Emmerdale barn fire: Everyone at risk of death as soap drops explosive new promo

Emmerdale has shared a dramatic first look at the upcoming barn fire that will put several villagers’ lives in danger.

The fire will send shockwaves through the village, with the promo teasing that secrets will be revealed.

In recent weeks, Moira has been acting strangely and drinking, causing her family to worry. It is her actions that set off the devastating chain of events… But who exactly is in danger in the Emmerdale barn fire?

    Moira stares

    Moira

In the short, thirty second teaser released by Emmerdale, Moira appears to be in the thick of the action.

First spotted kissing Nate (and on the end of some threatening words from him: “If you blab about what happened when you’re half cut”), she’s soon seen wielding a shotgun, shooting out a light, and dishing out a slap.

She’s also foremost in Cain’s thoughts – will the barn inferno finally be the moment everything burns to the ground for Moira?

    Ruby looks unhappy
Is Ruby’s time in Emmerdale nearly up? (Credit: ITV)

    Ruby

Ruby barely features in the trailer, which could be a diversion away from expectations for her getting caught up in it?

The contemptible villainess has also been part of Emmerdale for less than a year, however. And while we reckon plenty of fans would be glad to see the back of her, we’ve an awful feeling our heartstrings are in for a fiercer plucking…

    Nate listens
Is Nate done for? (Credit: ITV)

    Nate

Oh dear, oh dear – it isn’t looking great for hunky Nate. With reports suggesting Nate is on his way from Emmerdale, and just as if it looks like his relationship with Tracy might be healed (he’s locking lips with her in the trailer), soap sod’s law probably means Nate will cark it… just as a happy ending (even if he managed to patch it up with Tracy and convince her to relocate to Scotland with him) seemed to be a possibility…

“See that’s the problem, I want you to come with me,” Nate is heard telling someone – presumably Tracy, as the voiceover airs over footage of them kissing.

    Is Nate doomed?

    Tom is glum
Could Tom die in the barn fire? (Credit: ITV)

    Tom

Again, Tom is another Emmerdale regular many fans might not be sad to see fall victim to the fire. After all, he’s probably guaranteed a trip to the burning depths of hell anyway, for how he’s abused Belle.

That gaslighting and manipulation is on show again in the trailer, as he is seen placing a hand over her mouth, and also telling her: “You look so beautiful when you cry.”

What a creep! Tom’s also seen collapsing with a head wound. Could this be his bloody end?

    Caleb speaks
Caleb wouldn’t be missed by many Emmerdale residents (Credit: ITV)

    Caleb

When it comes to stacking up bad karma, Caleb may have picked up more through the sharing of bad vibes than any of other Emmerdale rotters caught up in the fire.

“I saw Moira with Nate, kissing,” he is heard saying in voiceover, to an unidentified someone else.

Loose lips can sink ships, as they say. And in this case, it isn’t Moira and Nate’s lips – but chatting about them instead could prove damning for Caleb.

Seen sneaking around the barn, Caleb may also be among the three figures – it is hard to definitely say who is who at the end of the trailer. But one outline certainly does look like him… and goes limp as an explosion goes off!

    Mack makes a point
Will Mack make it? (Credit: ITV)

    Mack

Similarly, we’re not sure whether Mack might be one of the three spied at the end of the teaser. One may be Caleb, and another appears to be John, possibly.

Additionally, Mack might be the person who appears to have a burning ceiling beam drop on them… or is that Nate?

After his recent close encounter with a bull, has Mack’s luck in defying death run out?

    John reacts
Could John be a goner? (Credit: ITV)

    John

John‘s only just joined Emmerdale in recent months, so we’re hopeful that could mean a thumbs up for his prospects. But we’re not sure, even though it could indicated he will escape death in the barn.

He looks to be very involved, though. “Call the fire brigade now, tell them someone’s trapped,” he’s heard saying, sounding like a man attempting to get control of a situation.

