory

Steph pregnancy to expose Cain and Ruby affair? Hot Emmerdale fan theory

In typical soap fashion, a new Emmerdale theory suggests a shock pregnancy for Steph may be the catalyst for Cain and Ruby’s secret to be exposed.

Everyone knows secret one-night stands never stay quiet in Emmerdale. Especially when the person strays with someone close to home.

Viewers were left unhappy a few weeks ago when Cain slept with Ruby, his brother’s wife, while Moira was in brain surgery.

In a twist that has been deemed “completely unnecessary”, Cain and Ruby agreed it stays between them.

Cain and Ruby’s secret is a ticking bomb

But coming up, Cain’s guilt begins to eat away at him, and we know he gets arrested for his behaviour. But fans aren’t convinced he will confess to his wife.

Instead they think it will be Steph, Ruby and Caleb’s daughter, who forces the secret out.

Around the same time as Cain and Ruby, Steph herself had a bunk-up with Emmerdale bad boy Ross Barton. So when Caleb spotted the morning after pill packaging in the rubbish, he just assumed it was hers.

However, we know it was actually Ruby’s. And, as Emmerdale made a point of showing Caleb find the packaging, everyone believes that will have to play into the reveal.

Emmerdale theory suggests pregnancy for Steph

One new theory suggests Steph may actually be pregnant with Ross’ baby, and so obviously Caleb will then question what he found – leading to a huge bombshell hitting him and Moira.

The Emmerdale theory was first posted on a Reddit thread, and fans were quick to agree that it made sense.

One commented: “She will at least have a pregnancy scare and this is how Caleb will realise the morning-after pill packaging he found in the trash was not Steph’s.”

Another added: “I can totally see this happening!”

“They also made a point of showing the ‘this never happened’ text that Ruby sent to Cain. Either Caleb or Moira will see it,” a third penned.

Although, while many agreed, another fan suggested an alternative that would also bring another side to Anthony into the mix.

They wrote: “I thought Ruby’s dad would somehow figure out about Ruby and Cain. He could blackmail her about keeping quiet so he could stay in the village.”

While Mike Parr recently admitted he would love Ross to remain single, if Steph was pregnant, would Ross appreciate the chance to do fatherhood right? We know he is set to step away from trying with Moses..

Either way, it’s only a matter of time before Moira and Caleb find out. And we’re sure there will be fireworks whenever they do.

Despite Ruby telling everyone how much she does not want her father in her life, Anthony returns to the Dales.

But this time, he brings the news of his cancer diagnosis, leaving Steph stunned and devastated.

    2. Eric continues to take risks

Last night viewers discovered just exactly why Eric suddenly has no issues with spending huge amounts of money.

As he surprised Brenda with tickets for a honeymoon cruise, many of those closest to him began to get suspicious – not Brenda, she just wanted to know if Jane McDonald would be there.

After revealing to Leyla that he has invested all of his savings into cryptocurrency, it looks like his risks are just set to continue.

Leyla tried to warn him it may be a scam, but Eric being Eric wasn’t having any of it, and was adamant it will eventually result in a big pay-out.

But as his risks continue, will Eric ever tell Brenda?

    4. Will Tom be back?

He was convinced he was getting away, but Tom couldn’t help but try to terrorise Belle Dingle one last time before he ran, and that proved to be his downfall.

As he was in the queue, about to board his new life, DS Foy arrived and arrested him.

But while this means he is behind bars, Tom is not the sort of person to go down without fighting, so could he make another appearance?

Ruby tries to move forward with Steph

Ruby Fox-Miligan has had a dramatic time in the Dales lately. Her daughter Steph arrived and while Ruby and Caleb were hopeful this meant they could be a family again – Steph brought a guest.

Anthony, Ruby’s dad, has a very apparent bad history with his daughter. While Ruby insists it’s due to him trying to convince her to terminate her pregnancy, a lot of fans have speculated if it could be more sinister.

As Steph and Ruby reunited, a confrontation quickly took place leading Ruby to slap her daughter. Fans can add that to the list of mistakes she has made recently – including sleeping with Cain.

But tonight, Ruby begs Steph for another chance, still hopeful she can get her family together – away from Anthony.

However, will Steph agree? And will her relationship with her grandfather come in between them again?

    Emmerdale: Ross’ love life

Ross has been unlucky in love over the years, returning to the Dales with quite the tragic bombshell. He revealed to Charity that his ex partner Rebecca had died and Seb was now living with an aunt.

With Ross now back in the village, he’s distracting himself from the grief it seems… turning his head to Charity. Seeing sense, Charity rejected Ross’ advances though. Fair play.

