Classic Emmerdale spoilers: Steph makes a bold move as she’s arrested for murder

In Classic Emmerdale spoilers airing on ITV3 today (Monday, January 20), Steph Stokes is shocked when the police arrive and arrest her. This comes as Adam’s lies were exposed last week – seemingly giving Steph motive for Terence’s murder.

Last week, the police discovered that Adam is a fraud, and has been practicing medicine under his late dad’s name. While it was obvious that Steph knew nothing about her husband’s past, this wasn’t enough to clear her of Terence’s murder.

And, as she prepares for her bail hearing, a defiant Steph makes a bold move. Can she clear her name?

Elsewhere, Simon is deflated when Tash pays a visit with some disappointing news. As Diane attempts to console him, Simon misreads the signals and embarrasses himself.

These episodes originally aired on July 24 and 25 2006.

Steph is arrested in Classic Emmerdale spoilers

Alan is proud when Steph spends the day trying to move on with her life. However, she faces a major setback later that day when the police arrive at the Woolpack – and arrest her in front of everyone.

The next day, at her bail hearing, Steph refuses to plead unfit to go to trial, and pleads not guilty to murdering Terence. Can Steph clear her name, or has she just made a huge mistake?

    Simon misreads the signals

Simon gets a message from Tash, telling him that she will be paying a visit. Later, he is shocked when Tash arrives – with her new fiancé Russell in tow. She tells him that she’s only arranged the meeting to ask that he give her away.

Afterwards, Diane comforts a devastated and drunken Simon. He’s left feeling embarrassed when he misreads her goodwill as something else entirely.