But other glimpses in the trailer show nobody is in control. And does he end up trapped himself when an explosion goes off?

    Belle pouts
Will Belle be ok? (Credit: ITV)

    Belle

As if being in the clutches of the mad, bad, and dangerous to know Tom isn’t enough to keep Belle occupied, the drama keeps on building as she looks to be in a right state as flames lick around her.

Not only does Tom appear to restrain her at one point, she is also shown to be out for the count with the blaze mere feet away.

Could Belle’s words in voiceover end up as her own eulogy? “I love you so much. And that love is never going to go away,” she is heard to say.

    Tracy peers
Could Emmerdale lose Tracy? (Credit: ITV)

    Tracy

Is anyone guaranteed a happy ending in Soapland? Just as if it seems like Tracy and Nate might be able to get things back on track with Nate, it seems like he might relocate to Scotland.

Then, going by the trailer, it seems like Caleb hasn’t finished causing trouble for Nate – and the fears of Nate departing the soap in a coffin seem very real.

If Nate leaves, could Tracy be set for an exit, too?

    Cain looks aghast
    Cain looks aghast (Credit: ITV)

    Cain

He doesn’t feature all that much in the trailer – and he’s certainly outlasted many Emmerdale veterans in similarly hazardous situations – but Cain‘s luck can’t last forever.

Moira, as ever, appears to be a catalyst for trouble. And like a moth attracted to the flame, Cain is pulled into danger as he’s seen desperately calling his wife’s name as he arrives at the fiery scene, and also peering through flames.

    Will looks unhappy
Will is having a rough time (Credit: ITV)

    Will

Despite his prominence in Emmerdale’s biggest storylines, Will‘s presence in the teaser is a relatively small one.

As with Ruby, that could be part of a soap plot red herring – not giving too much away in the trailer.

But, as he often appears, Will has a look full of regret in the preview. He’s been having a really rough go of it recently. Could a terrible death in the burning barn be the full stop to his miserable time in Emmerdale?

  • Remember Malone? Dawn shouldn’t be so harsh on Will – he saved her from the cop shop

Remember Malone? Dawn shouldn’t be so harsh on Will – he saved her from the cop shop

They have short memories over in Emmerdale – namely Dawn, whose judgemental nature has caused fans to ask if she remembers shooting Malone.

In recent Emmerdale scenes, Dawn disowned her dad over his lies about her mum, Rose.

But given her history, is Dawn being harsh on the man who helped her cover up a murder?

Dawn looks upset at the hospital in Emmerdale

    Who was Malone?

DI Mark Malone was a bent police officer who appeared in Emmerdale in 2020. He was also the boss of a criminal gang, who Will Taylor once worked for.

During his short stay in the village, Malone managed to blackmail Will, Cain and Billy into working for him.

Malone later threatened Billy, saying he had the whole police force in his pocket and could get Billy sent down for years on fake assault charges.

Malone then threatened Will’s daughter Dawn, and tried to convince her to take a fatal overdose of heroin. Fortunately, Harriet came to the rescue and hit Malone over the head with an ornament – an action both ladies thought had killed him.

However, an angry Malone woke up and attempted to attack Dawn and Harriet. Dawn instinctively reached for Malone’s gun and shot him three times, resulting in his death. Harriet suggested burying him in an already occupied grave.

    Emmerdale's Malone is serious

Will helped Dawn cover up her crime

Initially hiding what she had done from her father, Dawn eventually told her dad the truth when he was questioned about Malone’s disappearance.

Disaster struck later that year when a woman arrived in the village and announced she was the daughter of the man in the graveyard beneath where they had buried Malone – and she wanted to dig him up.

Wanting to protect his daughter, Will took control of the situation and decided they should re-bury Malone in a secluded spot of land at Home Farm.

Kim later revealed to Will that she’d asked a shady contact to dig up the body and destroy it, meaning that Will and Dawn didn’t need to worry about Malone anymore.