But, now, he’s left Charity alone and in now flirting with newcomer Steph Miligan instead. The pair even ended up sleeping together in the barn. This happened despite Steph admitting that Ross isn’t the sort of guy she’d go for. We’re not sure we believe her…

Mike Parr on Ross Barton’s ‘one true love’

Spoilers for next week reveal that Ross is startled when Jade kidnaps April and takes her to a car park. It sends all sorts of bad memories rushing back for Ross as he remembers Donna’s death.

And, Mike Parr has now confirmed that despite all these new romances and flings, it was Donna that ultimately won Ross’ heart.

Speaking to Emmerdale Insider and other media, Mike shared: “That was his first experience with love.

“When love is snatched away from you, you’re always going to glamorize it and think about what it could have been. But I think was probably the one he loved the most.”

“Nobody lives up to Donna in his eyes.”

Speaking about how Ross is haunted by Donna’s memory in the coming weeks as he’s taken back to the place of Donna’s death, Mike teased: “It’s hugely traumatic for him. It brings back the worst memories, you know, seeing somebody die, especially the first girl who has ever loved you and your first experience of love to fall off a roof chained to a paedophile. That’s a traumatic event for him.”

Will Ross ever find a love like he had with Donna again?

Jai Sharma finally put in his place in Emmerdale – and fans are loving Steph for it

Fans of Emmerdale rejoiced last night as newcomer Steph Miligan made her mark by putting Jai Sharma in his place. This came as she scored a job working at her dad’s haulage business – a bit of nepotism effectively making her Jai’s boss.

After hooking up with Ross, she then clashed with Jai as he admonished her for ‘borrowing’ one of their trucks. Reading him the riot act, Steph showed that she wasn’t one to be messed with.

“I’m not a cog, I think I’m pretty much your boss,” a no-nonsense Steph snapped, “so if I decide to do something, I don’t need to get your permission first. Is that understood?”

Message well and truly nailed home, a humiliated Jai slunk off to lick his wounds. And Steph basked in her glory, winning the approval of a clearly-impressed Chas, who had witnessed the exchange.

Fans too, couldn’t get enough of Steph’s treatment of Jai.

Emmerdale fans cheer on Steph as she ‘roasts’ Jai

As the episode aired, fans took to X to celebrate Steph‘s victory over Jai.

“The way that Steph put Jai in his place! whewww,” wrote one fan.

“Steph roasting Jai in front of everyone,” applauded another with clapping emojis.

“Steph putting idiot Jai in his place,” laughed a third.

“I’d pack up and leave after that rinsing, Jai,” agreed another viewer.

Steph hooks up with Ross as his scheme with Jai goes awry

Elsewhere in the episode, Steph hooked up with Ross after he attempted to steal one of her dad’s trucks. Conspiring with Jai, Ross stole a van full of goods, which he unpacked in an isolated barn.

However, he got more than he bargained for when he opened up to find Steph lurking inside. After a simmering back-and-forth, the pair gave in to mutual attraction, and hooked up in the back of the van.

Foiling Ross and Jai’s scheme, she then drove the van back to the yard herself. The rest, as they say, is history.

  • Steph is not Caleb’s daughter, fans predict as they speculate Ruby was abused by her father

Steph is not Caleb’s daughter, fans predict as they speculate Ruby was abused by her father

A new fan theory predicts Ruby Miligan in Emmerdale may have been abused by her father, Anthony. And viewers are now questioning if Steph is really Caleb Miligan‘s daughter at all.

Emmerdale has been getting some new additions recently as Ruby’s dad Anthony, and her daughter, Steph Miligan, have arrived in the village.

Ruby’s family life seems to be nothing but drama. Steph revealed she didn’t want a relationship with her parents, and instead only wanted her inheritance from Ruby’s dead mum.

But in last night’s episode of Emmerdale (November 19), Steph tricked her mum into meeting with Anthony, by pretending she wanted to chat.

It was immediately clear there is a lot of history between Ruby and Anthony, but could it be something more sinister?

Emmerdale: Ruby has ‘sinister’ past with Anthony, fans predict

Viewers found out Ruby’s parents wanted her to have a termination instead of going through with her pregnancy. But after her reaction to him being back in the village, many think there is something else going on.

Ruby had a very extreme reaction to seeing Anthony again, making it clear she will never forgive him. Then when Caleb gave her the box which Anthony had tried to earlier that day, she got angry at her husband.

Taking to social media after last night’s episode, fans speculated.

One wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter): “Ruby despises her dad, but why? Is there something far more sinister? He’s creepy?”

Another penned: “Are they going to do a Ruby’s daughter is also her sister type of storyline and that’s really why she hates her dad so much?”

“No way is that the reaction of someone who was told to leave home because they got pregnant. That seems to be the reaction of someone who’s been abused. Is he Steph’s dad, not grandad?”

If the fan theory is true then it makes sense why Ruby reacted in that way towards her father. And if so, will she ever open up to Caleb?