Dawn is being harsh on Will

With all that in mind, fans have rightly pointed out how hypocritical Dawn is being in current Emmerdale storylines.

Will and Kim recently paid Dawn’s mum Rose money to leave the village. Dawn discovered this but pleaded ignorance in an attempt to trick her dad into revealing the truth.

However, when he was more worried about protecting Kim than Rose’s potential demise, Dawn told her dad she didn’t want to see him again. Something which has angered viewers.

“Oh Dawn get off your high horse. You killed someone, hid the body and let Kim sort it for you. You sponge off her and live with your whole family in her home. Whiny mare,” one fan said on X.

While another added: “Dawn is such an ungrateful [bleep], dad literally covered up a murder for her and she’s like ‘I hate you!!!’”

“I don’t remember Dawn being so judgemental when her dad and Kim helped her hide the body of the man she murdered,” said a third fan. With a fourth writing: “Dawn is so ungrateful. Kim and Will have helped her get away with murder (literally), provided a stable home for her to prove she is a good mother to social services, Kim accepted her and the kids as family and in her home and all Dawn can do is moan!”

Will Dawn have a change of heart?

  • Emmerdale tonight: Cain failed to believe that Moira was ill, Will lashed out at Billy, and Caleb relished in his successful schemes

Emmerdale tonight: Cain failed to believe that Moira was ill, Will lashed out at Billy, and Caleb relished in his successful schemes

Emmerdale tonight saw a worrying continuation of bad health for Moira as she regained consciousness after her seizure and her son said she smelt terrible (how charming!…)

Elsewhere, Jimmy and Will felt like schoolboys after they received an emergency visit from HMRC (yikes) which scheming Caleb arranged.

From menopause chats to trifles, here’s everything that happened in Emmerdale tonight (Wednesday, August 28).

    Emmerdale tonight: Moira’s health updates

Emmerdale tonight started with a lone Moira shivering on the floor of her barn. Despite being an animal lover, this appeared strange to her.

She could not move and reached for a horse blanket to keep away the chill. She looked exhausted despite the full face of makeup.

Later, she entered her home while Isaac ate his toast (there was no milk on the dairy farm for his cereal). Moira explained she was looking over one of their cows when Isaac insulted her scent.

Moira in obvious discomfort took a painkiller while Cain grew uncharacteristically angry (no surprise there).

Moira blamed her struggles on Cain for stressing her out and stormed from the house before he could get another word in.

    Cain’s frustration

After (not) cooling off, Cain and Moira engaged in yet another argument. Cain revealed he spoke to Nate, to which Moira exploded. She insisted she was ill, potentially going through the menopause, and wouldn’t change for him.

Back in his stomping ground of the pub, Cain confided in Chas and admitted he blamed Moira for flirting openly. Chas openly defended Moira and told him she’s probably right about the illness.

Ever the voice of reason, Chas told him to calm down and talk to Moira properly.

Later, Moira took another wee kip on the sofa while Isaac looked after her and made his own dinner. He requested to eat out and Moira said she’d consider it when they got home, despite them both being there already.

Isaac laughed at his mum, but Moira looked distressed and worried when reality set in.

Will Isaac and Moira keep their pact and refuse to tell Cain about her so-called dizzy spells?

    Diesel dilemma

As if Will hadn’t suffered enough negativity recently, a HMRC inspector turned up at the Haulage yard in the morning. She informed that she received reports of the highly-illegal red diesel. Will, although worried, was convinced he’s clean…

That conviction quickly turned into a hefty fine which could threaten to harm him and Jimmy. On a war path, Will decided to take his anger out on Billy.

He stopped him in the street and shouted at Billy for talking to him rudely. Tired of his rambles, Billy bit back and told him Dawn’s reaction was entirely his fault – and we loved the drama!

Scrambling for a retort, Will accused Billy of tampering with the diesel at the yard. That was one accusation too far for Billy and he stormed off.

    Caleb the crook

The true villain revealed himself in a blue shirt. Caleb was delighted to hear Ruby had directed a HMRC officer to the yard to discover red diesel he himself had planted.

Ruby was equally delighted with her husband as the pair schemed to get the Haulage yard to themselves. She helpfully suggested Caleb should dress as the devil if he signs on Halloween.

The blonde bob must help with gossip, as Ruby happened to overhear Nicola and Jimmy discuss their new hefty fine. Her demands for coffee quickly died and she settled back to hear more about Jimmy and Will’s downfall.

Billy walked in for cake (yum) and Jimmy requested he made up with Will. Safe to say Billy refused and suggested Will was not the man they thought they knew.

Jimmy decided to go to the pub and Ruby was quick to share this with Caleb, who just so happened to be there when Jimmy walked in.

    Dinner chats

Nothing appears to please Jimmy more than a steak and kidney pie with a pint, but tonight he loved the company of Caleb. Jimmy asked Caleb how he looked so wrinkle-free, to which Caleb was keen to share.

A few pints down and a trifle later, Caleb made more strategic chess moves to get information from Jimmy. Growing more frustrated at his partner Will, Jimmy jokingly offered Caleb half the business.

Caleb surprisingly refused and joked it was due to Jimmy’s complaints on Will. Jimmy joked he regretted making the comments.

He then told Nicola he was only half joking and would consider the sale.

    Not yet, Caleb

Back at their flat, Ruby was shocked to hear Caleb didn’t jump at the fact he could buy the business. But Caleb revealed he wants to wear Will down before he takes it over.

The scheming couple laughed and decided to wait their plan out until they were certain they could get their own way.

Surprisingly, Caleb showed emotion and suggested he felt guilty about playing Jimmy. He is, after all, a good person…

Safe to say, Ruby quickly changed his mind.

  • So, is that the end of Rose then? What’s to come after THAT flashback episode

So, is that the end of Rose then? What’s to come after THAT flashback episode

In yesterday’s episode (Monday, August 26), Emmerdale finally revealed the truth about Rose and her disappearance.

Until now, fans did not know if Rose was dead or alive after she went missing earlier this month. But now a flashback episode has cleared everything up.

Here’s everything you need to know about where Rose has been.

    What happened to Rose?

In the lead up to Rose’s disappearance, Kim Tate figured out that Rose and Ruby had been working together in an attempt to bring her down.

Kim being Kim wouldn’t stand for such treachery and ordered Rose to pack her bags and leave Home Farm. But as is often the case, things spiralled out of control and Rose ended up trapped in the boot of Will’s car.

Will and Kim let Rose go at the side of the road, handing her cash and warning her to stay away.

However, once Will and Kim had gone, viewers saw an SUV pull up alongside Rose and the contents of Rose’s purse were then shown strewn all over the grass, leaving viewers to speculate about what had happened to her.

The truth about Rose is revealed

Last night, it was revealed that Rose’s daughter Dawn had lied to dad Will about son Evan needing a bone marrow transplant. It was just a ploy to see how long Will would continue to lie about his involvement in Rose’s disappearance.

In a further twist, yesterday’s episode revealed Dawn had actually been the one driving the mystery SUV. The truth came out after Dawn confronted her father for “weeks of lying.”

Flashbacks showed Rose confessing to Dawn that Ruby had been paying her to assist her in getting revenge on Kim. However, Rose insisted that she did love her daughter.

Will asked Dawn if she knew where Rose was. Dawn responded by throwing a wad of money at her dad. Further flashbacks showed Rose telling Dawn the truth about being thrown in the boot of the car and being paid to leave by Will and Kim. Rose then gave her daughter the money.

In the present day, Dawn explained that she’d taken her mum to the airport so she could start fresh. Dawn called her dad an “embarrassment” after he’d failed to act despite thinking Kim could have killed Rose.

Dawn moved out of Home Farm and warned her dad to stay away.

    Will we see Rose again?

Viewers know that there is still one secret that has yet to come out – Rose and Will’s night of passion. So could Rose return to spill the beans to Kim?

Spoilers for next week see Will adamant that Rose is his blackmailer and he decides to call the mystery number. He shouts down the phone, warning the tormentor to give up.

However, later he sees a video of Rose in Ibiza and realises that when he rung the mystery number there was no international dialling tone.

He is then faced with deep fake videos and porn images with his and Rose’s faces on them alongside a demand for £10k.

What’s next for Nate and Tracy?

    4. Tom threatens Belle

Belle is left devastated when she receives an email informing her there will be no disclosure following her Clare’s Law Application. Tom watches via his secret cameras, delighted by the news and basking in Belle’s distress.

Afterwards, Tom makes a coded comment to Belle. This alerts Belle to the fact Tom knows about the results of her private email. He reminds her of some exposing photographs he could release of her, leaving Belle stunned.

    5. Tom gets a taste of his own medicine

After realising the password to access her photos has been charged, Belle is left feeling distraught. However, she decides to fight back against Tom (YESSS, you teach him a lesson Belle!)

Belle forms a plan to steal Tom’s tablet in a bid to give him a taste of his own medicine. Before long, Tom is confronted by Belle in the Woolpack.

    Will anyone believe Belle’s accusations?

    5. Amelia reveals her new romance in Emmerdale spoilers

Surprisingly, Amelia reveals she and Tom are now in a relationship (seriously girl?!) She says it’s early days and they’ve been seeing each other for a couple of weeks.

As a result of Amelia’s announcement, Belle and Lydia are both left speechless by the news and Belle is terrified for Amelia’s safety.

Later on, Tom lets himself into Belle’s home using his key and Belle warns him to leave Amelia alone.

The day after her run in with Tom, Belle leaves her house in a trance-like state and wanders down Main Street. She is haunted by her imagined futures.

In this special episode focusing on Belle’s choices (ooh, we do love a good special episode), will she find the courage to open up about the abuse she’s faced?

    7. Moira sees red

When Moira spots Cain and Ruby bantering, along with Ruby giving Cain’s arm a squeeze, she sees red. Moira barges into Mill Cottage and accuses Ruby of trying to sleep with Cain. Ruby is baffled by Moira’s actions.

Shortly after Cain and Caleb arrive, Moira headbutts Ruby with Cain having to restrain her (Moira’s the Queen of the Glasgow Kiss and we can’t wait for this one!) Eventually, Moira is taken away by Cain, while Caleb promises a furious Ruby he will sort it all out.

    8. Cain is frustrated

Following Moira’s actions at Butlers, Cain demands to know what is going on with his wife. He soon realises she’s forgotten to go for her blood tests.

As a result, Cain storms out, while Moira is left feeling confused and upset.

What’s wrong with Moira? (We’re DESPERATE to know) And, will Cain forgive her?

Feeling unable to ask John to stay, Aaron is left feeling awkward when he hears it’s John’s last day on the farm.

So, is this the end for Aaron and John? It’s Soap Land, so we’re guessing not…

Emmerdale spoilers: Will blackmailed as a deep fake video of him and Rose is released

In next week’s Emmerdale spoilers, Will is targeted by a mystery blackmailer. The tormentor wants a whopping ten grand to stop a deep fake porn video of Will and Rose going viral.

But who is targeting Will? And will he cough up the cash to keep his secret?

Will is under pressure in Emmerdale spoilers

Will is under attack from one of his enemies and is receiving threatening messages and calls. Whoever this person is, they are intent on wrecking Will’s life. And it seems they’ve got the dirt on him to do that.

As the week begins, Will reaches the conclusion his tormentor must be Rose. After all, she has every reason for wanting to make him suffer.

Taking action, Will decides to ring the mystery number that’s been hounding him. Jimmy’s horrified as Will seethes down the phone to ‘Rose’, ordering her to give it up.

But has Will got the wrong person?

Will accuses Rose of terrorising him

The mystery deepens when Will sees a video of Rose living it up in Ibiza. It makes Will realise he may have been too hasty in accusing his ex.

The number he called didn’t ring with an international dial tone. Which means unless Rose possesses the ability to be in two places at once, then it’s not her targeting Will.

This leaves Will back at square one. Neither he or Jimmy have the first clue who the caller could be. And Will is also worried what could happen next. Just how far is this individual prepared to go in order to ruin his life?

Well, he’s about to find out.

Emmerdale spoilers: Will falls victim to blackmail

Later, an email pings through on the work account which Jimmy shows to Will. He’s shocked and horrified to see a collection of pornographic images with his and Rose’s faces on.

Jimmy insists Will needs to go to the police and report the crime. But his colleague doesn’t want to involve the law, through fear of Kim finding out he slept with Rose.

It’s not long before another deep fake video is sent, which leaves Will fearing this is more than just a scare. He shows his phone to Jimmy with a message from the tormentor. They’re now demanding a huge ten grand to keep Will’s secret!

Where on earth is Will going to find that sum of money without raising Kim’s suspicions? And can he unmask his blackmailer before they follow through with their threat?

We definitely wouldn’t want to be in Will’s shoes right now!

  • Emmerdale tonight: Rose whereabouts revealed, Caleb’s a Swiftie, and Cain was left unimpressed with Moira’s gift

Emmerdale tonight: Rose whereabouts revealed, Caleb’s a Swiftie, and Cain was left unimpressed with Moira’s gift

Emmerdale finally revealed tonight what actually happened to Rose after her mysterious disappearance last month…

We were hoping for a huge revelation to come out but it turns out that Dawn just picked her up from the side of the road and drove her to the airport (we fear this episode was well and truly overhyped!)

Here’s everything that happened in Emmerdale on Monday, August 26th.

Flashback scenes revealed the truth about Rose

Dawn confronted Will over what happened to Rose tonight, admitting that she’d known the truth about Rose’s disappearance all along but had kept quiet.

She’d been the one to drive by Rose at the side of the road, getting out of her car and confronting her over the voice message she’d received.

In flashback scenes, Rose then confessed EVERYTHING, admitting that Kim and Will had wanted her gone. Dawn was less than impressed when she found an envelope of money stashed in Rose’s bag, realising that the couple had paid her to leave.

After finding out that Rose had spiked her drink, Dawn willingly took the wad of cash back from Rose and… drove her to the airport.

YES, after all that… nothing bad happened to Rose at all. She’s now living it up in the sun somewhere abroad, perfectly alive.

Livid with Will’s betrayal, Dawn then chucked the cash at him and told him to stay away from her and her family. Oh, she means business! Nobody’s going to get on the wrong side of Dawn again after this one.

She then packed her bags and decided to leave Home Farm with Billy, whilst revealing that she lied about Evan needing a bone marrow transplant just to play on her dad’s emotions. A well thought out but low move from Dawn, we’ll say!

Caleb and Jai both love a bit of Tay-Tay

In the Wooly, Caleb and Jai toasted to their new deal as Caleb prepared to cause chaos at the Haulage.

However, Chas soon started wondering why they were acting so pally with each other all of a sudden. Caleb then quickly covered, suggesting that they were both trying to decide on the best Taylor Swift song of all-time. Jai claimed ‘Love Story,’ whilst Caleb declared ‘All Too Well’ as the reigning champion.

Come on lads, we all know that ‘Long Live’ is the ultimate T-Swift tune, don’t we?!

John Sugden glares at Mack in Emmerdale

Warwick Pies are a very big deal

Now that he’s sticking around for a while, John started to learn the ropes to his new job up at the farm.

He soon started to bicker with Nate and Mack though, putting himself in charge despite being the newbie.

Unhappy to be answering the phone and making tea rather than putting in some proper graft outside, Cain then told John that the customer on the phone was Warwick Pies – a big deal. If John took anything away from today, it’s that he should never underestimate the importance of Warwick Pies. Ever. Again.

Moira’s gift didn’t go down well with Cain

Nate and Mack wondered why Moira had simply gone away for the night, with the only person in the know being Kyle.

When Moira returned, Cain and Moira failed to see eye to eye as Moira celebrated her new bull for the farm.

Cain was less than impressed to spot a bottle of booze in his wife’s bag. She told him that she’d brought it as a gift for him but Cain wasn’t that accepting of it. Sounds like a load of bull to us, Moira!

    Ella apologised to Wendy

After her recent outburst, Ella entered the Woolpack and thanked Wendy for dropping the charges (how nice of her!)

Wendy really didn’t want to hear it but admitted that she’d only dropped them to make things easier for everyone at work. Taking one for the team Wendy, good for you!

Review of the week: Piper’s alive, Ella’s lashing out, and what is Dawn up to?

This week’s Emmerdale review is an emotional rollercoaster – just like the soap itself! We’ve been pulled every which way this week and frankly we don’t know whether we’re happy, sad or just plain confused!

Read on to find out what’s been leaving our heads in a spin in this week’s Emmerdale review.

Tom with Piper the Dog in Emmerdale
Piper’s alive! But Tom’s still evil (Credit: ITV)

    Piper’s alive!

Of course the big revelation this week was that poor Piper, Belle’s beloved pooch, is ALIVE!

We have to admit, we had our suspicions. We’ve been soap fans long enough to know that, in the words of Taylor Swift, ‘no body, no crime’.

But even though we didn’t see Tom run Piper over, we wondered if we were being a bit hopeful. Maybe the soap rules were different for animals. And things did look bleak when Tom brought Piper’s little wicker coffin up to Wishing Well to bury her beside Belle’s Shetland pony, Hamish.

And then! The best twist ever! Piper’s alive! For a second we were thrilled to bits. Except, Tom’s given her away, and Belle still thinks she’s dead. How evil can one man be?! Honestly, THIS is what we mean by an emotional rollercoaster!

    Ella lashes out!

We can’t quite get to grips with how we’re supposed to feel about child killer Ella.

On the one hand, she’s done her time and everyone deserves a second chance. On the other – she doesn’t exactly help herself, does she?!

This week, when Gary – the cousin of her victim, Joanne – turned up at Ella’s birthday celebrations, Ella lost it.

Wendy tried to help but Ella lashed out, giving poor Wendy a huge thump in the face and scaring her. It turned out Ella wanted to be sent back to prison – the only real home she’d ever had.

But on top of our conflicted feelings about Ella, we also felt a bit odd about Liam and Manpreet trying to gaslight a frightened and battered Wendy into withdrawing her statement. Ella may have had her reasons, but she still attacked Wendy.

Maybe we just need to get to know Ella better, but for now, the jury’s out on how we feel about this former jailbird.

    Jai and Laurel’s money battle

Jai and Laurel’s divorce is becoming more acrimonious by the day and this week things took a turn. Except we’re not quite sure what’s going on.

Everyone’s lying and scheming and covering things up and now Caleb seems to be involved and we’re completely baffled.

All we really know is we’re totally Team Laurel!

Will looks worried at his phone in Home Farm

What’s Dawn up to in our Emmerdale review?

So Rose vanished, Will thinks Kim is responsible, Kim thinks Will did it, and she’s gone off to Dubai which makes Will even more suspicious that she’s the guilty party.

Meanwhile, Will’s sending Dawn messages from Rose’s phone and fretting, while Dawn worries about where her mum is.

    Except.

In Friday’s episode we discovered that Dawn’s been lying. She’s setting Will up for something and we’re not sure who’s in on it? Is this Dawn working with Rose to take revenge on her dad?

Or is it Dawn and Kim who have teamed up? Could Dawn, Kim AND Rose all be in on it? What even is IT? We’re so confused – and looking forward to next week’s episodes when hopefully it’ll all be explained.
